all right so this video is going to be a little bit different I just hope that even if you take away 1% I hope this video can help you on your journey keep you inspired and moving forward every day for many of you English is just a skill something that you know you know it's important to learn but for me it was way more than that English literally saved my life I always knew I wanted more from life I didn't want to settle for being average maybe you feel the same way but coming from where
I did being average was the expected path but learning English changed everything for me if it were not for English I honestly don't know where I would be right now and I'm not a native speaker of course I had no one to tell me what to do or guide me through it and I figured it out on my own and to be honest I'm proud of that so before I learned English I didn't have a lot of friends I didn't really resonate with people in my hometown to be honest with you I didn't want much
to do with them and I felt disconnected out of place and constantly questioned if I was destined for more on top of that I was working a job that I hated just riding away every single day feeling stuck and far from being happy at that point the only thing that kept me going was the thought in the back of my mind that there had to be more out there for me somehow that I could change my life if I try hard enough I had these dreams of traveling the world you know helping my parents my
family and somehow make a difference in people's lives and you know but I didn't know exactly how to get there I just knew it had to be possible maybe you were in a similar position that I was and you're working hard you know you know you can do better and you have all these dreams that it just feels like Out Of Reach somehow but you know deep down then you that you can do more that you you can accomplish more in life and that was the moment that I realized that English was a huge step
forward to achieve those dreams it it became clear to me that that English was the getaway to more opportunities and so I dove in I started studying every day my first goal was to get accepted in colleges you know abroad so I knew it wasn't going to be easy I needed scholarships because honestly there's no way I would be able to afford everything at that point my English was in an intermediate level but I knew knew I could do more I knew I could get to the next level so I grinded every single day improving
my English writing essays practicing speaking just pushing forward you know to see what I could do eventually I did I got accepted I even won some scholarships and it felt like everything was falling into place I had worked so hard every single day to accomplish that and now the opportunity was right in front of me but then something hit me I realized that it wasn't for me even after all that hard work I couldn't see myself falling through with that path deep down I knew I had a big desire to help people in a different
way I just didn't want to follow the traditional route you know going to college and getting a degree I wanted to build something on my own to have a different and direct impact on people's lives that's when the idea of becoming an entrepreneur really started to take in root I knew I wanted I knew I wanted to help others not just by speaking English but by helping people that were going through the same thing that I went through and guiding them on their own Journeys so so I started this YouTube channel and every single day
I have this deep down sense of purpose I'm able to meet like-minded people who are on their own Journeys to become fluent building businesses and transforming their lives just like I once dreamed of doing it and to be honest it feels amazing before when I only spoke Portuguese none of this was possible I didn't have access to the world in the same way that I have right now I felt stuck skeptical about my future my life and to be honest there were moments when I didn't see a way out there were moments that I felt
like my problems were permanent and I could have made some really bad decisions for myself if I hadn't found the strength to push through it to be honest with you and I really think that I would not be here right now it would never know me I don't think you you would never really become aware of my exist distance if I hadn't learned English and you know what I mean like I don't think I would be alive that's the TR but learning English open doors that I never knew existed it gave me options and it
literally showed me that what seemed impossible wasn't really so far away I'll look back and think about learning English didn't give me just a skill it gave me a new life in a way and I believe it can do the same for you if you keep pushing keep striving and really never lose sight of that dream you have I really believe that and maybe like I said English is just a skill for some people it's just something that you used to be more successful in life and I agree with that for sure but in a
deeper level it really affect uh someone's life like it did with my life and it's crazy to think about that a language can really you know change your your entire life the course of your entire life it really is really fascinating it's crazy but but more than just opportunities learning English did something else for me something that I never expected really it gave me confidence now before I learned English I wasn't confident at all I was shy introvert the kind of person who avoid speaking up even in my own language I didn't like to be
the center of attention I didn't want to say the wrong thing and honestly I was always overthinking how others saw me and maybe you can relate to that because I know that most people go through this feel feeling like you're always in your your own head holding back from saying what you want to say because you're afraid of being judged growing up I was always that quiet kid in school I would sleep in the back of the class or even sometimes in the front of the class but you know I was always trying not to
