got one of the guys that was a superstar before anybody ever knew who i was [Laughter] yeah i mean this guy like i would be in the building listen i used to go to this this open mic called eo dub shout out to eo dub shout out to the whole eow gang and i would wait outside to to sign my name up on this line on for for the open mic to perform and you know what i mean that was a big thing we used to get there like 45 minutes early just to get the
temp slot you feel what i'm saying hell yeah like that line was crazy and then all of a sudden nims and like 50 dudes and just walk in the building and it'd be like yo numbers you want to perform next monday and i'm like yo who is this guy he's getting up on stage like here there's a party in your mother's mouth and i'm coming [Laughter] but this is a coney island representative this is one of the guys that was putting it down for a very long time and he's still doing this thing shout out
we got my man names in the bed hello stop your life [ __ ] your life i always wanted to ask you why [ __ ] your life bro like i mean it was just like us being in the hood like and if you don't [ __ ] with us or [ __ ] with what we do like i don't care we don't care about you if it's [ __ ] us then [ __ ] you [ __ ] you [ __ ] your baby moms [ __ ] your kids [ __ ] your grandmother
just [ __ ] your life you know what i'm saying that that wrapped it all up into one yeah but [ __ ] monetization because my [ __ ] just went out the window with that one okay you can't monetize me curse um you can't excessively curse oh [ __ ] that [Laughter] we're on racing corny island right yeah yeah yeah oh what was that like um it was dope as [ __ ] it was dope as [ __ ] you know why because my family grew up in kona like was since they made the
projects my family been out there they came from puerto rico then they was in the lower east side and then they migrated to um coney island when the project was built so they've been out there since the 1950s 1960s so by the time i came up the name of my family had already been established um and as i made my name um it just was it was dope and i took pride in it because everywhere in brooklyn gets shouted out big hole brooklyn's finest coney island wasn't shouted out i took offense to that you know
what i'm saying like yo how you not shouting out us out but we at the bottom you know what i'm saying we're at the bottom of brooklyn um it's far from everywhere every other house far from bedstock from brown so so i took pride in and being from there and uh and representing that being that it's only known for ball players and i wanted to be the first rapper to put that on the map and the rides of course the rise everybody knows the rides the rides is world famous and we all spent the summer
yeah and basically and bashfully bastion i grew up every every easter was coney what are you talking about man that's a fact every easter was crazy you go to church in the morning change your clothes and then y'all take all the stack of ones put a 20 on the outside of it corny allen not that's what we called that coryell i see him be like that's crazy end of the week that uh is it uh low east side right yeah yeah yeah you know what remind me of um you should usually do a movie man
tony soprano they call me coney soprano yeah coney island is is known for so much violence yeah what what do you think in your opinion like causes that [ __ ] um that they only there's only one way in and one way out once you come into coney island you can't go out another side you got to leave the same way you went in it's really an island right um and that now that i'm i'm i'm maturing and i'm getting older is something that i'm i just met with a councilman from coney island they they
dm'd me on the gram and was like yo they would like to meet with you they're like yo how can we help and uh two years ago my two cousins got killed out there and that really made me focus on like yo let's get this [ __ ] the [ __ ] out because from young we learning this [ __ ] we uh just coming here we was just with a nine-year-old talking about he got to carry a knife with him everywhere and i'm like yo and and i was like yo he was nine he
was doing the same [ __ ] it's just like a cycle that never ends yeah and it's it's hard you know because that's there's a lot of bravado in that man yeah and that's just the coney island lifestyle man like i heard you jumped in the water in coney island i was on coney island there was a a battle yeah for bro day yes mind you this is bro day now bro day was created because um somebody got killed and they decided to have a date of peace so understand i'm out in coney island on
the day of peace right and there was a battle on the the baseball field it's like 300 people right yeah and um i'm standing there watching this battle and all of a sudden i hit boom i look to the side and you know it's going down somebody's getting hit rest in peace lightly recent peace lighty and everybody's running scattering i tripped over two people and gave up now i'm a different type of person like i've been through a lot of [ __ ] so he's seen a lot of brooklyn right yeah so i'm now laying
on the field smoking my blood watching what's going on now there's so many people there they don't know who's shooting at who so i'm just seeing as the crowd scatters you're seeing lights boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom everybody's shooting back don't know who they shooting at don't know who's shooting at them and it's just crazy i looked over i saw a guy covering his son and that's when it hit me yo stupid lay down like you could get hit so i laid down car came running through the the park
spun out on the on the field pick somebody up and they drove off and of course recipes lighty that was the outcome of that situation but i never forgot that night because i was like yo this is bro day yeah fast this is like the day of peace and this [ __ ] is going on that's a regular thing man it's a regular thing out there and and now that i've made it to this age i want to try to change that man get let's get back to the hands and i know when we were
coming up and there was guns all dudes would say that i'm like get this old dude out of here you know what i'm saying yeah it's crazy when you get to a certain age of life you realize how much life really means right and how much these kids ain't even live life yet the person i was when i was 19 20 is a totally different person than the person i am today but if you don't get to that level you'll never understand it right you know what i'm saying so i'm trying to find creative ways
because the cop the councilman was like yo let's have a rap rap contest and whoever went i'm like oh [ __ ] yeah exactly i don't think that's the answer exactly yeah my man hollow came walking up i didn't even know that night nah i heard that he didn't know it was water on the other side he thought it was solid ground that's what i heard the ocean sound right you don't know how you did it i don't know how he did it cause to this day i'm baffled and confused because you know where the
park is at you know where the basement is right the water is mad shout out to hollow i don't know i don't know how he did that to this day but i had to talk people into driving him home they had to put stuff on his feet it was what it was man yo speaking i want to say this um speaking of hollow like a lot of people when i did the fight club bring up yo hollow was there arsenal a lot of other people i never seen them up there like and i was up
there every week until i got locked up once it came on mtv i was already up north but a lot of people say yo this person won that fight cause this person won i've never seen none of them up there right right right i remember the first time um we ran into each other at the fight club that was when we battled that was when we back i made you who you are for years i was mad at that for years i'm gonna say this though i'm gonna say this you didn't know because like you
know i knew about you because you've been skipping it again there's a party in your mother's mouth disrespectful yeah exactly and i'm not and i'm going to eo dub to like test out records yeah but every time you showed up it was like you showed that side yeah yeah it was like yo i killed any one of y'all [ __ ] besides that's how i felt so yeah yeah yeah it was like yeah it was like uh eight miles yeah it was that's what was that yeah absolutely that was nibs so when he ran into
me at the fight club we saw each other earlier that night what you're doing i don't remember a lot of things people asked me who did i bat on fight i don't remember a lot but you had like bob wins yes i remember the night that we battled because it was my last night there before i got arrested and went up north but i specifically remember that i seen you before i knew your face right i didn't know from where and i was in the back smoking weed and i remember i offered to give you
some weed and he was like nah and i just thought that was like weird and y'all go to the pool table so um and i didn't know your name so when i see you come to the pool table like oh that's why this [ __ ] didn't take the weed from me i didn't know i was gonna battle you yo but but you said to my man after i saw you i was like it'd be crazy if i battled them tonight and that's what happened yeah yeah right but yo but yo you know you know
i think it's crazy like just for me being like a battle rap fan from the outside looking in i feel like back in the day the quality was better because you didn't know who you was battling yeah so you had to be so prepared like like you had to really shop like you know you had to you had to make sure like your verse or your bars or whatever could kill anybody even though you ain't know who exactly and then now it's like [ __ ] got too much to prepare and the [ __ ]
sounds it sound like black as [ __ ] yeah yeah i would say in all occasions because sometimes when you prepared like [ __ ] is really right in the whole body like it's about and nowadays people are specialists at doing that these battle rappers now they can't even make a song but they could [ __ ] break you down three rounds that's their special but do you feel like i'm be honest man because i like british royal steam right i think he's like crazy i like romney once in a while yeah when he's like
tapped in um i feel like i don't know man i haven't i feel like if you got two months to prepare for somebody every battle should be it should be phenomenal absolutely i don't i don't feel like no battle i agree with you should be mediocre it should be crazy you got two months just to remember uh maybe two songs or three songs worth of material yeah oh no it's more than that it's more than that more than that one round is about two three songs right yeah that's crazy when i battle headaches bro that
[ __ ] was i did all i did like 30 battles in fight club didn't like it was fun i went when i battled had ice it was like 10 years later from when i battled that fight club right that was the most nerve-wracking experience of my life it was a whole different ball game i never had panic attacks or or anxiety never i never had none of that but also while i was doing the fight club i was high as [ __ ] so i didn't have any nerves but when i did head ice
i already had stopped doing everything and bro it was just a whole different ball games yeah and it was just like it was very nerve-wracking and it was just like very different and that's why i haven't done that since then what was your um what was your preparing for that battle like it was mad weird because by that point um i already like i said like i had a real problem with drugs i was a fiend you know what i'm saying during the whole fight club [ __ ] um and by the time i battle
ice i already had like multiple years that i don't i don't smoke weed i don't drink i don't do nothing so preparing for that i didn't i'm not that person no more who i used to be like i said i'm not the same person i was when i was 20. right um so there's a party in your mother's body when they say yo you got a battle um i was like damn the fans are gonna want the old nemesis right so i wrote three rounds trashed it i was like nah this ain't me and i
just got on the disrespectful [ __ ] super disrespectful [ __ ] which wasn't me anymore now when i look at it i kind of cringe because the first line i set the ice was like yo you got three daughters i slapped my dick on all three of their foreheads you know what i'm saying where me as a man now the principles and [ __ ] i stand for i wouldn't even say that to nobody yes what i'm saying but i was like the fans want the disrespect and it made me become somebody that i'm
not no more that's why i haven't watched that battle since then and and and you haven't watched it not once i watched it once but i i skip over certain parts because i'm like yeah how many times did y'all watch it so within that battle um i know there was like uh you guys had a couple personals for each other yeah yeah and how do how do those things even come about i know how it happens for me either um i'll do my homework yeah or somebody will come to me with people who can't make
