[Music] So, it's definitely been a while since I've done a video like this, but we are back with some outfit ideas for spring. Starting off with outfit one, and you're going to be seeing kind of a lot of looks with some white trousers like these. This denim pair right here is from our legacy, teamed up with some brown Le Mer boots.
Sticking within the tonal palette, I do have this canvas jacket kind of giving me a little bit safari vibes, but I do think it works. And then underneath, we do have a nice white fitted t-shirt. And then obviously, we do have the DS leather bag, which is kind of like my everyday essential bag now.
Now, in all of these fits, you're pretty much going to see me with a hat on because I did actually do a buzz cut again about a month ago, and right now we are in that awkward kind of just like growing out phase. But I also do think for spring and summer and in men's wear, adding a hat is just a great way to just add another kind of like layer to your outfit because we are a little bit limited. This outfit is my version of smart casual but done in a way that I'm just not going to overheat on those warmer spring days.
So on foot I have a pair of loafers that I really want to put you all onto. These ones here are from Banana Republic. They're pretty much an amazing alternative to kind of like the Row loafers or the St.
Lauron loafers and they come in at around about I think $150. And what I really like about them is they've kind of already got this kind of like worn in leather look. Not in a way that looks distressed or anything.
Just in a way that makes you just feel like, cool, I can just start wearing these every single day and it looks like I've been wearing them every single day for a while. All I'm hoping for now, and maybe someone from the team is listening, if they made them in like a really nice dark brown as well, that would just be beautiful. Next, we have a pair of trousers that I kind of need your help with.
These have been a DS sample pair for a while now. The material I absolutely love. so lightweight and flowy.
They're just so comfortable to wear. They've got a slight taper in them and I'm kind of just not used to wearing tapered for a while. So, I think it's messing with my judgment a bit.
I do want them to be still like a relaxed leg again with that taper and still a bit of a stack as well. But yeah, let me know what you kind of do think of them. On top, we do have the cream elit.
Again, great for spring and summer because of just how breathable and lightweight it is. Literally, I'll never wear anything underneath it. I just love how it flows like this.
And then obviously we do have the DS bag as well. So this outfit is a bit more western kind of like cowboy inspired. It's definitely an aesthetic that I have been really enjoying on myself that I've kind of been leaning into a bit more recently.
On foot I do have the La Mer suede boots in this really nice kind of like tan color. And we do have my light wash blue denim jeans. These ones do have a bit of distressing going on.
I know it's not for everyone. Then we come up to this lovely blue denim shirt. This is from DoubleRL.
Again, white fitted t-shirt on underneath and then the DS cap on top. What I like about an outfit like this, it's casual yet kind of like intentional and everything just works together well. Brown has very quickly become just one of my favorite colors to wear period.
Doesn't matter whether it's spring, summer, winter, autumn. I just love pairing brown especially with cream on foot. We do have the La Mer loafers.
Then we have the timeless CS kind of like creamy white jeans. I think these were their rider jeans or something very similar to their rider jeans that they released like I want to say like 2 years ago now. But if you're trying to find them, I think that's like the keyword to search for when you're searching like Depot or something like that.
We then do have the DS fitted ribbed vest. And then this is a this is a sample of kind of like a new shirt that we are trying. So the shape and everything isn't like perfect so far, but we are trying to like create one that's a bit more of a I want to say a bit more of like a traditional fitting shirt.
But this is this is how it looks currently. Material is great, but still just working on the fit. And then obviously the DS bag again, which you're going to see in pretty much all of these bits.
Just overall a really just nice simple tonal look. So just because it's spring does not mean it has completely warmed up yet. The mornings are still typically quite cold and also so are the evenings.
Obviously this is dependent on where you do live. On foot we have a pair of boots I really do want to highlight. These if you remember in a recent pickups I did these beautiful brown boots that I got from eBay for $20.
And I absolutely love them. And again, it's just a great example to show you that you don't always have to buy brand new and that you can find so many great deals on eBay. If you're looking for something similar to these, type in Frey vintage boots.
That's kind of how this search point kind of started. These ones are not them, but they recommend you like similar pieces. Next, obviously, we have the blue our legacy jeans.
The white t-shirt underneath. Again, a white t-shirt in spring is pretty much an essential for me. But then the jacket that I love so much.
