WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER TELL ANYONE WHAT YOU ARE UP TO

why you should never tell anyone what you are up to God wants you to be silent Proverbs 17 28. even fools are thought wise when they keep silent with their mouths shut they seem intelligent silence is a great virtue even a fool is considered as wise when he keeps silent you cannot judge people until you hear from them God wants you to know the right time to speak and when to keep silent this is why Jesus commanded us to be wise as serpents but as gentle as a dove Matthew 10 16. behold I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves Jesus knew the reality of this world that unfortunately a lot of Christians don't know the world is an evil evil place the world owes you nothing and it is a ruthless place the world is a place that doesn't care if you are innocent it's not a place that cares if you have good intentions it's a place that will chew you up and spit you out not everyone has good intentions in your life and that is the truth no matter how good how wonderful you are the truth is not everyone will like you and will love you Jesus lived a perfect life he lived a selfless life everything the Lord Jesus Christ did was for the good of other people yet he still had enemies and people who wished him evil don't live with a naive attitude that everyone you meet will love you or like you they won't the Bible speaks of enemies the Bible speaks of the fact that you will have enemies Psalm 23 1-5 the Lord is my shepherd I shall not want he makes me lie down in Green Pastures he leads me beside the Still Waters he restores my soul he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for you are with me your rod and your staff they comfort me you prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies you anoint my head with oil my cup runs over notice in Psalm 23 God did not say he will eliminate all enemies no he said he will prepare a table before them you will have enemies but God will prepare a table before them John 15 19 and 20.

if you were of the world the world would love its own yet because you are not of the world but I Choose You Out Of The World therefore the world hates you remember the word that I said to you a servant is not greater than his master if they prosecuted me they will also prosecute you if they kept my word they will keep yours also the more you are like Jesus Christ the more the world will hate you and if the world loves you are not like Jesus Christ the reason you should never tell anyone what you are up to is there are people whose primary goal is to ensure you are not successful not everyone is for you they will put in their best to frustrate your good plans if you give them a handful of information about yourself there are people that will crush your dream before its fulfillment if you tell them your dream some of them will never appear to be harmful until they have executed their evil plans so you need to be careful of what you say and the kind of people you share your dreams with the scripture reveals that the heart of a man is deceitful and desperately wicked above all things and that no one can discern it the life of Joseph presents a convincing story of how golden silence is he had been telling his dreams to the wrong people the fact that they were his brothers did not make them the right people for Joseph to tell his dreams concerning Joseph Genesis 37 9-11 says and he dreamed yet another dream and told it his Brethren and said behold I have dreamed a dream more and behold the Sun and the Moon and the Eleven stars made obeisance to me and he told it to his father and to his Brethren and his father rebuked him and said unto him what is this dream that thou hath's dreamed shall I in thy mother and thy Brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee on the Earth and his Brethren envied him but his father observed the saying enduring word bible commentary States the following regarding Joseph telling his dream if Joseph was unwise to tell the first dream knowing how irritating it was to his brothers then it was worse to share the second dream the second dream was likely to cause even more resentment because it set him not only above his brothers but also sent him above his father and mother Joseph had this sort of Pride common in the favored and blessed he was so focused on how great his dreams were for him he didn't begin to consider how the dreams would sound in the ears of others though Joseph was wrong to tell these dreams they certainly did come true one may receive a wonderful message from God that he does not intend them to publish to others Joseph showed a lack of wisdom here perhaps rooted in Pride not everything God shows you or gives to you in the spirit is for you to announce to the world work on your dream in silence you don't need to announce it on rooftop Joseph's dreams would have never come true if God hadn't intervened after his brothers betrayed him if Joseph was wiser he could have avoided a lot of things in your life be wise don't go around just talking and yapping away to everyone you need to save yourself from avoidable hostilities and confrontations the truth remains that attacks are inevitable for everyone however it will be devastating if an individual stirs up hostility against himself or herself because of talking too much don't talk too much have you ever considered that Mary the Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ never shared her experience with anyone the Bible didn't tell us whether she told Joseph or not it was the Lord that convinced Joseph to take her as his wife after she was found to have conceived a child in Matthew 1 18 through to 20. Mary kept those things to herself otherwise the story would have ended differently Luke 2 19 says but Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart like Mary learn to keep certain things to yourself some women will go about sharing all their family's plans with Outsiders this is very bad they can become envious of you and find a way to break your marriage or shatter those plans wisdom wisdom even in marriages don't be so quick to share secrets about your marriage to other people I'm not saying don't go to Christian Counseling no what I'm saying is don't just talk about your private matters to everyone finally in all your conversations let the holy spirit always guide you Colossians 4 6 says let your speech be always with Grace seasoned with salt that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man don't listen to anyone who tells you words don't matter they do they may not matter to you but to God your words matter if you have been saying words carelessly or you are the type that talks too much you need to start to control yourself this is the time to speak words that are edifying alone speak the words that will encourage people and not put people in bondage this is the time to start speaking kind words and let goodness follow you irresponsible talking is not allowed in Christianity you will give an account of all you have said don't curse yourself because you want to make people laugh don't send yourself into bondage with your mouth because you want to entertain people or you want to jump on a trend control the words you say words tell you whether someone has a good or a bad heart Jesus tells us how we can judge a person's character in Luke 6 45.
