to rock this world okay let's get into the word happy sunday one global family we are so excited first of all you know what just let us know in the chat where you're tuning in from i'm so excited for the word of god today i believe it's a word that is going to bring great perspective into your life that is going to bring transformation into your life and so really want to dive into what the what the lord has put on my heart and you know this really came from experience right there was something that

i was experiencing and the lord really just guided me through it and when i began to press in about what is the word that you have that the lord has for his people he was speaking to me about this very thing and so as you're getting ready to take notes as a sunday fun day as you're getting ready to take notes maybe you're not watching this on sunday but whatever day it is just put a fun day next to it but the title of my message today is resist the resistance resist the resistance you see

i'll take you into what happened in my life so normally i wake up at 3 20 in the morning now i'm a morning person that's another thing it's a way you know people say i'm a morning person i'm not morning person but just to you know make it plain if that's the way you receive it i'm a morning person i am the person that if you call me at 4 00 a.m 4 30 a.m i will have a full-on conversation with you laughing and everything fully present right because i just in the morning i just

i'm full of life right and so personally um my time that i spend with the lord starts at 3 20 and i look at it as tithing my time right you have 24 hours in the day 3 20 to 6 a.m it's like 2 hours and 40 minutes i connected i love i'm someone who just loves numbers and scriptures and so when i wake up at that time i connected to ephesians 3 20 and i'm like lord you're able to do exceedingly abundantly in this moment but that's me right and you know in my prayer

time that is a time of communion with god um that is a time where the lord begins to give me strategy for my day strategy for the season of life that i'm in when i when i have that time with the lord i i tend to move through life with precision with clarity with understanding um i i can you become your sensitivity and the holy spirit heightens where you recognize that you know what even though i already have a schedule for my day you recognize the areas where you might need to pivot because there is

something that the lord has planned that you had no knowledge of and so for me you know this time with god is everything and i went through this season where waking up was a struggle like it's just not it's not like it's not me you know wake getting up like and the crazy thing i have like three alarms for the main alarm so just in case it's like there's like three other alarms to make sure i get up and this time around the alarms will go off and it's not that i'm tired when i opened

my eyes but you start having this narrative like just just go back to bed you know what there might be something you just need to rest just need to just listen to the lord just put worship music and just you know fall back into bed and i knew that okay something is not right because why is it such a struggle to wake up at this time something that came so easy for me something that there were times that it was it felt like a sacrifice but then in consistency something becomes developed and it becomes your

norm but all of a sudden it was a fight so one particular day i woke up around it was like three something but the moment i woke up i remember i recalled a dream i had during the night so in my alarm i titled my alarms my alarms have either like a scripture or or a title or something so the alarm that wakes me up for prayer it says meeting with jesus so when i look at it i'm like okay this is what i'm waking up for i'm waking up for a meeting with jesus but

in my dream my alarm goes off and this is the dream my alarm goes off and rather than it saying meeting with jesus it said resistance and i was like what what is that i said resistance and it's like you know do you snooze on resistance or do you answer the call so the moment i saw resistance i woke up and to waking up i'm like god what is that because that dream troubled me i'm like why does this title read resistance and then now in prayer the lord began to speak to me about what

has been going on where i was having a difficulty waking up and he said stephanie what you're experiencing is not just because you're tired or you need that extra 10 minutes of sleep that turns into an extra two hours of sleep that there is a resistance against you waking up because you're in a new season of your life and the words that you need to hear from me in this new season it is what is going to establish you and cause you to be effective in the new season that is upon you you see i

am someone who is fascinated by times and seasons because what i have learned from god is that your life our lives are locked up in times and seasons in the book of ecclesiastes it tells us that for every thing there is a time a season under the sun for every activity everything god wants to do connected to your life every word every promise of god for your life is connected to a time and a season you cannot manipulate your way to cause a season to come sooner than it is ordained that is why even when

you see the scripture you see a pardon with god certain a certain way that god moves that something it is locked up in a time until the time comes then it's it's revealed then it's released when you think about the promised child isaac it was always the purpose of god that abraham would have isaac but isaac was locked up in a season isaac was locked up in a certain time period connected to abraham's life because of what isaac would represent not only to his generation but to generations after him and so this is very important

