hello friend welcome to a Christian channnel of productivity today I'm here to explain to you how you can learn English 100% for free and without having any friend to practice with so as you can see I'm making this entire video English because I want to prove it to you that these tips are really really effective and that you are going to be able to learn this language by following the tips that I'm going to give you today so you may think why we start with the listening part basically because listening is the most easy one

to be really honest to you the process of speaking and writing and reading is not that easy so you have to start with the most easy part so that's why I'm talking about listening today so basically when I was a teenager I listened to a lot of songs in English I only start listening to songs in Portuguese when I became an adult [Music] have a contact with the language every single day of your life in this first Contact you don't have to recognize every single word there are words in English that we naturally know for

example home office job brainstorming freelancer or hobby maybe in Portuguese you don't say those words like I just said but you know them in this first Contact I also recommend that you try to recognize words that are similar in Portuguese like banana animal chocolate drama or hospital and I have to tell you again you're not going to say those words exactly like you say in Portuguese but it's really really important for you to recognize similarities and then to be comfortable with the language and of course that you don't have to use it only songs to

have a contact with the language every single day of your life you also can use different kind of content for example TV shows and movies especially TV shows helped me a lot to improve my listening for you maybe podcasts can be useful or maybe audio books YouTube videos or even games and here I want to talk about something really really important White Noise if you turn on YouTube and put it a song to listen to this music is a white noise I strongly recommend that you play some content while doing something in your apartment maybe

cleaning maybe doing the dishes it's really really important for you to have a white noise and don't worry you don't have to pay too much attention to it you might think that this is not useful because you're not learning anything but in the background your brain is trying to recognize the words and is trying to listen and understand different things [Music] so here we can go to the second tip of this video listen over and over again I have an amazing quality because I can listen to things over and over again and I never get

sick of it for example I listen to the same songs and watch the same TV shows for ages like I have friends as my favorite show of all times and I already watch friends so many times and helped me so much with my English since I already know their story and basically all the lines of the show I can watch while I'm doing different stuff like what I said before Wasing the dishes or cleaning the apartment this is a really amazing skill that I have because I can listen over and over again and then never

get bored so I want you to remember that repetition is a tool to fix the knowledge in your head it's kind of like art to make an amazing piece of art a person has to practice every single day so this person has to dedicate hours and hours to learn different skills and to learn how to apply different techniques as an amateur artist I definitely hate to listen from a person that I have a talent I don't have a talent I just love art I just love um pictures and I spend a lot of time trying

to make something pretty I put a lot of time into that painting so that's why it looks good it's not because I have a talent and it's basically the same thing with the English if you don't practice of course that you're not going to be able to speak it or even to understand what a person is saying and honestly I don't have an amazing talent just because I've learned English all by myself the thing is that I spend a lot of time practicing and a lot of time listening that's why I get so good at

it try to listen to the same song every single day for a month and if you really hate repetition try to listen to the same song every single day for a week at least after doing this you're going to know different words and recognize [Music] them so here we can talk about the best and the final tip of this video this tip is amazing please listen to this to learn how to listen in English you have to listen to content in the accent that you want to have but you're probably thinking Luciana what does that

mean I don't get it I definitely don't get it just like in Portuguese in English we have different accents for example there's the Canadian accent or maybe the British or maybe the Scottish there are different accents in this language the word water it's used in the American accent but in the British accent people say water and in the Scottish accent people say water can you see the difference I'm sorry if I'm doing something wrong I'm not that great with accents but that's how I see it this are the same word in different accents in English

so water water water I'm sorry if that's wrong I'm really sorry about it so what I'm talking about here is by deciding the accent that you want to have you're going to listen to content with this accent in this way you're going to understand what a person is saying in that accent and also you're going to have facilities when the time comes for you to talk if you know a little bit about accents you're going to notice that my English is kind of broke because I do have two different accents I have the American accent

as my main or more important accent when I'm talking but I do say a few words with the British accent and that makes my accent like broke for example when I'm speaking my intro I say hello friend welcome to your Christian channel of productivity but if I would say this only in the ameran accent I should say hello friend welcome to a Christian channel of productivity so that's why you have to listen to me please listen to me you have to listen to content with the accent that you want to have because if you don't
