[Music] it's funny because I wrote the lyrics for like on their own like in 2016 on the way back from hunger Jude with my brother we're on the boss and I remember like coming over from the fast movie like all my imaginary tried to rob which was kinda funny but I'm yeah kinda came from not like I was sitting on the boss those listen to J Dilla next day but one who came on it was like DD one or two or three or something like that i was just listening i just opened the note on
my phone I started right now and like that like opening line of the verse you know first like the pull my cornflakes on the counter I was like then I went back and wrote the hook I understand like talking about breakfast at the end and I was like I like I can't rock like so I put it away I was in like 50 or maybe got the time maybe fourth year that's a guy kind of rap like I can't do that rooo much street cred but and yeah so no I just like went home downloaded
that J Dilla B and I just recorded and I was like I know that's right save that anyway in like BAM stood out a few days they put on Sanford put on probably that and left it and now it's going through my soundcloud like must have been January like this year so like 2019 I came across that house sitting with Tanika I was like why didn't know anything release is properly and then I kind of like was like how I crumpled my voice I like afraid of money it was like the first time I put
my voice on anything and it was it was a bit like low-key like it was underneath the instrumental so now I was like now look I'll I'll redo the beat just for the crack and actually make the beef because obviously I'm not gonna use a J Dilla beat and like that's where it's they're just made the beat and it was really quick like I made it in like three days or something like the whole thing and then the rest was just mixing after that so I feel like when it happens fast right I don't get
sick of it as easy it's grand he'd be done it was actually to be first because I remember the instrumental that I wrote the lyrics to was agreed like it was like for tour for our kind of thing so we started with the bees and there's like this funny if hear this and is liked it then it like reverse cake which like that's a really cool by was it J did I had a in as well but I didn't quite do it as good as he did but I'm so pretty good like the cake itself
and that's actually me playing high hats as well which was pretty sweet I did an old record I just caught the high out of it then that's me playing the actual drums via music month I think after that it was yeah after to be I think yeah it was actually I remember finding this guitar loop in a sampler pack I had and it was like I couldn't find the actual nail fertilize me but it shocked that because it was that like it was just weird like jazzy like noodley kind of thing then I wanted to
kind of replicate it like I heard it in rows of q-tip music and like Tribe Called Quest and wound hanging down I really wanted to replicate that like always good like dosti MIDI guitar sound not like MIDI like electronic for like mid-range honey like I know I researched for Sammy's for ages and that was the what kind of woman that worked the best like I pitched it Oh [Music] I was actually it was that on its own for quite a while and I actually copied and pasted it cuz it was gonna be a draft like
I wasn't actually gonna do anything widows and I actually copied and pasted the hook that I recorded in 2016 I'm just dropped it straight in we're just gonna take us to turn work how about you yelling to decrease in your bar don't stress and all flights to the corporate operators kiss of your phone but okay and a sample please work up while you're young to be crushing your bar don't stress doll face to them corporate operators kiss it your phone go get a bowl eat your breakfast yeah it's like the exact recording from back and
Walker I just exposed moist and so if anyone remixes me the most pain what came after actually I didn't record the verses for a while I think after that I went into college and was like Hugh who's my bass player in my life and I was like give me some fat bass and he record we did a few takes and it's funny because when we recorded that it was actually that Lake at the end which I really love my favorite part of it was like my favorite write the whole thing and he did not like
first when we sat down to record it and we kind of put it everywhere in anywhere but that seemed to be the best place to put it it sounded class in the end was it there or is this a shaker or didn't like off B thing pretty boring records static of course oh yeah that little is a little vocal sample which is this tell you hear jokes like in other courses and originally I should see my drag it over at work well so we you know originally this was a the intro to the whole track
I made a start which would have been pretty it was kind of good at the time I suppose but the more I talk about the more one it was kind of crazy into I didn't want a sample end up in trouble so I that's there's what I chopped it to that the verses that there's all those telephone sound effects and so but the verse is this verse comes loose on the counter turn on the radio take a second to read kind of movies that whole verse was required again in 2016 I just drag and drop
it cuz I'd like to take but the second verse oh you shouldn't hit the button that we know what that's you mice is recorded in this very room that I want to say like the whole thing was kind of made in this room and bedroom producer like but and yeah it was like built from the ground up like I kind of took her and like pulled it all back and built this back from the first kick drum to the 2016 vocals and those do to what you listen to today just pretty cool [Music] there it
is everything you hear on its own please don't remix me deconstructed baby [Music]