[ __ ] people came to me people came to you yeah um people i secured the chambers to come to you i don't yo that's it was three years ago i i don't even remember who told me what what i'm saying but i do remember somebody coming to me and being like yo he's gonna bring up this about you and that about you and at the end when i watched the battle he didn't bring up none of that [ __ ] he kept it because at first when i spoke to ice i was always cool
with ice when they told me we want you to battle ice i was like nah i don't want to but he was the champ at the time and fans have been asking me to battle for so long i'm like all right if i come back i want to battle the champ show them that i could keep up or win and then stop just to show people that was the card i battled on real deal on yes yeah so like people came to me with information and then they was like yo you know he's going to
bring up this about you this about him like oh man so now i got to bring personal and by the time we battled it became like real animosity not beef but just like it started off me and ice was like yo we just gonna ball each other out like yo we're gonna keep it like that by the end of it then you get the bishop calling yo you're the main event we ain't sell this many pay-per-views yet go do that go do x y and z yo create an online beef talk and i'm like i
didn't sign up for this right but also i want the event to be successful because i don't want it to be like yo nems came back nobody gave a [ __ ] you know what i'm saying so i i let a lot of people throw batteries in my back at that time because i was just getting back into the scene where as when i look back i'm like i probably shouldn't have did that the whole california ship writing my name on the on the compton sign that was all for publicity for the [ __ ]
for the battle man i wouldn't i wouldn't have [ __ ] did that in regular life you know so crazy i think it's i think it's like it's so it's so much pressure yeah right now i mean even like i think i think it's just pressure overall period period right but period now it's like you know it's so much pressure to kind of like carve out a name or create a buzz that not even just things you've been through but even new artists they absolutely [ __ ] go on suicide missions yeah just to get
some views yeah and then it's like after that after that whatever whatever you gotta deal with the consequences yeah once that phase out yeah it's like you still left with this and it's like you know what what's the point was it worth it and then another thing i want to say not to be long-winded i want to commend you because i think a lot of artists don't talk about struggling with drugs yeah right and and that's gangster for you to say because i know it's artists right now that's going to watch this that's struggling with
drugs that's a fact and you you you you're giving them the confidence to get over it led you to go on cold turkey um i what happened was um i was always my father died when i was four my mother was a single mother she was always out the house i was always home alone just doing whatever you want me to both parents were drug addicts my father died my father died from being a drug addict having hiv okay no i'm saying god you know thank god me and my mother never had it right um
so growing up at some point i'm sure being around my father for those beginning years formative years my mother you just develop attic tendencies you know what i'm saying and i'm not i never was a person to smoke one blood that's why people ask me on them smoke no i don't smoke why you can't just smoke i'm like i could but if i ain't doing nothing for over 10 years why the [ __ ] am i going to jinx it so what led me that is my whole family um was was addicts and at some
point they all cleaned now you know what i'm saying and um just running the streets and that first just started with i was selling ecstasy at coney island and then i would just pop pop pop we had to deal with def jam i remember going to def jam like all out of it [ __ ] that up you know what i'm saying then doing the fight club [ __ ] it was every night win money and go get high the whole night and by the end by the time the end of the fight club when
it was on mtv and i came out of jail i was good for a couple months and then i just had it i was dealing with shady with rigs morales that's shady and they came to a point where they was like yo nemes we love your music we love your music we want to assign you to a development deal but every way we bring you you're out of it you're twisted you're going in and out of jail you're robbing people outside the studio you're just more of a liability than an asset they stopped returning my
calls at this point i said i had my shot [ __ ] it balls to the wall like i'm just gonna i'm a fiend now you know i'm saying [ __ ] it started sleeping in staircases and lifeguard chairs and coney island all this time i'm on mtv everybody thinks my [ __ ] is popping you know what i'm saying and i'm a bum and i had like i don't know i tried a lot of [ __ ] i went to rehabs i went to detox i went to church people praying over me none of
that [ __ ] worked for me one night i remember it um i just had like a a moment of clarity or like uh out of body experience where i was on like a month long run didn't sleep was just getting hot i stole a prescription pad from a doctor was just writing myself scripts selling them so i was on a long run maybe it was like psychosis going on i don't know but i see myself from the outside and i was just like yo i could keep going how i'm going and i'm gonna be
dead very soon or i'm gonna be in jail for the rest of my life or i can stop everything right now and live my dreams and by that point at this point my mother who had come to visit me every jail visit never missed a visit would bring me socks and underwears to [ __ ] rehabs and was like yo i wish you would just die so i could stop worrying about you right so she wouldn't even let me in her daughter said that my own mother um because she had she had had enough i
had stolen from once i steal from my mother everybody else is fair game you know what you know what i'm saying like this is what it is and it was just a destructive lifestyle i had given up on the music [ __ ] and i had that moment of clarity and i went to my mother's house i begged her mom please i'm i'm done let me just sleep on your couch like i'm done from that point it wasn't easy i had to go through being sick withdrawals all of that but i knew what i wanted
and it's just like the [ __ ] like one day turned into two and i always in back my mind was like yo just get through this like having the flu you're gonna be uncomfortable for a week or two and you're gonna get back on your feet and uh that two days turn into four four turned into a month a month turned into a year about ten months i put out my first album president's day and and i was tormenting europe already you know what i'm saying just because i had stopped everything and just focused
on living the dream and what i wanted and and since that date in 2009 i never touched nothing and and it shows thank you and if you exist if you look thank you and if you just look at where i was in 2009 to where i'm at today that should just be proof enough to like once you stop and focus ain't nothing impossible and that's the power and that's the power of god 100 because a lot of times you know a lot of times when you get to those dark moments right we're not strong enough
facts like you know what i mean like my mother was a drug addict she smoked crack you know i mean i've been through everything bro and i say all the time the devil beat me i gave up i was a south pole box three years on a loaf no cabbage and bread i'm saying and i gave up you heard facts and i sat and said i was going crazy police you know police rushing to sale all the time now i mean taking my clothes i mean i'm in a corner butt naked like this like you
don't know when [ __ ] are coming right yeah and i quit i gave up right so when you said that i related to that but then i reflected and i said damn i gave up and the devil beat me but god had a greater purpose absolutely so god had a greater purpose for you because for me hearing what you said it's like you you you're an extremist yeah [ __ ] it i'm i i'm doing i'm getting hot yeah yeah and then that moment when you said you seen yourself outside god took your soul
out your body to make you look at yourself absolutely you know what i mean and then kept you know and then now you hear now that that's why i look at it that's why i never front on who i am this is who i am this is what brought me to this point and like if my story can help somebody else that's what i'm here for some if like i'm not real religious but i know that there's a higher power i know that there's a god out there you know what i'm saying i know that
there's a god there's a higher power and like if they brought me to this point it's to help somebody else and if you front then you could be you mis you know the humble will never be humiliated there's no future in front just keep your [ __ ] up front people respect that more than if you try to front for it you know what i'm gonna say facts and in fact yo people dm me every day your names i'm struggling how you did it and bro believe me i don't want to [ __ ] answer
dms all day you know what i'm saying but sometimes if i see somebody's really struggling about yo it's time to man the [ __ ] up homie somebody dm me last night yo i'm struggling yo i was like yo homie man the [ __ ] up are you gonna die real soon homie you know what i'm saying and there's been people i don't even remember i told that too that's been like yo nams i remember you you helped me out so now i'm up here let me get a thousand dollars worth of merch and just
bring it right back you know what i'm saying right spreading that energy yeah yeah yeah energy because the only type of energy we all family like you know when we go through the shifts we go through like having like drug addicted parents and being [ __ ] up music becomes like that family just like prison right like you know you've been in it i've been a system yeah i mean i did 10 years i mean like so it all my friends got din numbers yep so it's like we got this this this indirect family you
know what i mean and it's like you know music is so powerful like i [ __ ] with math and i'm saying like heavy you know and you know um i think like music is just it it's like a mouthpiece for the have-nots you know what i mean like i like our life and the things we do when the things we say is so impactful to people 100 like you know what i mean like we don't know how you don't know you don't know how your actions are affecting someone absolutely the same way that i
watched you and i was like i went back to my hood and i was like yo this dude named nims you don't know how many people did that how many people followed you how many people watch your videos and might have been going through the same thing and saw you beat it and how many people you flipped well that's why i wanna like people ask me to do podcasts all the time and i tell them no i just don't be because it's always the same questions but we came up together you know what i'm saying
and and um every podcast i do ask me about battle rap and i feel like i'm not a battle rapper no more i don't want to talk about that [ __ ] i'll talk this about that sean every other podcast so go [ __ ] listen to it but i was like this one is where i can actually speak about it and people know what i'm talking about and even the viewers know what i'm talking about and it's history yeah and it's history and also i want whenever i'm on i get this type of platform
i i just speak on on the real situation man because like you don't know who the [ __ ] it helps yeah like [ __ ] it you have no idea well every day i ran into a fan one time and he was like yo you don't know what this means to me and you know usually like yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah all right all right and he was like no no no he was like listen when i feel like i can't do something i imagine i'm you and i get through it that's crazy
and that that made me realize i'm a figure of strength to certain people facts and i i can't so all my weak moments oh no homie you gotta you gotta you you gotta clean that up and stand up because people are watching and you're influencing those people absolutely you know what i mean you want that good karma have you lost a crime yeah heavy life elizabeth is the head that wears the crown yeah [ __ ] are super heroes man now it's your worst moments what would you say was the the lowest of the low
to the highest of the high um i feel like the highest of the high still hasn't come yet um to be honest every morning when i wake up and i look at the ceiling i have gratitude because there's been a lot of nights that all mornings i woke up i was in the jail cell crying my eyes out by myself in the jail so like how the [ __ ] did my life wind me up here um or just grateful that i'm alive cause after after i hit 30 i never thought about death once i