to keep in mind because i am in i'm in a space that i've never been not only do we enter when you're awake into a new day you're awake into a day you've never been in before there's a new season that i have recognized and the lord was showing me he said this attack this is actually an attack don't play with it don't look at it lightly don't just give in to the resistance when something is resisting you you have to resist the resistance because there are words that i will download their strategy that would

unfold not all in one setting it would unfold day by day this is a very sensitive period of your life that you must be led by the holy spirit don't give in to the resistance so let's talk about resistance right what does it mean in a very simple term it is to oppose right to be against and a term that i love so much that resistance is the attempt to prevent something by action or argument i love that because how many times has have we been prevented from doing the very thing that god has called

us to because of this narrative that was going on in our heads oh you're not worthy it's not for you that could never happen don't embarrass yourself how are you going to sustain your family how is this going to play out but you have a word you know that god has already given you released a word onto your life but there is this narrative that taunts you and the only reason the voice is amplified is because you have not resisted the resistance so you give into it and you're like you know what maybe i'm not

worthy maybe i'm not the person for the job maybe i cannot be the one who does this very thing and you do not do you don't resist the opposition coming against you because catch it the enemy is trying to prevent you from being established in a new season that has come upon you you see what i'm learning about resistance is that it is actually likened to birth pains to labor pains because there is a scripture in mark 4 17 it says when opposition comes because of the word that there is a connection to opposition and

the word that when there is a word of god over your life when there is a purpose of god to be manifested through your life that opposition comes and then as i began to look at that it dawned on me that opposition is truly labor pains to a new season that opposition is that you you cannot the same way a woman cannot give birth to a child even when you when you're thinking about the natural means it is impossible without labor pains in that same manner it is impossible for you to step into the purpose

of a new season without opposition because it comes because of the word and so how do we engage it how do we respond to it that is what we're going to dive into today because even when we look at our lord jesus he is the model of everything he is the model to how we should live life how we should understand how we should navigate through life and he is also our lord jesus could not step into a new season without going through opposition matter of fact the bible even tells us that he was led

by the holy spirit into opposition now can you imagine this jesus just i mean he had one season of his life where he was hidden he was just going through life as the son of joseph and mary he was just chilling you know it was like that's just jesus you know i'm sure maybe people gave him a nickname hey jay what's up man what's good jay you know i i don't know what they call them right maybe he had he was cool with you know he was just he was everyone's god he was just jesus

he was hidden just the regular kid you know maybe he cracked some few jokes maybe he told a lot of stories and they didn't know that he was actually preparing to tell a lot of parables right but jesus was undercover he was hidden he was in a season of being hidden he was in a season of preparation but when jesus was about to tap into a new season he gets baptized all of a sudden god blows his cover you know the people around him during the baptism they hear the voice of the father from heaven

and it says this is my son in who i am well please his cover is revealed wait he is not just who we thought he is he is someone else this is the son of god but in order for him to step into a new season the bible tells us that the holy spirit actually led him into the wilderness and when he led him into the wilderness it was to be tempted by satan but satan's antics of temptation was really opposition now when i say opposition i'm talking about resistance the two words are interchangeable it

was satan's antics to opposing because again opposition is to prevent you from doing from moving in the very thing that god has called you to if jesus gave into any of those temptations he would not have come out of the wilderness in the power of the holy spirit if he gave into any of those temptations his purpose in the new season would have been prevented you see opposition is actually birth pains and when a new season is upon you god is committed to fulfilling what he has purpose to do through you we have to see

opposition properly because here is the thing that sometimes happens and we're going to go into this because as i was praying for you i saw many feeling like in a situation where there is opposition and opposition can come in the form of people opposition can come in the form of disappointment it can come in the form of negative destructive narratives in your own head but that's not you just like i said al pastor has this amazing saying when did you become anti-you that's not you opposition can come in many ways but you have to understand

something about opposition because when we think it is just the the works of satan that it is just satan trying to to shake us up that this is satan being satan this is actually what satan has permission to do by god first of all jesus was not being tempted by satan outside of god's sight the holy spirit led him to be tempted one of the things you must understand this is aside by one of the things you must understand by satan he's not as powerful as many people think he is satan only has power according