get notice if the teacher called on me to answer a question my heart would start racing and I would just hope to get through without embarrassing myself even with my friends as you can imagine I was not the one leading ation I was more comfortable listening than speaking really and that's just how I was and afraid to stand out always blending into the background of everybody else's life but As I Grew Older and when I started to learn English something changed it didn't happen overnight of course but slowly as I practic I started to feel
more confident at first I still doubted myself I mean I wasn't just worry about what to say anymore now I I was worried about saying in a whole new language and but the more I practice the more I realized that it didn't have to be perfect and I learned that making mistakes was just part of the process and that was a huge shift for me because you're always afraid of making mistakes you're always afraid of being judged and once I realized that it was not about being perfect was about just communicate in a way that
people could understand you it was a huge shift for me I remember the first time that I had a full conversation in English with someone from another country I was nervous like really nervous but I pushed through it and you know what I wasn't perfect I stumbled you know over my words forgot a few things but it didn't matter really I got through it and that gave me a confidence boost like nothing else I realized that I could do it I could actually speak the language connect with people and get my message across even if
it wasn't Flawless the first time that I that I spoke English like out loud you know with someone else it was it was crazy it was just like my reality completely shift you know it was crazy because everything that I believed to be true it wasn't and I know that things were easier for me because the person that I talked to was really respectful and they didn't make fun of me or anything they just appreciated what I have done you know and the work that I had put in to actually you know improve myself and
and become fluent and Achieve that level and achieve a level that I was able to have a full conversation and each conversation that I had after that made me a little bit less afraid little by little I stopped caring so much about how I sounded or whether people would judge me I started focusing more on just expressing myself and with that my confidence started growing and not just in English but in everything I learning a new language pushed me out of my comfort zone in a way that nothing else had and to be honest with
you I completely changed my life like I said it was it was a GameChanger for me and to be honest with you if it wasn't for that if it wasn't for that moment that I had in my life I don't think I would have get out of my comfort zone the way that I did when I was learning English for the first time it also made me realize something really important important that confidence is not about being perfect it's about showing up and trying every single day even when you're scared and every time I put
myself out there even if I wasn't sure how I would go I was building that confidence muscle now I can walk into a room speak in English and not feel like I'm shrinking from the world I'm still an introvert I have to admit that but I'm not shy anymore I don't hide from the opportunities or conversations I take them on I go out there and I always see a conversation with someone as an opportunity to grow as an opportunity to go out there and show myself you know to actually put myself out there and show
people who I am so people can know me learning English taught me how to be confidence in myself and that's something that changed my life completely you show me that confidence isn't something you're born with it's something you build one small step at a time and like I said before I started learning English I was even more introvert that I am right now I would never had started this channel if I hadn't started learning English if I had not learned English I would never start this Channel and still even after I learned English and became
more confident I still was afraid to start this channel for example I was I was scared I was so scared but I was like you know I I have I have to help people I have to help people somehow I have to put myself out there so I just let it out I just knew I had to do something and I knew I had to to put myself out there to accomplish this this dream and this this goals and to to be honest with you before I started to learn English before I became fluent I
was depressed I I really didn't have any friends at all like I said before and I was so isolated from the world I didn't resonate with people that I went to high school with so I was kind of lonely know I my hometown is just kind of small so I didn't have a lot of opportunities there and it was it was a weird time and if it wasn't for English I would have never met at people that I'm friends now online you know from all over the world and they helped me they helped me changed
my mindset they helped me um fix my mental health and they literally saved me and all because of English because if it wasn't for English I would never be able to communicate with them it's just crazy now learning English just didn't give me opportunities or build my confidence it made me different it made me stand out from everybody else in ways that I would never expected where I came from not a lot of people speak English friendly and that alone sets me apart once it became noticeable that I knew English flly I noticed that people