get 30 i think about death on a daily basis right it's crazy because we don't lose a lot of friends yo a lot that whole eo dub family yeah a lot oh there's a there's a funeral every four months that but really when my colleagues raise the peace that god then he passed away i ain't the um the guy from eo dub what's his name majesty whoa yeah yeah recipes really after after my cousin ricky and take over they got killed the same night that [ __ ] they was with me everywhere just like these
[ __ ] with me everywhere like whenever you saw me you saw them and i never understood depression or any mental illness because i i never dealt with it after that happened but i didn't want to wake up in the morning yeah what i'm saying and i started to understand how people have these type of tendencies but then it started really getting like damn my time is who knows when your time is coming sometimes i get shook being on the [ __ ] bridge like yo this [ __ ] can just collapse because i value
my life now right before i didn't give a [ __ ] it was like yo i'm close to death every day anyway you know what i'm saying whatever whatever happens happens but now i value the [ __ ] out of my life so i get like you know sometimes anxiety like yo you know what i'm saying it's crazy but um it is what it is you you know but you can't actually a serious question you're here for a reason i believe and then i want to say real quick we we here for a reason all
of us right so it's like a lot of times we don't we didn't plan to be here like any like any real [ __ ] know we've been through situations fast you don't you don't plan like i didn't plan to make it past 21. yeah yeah now i mean so as i got older i had to realize but in prison i realized like hold up it's how you think about yourself it's how you think right if i could accept i can survive in any environment so why i can't survive in a positive environment so i
got to make sure those thoughts i think repetitiously absolutely i expect good things to happen cause i'm living good now yeah i expect i mean i'm i'm expecting it you know i'm putting that [ __ ] out you know what i mean [ __ ] that but but realistically do you still have days where you're like i don't even want to move not anymore to be real not anymore because i know deep down in my heart that i'm made for great things and i'm going to win no matter what i do because there's evidence there
i've been at the bottom when you're at the bottom you can't go nowhere but up right you know what i'm saying regardless they're not listen when you come from and i've been the way he's been at and i'm not talking about prison number one because i'm talking about when you wake up and the only thing above your head is the sky yeah have nothing nah every every every time i wake up and see my ceiling prep my dog open the fridge it's a real thing i know i'm here for a reason right you just have
to decide on yours obviously this man right here he knows it he figured it out yeah that's what makes him a stronger person than most people most people have great ideas and never act on them right good you know good thoughts and never i know but this man right here nah he went from the bottom and when you went from the bottom like he said the worst thing he ever did i snatched him on my mom's back and you're right anybody after that can get it everybody now that i sit here as an adult i
think back on them shits thinking about how i never thought about making the past 18. by the time i got to 21 i had no clue what a good piece what to do right she was the whole right so i'm proud of what he's done who he is right now i'm saying i don't i don't harp on it like questions like you you ever wake up and not want to move nah we woke up this morning what was the next move yep where was we going right from here and death is a beautiful thing right
so like when we understand legacy beautiful thing and i'm gonna you my perspective on it right cause i said i said like i said the other day right like our actions are the lawyers for our soul and god's court when we die so every deed is like testimony so when we understand that it's a life after this then we our perception of death is different now we got a purpose right so that's why i say death is beautiful right like well i'm not inviting deaf into my life but i understand that it's a transition so
while i'm still alive if i'm still breathing we don't control whether we live or die so we understand we're not in control there's there's a certain amount of peace that comes with that it's like when you go to jail after the first you know you try to sleep read her books yeah after that first week you said you got i'm here right it's the same thing with life right so now when i know i don't know i don't know when it's it's different and i'm gonna tell you why it's different it all depends on how
you've lived your life to that point when i went to a lot of funerals yeah what i'm saying like all my decent brothers i i've lost a lot in my life you know what i'm saying and it wasn't until i went to my man grandma's funeral she was 85 and that wasn't a funeral like i remember nobody was in there crying it was a real celebration that was the first time in my life i ever sat and thought oh i got to make it to the end of the race right right that's if i'm gonna
die right then everybody celebrates right it wasn't icy and dry it wasn't no people crying it was really like a [ __ ] you still only fought out everyone it was a good fight and i was hurt because she raised me up but to sit there i never thought about the end of the race with all my friends and family around [ __ ] came from across the country for this yeah this ain't even the party they just came to this yeah that's the that's where i want to make it one because indeed you know
you know that dean right now muslim writing that's what they talk about like when you die it's the prayers of the people that you leave behind that decide what's up with your soul right so it's like that's what helps me so now i make sure as much as i i can i talk about god i talk about you know the afterlife or i talk about like having purpose and having value right like if you want to change like you mentioned earlier you want to change coney island it starts with institutions we don't got no more
rec centers there's no more boxing gyms there's no more there's no more places for kids to go all these kids just going on the internet internet remember we had manhunt we had [ __ ] yeah you talk out of state and they'd be like what the [ __ ] you know what shout out to you it's 21. for those who don't know but so if i see you every day right if i see you every day i'm not likely to i'm with you every day we playing 64 we we like your mom know my mom's
in it's community so we need we need institutions that promote uh an agenda of community development right right and and bringing the families back together i remember you know i remember growing up and even my older brothers if if if if he got caught cursing your mother beat him right and then when him up when you when when your mother find out she's going to beat you again and thank him my you know how how [ __ ] these kids are today that nobody runs away you don't hear about kids running away no more everybody
in this room you know i mean like obviously i was in covenant house as a kid i never could afford bail but i never played guilty so i don't really have a criminal record i have an arrest record right i've sat up in everything court cases was done yeah i mean the [ __ ] i'm about to dollar [ __ ] yeah i'm not pleading guilty but i'm not giving y'all nothing i'm praying for i pray that this podcast continues to do well yeah cause um i feel like yeah i exhausted all of my blessings
blessings yeah at this point in life but i can't imagine yeah just going being arrested no at one point in life jail was normal going to jail on a monthly basis exactly right going um for me in rehabs was normal now i look back on the person i'm like bro that [ __ ] none of that [ __ ] is normal that [ __ ] is like crazy to me now it's so foreign and that's a blessing right because and it comes from how you think of yourself yeah so if we kings we don't put
ourselves in those positions absolutely there should be no reason another man should have more control over your life than you than you right that goes right that goes forward overnight for weed i'm from before the fingerprint machine they used to grab us on fridays intentionally saturday and sweeps no right right tuesday night no sunday judging right go ahead we back like i'm gonna keep it yo listen yo i'm gonna keep it real the hot like i tell you i try to tell my little homies all the time the highest level of gangster if you're in
new york is the graveyard or southport or greenbox that's it three jacks in the wall baker boys tv ellen show yeah keep it real so i didn't so for me personally it was like i wanted to be me growing up i wanted i wanted to be gangster and when i rap i had this thing where it was like every rap i had i had to it would have to be real yeah yeah yeah you know i couldn't like if i didn't actually do it yo just write it it's jay-z's full yeah it is crazy we
will never hear it i don't even know whatever it's because i would never switch to myself now this seems to be a popular thing in hip-hop now but tell on yourself telling all of yourself you know why because a lot of beats too much juice a lot of bills this is my ops i'm gonna put them on my grin when they wind up dead who the first person they're going yes but i don't know nothing right no nothing but people no that's not yo nowadays snitching is accepted but but we got like this but we
got to be realistic is this an accentuation of what we came up with and the message that we kind of pushed nope listen when i was coming up listen you got arrested you kept your mouth shut when you came up correct when you came home you was applauded your family was taken care of you was looked at as an honorable man listen like first of all right [ __ ] been snitching bro like [ __ ] bro [ __ ] business right hip hop that says never hold on i love hoes these [ __ ]
[ __ ] lost 92 bricks had to fall back right [ __ ] [ __ ] lost 92 bricks had to fall back [ __ ] from the first to the fifth gauge all back right now listen to this right that's this ain't fiction this is all fast that's a good that's crazy right right tony shot the [ __ ] on the wings that that's a whole different kind of snitch you know i think now it's different because and let me be clear like i never rap i don't support ratting but [ __ ] been
rapping bro right i got locked down before animals messages like [ __ ] been ratting forever i feel like [ __ ] got phones now we probably all have a papi mason bar but does anybody know that pappy mason snitched on his whole family correct that's right see i don't glorify [ __ ] like that i never have [ __ ] ain't no aziz mom's that's crazy i never want his mom's that's crazy come on man think about that he's been right man how many times you gonna package it i never said that i wreck
it fast but didn't know that he made it on his moms i don't think it's a [ __ ] in a rat bar as far as a drug dealer that hasn't snitched [ __ ] hold on nick said jake okay check it lisa jay-z right look they said jay-z right now check it who is one of the presidents of roc nation his wife about that he's an informant yeah so that lady i know he's something i know she's a rat she's gonna form it so now [ __ ] if if this that's where this video
cuts out on youtube yeah but what i'm saying is how the rules go it just got too real if if i'm doing business with you right and this [ __ ] right here man and he rap then you no good yeah right that's only in the black no no no but but but let's be honest no no wait wait wait wait wait wait wait i mean anything anything underground because obviously now this is going again no i'm talking about people that do crime they are written rules to [ __ ] that live a lifetime if
you used to do something that means you don't do it no more which means that you don't you're not you're not going to hold into the mood so so that's a good question so now now i'm asking you guys a question right so you mean to tell me because i you not you allegedly right let's say you was uh involved in criminal activity you clean up your life you became a citizen same thing for you right right right so now because you're a citizen you can rat it's okay no oh yeah hold on wait a
minute hold on we don't know the circumstances yeah right i remember some of them [ __ ] that would sound great i i understand but you [ __ ] no no all right and in your professional boxing life it's against the rules to punch your [ __ ] in this nuts below the waist right yeah you retire you at the supermarket with your wife and [ __ ] walk up to you and grab your white legs all right right and i'm actually fighting y'all i'm fighting june 18th right now my hands is licensed before i