to permission either permission given to him by god or permission given to him by you satan does not operate outside of his boundaries and what does it look like permission given to him by you could look like many things but one of it is when we just give in to the resistance when how whatever satan's antics or whatever his agenda is to stop you you believe the lie and you don't do anything because resistance is an action and if you are passive in those moments you have given him permission to steal to kill to destroy

to steal from you what a season actually has for you to take away from for you what god purposed for you in a new season but satan is not as powerful as you think and here is why in the book of jude jude is a book that literally has one chapter just one very very powerful just one chapter but in the book of jude and i want you to write this scripture down and and read it in your own time jude 1 and this is verse 6. it tells us something so fascinating it talks about

angels who had gone outside of what they were given authority to do basically angels who went outside their boundaries and as a result of this god chained them in hell the bible said that they're actually chained in eternal darkness and you know awaiting the day of judgment but i want i'm saying this so you understand that satan is not as powerful as you think because if he is so powerful that means he lives without boundaries but satan is also within boundaries the first time that angels stepped outside of boundaries god chained them up and these

angels were were connected to you see when you go back to the book of genesis there was a time in the time of noah noah for those that may not know noah was the one called by god to build an ark in a time there would be a flood and to to you know save himself and his family but in the time of noah the bible tells us and this is in in genesis that there were sons of god which was referring to angels that had a sexual relationship with the daughters of men this was

outside of their boundaries and there were children created as a result and these children it was an abomination to the order of god and that's why we that's why the flood came because god needed to wipe out all of that but i'm sharing this with you because the moment the first time because satan is also an angel the first time that angels operated outside the boundaries that god gave them he chained them up but you know what satan is he's not chained that tells you everything that he is still operating within boundaries so when he

opposes you it is actually within his permission that god has given him permission there are things that may happen you're wondering why did this happen in my life you know because god does not authorize evil there's some things that you know you may have opened the door but we're not here to go into that but there are some things that you might need to shut the door because when you look at yourself in the mirror you're not just looking at you you're looking at your family lineage you're looking at your mother you're looking at your

father you're looking at your grandparents because you also naturally came from somewhere and so that is why you know when people are familiar with the sayings breaking generational curses that there there's a door that has been open in my generation and it ends with me i am shutting whatever permission that my grandparents may have given but that's a whole another conversation why i'm saying this to you is to recognize that when you're being opposed it is not just for you to feel like a victim in life it is not just for you to feel like

god does not see you there is a purpose that god has for opposition and it is a sign of labor pains but i want us to go into that because the question is it's not that god is just trying to you know play with us play with our emotions why is it that god allows the enemy to oppose us why is it that in order for jesus to start his ministry he had to go through the burnt pains of opposition why is it now you know in the fitness there is this term called resistance training

right and it's you know anyone who does resistance training you don't like it that much first of all but resistance training is is a is something that is so fascinating because it is a style of training that strengthens your muscles and causes you to have more endurance and here is what is interesting about it because all of this happens when your muscles are working against weight or some type of force sometimes it could even be that you're working against your own body weight but that is how your muscles become stronger and you have more endurance

and there's a lot of health benefits to this but in the kingdom there is also resistance training now in the kingdom your muscle is your faith because when there is resistance it is to either or or do one of one of two things or does both it it either gives you it strengthens your faith or it gives you endurance or it does both now we're gonna we're gonna talk about this right because when we think about when something is resisting you it is actually revealing the strength of your faith when something is resisting you let's

look at the life of jesus in that moment jesus has just heard a word that hey you are the you know you are my son in you i am well pleased he goes into the wilderness and what is being attacked is his very identity that he just received he just heard oh wow jesus i know you've been undercover but remember who you are it's like mufasa remember you know simba you know but but jesus has this moment then he goes into the wilderness and his identity is being under attack but here's the thing about faith

being strengthened when you're when your faith is tested for how strong is your faith because faith is never about the size it's about the strength that's why jesus would say things like if your faith is the size of a mustard seed you can say to this mountain move from here to there and it would move for you now sometimes we try to make that more complicated than it is and we say well when you plant the mustard seed it grows to be one of the strongest and tallest trees jesus said what he said you know

