There are 8 types of jacked people who will never be able to achieve a respectable shape, because their behaviors lead them to failure. Number 8 on our list is that person who wants to buy the result, thinking that using a good supplement or using a combination of supplements will solve their life. Others believe that by being in a good gym and hiring a personal trainer, it will ensure that all the results come, that all the work has already been done.
I've seen this happen very often, people saying the following sentence, Now that I have hired a good personal trainer, my body will be in shape. No, what I'm actually going to do is direct you, show you the way. From the moment you hire a professional, and you have a direction, you will have more work than you had before.
Because now you know what to do. And the worst of all here is the person who buys anabolic steroids because they place responsibility for the result there. She doesn't want to take on that responsibility.
It won't be supplements, it won't be your personal trainer, it won't be anabolic steroids. In the end, the one who has to get off the couch and go to the gym to train is you. The one who has to dedicate himself to the diet, to doing the exercises that you don't want to do is you.
The result cannot be bought. The result is built. And that brings us to the seventh topic on the list, which is people who are careless about their diet.
There is a term called a hedonistic diet. This word hedonistic comes from the idea of pleasure, a diet that brings pleasure. Obviously, these diets with more palatable, more pleasurable foods, are not good for those who want to build a physique.
Obviously, eating a fast food snack will be much more harmful to your body and health than following a diet that includes lean protein, rice, vegetables, salad. For some people, the word vegetables disgusts them. And then I'll bring up the idea of the child's palate, which is that person who only wants to eat what's tasty and not what's functional for their body.
If you want to build a beautiful, respectable physique, you will need to eat the things that your physique demands and not the things that you want to eat. And then I'll tell you that eating chocolate every day, at all times, the vast majority of people will want that. But people who have beautiful, fit bodies, that's not what they do.
The sixth type of jacked people who fails to build his physique is that person who just wants to do what he likes. I just talked about those who only want to eat what they like, right? You're starting to understand that, bro, it's not about doing what you want to do, but rather doing what needs to be done.
He just wants to do what he likes. He only wants to train chest, but he only wants to do the exercises he likes. He only wants to train his arms, train his legs, bro, wow, never.
And this is an issue that, when I was teaching personal training, was not discussed. Several students said, oh, no, Laércio, I don't. .
. I don't need to train legs. I already play soccer during the summer.
For you to train with me, you will do what I tell you to do. You won't come here to do what you want. If you just want to do what you want, you don't need me.
You train alone. Oh no, but I don't want to. But I didn't ask you whether you want it or not.
I'm just telling you that's what we're going to do. Wow, Laércio, but you're rude and yada yada yada. I did and I see exactly this type of behavior as something very important, because at that moment what did this student understand?
Sometimes it's important to do what he doesn't want to do. And then I'll tell you, in order for you to build a respectable physique, a nice physique, you're going to need to do a lot of things that you don't want to do. Think of great champions.
Do you really think these guys just do what they want to do? Most of the things they do are not things they want to do. And yes, these are things they understand are important to do.
There is a quote by Mike Tyson where he says that discipline is doing what you don't want to do as if you loved it. Take an x-ray of your life. How have you been behaving about this?
Do you want to wake up early to get the day's things done? Obviously not. And have you been waking up early?
Do you want to go to the gym every day consistently to build results? Obviously there will be days when you won't want to go. So, what have you been doing with it?
What have you been doing at that moment when you are faced with a situation? I have option A that I don't want to do and option B that I want to do. But you know that option A will bring you the result later on.
So, do you give in to your laziness, your desire to be pampered by life and make decision B? Or do you identify that this is the best option and go for it even if you don't want to? Reflect on this.
The fifth one is the one that leaves me most negatively impressed. He's the internet's know-it-all. It's that person who watched a video here, saw a little post there, and now thinks they know the ropes.
And for real, right? She doesn't think she understands, she's sure. From the moment you are sure that you know, you close yourself off to any kind of learning.