go outside [ __ ] mouth i want [ __ ] listen [Laughter] is [Applause] [Applause] but protecting that's different protecting your woman a man gotta protect this woman right that's true so what the point i'm trying to make is this and i'm not for snitch culture like i see hold 125th street everybody bringing out cameras i i said yo yo dawg stop glorifying being a rat you know i wasn't high-fiving trying to take pictures with po i wasn't doing none of that i'm whatever if you snitching on your business partners you're a [ __ ]
rat there's no there's no way to make this [ __ ] sexy snitching and snitching there and it's no good let's let's define the definition of snitching let's define the definition because there's something going on in hip-hop nowadays that it might become a little cloudy why because they say the [ __ ] [ __ ] six nines girl and that's the like that's the life i love no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no don't talk about that that rap basketball i'm talking about stitching my definition is
we both doing crime [ __ ] yeah yeah yeah one of us get caught and decides to turn over yo they got us come out the bushes car yeah it's different types of snitches let's get to the clear definition of what it is ain't no clear definition of snitching there's so many different i look out my window i see a [ __ ] i know about the rape a [ __ ] i call 9-1-1 am i a snitch or a good civilian which yeah one that's a hard question because you're snitching no no i'm not
here oh listen no watch no [ __ ] watch listen listen by holding to your roots listen listen hold on listen i would go outside and stop it before i called it thank you thank you you would i would there's no police i don't stand for right now jumping off on the train even if i don't know the female i'm going to defend them fight homie with his joint now you're gonna have to do it okay wait a minute how many times you gonna watch him you're gonna watch him for the rest of your life
he this is valid you're stopping that one time but the next time you don't catch him it's your cousin that's that's i don't know right how do you feel about it but you can't but you can't see look no first of all you said he said it right here he said listen don't have trouble at the first time this is what we grew up this is what we realized right now let me give you a different let me give y'all [ __ ] are different than them the police don't give a [ __ ] about
our community correct mm-hmm period right so reason why you don't we police ourselves no we don't no we don't listen hold on let me finish my point listen listen this is how things should be we police ourselves we yeah we protect ourselves so if a [ __ ] comes i'm gonna keep it listen bro you said it should be next time let's see your point 140 minutes you coming 140 minutes right now with that [ __ ] we're going to clear you out yup but i don't know what's going on with 140 from linux you
out here the black people show crap to black people we don't police ourselves ain't downtown we can't but now we let's stay focused on extension thing right now we all victims of our environment no we're not yes we are you want to be a victim if you're alive listen you got your opinion we can agree disagree you won't we don't [ __ ] we don't listen we don't bring drugs you've been to jail before no listen we wouldn't have systematic racism it wouldn't be willingness letters it would be none of that [ __ ] bro
first of all listen let me tell you something you got the right one because i'm knowledgeable go ahead i'm gonna be honest we don't bring we don't bring hold on we don't bring back in the day schools had trade schools schools had trade schools right like those trades in school correct that's that jail [ __ ] if y'all don't know that that's a young one yo smart realistically you just said if you're telling a rapist you you're a snitch yeah because i don't feel i don't you know listen no trying to come home oh that
[ __ ] sounds cool listen what i'm saying is this the point let me get back to the point i was making the police is not fuzz there's plenty of times i've seen [ __ ] try to snitch and get [ __ ] up by the police because you getting involved some [ __ ] now they got you in some [ __ ] you ain't supposed to be in you could just match your business now if somebody's being a detriment to my community it's my job because i lived it to g-check that person now that's
how that's how but it's your mom's job what do you know that's different she's gonna pick up the phone it's okay she's a female yeah yeah yeah yeah women so is she a snitch no she's not no no no because she's a female we men she's not in the game she's listening what's the man's role for his family to protect and provide protect provide maintain and sustain period so at the end of the day it's my job to protect my community as a man you go to the juices you do know i live in harlem
now when i see this [ __ ] that's what you're saying what you mean you should call yourself you see somebody getting raped a million percent yeah you go to certain spanish communities they're gonna whip your ass man yeah if you're just talking about the one time when they was gonna ride up nah i'm talking period but they're also gonna call the police yeah it depends me personally i feel like you should never call police i feel like i feel like [ __ ] police on all levels i don't i don't tiptoe me personally that's
it [ __ ] keep it in this [ __ ] who's been to jail [ __ ] who knows that a police officer saved my mom from getting robbed that a cop helped my grandmother when she fell down and took her to the hospital i know that every cop is due back i don't care i don't have time to decipher which one i don't write i don't tell you you don't have time you don't have something however right however we still when you're let me tell you when your moms go to your store and you
ain't around you you'll be happy then police is out there no i'll be honest with you i feel like this is why minority criminal organizations fail because they never tap in with the highest power in this country what's the icons country the police [ __ ] is nice the pope judges the mob yeah don't think twice who died you you you the banks and the private the private families and [ __ ] like that police work for them so it's not so at the end of the day if you're going to talk there right it's
like political however they are a gang that when they want vengeance ain't nobody at least the biggest gang in new york city you kill a cop when you kill a cop killer can't show up they they're showing up right yeah like every other criminal organization understands that except for minorities no it's not that we don't understand it the problem is that listen they were made they would make us crazy there's a town in the midwest right and um they're farmers right crops wasn't selling they started growing wheat they had one sheriff this was on 2020.
they had a sheriff right he was there for like 10 years he retired they came to him they said how much weed did you get in all these years since they grown those marijuana he said none then they had they showed the story with the next cop he was there for one [ __ ] year right and they caught a million dollars in weed from these same farmers he was only there for one year the next cop that they had right he was there for like five yeah they're like in your five years how long
how much weed have you got he said nothing and they said well we know that they're selling weed he said yeah but you can only police people as much as they will allow you to police them you [ __ ] can't stop beefing from 139th to 140th street there's no unity so being the fact that they don't got to worry about a unified black neighborhood bro the police crazy the police don't wow out in italian neighborhoods like that they don't they don't wow out in the jewish community no i'm i'm yo yeah i right i
bought a house of staten island right right i live in staten island predominantly white neighborhood trump flags everywhere gets me angry whatever it's true they got a trump flag and when i see now american flags hanging from trees i look at that like they exactly right that's like the underlying so whatever so they got guns yeah in the house yes oh the black with the blue line in texas because you know so in coney island it means my whole we got guns in the house we feared the police right right and staten island i wave
to the police it's it's a totally they don't come out if i'm walking down the block of staten island they don't come and [ __ ] pat me down the [ __ ] you doing and coney island i could just be walking up the block and they're gonna hop out on me right you know what i'm saying so a hundred percent how they act in white neighborhoods is totally different than how they act in black neighborhoods it's because of you the neighborhood they're unified i'm here with you listen bro you said you've been around you
listen bro you you older than everybody's room so you should have you should be you should know that these two [ __ ] not only older more well traveled you should no you shouldn't no you should know that's like saying cointel yo that's like saying that's like saying cointelpro was unbiased that's like saying the police department no it's not no that's not that's the point i'm saying no that's the point he said that's not the reason why i like that listen first of all see it's like and i'm glad we we're having different opinions and
and you know we dealing with people who are having an agenda to destroy us period and if you don't understand that if you it's like martin's the king said this he's like a [ __ ] break your leg you're in a race right we're all about to start a race right every coach is chinese asian italian we all had a starting point government comes takes the black man breaks his leg right and then looks at him like why he ain't running fast and leaning okay what martin luther king said was he said that bro i'm
not america uh out here telling the slaves after they took them off the plantation and put them on the streets with nothing that they should be able to pull up there pull themselves into the year when you can't tell a bootless man to pull up himself all right that's the same thing okay now would you destroy our hood and then act like we're supposed to have a community what you have to realize in that right is okay they put crack in there do the government try to straight black communities yes or no they put drugs
in the black community did black people have to sell it to other black people what did we have to be that greedy what they didn't do we have to say that i got to get so much money that [ __ ] from you're not even making noises is it is it so are we so greedy and self-defined against ourselves are you crazy [ __ ] can't [ __ ] i'm telling you something he's crazy we are like 116. the [ __ ] out but do you have it bro they put chemicals in a food that
make you a great smart dog you had slavery okay let me bring it back for you slow [ __ ] okay this is what everybody's trying to convey to you is that unification takes responsibility and responsibility is i'm not gonna sell drugs yeah unification is interrupted though that's what i'm trying to tell you allows certain things to happen in my community because it's detrimental to the community and until you acknowledge that all the way around there will always be chinks in the armor okay i got it right here i got it right here this is
the easy way right here right you got full you got i'm from brooklyn new york city right i can name five people within my age group and i'm i'm i'm not even 50 yet that are out here on the street really doing it trying to get the community together that run around day in with these kids and go to the things and try to get all these things named five from harlem i'm look looking at one bro no name five what are you talking about my name is more than five bro hold on first of
all first of all first of all it's first of all listen everybody can you name five i don't like jumping from point to point right okay let me go back let me bring it back to the point because that's how [ __ ] get lost bro we came from africa right they brought us over here right we had jim crow laws we had willie lynch right this this [ __ ] has been systematic black people by nature we are not ignorant people we are not we we can have [ __ ] okay so when you
when we when we when we like let our oppressor off the hook we don't it's causing effect you know you got now it's not nobody got anybody wait hold on hold on let me finish the point though when you let the oppressor off the hook then you don't identify the strategies that's being applied to destroy you period and to say that our communities that we not unified because it gets interrupted there's been plenty we talk about the bla right like i'm like assassinate is part of my family my family members is one of the founders
of bla right when you talk about the black liberation army they everything we tried to do to come together the government has intervened and destroyed it and then left residue okay we don't have no nepotism we don't have no financial institutions we don't have no banks we don't have no [ __ ] hospitals we don't have our own police we don't have our own security we got a bunch of people just trying to [ __ ] survive okay now hold on everything you just insane is wrong what's the name of it what's the name of
