in just one year I went from struggling to have conversations as an introvert in English to master English at the highest level this is not a typical English learning journey and it's definitely not for everyone but if you can take at least 10% of the information that I'm going to share with you in this video and apply it to your life I believe that 100% your journey will be better this is not fun but you will make more progress in one month than you would in six months in English so I'm going to show you exactly what I did to go from B1 to C2 in English in such a short time when most people take years to do it but again this is not for everyone and just so you know I was in the same position that you are right now I was watching videos studying every day trying to build and structure the best routine that I could sometimes I felt like my English was not improving at all and I was very insecure and not confident I didn't start learning English when I was a kid I have never even being in an English speaking country before the only thing that I knew is that I wanted to learn English so bad because I knew how important was for my life and for my success so if you anything like me this is exactly how you can do it like I did now let's be honest if you're watching this video right now you know how English is important and I know you're just tired of trying to improve your English and make progress every day you can fall in love with the language like I did for example but still the process of learning the language the journey is really hard and it takes a lot of hard work to improve every day so this video is going to be completely different of all the things that you've seen before it can change the way you look at English learning forever so especially if you are procrastinating you don't have discipline and you know you can do better this video is going to show you the reality and how you can improve faster and get rid of this bad habits so you can master your mind to actually make progress as fast as you can now I want you to understand this I believe there's three main desires for a person to learn English money which can be a better job starting a business become an entrepreneur better education so going to college more valuable content online courses and the last one n workking so moving abroad making new friends and better relationships your main desire might be one of this or or possibly all three so let me tell you a personal story but first I have to explain to you the first point that made me improve my English so fast that people thought that I was not normal and it's the first point that is going to make me address exactly what is The Compound Effect and how he applies to English learning so the first method is called FTE which is something that happened to your life that makes you stop and reink your life decisions completely and say okay that is it I cannot live like this anymore I have to change and for me was on a Monday a very cold morning it was around 4: a. m. I had to get ready to go to work and I was lost in life I was completely lost plus I hated that job I hated it but that exactly day it was something else you know one of my bosses embarrassed and humiliated me in front of everybody else just for a tiny little mistake that I made and I felt like I was being controlled by somebody else he yelled at me for a few minutes and he told me get back to work but that day I was like after I got home I was like I have to to change my life I have to get out of the situation I have to quit that job and in that moment when I was thinking about all this I knew I would quit there's no way I would not quit that job so I knew how English was important for me to achieve my goals so I promised myself that I would get as fluent as possible so long story short that was the first step that allowed me to to have such a fast Improvement in my English that simple moment of humiliation kind of like worked as a wakeup call and I said to myself what am I doing what am I doing I can be much more than this and if I don't do anything about it I'm going to live like this forever because that was my destiny if you don't leave your dreams you're going to live somebody else's dream and I knew I didn't want that for me and you might be asking right now what this has to do with English I know you're not used to watch English learning videos like this you know I have a different approach I combine self-improvement with English learning because I essentially believe that English learning is kind of like a self-improvement journey because it was for me so because I didn't have anyone to push me and to motivate me to learn English I had to do it all by myself and the reason why English is so connected with this story it's because English was and still a huge step towards my goal and many of you might have experienced this FTE moment before but if nothing changed for you it was not big enough like I said it's not for everyone and most people will take more months or even years to make such a big Improvement that is what made me get accepted into 10 universities in the US with more than $80,000 in scholarships get to know amazing and like-minded people become more confident and one of the most important ones become an entrepreneur and start my own business doing what I love and make more money so after that main event that completely changed my mindset and especially because I had study English for a few months before that and achieved B1 level my mindset was stronger than ever and I knew English was part of my priorities because it aligned with my mangoes which was to become financially free no matter what I had to do I would do it so at that point my English level was B1 like I said and I knew I had to work for hours during the day because I had not quit that job just yet so I knew it would be impossible to study and improve my English during those hours so I implemented a method that has a weird name and it's called Eat the Frog so this method is very simple if someone offered you a frog a live frog and you had to eat it but you could choose to eat before you eat one of your favorite meals or after which one would you choose now a smart person would choose to eat before because after you would be full and you wouldn't have anything to take the taste of the live frog out of your mouth because even if you atat the Frog before then you can eat your favorite meal after so this is how it works many of you have obligations as I do go to work or go to school for example and maybe many of you work from home or you have to go to work you have to go to a place to work now let's be honest studying English is not very fun especially when you have to force yourself to do it and it was exactly like that for me so I had to find a way to do it so I asked myself how can I do this with a full-time job well this is when the method eat the Frog comes I knew it was really hard to be consistent and I know I would probably never study English after school or after work because I was tired so I didn't have the energy to do that anymore so I had to study English before everything and that is when I started to wake up around 3: a.
m. I know what you're thinking right now you don't have to be exactly like me each one of us have our own routines and we have to do what is best for us so first I would start with the output skills because these are the skills that most people procrastinate and they are the harder ones to master in a way so writing and speaking right so for writing I would spend about an hour you know trying and doing different methods that would spark my creativity and set me up for the day so I would write about my day create different scenarios and stories I would do quick exercises to get more inspired and after that I would move on to speaking I would practice speaking for about an hour as well and I would practice different techniques that allow me to practice my pronunciation skills speed and also critical thinking so it didn't matter if I make any mistakes I just made sure to treat it like a game that was fun and enjoy for me for 1 hour and at some point 1 hour was not even enough for me anymore because time was going by so fast so then after 2 hours working on my writing and speaking I would move on to the input skill and for me in my opinion one of the easiest ones to master and I think that most people think the same way so it's been 30 minutes reading and 30 minutes listening and that is one reason that I would spend only 1 hour with input skills that I would tell you in just a minute so with listening I made sure that I was not only listening passively but I was active listening so I would watch a business video for example that was very valuable and I would take notes at the same time and then for the last one reading I would read for about 30 minutes a self-help book using the method chunking reading contact Clues method so every word that I didn't know I would not memorize it rather I would understand the context around it and most of the time I would understand the meaning of the word without even searching for the meaning so I would do this for about 3 hours and you have to understand this it would give me such an amazing feeling of satisfaction and relief that my day would have been completely different if I hadn't done that I have finished my studies first thing in the morning that was the first thing that I did every day and I still had 2 hours until I leave my house to go to work because just imagine if I had to wake up 7:00 a. m.
instead of waking up 3:00 a. m.