started look at me differently with more respect in a way it wasn't just because I could speak another language it was because of of the work that went into it they could see that I wasn't just going through the motions like everybody else I was doing something extra something not many others were willing to do and because of that learning English also forced me to develop a crazy work ethic and if you have ever tried to learn a new language you know that is not easy you can't just learn a few words and call it
a day it takes hours of practice mistakes frustrations and you have to push forward when you don't feel like it and it's for me it wasn't just about learning a few phrases to get by it was about mastering it and that mindset shifted something inside of me I started applying the same discipline to other areas of my life waking up early to study you know staying up late to practice never setting for good enough it taught me to be resilient in a way the ability to keep going even when it felt impossible it was crazy
crazy crazy I also started absorbing content that changed my life before I learned English I was limited to what I was available in my own native language so and to be honest with you it wasn't a lot but once I had access to English A Whole New World of information opened up to me suddenly I was able to read books from one of the most successful and insightful people in the world and people who had already achieved what I dreamed of I remember when I read my first self-improvement book in English it completely changed how
I viewed my potential it was like someone turned on a light inside of me and from that moment on I became obsessed with learning books podcasts inter interviews speeches you name it it was everything I wanted to absorb everything I could so I could become somebody that I was proud of to achieve my full potential remember this channel here we focus on improve ourselves as a whole we want to learn English we want to become full in English but along with that we want to improve every aspect of Our Lives we want to use English
as a skill to improve everything else that's what I did and it wasn't just about consuming information it was about applying it I started learning from the best entrepreneurs thinkers leaders speakers people I would have had access to if I hadn't learned English this were not just lessons in business were success they were life lessons they taught me how to think differently in a way and how to approach problems how to build a mindset that could would handle challenges and setbacks each piece of content that I consumed gave me tools and pushed me ahead of
everybody else and While others were still stuck in the same routine same old habits with the same mindset I was driving I was I was improving every single day in a way learning English made me get ahead not just in language but in life it set me on a different path a path where I wasn't just fing what was expected of me but carving out my own Direction every single day it made resilience discipline and hungry for more and While others around me were okay with setting for Less I wanted more for myself and that
is what made me different in so many ways English wasn't just a skill to learn it became the get way to becoming the person that I am today because if it wasn't for English I don't know where I would be right now it gave me tools the knowledge and the confidence to keep pushing forward every single day to take risks and to stand out in a way that I never knew I would have if I had stayed in my comfort zone all this time I would never never in my my whole life be different than
all the people that I'm around if I if it wasn't for English if it wasn't for English I would not be here I'm serious I I went through a hard time in my life and like all these things that I just told you think about it I was in one of the worst positions in my life I didn't have anyone to talk to I didn't have any purpose I didn't know what to do and and after I learned English I became fluent had a purpose even though I made some mistakes like I you know spent
a few months or even a whole year preparing myself to apply to college to to go study in the US and got accepted and got some scholarships but you know didn't go enough scholarships to actually go without paying anything it wasn't for me and I realized that after I had accomplished and it's okay to it's okay to to to know that it's okay to be aware that it's not for you and it's okay to change your path it's okay to to change everything it's okay you know English made me get out of my comfort zone
made me not only because of the language because we got to go out there and speak with someone because of all the things that come with it the discipline the work ethic you know more networking more opportunities and all these things and if it was for English I would never be able to take advantage of these opportunities like I said my destiny was to be in a small town working a regular job and go to through the same path that everybody else went through but because of English I'm able to set me apart set me
on to another path a path that I'm proud of a path that I know if it wasn't for English I would never be able to follow so I hope you know we cover everything most of the things that I wanted to cover in this video is a different video I just wanted to tell you how English really saved my life and I really hope that inspired you to to really keep going and to actually change your life as well and if you found this really valuable let me know what you think and this was kind
of different because I really like to make my videos more structured in a way but this was more like just talking about the things that I went through and I really really hope that it inspired you to keep going and moving forward because the future looks bright and I see you very soon