the game what's the name of the bank oh it's something green we don't have no bait hold on wait stop blocked out wait i i i can pull it out i can pull it up for you right now you bump six or seven you shine i didn't work for the white man man no i'm not even joking nah dude you had an uncle that you had to fight off from coming in your crypt to steal something because you was because he needed to go get some crack i did then that would that should piss you
off as far as the [ __ ] just wait this is this is the barrier this is the list of black holes just being real this is the list of black bears in new york city i'm a disagreement wait this is not crazy that's like saying a white male let's see ain't it gets us broke wait that's just saying a white man that's not that's like saying the police got nothing so if i'm selling crack right now you got a job for me yep how come i'm a 2012 i'm a 25 year old tradesman i
i've never that's a couch i don't know snapchat that's okay you're not giving them money how many hundred games maybe 30 how many of you gave johnson maybe 30. how many have you seen the crack ain't easy [ __ ] wait [ __ ] yo you must accept hard work yeah that's hard here's the hard part right i've taught 30 young people a trade right i sold crack too you know what i never did i never stood on nobody corner i so wait you [ __ ] don't dream big enough you're so way weird you
should wait with richmond news with jesus you can't name a [ __ ] smart point but you can't cat me though and they can say yo bro you say your bro bro insulting [ __ ] when you say cat bro you don't know this generation of young black men i should keep saying right one if somebody disagrees with your statement it's not a personal attack sometimes building and expanding and expounding with each other requires some form of misunderstanding or discommunication because if we all thought the same thing we'd be [ __ ] sheep you need
to talk to your man and say yo you know what nah that's not right this is right and together you [ __ ] could google search whatever the [ __ ] y'all want to come up with the fact but the [ __ ] going not as cat saw a lion that's how we would never get anywhere we'll never get nowhere like that never research never no i'm not a question i wanted to ask you to stop yeah yeah yeah please this is that's there was uh there's a time period you from brooklyn that's from hong
kong that's cats that's cat that's cat that nigga's from brooklyn i've known him for years he's from brooklyn he's from brooklyn anyway um the thing that happens with artists after they find their sobriety or final reason for sobriety is their music sometimes suffers do you feel like that happens i thought that i was that's was one of the reasons why i enabled me not to stop but what i found is when i stopped my bars went to the next level my grind went to the next level my productivity the way i work went to the
next level because i wasn't filling up 24 hours of the day with where am i getting the next one from now is what am i doing to build on my dream right and i just thought way more clearly you know what i'm saying when i was running in the streets it was a small bubble of subject matter that i had to take from because that was my life running around coney island three avenues 21 blocks 24 hours a day when i stopped i started going to scotland to [ __ ] brussels to paris to all
over new york city went all over america what i'm saying and my thought palette just opened up and everything my subject matter went up and you know i gotta write a concept song about this about i said just talk about my life just everything just went up from that point on and it was like taken to the next level the world so you didn't you didn't feel that way i was scared at first yeah 100 i was scared i was like damn i'm gonna stop smoking weed i can't be in the studio smoking weed like
but damn i might become whack but now is the total opposite it was the total total total opposite i didn't let myself sabotage myself or lie to myself or believe the lie that a part of me was telling said no [ __ ] that i don't believe that you needed this i'm gonna prove myself wrong right what i'm saying and fine you have to even with um like i said like when my cousin's passing i was in the slump i didn't want to get out of bed it was like oh i could am i gonna
[ __ ] stay like this forever nah it's time to man the [ __ ] up now you got two angels watching over me that's gonna [ __ ] be on you know what i'm saying that you got motivation to do it for and you gotta have something to live for you gotta have something that you want better the the thing that i see friends of mine people in general is people are okay with being regular and being at this point in life and going through life like this me i'm not okay with that i
want more for myself i want more for my family i want more for the people around me if i got a rolly i want my man to have a [ __ ] rolly i don't want to be the only one i want i want better for everybody but if you don't want better for yourself i can't help you i can show you i can show you how to fish i can't feed it to you what i'm saying do you find that there's a lot of people that you run into that just don't have the the
belief system in their mind that it could happen for them yeah i mean life life is a [ __ ] life defeats us all in certain ways but you have to welcome the losses you can't be scared of taking a loss when the fight club i got 26 wins four losses you know when i thought of my hardest [ __ ] after a loss because it made me [ __ ] so i inspired you hell yeah yeah yeah he said it earlier he said i had 20 something battles on fight club you know what i
remember listen and it took me a while to get to this point because when people were asking me about mad man [ __ ] man if he put up two of his rounds on the youtube only one of my i really won that but you know what i'm not getting okay with who i am right we welcome losses now it's only a loss if you don't learn from jackpot and i'm saying you're lost if you don't learn it's only a loss if you don't learn from the best the best lessons in my life have come
from losses the best lessons of me doing the merch [ __ ] is taking a look all this this this dude jerked me i shouldn't have paid that much all right now i never work with that person again i'm going to get over here and i'm going to get a cheaper price and you learn so much excuse me you learn so much just from taking a loss that they become invaluable lessons right so welcome a loss don't don't don't be scared of it welcome it now you have the apparel yeah yeah [ __ ] your
life nyc um what was the inspiration behind that um trying to change my life because look after i got clean four or five years i started running the route of a phone route um and my everyday life was now i'm moving coke i'm moving perks i'm moving ecstasy and it was a daily routine from the moment i woke up the phone would wake me up to the second i would fall asleep with the phone right here i'm saying i'm running from sunday to wednesday with somebody that i'm close with um and uh after a while
it became like i'm i'm pr i'm preaching or i'm practicing one way of life but i'm poisoning everything else and also when i at the time i was breaking up with a with a relationship i had and and i had a stash box i was like you're so easy to just take this pain away right now i'm failing and just get high and i was like nah that i'm not gonna i'm not gonna be lost i'm not gonna be that um and it came to a point was like yo i'm not okay with doing this
anymore after i stacked up a little bit and all that and then it just became like bless you it became like yo what what's the next move i i was running around all day moving doing the illegal [ __ ] how could i do this legally and always i would make you know shirts that say [ __ ] your life that's my cash phrase my slogan i found the plug in china bought 50 hats it's just sold out quick but china takes six seven months for them to get another another 50 had something high so
i'm waiting broke and i i'm not hustling at this time i told my my people i was doing it yeah i don't want to do this no more you know what i'm saying this is around the time you pulled up on me and call and stuff yeah yes you know what i'm saying with the 50 [ __ ] yeah yeah yeah and the two on two versus rum nitty and ill will yeah we clean them [ __ ] clocks so i just took that that well i just took the lessons of moving that way illegally
and just put them to a legal hustle and then people would be like because i would drop hats and they back yo about yo hit the paypal i ship it to you nah i don't i only [ __ ] with cash homie uh all right well i'm pulling up on you let's see you had my fifty dollars for this right right right right right where you at you're in the bronx all right i'm not coming over there if you ain't taking five hats right i'll take them all right be home uh you in queens all
right and then it just i was like i gotta find a plug that's not in china so i went to america you know i finally started finding plugs out here and got jerked a couple times and i started doing collabs with real official brands and then it just took off and then the next move was like i i got to start paying taxes on this which is the [ __ ] [ __ ] monster the worst but if i wanna succeed in life this is these are the houses uncle sam wants 33 cents out of
every dollar so now when i see construction in my neighborhood yo what the [ __ ] you doing over here right now i'm saying that i feel like a real citizen well um i made six figures just off of the dms i didn't even have a website i have nothing now i have the website fyl.nyc um and now i support that yeah yeah that was running itself i bought my mother house off of that [ __ ] you know what i'm saying which is the best no deal all my life no deal no nothing we
live in the rapper's life you know what i'm saying but people say yo nem you don't want to sign with why what the [ __ ] would i sign i own everything i do i do what i want i drop what i want i all the chains that a rapper buys when he first signs the deal the rolexes the houses for their mobs i did all that by myself [ __ ] your life god theory and if anything happens to me after i bring up this subject you know what it is this is a theory
a lot of rappers they get signed especially nowadays these labels they crunch the numbers they figure out what works what brings the money what does it rappers get locked up and rappers dying on two of the biggest promotions as far as money makers right for labels now i've spoken to a lot of independent artists shout out to source walker one of the things that he told me when i said yo he said yo jay jay been trying to sign me i'm like yo why wouldn't you sign he said because i don't want to label playing
with my life mm-hmm that's facts that's bad that's real that means playing with okay because because i'm gonna explode that means playing with your butt no listen because no i mean i look because i've been doing music no because i feel like we gotta we gotta put it out there you know what i mean and i think i think a lot of no let's go you headed out no listen because i feel like that's not what he meant by the way no no no i'm just saying in general because i feel like a lot of
people like i had like two record deals right and they wanted your butt yeah wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait he said yo hold on yeah smart yeah what happened you was [ __ ] with g with it what's his name what's his name so look let me be clear right now because it's not even funny i'm keeping it real right it's not even funny now i'm not a homosexual i've
never done a homosexual [ __ ] nobody never played with my butt but what happens is there's no butt after that last point you you period that and then nobody nobody never did yet no i mean listen no but listen what i'm saying is you know they proposition you they do things indirectly like they might send a stylus at you right listen they might send the stylist yeah wear this and the stylist is being all extra tight listen homie when you're doing that or they might invite you to a party and there's no [ __
] there's a sausage party wait hold on i'm out you're saying i mean so a lot of a lot of guys artists that get into this game they want to get deals they get in they got talent they had good intentions and then have you been to these parties personally have you seen them you can't you can't get that's a doggy diamond question shout out to you guys right now you can't get it yeah make it to the real party because somewhere if you if you're not a homosexual they got they got a filtering out
process yeah yeah so they're sending stylists there they'll have you out and about because they trying to drug you so you'll be in a studio session late at night and they'll see if you if you're a meatball your bro hit this blunt you ain't see the blunt get rolled or you'll rotate this drink right here and you like hold on bro listen homie ain't with that and dude some dudes would get drunk like i've been in studios with artists famous artists and i seen [ __ ] take a bottle that wasn't theirs and they in
