Video Transcript:
according to extremely deep research by asking Chad GPT there's about 100 to 250 new AI apps launched every single week and this video is about absolutely none of those it's about like four of them that I come back to regularly that I think more people should know about and then one that I kind of just like threw in there because I want to play with it and I think more people should know about it so why don't we jump in uh first and foremost nobody paid me to recommend any of these tools I don't get
any money if you sign up for them um they're just things I like so that being said let's dig into it so first up we have Korea um Korea is a really interesting tool it is essentially an all-in-one Powerhouse for anything visual generative AI so they have um image generation they have video generation with a bunch of different models like as you can see like all of the main models that have apis and then it has real-time image generation which we'll play with as well as enhancing uh and upscaling and then it has some uh
custom Laura training as well and a really neat editor so let's get into it um so Kaa uses mainly uses flux as their like default um image model they also give you access to um ideogram but we'll start with flux and since this is like my third time trying to make this video we are going to just keep going with what I was trying before which is um a crow let's see a photo of a crow riding a little motorcycle and what's great is that Kaa gives you photos in like 5 Seconds um which is
really nice and the quality is pretty good so you know these are fun uh kind of interesting but let's say I had something else in mind let's say that I really wanted these to be in certain style I could type that into the prompt here but I can also just click on the Styles and so they have Community Styles they have styles built by their team but you know I was really hoping for like an Adventure Time style obviously right so so I can select that and now I have a completely different completely different vibe
I didn't have to prompt anything um very cool and what's even more is that you can blend Styles so I can say yeah I liked Adventure Time but I also was kind of hoping it would maybe look like sort of an Alfred Hitchcock film too uh what happens when you blend those two it seems like they they went a little harder with hitch Hitchcock so uh let's bring that style down a little bit and anyways you get the idea it's fun there's different styles you can play with and if you want just like really high
visual quality you can bump up to flux 1.1 Ultra with this you don't get the style options but um let's see what we get if we generate that now uh these ones take a little longer what's nice though is that um you can actually run them here on your computer because if you were trying to run flux 1.1 Pro Ultra actually on your device you would need like a couple of very state-of-the-art Nvidia gpus and it still might still might take a little bit um so these are our crows on motorcycles for that which I
got to say like the quality um just it is very nice now let's just say let's ask ourselves where where's this Crow going where where's this little guy uh where's he going he's going to a birthday party and that is why we're going to head over to the editor and paste this little dude in there this is the new Crea editor it's kind of like the mid Journey editor where you can um expand you know like you can expand the image uh a little bit you can add things in you can remove things but um
in this case we are going to just add a little um birthday party hat on this dude because he is going to a birthday party that's why he's driving so fast on his little motorcycle um you know he really does I guess you can't really call it that little of a motorcycle because he is like half human and it looks a pretty reasonable scale but anyways so it's going to go through it's going to do its best to generate a party hat on this guy and what I like about Korea's editor as opposed to Mid
Journey's editor is that with Kaa you don't have to reprompt the entire image like with mid Journey if you were doing this you would have to draw that area and then you would have to say a crow riding a motorcycle wearing a party hat and yeah that's fine if it's a short prompt but if it's something more complex it becomes a little bit of a pain um so I think that's pretty good but I don't know is it is it good so this is the realtime area of Korea I've pasted in our little crow fellow
who's on his way to his birthday party and um what's cool about real time is obviously it's it's real time um I've added in a prompt here a crow riding motorcycle wearing a red party hat now there's two things I could do I could just crank up the AI strength on this and drag this around and see if it will give us that party hat like uh essentially each little pixel area that you drag this around is going to generate a different seed uh it's going to give you a different image and so yeah like
it'll give us some party hats but what's cool about real time is that you can grab your paintbrush and you're like you know it's very important to me that this is a blue party hat and you could just kind of put a blue thing there or you can you know make the make the paintbrush a little smaller and give him a a blue party hat and then you can select both of those and drag them around and get different results and then if you like really like one like let's say I actually like this because