if jesus was here he would say i said what i said right if jesus meant the tree he would have told you you know if you have the faith the size of a mustard tree but he said a mustard seed because it's literally a friend of mine i think i may have shared this before a friend of mine gave me mustard seeds and it is extremely tiny but what was jesus trying to teach us it's not about the size of your faith it's about the strength of your faith and the strength of your faith comes

with what you understand about what you received because here is it the bible tells us that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of god so when you talk about faith you're talking about a word that there is a word of god that has come to you and and you can understand why jesus said it's not about the size because how many times have we received we some of us have enough words to i mean you know to be the president for three times in a row i'm just putting this random random fact

out there some of us have enough words to live a life of great impact to transform the world if we need to we've received so much from god about our identity about who he is about what we have in him but if you don't have understanding it doesn't matter how many things you've written in your journal it doesn't matter how many promises of god you you read every morning when before you you go out of your day if you don't understand you can never access the power of the word because if you're just reading the

lord is my shepherd i shall not want you just read it because it sounds good wow the lord is my shepherd i shall not what if you don't tap into the understanding that wait the lord is my shepherd i am actually sheep i am not the one that is protecting my life i am not the one guiding my life i am not the one that has that is in charge of provision for the seasons with the visions that god gives me the lord is my shepherd i shall not want that i don't have the understanding

of lack because i am connected to the one who is abundant in all things if you don't have understanding of that word then the moment of season that looks like lack comes upon you you start to panic you start to complain you start to doubt you start to say god where are you i thought you would be with me but you were the same person who every morning would quote the lord is my shepherd i shall not want if you say jesus loves me you sing the song yes jesus loves me yes jesus loves me

but then the moment a person rejects you you look at it like god rejected you then you did not tap the understanding of what it means to be loved by jesus because when you know that you are loved and validated by christ then you will recognize that man's rejection holds no weight against god's acceptance it is not about the size of your faith it is about the strength of your faith now while this is so important is because when you're going into a new season of your life god is revealing to you where you are

you see sometimes we are so eager for something new sometimes we are so eager for the promise we are so eager to come into a place of manifestation not even recognizing whether we are ready or we are not not realizing like wait am i actually equipped for what is ahead because when opposition comes it could reveal your strength to you and when you recognize like wait oh this is oh god i know who i am i know what you said about me this opposition is not going to stop me when you start to tap into

that all of a sudden you you gain endurance that even if in the future something else comes my way i have a firm foundation of what god has said about me you see for me in that moment where i wasn't waking up where it's like i woke up went back to bed i was lacking understanding that i have tapped into a new season stephanie you can't just go by based on the words that god has given you in the past there is a new season that has come upon you and it is so critical for

you to get day by day instruction on how you ought to move even in general it is very critical but the lord was showing me stephanie the new season that i have brought upon you you need to be equipped for it you need to tap into what i'm going to say to you day by day you see opposition is actually a beautiful thing because when opposition comes and you you don't know how to resist it it is not for you to just give in it is for you to get back into the place of prayer

and start asking the right questions god who am i now god what is the season of my life that i'm in right now and what does this season require of me it brings you to the place of recognizing that you know what something happened in my job the other day and it made me want to quit if something happened at your job that made you want to quit then do you realize why you're there who put you there you can't just give in to the opposition and say oh my gosh i am so stressed people

are so stressful because the bible also tells us that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and power and there is a reason that that had to be clarified because what principalities and powers would normally look like is flesh and blood but what is influencing them is something else so if something happened at your job something happened in the industry you're in something happened to you were embarrassed or you were ashamed and you think that is enough reason for you to quit then you haven't tapped into what god is doing in the

season you're in because who put you there it's for you to take some time to retreat that god i sense that this at the only reason that i want to come out of position is because there was opposition then you have to start asking the right questions god who am i now what have you called me to do now what is the season that i am in and what do you require of me in this season opposition is actually something that is supposed to work for you and not against you i want you to take