This one is from DoubleRL and I find this is the perfect spring jacket. It's not too heavy, it's not too light, it's just perfect and the fit is absolutely beautiful. And again, if it does start to get too hot, I can easily just take it off and then still have a really nice fit on underneath.
This one's definitely a bit more of like a kind of like a dressed up smart casual outfit. On foot, the Banana Republic loafers again. Then we do have the DS Essential Soft Handle charcoal trousers pleated.
It's a big mouthful. Absolutely love kind of like gray/ charcoal trousers. And then we do have the new Paloso knit in black.
Super lightweight, super cozy as well. Like I'm not wearing anything underneath it. It's 100% marino wool, so it's also very breathable despite what people actually think about wool sometimes.
All up a very nice kind of like simple monochromatic look. So this outfit is quite just classic and timeless in my opinion. On foot, we do have the brown La Mer loafers and then obviously the cost jeans.
Again, you'll start to see how like these jeans or just cream jeans in general are just kind of like such a hack in spring and summer. Then we come up to this navy knit. This one is from the robe, but literally you can get very similar ones from Uniqlo.
And then J Crew also does a very good kind of like alternative to this as well. Also in plenty of other colors. What's great about an outfit like this is that one, if you're not a fan of loafers and you like sneakers, put them on and it'll still look great with an outfit like this.
And then two, if you're not a fan of navy, literally you could put on almost any other color on top here, which will pair just so nicely with the cream jeans as well. So, another color I don't think you should sleep on in spring is indigo/ navy. And more importantly, taking the advantage of to pair them together.
I know this might look black in camera, but it is navy. We have the eBay $20 boots. Then these beautiful indigo jeans from Dice Ben.
And then I've got this nice cashmere t-shirt on. Can't remember the brand again. I'll put it on screen.
I find outfits again kind of like these are a bit of a cheat code in springtime. you can look a lot more put together purely just because you're kind of sticking to that like monochromatic look and the outfit looks a bit more uniformed. Another essential trouser I think it's important to have in your rotation in springtime is definitely kind of like a beige pair like these.
These exact ones are from our legacy from like two seasons ago. But what's great about trousers like these you can kind of find them at almost like any thrift store or any vintage store. Like beige pleated trousers are kind of everywhere.
I've teamed them up with the Banana Republic Lopez. And this time I've tucked in a white fitted t-shirt and then we do have the DS leather bag as well. It's a simple smart casual outfit for the warmer days.
So this is definitely a favorite of mine for kind of like a more just casual spring outfit. On foot again, Banana Republic loafers. You could also do sneakers, boots.
I just personally love loafers. Then we come on to one of my favorite pair of jeans I have. These are from our legacy.
These are the digital distressing ones. I get a ton of use out of these and I don't think they'll ever leave my collection. And then on top we have this DS sample flannel.
If you've been keeping up with me on Instagram, you would have already seen that I've just shown this shirt. Again, sleeves super like not the right length or anything, which is why I'm rolling them up right now. I am just trying to get kind of just use out of it to see how the material holds up.
On the whole, I do like the color scheme. So, if you do have a brown shirt or kind of like a brown flannel shirt, I feel it pairs really nicely just with a white t-shirt and blue jeans. Obviously, you can team the outfit up with a bag.
I always feel a bag just kind of like completes an outfit and just gives it a little bit more depth. For me, this is just like an everyday out and about casual spring outfit. Even though it's spring, it doesn't mean you can't wear all black.
Personally, I love wearing all black all seasons long. It's just about choosing the right kind of like breathable materials. On foot, once again, the La Mer loafers.
For the trousers, obviously, it is the Colorado one. These are perfect for spring and summer because of how just lightweight and flowy they are. Then, we have the DS Elba knit in black.
Again, this is kind of just a cheat code when it does get warm. For a beautiful pop of color, we do have this bag from Lee. This is in this really nice kind of like waxy material.
Then the sunglasses to kind of just match with the bag as well. In my opinion, this is a nice sleek outfit. And again, it is all black, but because of the materials, it's nice and breathable.
This outfit has recently become one of my absolute favorite outfits. On foot, again, the banana republic loafers. Now, boots also would look great with this outfit.