the studio or boozy i'm out i don't know what happened to that person after but that [ __ ] didn't you know it's like a [ __ ] trying to get a chick drunk right so wait a minute again wait a minute somebody at g-unit tried to get you bro see look you trying to sensationalize it what i'm saying i'm trying to figure it out what i just told you i just told you when you when you in this business right and you got talent they want you because you got influence the devil's job is
to get as many souls as possible so if you got the potential to be influential they want you not because your talent because they could use you as a tool to push their agenda now in order for them to fully put you in position they have to make sure that you're willing to get in position and that position is taking dick and ass bro [Laughter] so when you and one shoot and what and once you peter well see the thing about today is is that you don't the the the gatekeepers that used to be there
uh when my student is coming up not you're not not because is a it's very goes deep into subjects and i like his point of view sit in the seats get the rev one what's your dick hold on you're not my [ __ ] you gotta talk you gotta talk up talking about gay sex parties in the industry wanting your butt i don't know i think now i'm always no matter what category of business you're in still same thing exactly you're gonna find yes rich people who are playing for the other side french period keep
saying that french friend but this is what i'm saying okay i'm not i'm not saying like it's just a hip-hop thing or whatever you're gonna find that now whether it makes you uncomfortable whether it it makes you feel like they trying to get you that's a different thing in itself so i don't feel uncomfortable saying about it what i told you the devil's job is to take as many shows as possible the music industry is satanic when i say it's still the same gatekeepers what i mean by this is a company called vivindi period vivindi
y'all could google that vivindi owns viacom it's umbrella companies it's [ __ ] this [ __ ] don't change right that's one two with the music business once they see you got potential to be influential over the masses like like we said earlier a you said a fan i'll look at you and be like yo you motivate me you motivate me i motivate people that [ __ ] with my music so like yeah we want him we want him we want math we want it we want smart right so now they want you to push
this evil [ __ ] now you thinking like i [ __ ] it's lit i'm i'm trying to get on they throw money at you because you know we be real [ __ ] so from the river like this is cool this is cool then you start seeing the funny [ __ ] yeah yeah and then i see you see other [ __ ] not saying you let's just say it's another [ __ ] another rapper right so i'm a rapper not you it's another rapper and you think this nigga's official so we coming together
we like your [ __ ] you start see this thing get less and less official now he doing the photo shoot now the stylist is playing with his balls on the photo show you're gonna size like this and you're like hold up all right my [ __ ] you i ain't with that bro so now once they see it's like hazing in order for you to get to the next level see a stylist playing with the [ __ ] i did yes the [ __ ] i did okay yes the [ __ ] i did
so there's the two yes i did this too it says there's two parts to it this is snitching wait all right that's greed how greedy you got to be that's a lot of [ __ ] play with your boy that's a fact see some brothers like that's why i'm good i was pointing ahead when you say that because i'm not listening that's why i felt what he said about like why would i sell a deal i sold crack i sold drugs i had houses listen hold on i had houses on wreckers island right one main
five up with this my [ __ ] i had cribs up north i was good like i was that [ __ ] that don't translate to earth listen listen i control [ __ ] you heard that listen listen this is what i'm saying bro that's what i'm saying bro you you you saying you've been in the peninsula you understand that no listen let me feel guilty so you may not understand this so what i'm saying is is i already i know how to get i know how to beat blood out of rock right so a
[ __ ] can't tell me he's gonna give me a hundred million dollars and play with my butt cause i'm gonna go one i'm not a homosexual two i'm never selling my soul three i don't care is a hundred billion dollars personal right let me get it on my own let me get to the point bruh right so i'm gonna get it on my own the other a lot of these artists don't be real [ __ ] that [ __ ] you see on the record or whatever they making they not really solid they're not
throwing they never sold on drugs they got mommy and daddy at home they never even been through [ __ ] so when they get propositioned and they see a car they go they don't know don't drink after a [ __ ] they don't know a [ __ ] they don't know those numbers let me tell you a story cause i ain't really trying to put [ __ ] out there right but a [ __ ] in the studio we we're from the hood i used to stick [ __ ] up bro baby's face i said
book [ __ ] so i i'm always on point bro i'm on point right now my [ __ ] always on my squid but a [ __ ] that's a square he don't know so he don't know what's your drink he don't know so now he drink behind a [ __ ] he gets digger drug they rape this [ __ ] they they rape this [ __ ] videotape it then when he in the meeting they gave him a shitty contract they played a video on him getting [ __ ] by like three [ __
] he ain't never been doing [ __ ] like that so he like man what [ __ ] i'm just gonna sign and you're gonna give me money so rather rather than get that story put out he's gonna sign that bad contract which is the 360 deal he's gonna take that advance which is recuperable anyway so they're gonna give him the money just to take back and own the rights to his [ __ ] i'm sitting here with five [ __ ] that got the same look like i killed nine [ __ ] yo it's
funny but it's not funny because there's a kid right now that's watching this that i'm trying to tell us that he's got a video where's that so careful no he could you got to be careful y'all be careful so he could avoid that ditch this shark infested waters aside from that aside from that yeah it ain't just no industry [ __ ] you know there's predators walking the [ __ ] streets different man and as a kid i ran into a couple of predators and i figured out who they was and my in my mind
i was like okay let's set these [ __ ] up and roll them right but hold on see my thing is like i said when i saw what they were there when i said they didn't have to do nothing with no music no nothing there's no gatekeepers that's not what i meant i mean traditionally right as an artist river used to have to have a single that was popping before they were put out right that was when the gatekeepers was there right remember that you you had to actually tour on your album and it was
one album about a year and all that that's when the gatekeepers were there that's when they had to monetize every bit of who you was as a person right right then i think of chance the rapper you know he's not i'm gonna tell you about chance chance is the only [ __ ] that made a million dollars with no record deal that [ __ ] sold a million tapes on his own cat he ended up he's not the only one you got beyonce on a [ __ ] record because how are you come on bro
he's an industry player no no no no no no no no it's like these [ __ ] be and that's enough to and let me tell you something the gatekeepers now what's your first role i'm going back to the french [ __ ] but vindi right and then now the gatekeeping is not analog the gatekeeping is digital right that's one then number two modified [ __ ] nobody didn't play what they bought now they're just [ __ ] everybody definitely getting they you don't even meet spotify you put your [ __ ] on you cause
you got algorithms and [ __ ] like that they like j like first of all even with instagram nobody gives a [ __ ] about the pennies we make okay so when you when when you a brother like me math now and his brother right here you we basically utilizing direct to consumer right but it's a cap to that it's a limit to that right so these these these social media platforms they limit your ads how many people view your [ __ ] or whatever it's all it's all controlled correct right and then they got
people now in the industry they make it seem like they're independent but they really not they got media companies publishers they got mad [ __ ] behind them because now that's like the cool thing i'm an independent [ __ ] regulator no i get it i mean because it sounds more of like a dream yeah it's like no no it's it's not depending on oh it's no no when i say what i could say you know why not hold on now you got to think about that it's a second mixtape but this is do that
no independent artist right no it's not the notes thank you what was the imprint on that album where it shows that nobody was doing it you say it again it was a deal with apple wait wait wait say that last part again it was a it was a free mixtape let me tell you what chance did with that he didn't make no money off the mixtape yes he did yes he did he didn't make i mean to say that all of the tour money the coliseums that he sold out what that's [Applause] very important about
both those deals they were exclusively on one platform that means his fan base yeah his fan base had to go there yeah from dealing with jews and like i said that would have to that album that came out on apple for jay-z that was under roc nation no samsung oh no no the hold up i want to tell all the artists watching this that there's a lot of politics in the game and this [ __ ] i used to listen to this like everything that we're talking about and get discouraged but the bottom line is
just [ __ ] do you want to kick the bra before they come to you and tell them you [ __ ] do it right exactly i want to say shout out to everybody who purchased the pre-order of the justin project i sold it for a hundred dollars great thinking i don't know what's gonna happen and a lot of my fans stood up and said yo here's a hundred that we want the hour we want that i want the album we want that independent and rest in peace the nipsey hustle because i got that i
was just going to say hey you know what i mean yeah for sure definitely independent but yeah you can it's it's about it's about knowing your fans i thought your name was matthew shots [ __ ] around you'll be needing emergency medical service me in the hospitals [Laughter] but what does it say that was for it was a lot yeah like that like it was really it was really me a treat achieving true happiness [ __ ] that's kind of that should be a book [ __ ] yeah it will yeah there we go but
i never told nobody no y'all yeah but see but you know what so crazy overseas like that's why i'm glad these conversations being had because at the end of the day when you when you when you expose it it goes back to what i was saying about once you influence you then you're you're an asset to them right so once you understand your value position right like you could be an independent guy putting work in and get to a point where you're good enough for them to purchase your soul right and when you see there's
no artist be clear there's no artist in this industry that's doing major numbers with these platforms that haven't sell they sold and when you know what you're looking at and you know how to decipher [ __ ] you will you know you will see it and the people like the brother right here who has his merchants doing it out the trunk and direct to consumer you will never get to that 20 million dollar club without going through certain doors you know i got to ask this question so e40 didn't do it hold on hold on
no i got to ask this question do you guys believe that the rappers that are at the top sold their songs yes no somehow yes no no no i want i want to i want to go around and find out how everybody feels about this i know bus he ain't never selling so okay i know quality and most they ain't never selling sources right i know my phone book is me i know a bunch of people did you hear the question in the action i ain't never said yes but it's what i'm saying that represent
the top you're right that's not there's always a ceiling he's not great and are you talking about these kids today yeah you can make let me tell you what if you make five million name three of them that made 30. what right 30 30 years oh on earth because last time i checked anybody that made that ceiling also didn't make it from the pops buster's bust around to the right [ __ ] so you know he's a legend yeah when you start talking about a ceiling let me see you got to be careful here's what
here's what here's what the max is the max is called longevity the max ain't about what you made this year that the max you know how much you sold on one album problems right that's not what the matter did you jump around like the question the question was you do and i'm honestly the people that made it to the top did they sell their souls no tribe called quests ain't never selling so shout out to q-tip well what's the top that's what i'm saying like right what is your idea what i'm saying because you talk