some time to think maybe you're in a place maybe you're facing a situation in your life right now that you're just like god i i feel like i'm about to throw in the towel it's not working could it be that you just need to change your strategy you have to recognize that opposition is not something that happens randomly you are not just randomly opposed the enemy doesn't just randomly come against you that it's actually alerting you that there is a new season upon you and god wants you to be prepared and equipped so that he

would establish you for the purpose he called you to that he would that you will be fortified but satan doesn't want you to know that because if he can get you to give in then he can steal from you and so the question is how do we get to this place of resisting the resistance i want us to read the scripture in james 4 7 and it says this it says therefore submit to god resist the devil and he will flee from you submit to god resist the devil and he will flee from you when

we think about submission you know submission sometimes sounds like this very you know this concept that is higher than that it just seems so lofty oh so may god i submit to you but submission is actually very simple submission is coming into agreement coming into agreement first of all that jesus is lord that he is the lord over your life that god i did not bring myself here spiritually or naturally because life is a miracle submitting to the understanding that there is one who has authority over how you move and how you do life that

there is a lord who guides and guards your life when you realize that god i am not going to live my life based on my own limited wisdom but i am dependent on you whatever you show me whatever you instruct me lord i will do submission is belief it is believing what god says about you it is believing what god says you will do and what you would accomplish in his name when you lack submission you start fighting without you have identity crisis you you're wrestling with who you thought you are who you thought you

were with what god is saying about you submission says god you know what i am actually i am bringing myself to the identity that you have revealed about me it's not about your feelings it's not about what people said it's about the truth and the truth is a person the truth is jesus when he speaks to you when he puts desires in your heart when he reveals to your identity your belief is how you submit that is why what satan attacked in jesus was not his mission or his his assignment it was his identity because

out of your identity is how you flow in the purpose of god if you don't believe that you're the one to do what god showed you then everything else doesn't matter satan doesn't need to attack what you're called to do he just needs to attack what you believe you're called to do and in so doing he attacks who you respond to who you answer to do you is there someone who governs your life because when you when you come out of the lordship of christ that is when culture begins to define you that is when

people begin to define you and that gives the enemy the easiest access in you know i was reading something that blew my mind i was you know in the book of genesis and randomly never saw this before i was just reading the moments that led up to the enemy deceiving eve right because when we talk about submit to god right resist the resist the devil and he will flee from you i said okay let's look at the first time that satan was not resisted what happened there because the first story in the scripture that satan

was not resisted was with adam and eve and the whole thing with the with the fruit the forbidden fruit but there's something so fascinating because when you're reading the scriptures as it relates to god and humanity the bible all through it refers to him as the lord god the lord god said this and the lord god did this because that word lord reveals his authority over a creation it reveals his authority over humankind it reveals his authority over everything it's it's this beautiful relationship the lord god the lord god the lord god the lord god

the lord god the lord god but when satan threw the serpent came to eve he did not say did the lord god say all he said was did god say and it looks like something so subtle but it was actually effective because depending on how eve would respond first he just started off with did god say all along he was referred to as the lord god but in that moment did god really say and eve responds well god because now he's just a being he's not the one i submit to so i can create my

own narrative actually you know what matter of fact it's not about what he said no more i want knowledge i want wisdom i am gonna do the thing he said we should not do because the reason i obey him is because i am submitted to him but you see after that ordeal i want you to read this it is very fascinating it will blow your mind after that ordeal you know after the fall of man and sin enter the world and all of this when eve has her first child she praises who the lord because

now she has restored her gaze back on you know what we messed up he said the lord has given me a son not just god the lord has given me a son when you when you see god as lord it is not just someone that is just ruling you know the world from far up it's it is someone who you're accountable to you recognize the authority he has over you are you submitted because whatever area in our lives we don't know how to resist the enemy is an area that is being revealed that requires submission

what do you believe about yourself how are you living we sometimes think that humility it is to is to dumb down your identity that is not humility at all if god says you're great and you want to act like you're mediocre you are not doing god a favor that is not humility humility is to come in agreement with what god says about you and to live from that posture how are you living your life you see this word convicted me in many ways because it also put a mirror in front of me because it's one