Let me tell you something that happened recently. Very, very rarely do I do this. But that day I don't know what happened and I did.
I'm relaxed training. And then I saw a guy doing a cable rope grip skull crusher. And he was doing the cable rope grip skull crusher by lowering the bar onto his forehead and then going up.
There is a scientific study that proved the test being done in this way, lowering the bar on the forehead and raising it to the end and doing it partially, not raising it to the end. And the partial had more hypertrophy than the total. But why did the partial have more response?
Because it generated more metabolic stress. For what? When you push yourself to the end, your triceps rest, because you have aligned the weight and its force vector with your joints.
And this means there is no torque, no muscular demand. And I thought, bro, I'm going to help him. And I went to talk to him.
I said, bro, congratulations on your physique. I see you training triceps. And, bro, can I give you a tip to make the exercise even better?
And the moment I asked the question, I already felt that. . .
You know that thing where the person, oh, okay, can. And I still thought about whether I should speak or not. I thought, bro, I'm already here, right?
Okay, I'll talk. And I explained to him everything I just told you. And do you know what he answered me?
“Ah, but I saw CBUM doing it like that. ” There I already realized that the subject was going to be fruitless. Because the guy saw something on the internet, he saw an athlete doing it and he thinks that's the right thing to do and he follows it.
How many things do you see on the internet How many things are you sure that they work? Are you sure that works for you? We've already made a video here on the channel telling you not to do the training that athletes do.
Like, bro, you are you, the athlete is the athlete, you don't even know why he's doing that. The advice I give you here, if you are one of those people, is to always be open to learning something. I've been doing this for over 20 years and I'm still learning, bro.
If you are one of those, look in the mirror, And as Jonato Prestes says, stick to your insignificance. Because at the end of the day we are learning all the time. So lower that pride, that arrogance a little and learn.
The fourth type of jacked people who will never succeed, who will not be saved, is the one who goes to the gym to impress other people. And why will this type of jacked people never have results, never be saved? If he is there just to get attention, his focus is on putting on high loads, he doesn't have much awareness of training.
What he's doing, ultimately, is getting closer to injuries than solid results. But there's something else here. Where is his attention directed?
Randomly lifting weights like an idiot. There's that guy who keeps admiring himself in the mirror a lot, those ridiculous tank tops, the one who keeps shouting at the gym to get attention, but not just men. Let's also draw attention here to the subject of several reactions that we have been doing recently, which are women who go to the gym wearing extremely flashy clothes, which create a completely unpleasant situation in the gym.
The gym is not for showing off. The gym is not for you to draw attention. The gym is for you to build your results.
Where is your focus? Are you directing other people or are you directing yourself to develop, to become better? Instead of looking at other people, look at the dumbbells, look at the bars, look at the machines, Look at the movement you are doing.
Notice your body, what you are feeling from work. When you go to do an exercise, which muscle are you working? Are you paying attention to him?
Is this very clear in your head? What is the movement you have to do? Is this very clear?
Or are you lifting weights, putting them up and down? I strongly advocate the idea of smart training in the sense that you know specifically what you are doing and the results it will bring you. I joke that it's like going to the gym and taking your brain with you.
Because there are people who go to the gym, and I call them workhorses, who go there just to lift weights. Guys, bodybuilding is much more than that. These are questions that our Muscle 60D students have several and several classes within the platform to educate them in this way.
There's an entire module called Armored Mind in there, which is to build this armored mindset. I am now inviting you to become one of my students too, to learn about the work we do and to make the most of every moment in the gym. And I'll even put my technical team to take care of you.
My personal trainers, my nutritionists and my physiotherapists. You are not alone anymore. You don't have to go around researching things depending on the people out there.
We will take care of you. There is a link below, click it. Third on our list is the shortcut hunter.
The lazy one. There is nowhere to run. Do you want to have a good physique?