about money at the top right so jay-z i want to go around the room and find out if y'all feel like they have to sell their souls to get to where they're at jay-z i feel like yo remember that thing they said they gave they had to give up somebody very close to them that that you got this oh yeah look at everybody look jj um who uh his nephew yeah eminem his uncle yeah um eminem um say that uh they made the video we made the video jump joe pun it's a death next that's
what they say i'm just look i'm just going off thank you what the you know you talking about these conversations you guys feel like you sold your soul no yes you did i don't know you know what i'm not i'm asking but i don't really think about these type of things me personally i don't believe none of that [ __ ] yeah i really don't i don't know i don't i don't have too much money yeah people die listen no nobody can say the same thing about my two cups but this is what i'm saying
that metaphor that metamorphosis that you went through due to the response yeah yeah people would look at like oh no that was it yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah 100 but no people looking alone in my life that didn't make me more focused no but see see this is see realistically realistically yeah but but when you see this when you see this when you see this when you see this when you see this when you see the checkered balls on the floor when you see the skull and bones when you see the signs and similars and
when you slow down the music jay-z new video with knives and dj khaled it's a scene with checkerboards this is these are all occult satanist symbolic symbols so so so what i'm saying is is and i'm gonna tell you why i don't and me personally i've been in the music for a minute had deals and all that bro i don't give a [ __ ] about this [ __ ] but what i what i know for me i study so i know when i see it so i know what to avoid cause [ __ ]
can be trying to sacrifice your ass and you don't even you're not studying god told us to read and be knowledgeable so when i see jay-z what does this mean what does this mean what does this mean you not know gang member you got checkerboard floors in your [ __ ] you got skull and bones you what does this mean because it what it's not just there you look at cardi b's album cover it's checkerboard you look at dream dog now she's the checkerboard shoe like i'm not y'all [ __ ] these let me tell
you something these [ __ ] sell they sold they practice what does it mean though what it means what it means what does the checking board mean it means mind control so you got classical condition and you got operational conditioning so what they do is they use they use programming so mk ultra yeah but it's so it's so it's it's to push an agenda so you've heard of this [ __ ] before right i heard the mk ultra but i don't pay that [ __ ] so so to check so what i'm saying is not
saying that we care about it because i'm not conspiracy theorist it's just that this is what i look for when i see a success i'm looking for anything to say that they didn't do it just look and say that's my man he did well please don't be looking for the devil behind me you know why because if you look for the devil behind me you're gonna [ __ ] you're gonna promise me no you won't no you won't not me i don't know you won't think no you won't no you won't need time let me
tell you something they called me they're hitting me [ __ ] [ __ ] [Music] now like this [ __ ] is crazy to me because in real life my [ __ ] listen we just [ __ ] doing what we love to do that's it no no no no and there's no no no wait but it is going to do with it because the person says listen you look at spiderman right you look at spiderman right i do spiderman he does the symbol right what's the name so now that's it but you know what
i realized that this is also from alpha kappa alpha i realize that this is also from a new guinea tribe that does this as a sign of peace and hello i realize that this means peace here but this means white power it used to mean okay this means peace this means war this means that means war this means separate this eleven this is left this is eleven means it's eleven means what there's peace no sean chains like this means that this is peace no this is peace that's no this one this is peace but i'm
saying that if you just be out here looking for some [ __ ] all of the time you'll find some [ __ ] all of the time but what i will say is what i've noticed amongst people and i think you you've noticed it i think you've noticed that i think you've noticed it i don't know how many other people but people will figure out ways to put someone's success in a category that's out of their reach because of some underlying rule that they had to fall under or some wicked thing that they had to
be a part of them [ __ ] be wicked hold on just to say she's crazy it's not natural that he came from where we yeah yeah yeah and immediately made it that far right so there had to be some sort of evil influence right or the devil is involved see what they sold this they say what they call that he sacrifices they call it or he did this right it's called the crab in the barrel mentality so what happens in the process what happened so what happens when a person is successful is rich and
it's saying that i'm already successful i'm up i see it these [ __ ] say that [ __ ] i'm not bro yo i lost my wing i sold my soul to god i sold my soul to the devil for happy meal that's what kanye said jay-z said it and multiple songs him selling his soul not me i'm having heaven on earth i want to it'd be it being cold so at the end of the day joe said one day i went to visit my did you ever do that he said hell no [ __
] that was i was just trying to that was a bar that was going to sell fat joey never stick up his aunt rob go on jay-z i don't think jay-z ever so cracked his mom's what did jay-z say that was an illuminati so let's do a video acting like we had an illuminati and that was the swiss beast on to the next one [ __ ] sometimes it's just a lyric yeah it's just the lyrics no do you think do you think jay-z so cracked his moms you think [ __ ] really really superman
[ __ ] crazy man it's just a lyric it's just a lyric it's just the lyric it let's do this you don't think that way listen the only people who i listen to if a million people think i'm part of them acting like i'm in the illuminati i'm gonna feed into it if it's gonna cause people to click more i might feed into it no just to have fun yeah to have fun but are you really gonna go out there and go find the illuminati meetings and all that no no no it's just a lyric
it's not right but [Applause] it's playoff time and um you know my nets are doing very well they're doing very good stand up brooklyn stand up we finally got a team that we can root for we fresh brooklyn is the freshest team that's gonna bring a chip home to new york to new york it ain't the knicks now shout out to the knicks because they kind of [ __ ] up like a lyric on my album i said um my baby mom's a bitter chick trying to keep my kids too many wack games i need
a switch i feel like i got season ticks to see the next but they number four right now hey they've been number four a lot of coincidences now that the same season the knicks make the playoffs than when i was in a commercial you feel me you heard it i'm not a coincidence yeah only reason you can make some wins facts y'all [ __ ] threw spike out the garden all y'all got left yo man i think [ __ ] gonna get it man how many basketball fans we got about in the building lakers gonna
get it man my old basketball make this nigga's gonna get it man i think ladies gonna win man everybody i hate to say i i hate lebron lagers are just bro i love lebron i hate lebron i love lebron the goat go the ghost the goat i love lebron [Applause] jordan was able to take that made them great though was the best place there's no way lebron will ever touch mike period there's no way it's impossible to have stock in private prisons he already beat me for this i heard that was full stone that ain't
come over me i'm gonna keep it real i've been to prison if they told me your names you got a million dollars you invest in these prisoners considered the greatest champion ever but floyd definitely got a better record no you don't no you don't yes 50 years old bro listen she not look she's on the beach [Applause] the championship who's taking the nba champions league this year like nick's 30 years later i'm trying to tell you you like the lakers yes listen ladies get you all the knicks fan these [ __ ] as well shout
out to james harden shout out to yo shout out to um kevin durant shout out to the to the top 15 players in the league and i'm dropping a record for the team so stay tuned let's get stay tuned make sure you look out for that it's called home team dropping that record ah okay all right i feel man yeah i already told you brooklyn got it if i'm moving for anybody i used to just root for the knicks exclusively but then you know finger roll kneecaps and all that [ __ ] that up yeah
i can't rock with the knicks bro i can't i in history man yeah can't wear a pair pair of ewings was the last time they won that [ __ ] 70 what six yeah this is i don't even know 70 the [ __ ] cleveland browns won a super bowl before these [ __ ] listen to what i'm telling y'all y'all better stop [ __ ] around with these [ __ ] man it's a [ __ ] [ __ ] my man got the lakers right here who made machine he got lebron i don't like
lebron i just like his the nba is rigged so i mean you know i mean it's kind of like i feel like it's real i don't think that players be throwing games like when like like that like i think it was like i don't know it was last year two years ago when that when i know that the clip is just through the last two games like to get out of the way the lakers i know the eagles threw the [ __ ] last game for the giants last game i heard talking about pete rose
[ __ ] that [ __ ] didn't they kept that [ __ ] out of the hall of fame games for um draft picks and playoff positions that's why the knicks i won't i said at one point they had they were doing away and then i seen them [ __ ] just died at the whole end of the day season i was like oh these [ __ ] just aiming for the number one pick and that was my thought on it that that's what that's the name of the godzilla they did they validated it yeah
they i mean damn but i don't know just i feel like everything nowaday but the floyd with the floyd [ __ ] right you got to think hey let's just talk with marvin haglin right it took marvin hagler seven years just to get a title shot they had one belt for each weight division it's only one champion so that means you had to fight the best now now how to oh look check it now how to now how to belt situated they got multiple belts you could be in one weight division and it's like three
title holders still never lost in 50 fights ali took losses and the reason that ali is consistent joe frazier you understand the competition these are the only considered the greatest it's not because of what he did what it's because of what he yes it is no no no no no no no don't fight for this one i'm telling you everything that he did outside of boxing is what made him the girl you know what he did in boxing no i don't know sonny listen however there are better 21 years old however there are better records
listen to me had a better career than mike tyson no yes he did he was fighting yes he did yes he did mike jack johnson mike tyson ten round fighters mike dyson frazier was a 15-round fight bro the crab joe frazier mm-hmm [ __ ] yo that that whole yo ken knowing broke alleys y'all start talking about islands that's beautiful y'all are talking about frasier foreman norton uh spinx and two other people y'all talking about seven great heavyweights yes sir we didn't fight floyd did floyd mayweather in the fight floyd beat everybody from de la
hoya on on through watching like look i look at it like this right boxing to me personally mike tyson is greater than floyd [ __ ] the record you know why because i watch mike tyson's fight we watch fights and she [ __ ] knock out support people punish me punish me that's what you want i watch the fights i fall asleep by the seventh round no no [ __ ] [ __ ] is [ __ ] saying that i don't want to see it i'm doing the hard when i'm talking about that yeah it's
who you thought in real life how many boxing matches you have like in a ring yeah none [ __ ] i fight bro all right so listen so what i'm saying is this floyd mayweather tried to change the dynamic you just said look let's say sunny listening right larry holmes george foreman right joe frazier um uh cleaver right this is set i'm just like i'll leave four between like let's say seven and eight monsters right right now let's go to floyd's mayweather okay he's full city no wait listen floyd mayweather fort dale corrales had a