he has turned into like a fully feathered humanoid Crow motorcycle birthday boy um we're just going to send this to the upscaler so we just click this upscale button that's going to take us to ka's creative upscaler which is very similar to magnific um does the same kind of thing you can upscale up to 8X which would give us like almost a 10,000 pixel wide image if we did that um so it already gave us the prompt um that's not because it was like following from other places where we generated stuff it just looked at
the image and figured out what the prompt was and then um okay so you can you can fiddle with these things here but what I usually do is I just go to the preset and I select flat sharp um just cuz it it generally gives me a faithful reproduction um but improves some details but doesn't make it like over sharp one of the the things that I guess I could make a small critique about with Korea is that when you're um like exporting a real-time image it gives you black you know black spaces around the
edges if you didn't fill up the whole area um which kind of makes sense like makes sense but it looks not great and uh it's kind of a kind of a funky experience when you bring it over to the upscaler but that being said I don't have too many critiques of Korea I think is a really great tool and it's um it's a great tool for the cost right like you could buy magnific for I don't even know how much like it's it's expensive and you might get you know slightly better upscaling results than you're
going to get here but you don't get I I guess they give you some image generation they don't give you video like I feel like Korea is a a a really nice offering um so anyways that's the upscaler two more things then we're going to move on um training so you can do custom Laura training you can upload selfies you can upload product photos you can upload say your own paintings and start generating new images in your own your own personal style um but I uploaded 10 photos of myself and to keep going with this
whole Crow motorcycle thing we're going to say a photo of Korea I didn't like actually tell it what my name was so it just defaulted to Korea photo of Korea riding a motorcycle with a black crow on his shoulder looking really cool all right and so we type that in and uh you know it's not perfect right but it's a really fast Laura training and it was only 10 images so uh I'm I'm not complaining and uh this is obviously this isn't really what it's for right like you could instead say like a photo of
Korea Andy um like I will say a studio headshot photo of Kaa um which again is Andy wearing a a blue suit and in that case you know um in that case my real estate career is Off to the Races um I also seem to have lost a few pounds I love I love this it's like a Canadian tuxedo of um not denim anyways all right let's continue along so that is that um the last thing that we didn't cover so far is video Generation Um the video generation takes a while so we're not going
to like dive deep into it but essentially you choose which model that you want to use and it will show you what options are available so like if you're using Luma you can upload a start frame and an end frame if you're using um clling or cing you know Pro you can use start frame end frame and Camera motion so it'll give you you know different different options there and you can type your thing in um I used cling 1.5 for this uh robot walking into a room turning around and leaving by jumping out the
window and uh you know it's like the this is cool because if you're not somebody who's generating tons of video but you're just like doing a lot of uh a lot of random kind of like AI stuff you can get enough video generation and get to play with different models without having to create a bunch of different subscriptions um I think this is really uh an interesting and useful component of Korea and anyways that's it for now I'm sure there's stuff that I've missed but um check out Kaa it's great let's move on to our
next tool all right so next up is Pinocchio Pinocchio is um just super helpful it's a oneclick launcher for a bunch of different AI tools that you normally need to know how to like use GitHub and kind of like have some development Kno how to just feel comfortable getting around which I don't have which is why I use Pinocchio so um let's take a look this is what Pinocchio looks like well actually let's just look at their site for a second um these are some examples of their like verified apps that you can run so
you can get comfy UI which is uh great for like running open source image models um or not necessarily open source but yeah like available image models that you can run locally um bolt which you can use for web development like you can type in like make me a to-do list app and it will code it for you um lots and lots of stuff face pooke which is super cool so lots of cool stuff to see here but I'll just give you a quick example of Pinocchio running on my machine so let's run just like
a chat like an llm um so I have chat with mlx which is a way to run different llms locally on your Mac um so I can just select which model I want and I already have llama 38b instruct installed um and I can just say yo what's up all right cool um so what's neat about this is like I think that it's a smart idea to just have this installed on your machine because if the internet goes out if you're on a plane and you have question and you don't have good internet or what
