you know the idea is a very simple one and you know the mama mentality simply means trying to be the best version of yourself that's what the mentality means it means every day you're trying to become better and it's a constant quest is an infinite quest top laws the only way - in the world you just have to get ready for the offseason you know next season fun starts right now to reach a certain level of success in any field that you're in you have to have an ego that's going on saying I want to
be the best this is what's going to drive me it will come how about hot water this needs to get done and I need to be successful it's a choice that you have [Music] how are you inspiring others like to find themselves that is the ultimate championship so how much harder will you work in this offseason now to get back to the championship I'll push myself to exhaustion one five championships us great another team win a championship Bishop the team's gonna champion make sure those things come and go but what stays is how did you
use your passion and use that to inspire somebody else to create their passion and then how can they pass that on to the next person that is true success there's a choice we have to make as people as individual so if you want to be great at something you have to make the inherent sacrifices that come along with that family time hanging out with your friends said the age of 18 I knew that I was not going to be stopped this was my life we all can be masters at our craft but you have to
make sacrifices that come along with Menton a decision look at this defeat I look at this just winning your enemies this of course I did you know they've result it's repeating one it's a whole another year we did last year was great it's not that difficult to me I just forget about it move on to the next events when it again last touched by the world brewer Kobe is down on a knee and hopefully okay the piece of bone and kobe bryant's right index finger had been sheared off by a tendon most people would head
for a hospital Kobe has an ability to focus on the task at hand which is the game just minutes later Bryan would head back into the game he doesn't focus on that pain [Music] I'm very demanding I want I want you to perform at your absolute best I want you to be grateful nation to maximize the potential of god-given abilities yeah you know it's it's funny like it's me the brutality is a really simple one the sister the confidence comes from preparation you know so when the game's on the line I'm not asking myself to
do something that I haven't done thousands of times before right so but I'm prepared I know what I'm capable of doing I know what I'm comfortable going yeah I know what I'm not comfortable all right so in those moments if it looks like ice cold still wait for a big smile out of year up to all what's the story are you not happier you're only half happier instead of be happy about two jobs now finish job finished all things [Music] but when you're going through situations and what option do you have but to go through

able to do offensively and defensively is communis is unbelievable and I look up to a guy like Kobe Bryant because of what he's able to do every night he goes out on the basketball court so once again I'm quoting again saying that Coach rider the best part okay so if if your job is to try to be the best basketball player you can be all right to do that you have to practice you have to train right you want to train as much as you can as often as you can so if you get up
at 10:00 in the morning train at 11:00 12:00 say 12:00 train at 12:00 train for two hours 12:00 to 2:00 you have to let your body recover so you eat recover whatever you get back out you train start training again at 6:00 train from 6:00 to 8:00 right and now you go home and shower you eat dinner you go to bed you wake up and do it again right those are two sessions all right now imagine you wake up at 3:00 you train at 4:00 you go four to six come home breakfast relax oh so
now you're back at it again 9 to 11 relax and now it's done you're back at it again to the 4 and have you're back at it again you know 7 to 9 look how much more training I have done by simply starting at 4:00 all right so now you do that and as the years go on the separation that you have with your competitors and your peers just grows larger and larger and larger and larger and larger and by year five or six doesn't matter what kind of work they're doing a summer they're never
going to catch up because they're 5 years behind so it makes sense to get up and start your day early because you can get more working I did everything I possibly could and then it sounds crazy to say I won five championships and come up one short but obviously I'm ok with that it just wasn't in the cards for me to get at 6 or 7 no but I did everything possible to try to make it happen I can live with that any day it's very so you have to dance beautifully in the box that
you are comfortable dancing in right it's like everybody's box is different my box was to be extremely ambitious within the sport of basketball your box it's different to mine right every kid here has an old box but doesn't mean that your box isn't as beautiful as mine right everybody has their own is your job to try to perfect it and make it as beautiful of a canvas as you can made you and if you have done that and you have lived a successful life you have lived with mentality but but you you every kid every
person has the ability to put one foot in front of the other what's that attack right so like if you're saying okay I'm gonna climb Mount Everest at the bottom of the mountain and you look on right but if you break it down into sections and just one foot in front of the other one step at a time next you know you're at the top of the mountain because I think the greatest fear that we face is ourselves because we all have dreams it's very scary sometimes to accept the dreamer to have the scarier still
to say okay one day it's scary because you're afraid if you put your heart and soul into it and you fail in how you can finish so being fearless means put yourself out there [Music] what go forward not for anybody else [Music] a few seconds [Music] I think it's just know it's just a matter of what's important to you mm-hmm and what's important to you for whatever reason you know I felt like I didn't feel good about myself if I wasn't doing everything I could to be the best version of myself if I felt like
I left anything on the table it would eat away at me I want to be able to look myself in the mirror right so the reason why I can retire now and be completely comfortable about it because I know that I've done everything I could to be the best basketball player I could be