catch weight right he fought oscar de la hoya passed his prom he ducked uh antonio margarito he ducked paul williams he ducked sergio martinez um wait wait wait wait wait wait wait hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on you four shane mosley passes prompt before um wait passes way past bro what's um what's homie name from puerto rico [Applause] wake these fights y'all talk about that floyd was just at his prime that whole time what you mean no he never fought nobody casino nobody twice yes shout
out to floyd um i've seen him beat the [ __ ] out of [ __ ] at the top of the game and i'm not i'm not allowed i'm not yeah never fought nobody i do want to bring up floyd mayweather versus jake paul no logan paul callie as [ __ ] logan paul what do y'all mean five minutes ago when the money comes just taking it back i'm taking that back he's fighting the corny one though that nobody knows before yo what know his career is over that dude realistically looks like he is the
django unchained you see this [ __ ] i don't know like a monster man such nasty some [ __ ] happened so me the the better the betting money's on floyd however you cannot act like he's not old that kid is has a decent overhand right and if he did catch on but that's not the one that'd be knocking everybody out broken brother he's fighting logan not jake into your voice because my father taught me a long long time ago you know what i'm saying i had a fight yeah he's 6-2 i had to fight
a [ __ ] with my ass and i came home my pops was like yo what happened you know what it takes to be the champion of the world i said what [ __ ] said two hands in a heartbeat you better carry ass back out there yeah yeah and that's all it take [ __ ] that's it that's it and you can be taking [ __ ] lightly and you just i'm i'm yeah but this is what i'm saying where how do we disrespect floyd's legacy we don't think yeah no he's gonna touch this
[ __ ] because because because at the end of the day he's never taken nothing boxing boxing is an unforgiving sport you could be that [ __ ] like roy jones he came back he fought he fought tarpon right he moved up he beat ruiz at heavyweight right professional boxer should have retired boxing is not a sport you play sports if you don't play yes boxing is like you can't [ __ ] get old overnight now if floyd has been maintaining it if he's sparring the only way for him to i don't give a [
__ ] who you is a [ __ ] you could take a [ __ ] look i'm gonna keep helping you right i've been boxing now for a year taking this serious right right i'm getting it with guys that may have way more experience than me but they ain't in the gym every day i mean and you mean in the gym every day child [ __ ] talent at home it's true cause you it's the conditioning right so if he however they experience is not something you're gonna sleep on you don't sibo experience but conditioning
a [ __ ] a [ __ ] a [ __ ] a [ __ ] i don't know man all i'm saying is if floyd got to be he should he got to be in the gym regularly he got to be sparring you didn't see that video floyd the other day that's a video listen listen it's a video clip listen man i think you've always got this yeah nobody thought about that when i had that conversation i said yo floyd you might make 300 times for this not only not only the check he getting it's
his promotion i think he got 12 right floyd 50 m's from a youtuber fight it's professional boxes right now on showtime that's walking away with a 30 000 purse so that means this is but this is what i'm saying we're entering the era where we don't care about the professionals that's entertainment entertainment it's entertainment period if if you're popular and whatever you're doing and you cross brand into something else we're paying attention yeah that's it absolutely because let me tell you if snoop dogg which is a [ __ ] that i love to death if
snoop was to say i'm about to go in here and fight the youtuber beyond deontay so that means back so look so it segues to guys like in music and battle rap right that means that at the end of the day battle rappers and music artists have the potential to make millions of dollars which is the fact dave chappelle told me that he thought that you would be the first person on youtube to make a million dollars but no that's not i will it won't i will yeah battle rapper rapper yeah right he and let
me tell you why because i don't know okay shout out to dave thank you dave i will be right hopper see longevity is worth much more than that little instant thing back no i'm saying yeah longevity you know what i'm saying he could do something like this podcast webcast 30 50 100 000 people just gonna log on longevity you know why because he built up that fan base those are people that have been following him so now you got youtubers out there that have a fan base of like millions and millions of people right and
they're looking for ways to make money outside of it to monetize when it comes to yeah platform mayweather might be the biggest boxing match in history it might gross the most money ever in life bigger than baby jingle man baby shark make eight million dollars a month that's what i'm saying about to make my own youtube channel for babies right right are you kidding me wait [Applause] but the key to that though like like you were saying right the key to that is is user base right so now if math decides to let's say maybe
take a course in writing code and understands how to you know you know build the software right or outsource the team right to now convert that youtube or digital following into an actual user base that's paid subscribers for his personal platform then now now the conversation i mean you know wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait
wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait what is that sentence yo subscribe to my patreon patreon.com if you want to get the audio and the videos ahead of time before they hit youtube you got to become
part of the patreon so patreon.com all right finish that sentence black people know how to do it all and get it together and all and and put it together so so okay so so basically what that means is we're talking about analog versus digital right right so why was masterpiece so powerful back in the day why was dame dash so powerful shout out to dames my boy um but that [ __ ] crazy but that [ __ ] i went to the game is crazy different i mean so but the thing back in the day
as an artist right was if you had your own record label he was way ahead of the game he was different right because you understood business and infrastructure right the new record labels are the youtube and digital platforms so i i'm trying to stay on point right so when you say like damn chance the rapper is is when we i say he's not independent it's because jimmy iveen took over apple music and apple music is just in a scope is like now under apple music right that's no never conversation right but the future of record
labels like you look at empire with ghazi and you know you look at world star now with we'll seeing them guys right these platforms are the new labels so the potential for us to scale profitability is creating the platform so now instead of math hoffa and shout out to math hoffa but instead of math having a patreon he's actually building a patreon okay instead of math hoffa having a youtube like a podcast on youtube that he shows have a whole thing he's writing shout outs right it's a website called lynda.com l-y-n-d-a.com it's another website called
pluralsight.com p-l-u-r-a-l-s-i-g-h-t pluralsight.com there's another website called udemy uh u-d-e-m-y and the last one is flutter okay so now these are the sites that teach you how to write code how to build your own systems so now if you we have to as a coach as a hip-hop coacher we have to invest more time in learning new skills so now if your your crew learns how to let me let me build if your crew if his crew if he knows how to edit videos if he knows how to um write code if he knows how to
do graphic design if he knows how to you know um understand an account and import getting you the cheapest goods right like we have to get infrastructure with the skill set then now we have the potential to make hundreds of millions of dollars independently with the skill set that's the same thing i just told you i got you but i don't want to be going to church i need to say like this is one of the most i think because of the diversity yeah of the guests on this show that it's been the most inspirational
and i'm gonna go back and i'm gonna watch this [ __ ] and i'm gonna figure out how to make tens of millions of dollars just from listening to this conversation let me and i hope that everybody that's watching right now i hope that you figure it out too i hope you see that these are successful black men sitting in a circle however there are levels there are levels and everything that came out of this conversation is inspiring me to find those levels i'm gonna tell you the next level right here cause we've already started
with it right uh ryan leslie came to us i was there you what i was in the room um i'm building the next apple music pretty much right now i can give it to everybody that wants it without a problem right and he built it for us you don't gotta have everybody you just gotta find the brothers that's out there that already have it and support those people right all that's built quality club and his main point wasn't about selling music because apple don't give a [ __ ] how many records y'all bought you know
what apple cares it was about cultivation right apple has that that mailing list yeah apple's mailing and they keep that from you right they don't give you that that mana list to say yeah because whenever you like a record apple goes if you like this so you you got a record on apple that's going platinum right but you don't know who's playing who's right well you know you don't know you don't know how to reach back out to those people and be like yo i got another album coming we but they do why we didn't
offer service to anybody else who comes through the door right and is willing to try to work a situation well we did that our mailing list 500 000 people and if you like this album you know what you're gonna like you're gonna like my next [ __ ] you don't want that you're gonna like these shirts these sweaters this hat jessica kid morse teaching poems not only that but for all of my top fans who promote my music you will also get a push a portion of every sale that you promote correct that's exactly how
it worked and you know what ryan leslie salute your loot ryan leslie and the genius and you know what quality club has been online for a decade now and i haven't and i i haven't taken advantage yet here's the crazy part right yeah shout out to ryan leslie apple came out spotify came out and it was like yo if you're gonna do this we're not [ __ ] with you like that he said well whatever you know what i'm saying we gonna do us and then they came back and they said all right well how
long do you need before you sell your own [ __ ] before we get it so we have it for a month straight to sell our people direct and then the rest of you [ __ ] apple and the spotifys and all that y'all don't get it you're ryan yeah yeah you're right that's how that's supposed to work when we start talking about and like i said you're right all of these [ __ ] have a skill you put all these [ __ ] together in the room you know what i'm saying right but if
you know [ __ ] out here that have skills if we need to support what we have like i said it's about these streets right here i'm telling you it's right outside your door right i know a [ __ ] on a block that do everything right ask him what he does for a living the [ __ ] will tell you he worked down at the rec center he's a [ __ ] school custodian nah it's cause we don't support each other and we out here wilding and justifying the [ __ ] out here don't
justify the [ __ ] if a [ __ ] [ __ ] up he [ __ ] up how cool we was if your nose is dirty i'm gonna tell you straight out fam you got a booger in your [ __ ] and i'm not worried about who heard it or who seen it what i need you to do is clean your [ __ ] nose all the rest of that [ __ ] man that [ __ ] don't know she going any one way out of me i don't want to hear excuses i want
to hear results i want to hear ways to do it i i want to hear how to make it happen all that because the [ __ ] did this and you know it's the these [ __ ] from the 69 [ __ ] that nigga's been dead fast and this system is dead and we know it already so you're gonna tell me that we're gonna live history see history read history and be foolish enough to repeat it because we're gonna justify it by using history that's not what king died for that's not why x got
killed that's not why these [ __ ] did what they did that's not what that's for we can't be out here talking about the [ __ ] did last year that's what we doing this year next year speaking of king king get that first this is the king seduction this is the new fragrance what's it called nem's already gave it to cosine hold on tell them if they need some afro yo you can put this in your hand you can put it in your head you know what i mean i would offer one to you