like you can just ask this to your computer now like you don't have to go on the internet so um I can say like give me a great recipe for something um using eggs onions flour sugar and butter I don't know what that would be um so caramelized onion and egg fritters with butter glaze uh for some reason it's typing this out in white font um but that's fine and again this could be happening completely without the internet because it's all just coming from the computer itself it's pretty cool okay let's move on to our
next thing upscale is exactly what you would expect it is is an image upscaler so what's cool with upscale is that it's completely free it runs locally on your machine and uh it's much better at faithful upscaling than it is at like creative upscaling which is what Kaa and magnific are good at they'll take a source image upscale it and add new information whereas upscale really just tries to take the source image and create something as Faithfully accurate as possible from that you can download it and run it on your computer and when you're downloading
it okay you're going to go to download upscale they have Mac OS Windows all that stuff if you click Mac OS they're going to try to get you to download it on the App Store and they're going to try to make you pay money for it but you don't have to do that you can just click on alternative downloads and get the uh Mac DMG so uh sorry to be that guy but um it's free you don't have to pay for it you don't have to steal it you just download the DMG and that's it
okay um great tool get it use it great tool okay let's move on to our next thing which is visual electric so visual electric is interesting because it's an image generator that has a point of view it feels like it's like an image generator for designers so I'm here in the UI and uh it feels different from other image generators because it kind of feels like using fig Jam or Meo or something like that like it's just an open canvas so we can come in here and we can type in uh you know photo of
a you guessed it Crow riding a motorcycle hit enter and it's going to give us two images Square format um in a photography style so we can see what that looks like and I'll show you a few of the kind of like interesting and helpful things um so all right you can already tell like the quality on this is really good this is their own proprietary image model I'm pretty sure um but you know I feel like I don't know the Crow needs to be wearing a helmet and the Motorcycle needs to be smaller so
we can come over to their art director here and say um the motorcycle needs to be smaller and the crow should be wearing a small helmet for safety obviously so now it's going to give us two more right next to our original one so if I zoom out you can just see right and there's a lot you know a lot more you can do with this so look at that the motorcycle is significantly smaller and the crow is wearing a helmet um now we can also look at their different styles so these are their featured
Styles you know Airy cinematic fashion photography film um I'm kind of curious of what it would look like in a flat design illustrative style so let's do that but generally speaking like you get the idea right it's um similar to other image tools but feels a little bit more collaborative and fine-tunable than certain other tools great now last but definitely not least glyph all right I don't even know what category to put glyph in I don't know what to make of it but it seems fun and I like that because so much AI stuff is
I don't know it's just really serious um glyph is essentially a way to build little generative AI apps they call them glyphs and you can kind of build it however you want so um for example these are some of their uh featured glyphs you can do a Christmas sweater you can do Panavision movies you can do image to Nintendo 64 style like classic memes that's fun but one of the things that initially drew me to glyph was the fact that they have a um Chrome extension so let's look up the Nike logo real quick all
right and I'm going to right click I'm going to glyph it and I can choose a glyph preset so but I just want to put um I want to put that logo anywhere so just prompt the context in which the logo should appear how about a face tattoo on a cool kid glyph it glyph it there you go face tattoo of a cool kid it even knew to put in Nike Below on the cheek genius so that's initially what brought me into glyph was just realizing like oh that that could be helpful as like a
a marketing person uh but there's just tons of interesting little things that you can do and you can build your own glyphs which is pretty cool um so you can just come over to build and you can start building with glyph blocks so you can you know all right uh you know text input but maybe image input and then like image to text I don't know just bunch of cool stuff you can do so that's it that's the video my goodness I don't know if this will ever see the light of day but if it
does um please like subscribe all the things let me know down below if you liked this format or if you You' prefer me to go back to a much shorter format um that's all have a great New Year all right bye