It's training every day, it's eating the right way every day. There's nowhere to run, bro. “Oh no, but I saw it because now there’s a diet with yada yada yada.
. . .
”, “No, because the training yada yada yada. . .
” Wake up, old man. Do you really think that if this existed, great athletes wouldn't be doing it? Think of an athlete you like.
Christiano Ronaldo. Great, so we can get out of the bodybuilding bubble a little. What else does this guy do?
Why did he get to where he got to? If you stop to analyze Cristiano Ronaldo's game for a moment, you will see that he does not have all the talent that Ronaldinho Gaúcho had, that Lionel Messi had. But the guy, he became the greatest in the world several times over, exactly because he trained so hard.
He didn't train, he trains a lot. The examples go on and on, bro. We can think of Michael Jordan, why not think of Oscar Schmidt, Senna himself.
These guys trained, there is no shortcut. So, if you are one of those people who keeps looking for a little hack, an easier way to do it, this is only taking you away from the result you want. The second type of jacked people of gym who will never be saved is the one who promises and then disappears.
It's the one that starts on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and it doesn't go on, Friday, then a month goes by, it's already going more or less, it doesn't go beyond the famous three-month syndrome. This is the guy who gives the most easy money to the gym. He starts because he is excited.
Our brain loves new things, did you know? And then he goes, he says, bro, now I'm going to do it, I'm a different person, now, man, it's going to happen. But then, when he starts to face the most difficult part of his day-to-day life, it's maintaining consistency that he lets go.
Motivation is gone, especially because the results take a while to come. Our mind is constantly making calculations to know what actions you are going to take. And it defines which is the most advantageous and which is the least.
Define this behavior as follows, what is the cost it has for me and what is the reward it brings me. Imagine, you're on the couch right now and you know you need to go to the gym to train. Your brain says, bro, what's the cost of training?
It's high, you have to get out of here, you have to move, you have to get there, use force, feel pain. What is the cost of staying here on the couch watching Netflix? Very low.
What reward will you get from all this effort of going to the gym? Very low. The result will give you zero now.
You'll leave there feeling quite the opposite, like, sore, tired, damn. What's the reward for sitting on the couch watching Netflix? It's high, it's now, it's pleasure.
I put on a series that I like and sit there, relaxed. It will happen sooner or later. And it is exactly at this moment that you need to have your mind strong enough to look at these two behaviors and say, man, I don't want to do this one.
But then you look ahead at the result you want. It doesn't matter if it's Monday, if it's Tuesday, if it's Wednesday, if it's been a month, if it's been two months. You just do it.
Why? Because it's not in the plan, hand. But if you speak, Laércio, but what plan?
If you don't have a plan, you need to get one, bro. Because once you have a plan, you know exactly where you are going. And from the moment you don't have a plan, you will get carried away by the pleasure of the current behavior.
And it is exactly the absence of this plan that will lead us to the number one bodybuilder who will not be saved. Who is that guy who is always making an excuse. Because look at everything I told you.
Stay on the couch or go to the gym? Then he says, bro, I want to stay on the couch. So he can stay on the couch without feeling guilty, he finds an excuse.
And I'll tell you that our mind is a master at this, at coming up with plausible, Oscar-worthy justifications, sometimes, to support that weak-minded decision you made. And then the guy makes an excuse that it's raining today. Oh no, but I worked my ass off today, I deserve to rest.
And the examples go on and on. When you are faced with a challenging situation, do you focus on resolving the issue or do you focus on making an excuse, playing the victim and continuing to whine? It's your decision, bro.
I'm just here to open your eyes, to warn you that you may have been engaging in this type of behavior and that this behavior won't get you very far, bro. Failures have this kind of behavior. Then they will see other people who are successful in life and they will say it was luck.
But when these people were there facing a challenging situation and resolving the issue, then no one sees it. You can change that now. And if you're in that transformation vibe, click on this video here, which are habits that from the moment you put them into your life, you will see your body transforming quickly.