It would really play into that kind of like western Americana look. But I do personally love that kind of whole like juxtaposition with teaming up, you know, some nice loafers with kind of the rest of the outfit. Looks a little, you know, distressed and old.
As you can probably tell, I'm a big fan of blue jeans, but on top of that, jeans that do have some sort of distressing going on. Then we come up to what I would say is one of my favorite thrifted items for kind of two reasons. One, I've been looking for a chore jacket for a while now.
This is kind of a chore jacket. It's also kind of just like a shirt jacket as well. I've stayed away for the longest time from kind of like white jackets or white denim jackets because in my head I thought ah they're just I just never thought I could kind of like get away with wearing it.
But now I absolutely love how like a white kind of like shirt jacket can look with an outfit. Obviously I've teamed it up with the big DS wool tote bag again for those days that I got to carry a whole bunch of stuff. that there's one thing to take away from this outfit is even if you think you have found your style or you think you know what you can and can't wear, I just encourage you to always just keep pushing, keep trying new things cuz you'll never know how your taste might change.
So, this outfit in particular is very similar to one that you saw before pretty much because it's like the exact same colors. I'm telling you, navy, cream, and brown are great choices for spring and summer. On foot, obviously, we have my favorite sandals.
These are the Churches ones that I got from Bista Village for 60% off. Still, I just can't get over that because I wanted these ones so bad in that beautiful brown suede. Then we come on to the super wide flowy linen trousers.
These ones are from the brand Common, I think it is. I'll put up on screen. Then on top, we have the new DS navy polo, which is super breathable.
Hopefully, you can see on camera with all the knitted open holes in it, which also makes it a little bit transparent as well. On those warm, windy days, it really allows just that air flow to get through. The fit that we kind of wanted to go for this is still to be kind of like relaxed around the body, but for the sleeves kind of just hug your arms a little bit just to make it super flattering.
Then obviously we do have the sunnies as well. I always forget this brand. I'll put it up on screen, but any sunnies will work.
I always find wearing sunglasses indoors doesn't look right, but you kind of get the idea. Yeah, something like this. This is kind of me on vacation.
This is what I would step out in. To me, this is just your simple standard spring outfit. Blue jeans and a white t-shirt.
Now, yes, these jeans are still in my collection. They will continue to stay in my collection. I'm never getting rid of these.
I absolutely love them. I know they're controversial. They had the duty distress jeans from Acne Studios from either one or two seasons ago.
Maybe it's just one season. The boots again are the eBay $20 ones. Fitted white t-shirt, the DS cap, nothing else going on.
No bag, nothing. Your jeans don't have to be ripped and dirty. They can just be blue jeans, white t-shirt, and a pair of brown boots.
And I think that's honestly a really good just staple spring outfit. This outfit, and I think I've said this a few times, but it's another one of my favorites. You saw the base of this whole one earlier.
eBay $20 boots, Dan Notton indigo jeans, switched in a white t-shirt, and then we have this beautiful suede jacket, which is from RL. This is honestly something I'd wear on a casual date night with my fianceé. Again, when you can go indoors, easily take this off, and then you just got a white t-shirt with indigo jeans, which is just a timeless combination.
For the final look, we are going full DS. This is actually one of my favorite looks, especially for just like a casual spring day. We do have the Church's sandals painted DS Caros which pretty much sold out straight away.
Then we do have the DS distress knit. This is the one with the red embroidery on the back. This will actually finally be restocking soon along with a black version which I can't wait to show you all.
And then obviously we do have the DS bag. Again, I do want to end this by acknowledging that I do wear a lot of my own clothes. And the reality is is that's in my opinion how it should be.
It shows that I personally love the items that I am making. I know I am a content creator, but I also own a clothing line. So, the two will just kind of like merge together.
And I've said this plenty of times before and I'll say it again. You don't need to buy from my clothing brand. And you also don't need the other brands that I've shown within this video either.
The idea of these videos is just to give you outfit inspiration, not necessarily, hey, buy these exact items. You need these. That's definitely not what these videos are about.
I just want you to see an outfit, get ideas, and see what works within your wardrobe, your budget. But it does feel good to be back doing these type of videos. So, I do hope you enjoyed it.
Let me know your favorite outfit below, and I'll see you all in the next one.