thing to say something but do i have understanding of what god has also said about me do i have an understanding of what he has revealed about me you see family don't be so quick to make a decision simply because there is opposition don't be so quick to decide in a pat in a position of passivity that you're just passively allowing whatever happens you know what this person is annoying me you know what um there's a voice in my head telling me i'm not the one you know what my past is just too messed up

what does god say about you and what i'm learning about the lord when you come before him with a humble heart when you say god you know what i want to be what you see what you know what you knew not even what you know now what you've always known about me because the lord said to jeremiah before i formed you i knew you god i want to know what you've known about me because i want to live according to that i don't want to keep acting like i am not who i am and when

god gives you a word sometimes because you're not familiar with being you you might need to create strategy around it you might need to you might need to you know what maybe take some acting classes so you learn how to act like you that that word becomes your blueprint okay what would this person do what would stephanie actually do you know we have this saying what would jesus do but sometimes you also have to ask yourself what would i do the real me not this um counterfeit version that i'm over here portraying what would the

me that jesus called would do how would that version of me respond what would that version of me create what would that version of me bring forth to this world what would stephanie what would what would jeremiah what what would you do insert your name there if i right now put it in the chat put some things in the chat according to what god has said about you that you're supposed to do that the real you would do and this counterfeit version of you is trying to lie its way for you to not believe that

you are who you are you see another thing you must understand about satan is that he is a liar he is not just someone that tells lies his nature is to lie in the book of john there was a moment where jesus was speaking about him and he says when he lies he speaks of himself by nature he is a liar and that is why it makes so much sense why the bible says that he comes he appears as an angel of light everything he does is a lie and that is why he's able to

deceive so many even even when you look at the times we're in right now in society with the advancement of new age all of it why why is it so attractive because it is a lie it is this idea that all of this can happen you don't need to submit you you don't need why would you need to give into an authority you can do everything by yourself why are people lured into this lie because it sounds good it looks good it seems like it would empower you satan is a liar it is his nature

it is his form it is his makeup he does not know there is no truth jesus actually said about him there is no truth found in him and why is that important for you to recognize because everything that he tries to intimidate you about it's a lie there is no truth in him that voice that is telling you you will never make it if you make the move to that city you are going to crush your family that what what do you think you're about to do it is not going to happen for you that

people are going to laugh at you that voice is the voice of a liar that is what he does best it is to lie there is no truth to be found in it and jesus will never speak to you like that so whenever that narrative comes up whenever you're experiencing opposition by the way of an argument know that it is a lie go back into your prayer closet and say god who am i who am i really god give me strategy to be me reveal to me how i can become me what are the actions

i should take you see when you're becoming you some things might not feel natural some things might not it might not feel natural to you in the beginning but when you press in all of a sudden it's like you start realizing that oh my gosh this is actually this fits you know this this action fits who i am but in the beginning it might not feel natural to you but the more you press into god the more you come before the lord and say god i am not what i feel about myself i am not

what people said about me i want to be everything you've called me to be what you tap into in that moment is what we call grace a divine enablement for you to become you to really tap into your true nature to become everything god says about you to think like you to desire like you to live like you you see we have to come into a place where we do not desire anything less than truth you know when you think about the nature of you it reflects the nature of christ maybe you found yourself in

a lot of compromising situations and maybe you like a lot of compromising situations it's nothing to be you know feel shame about but let it something should convict you because when you know that this is not me you know chasing after sex or relying on drugs to feel some kind of connection it is not me god who am i and god give me the grace to become me because this is not my nature this is not this is not my form you will not find you know a dog eating grass you know why because it's

not his nature and as much time as he puts his nose in there but it's not to eat the grass is to find a spot to do his business because it is not his nature to do that so who are you and what does this season of your life represent and what does it require from you these are questions that you should ask in the presence of god and you know what happens when we submit the bible says now through this submission we are able to resist the devil because when you submit and tap into

this understanding and you believe god at his word then when satan comes against you say no that's not me and i am not going to give in to your agenda i am going to live according to god's will for my life and what i love so much about that passage is how it ends it says resist the devil and he will flee from you that word flee is is very fascinating it's not just resist the devil and he will take a stroll away from you or he will leave you is that he would flee from
