Mark confident in his authority refused the job to a talented black woman without even looking at her accomplishments he could not have imagined that soon he would be face to face with the same woman now the new HR Director ready to expose his biased actions internal conflicts power struggles and the unveiling of hidden racist practices this was a survival game where every decision could cost a career and reputation but you have no idea what happened next let's start from the very beginning Mark sat behind a large oak desk sifting through resumés of candidates for interviews
he was a middle-aged white man a hiring manager at a major corporation and always considered himself a champion of high standards behind this drive was a bias he didn't even recognize for him work was an opportunity to maintain an order that aligned with his vision of corporate culture when Amanda appeared at the door A young confident black woman Mark felt a wave of tension glancing at her resume he lingered on her name and photo longer than necessary his face darkened and he quickly placed the resume back on the desk Amanda entered confidently ready to Showcase
