[Music] slapstick theater David and Goliath this is David hey David was a Shepherd who lived in Bethlehem David was chosen by God to be the next king of Israel when he was just a boy but David had to wait a very long time until that promise would come true because there was another king of Israel named Saul Saul led the armies of Israel one day King Saul was with his Army near the valley of Ella on the other side of this Valley the Philistines the enemies of Israel gathered their army ready to fight the Philistines

had a Giant Warrior named Goliath Who challenged the Israelites hey Goliath spoke badly of God and his people he shouted and taunted them saying choose one man to come down here and fight me the Israelites and King Saul were very afraid meanwhile David's father sent David to bring some food to his brothers and their Captain Goliath came out of the Philistines Army and David heard him shout his usual mean taunts to the army of Israel who what as soon as the Israelites saw Goliath they began to run away in Fright see you David asked who

is this Philistine anyway that he has allowed to defy the armies of the Living God David's questions were reported to King Saul and the King sent for him hi David said don't worry about this Philistine I'll go fight him Saul said there's no way you can fight him and win you're only a boy wait but David told Saul that he had taken care of his father's sheep and rescued them from lions and bears then David declared the Lord who rescued me from the claws of the lion and bear will rescue me from this Philistine so

Saul said all right go ahead and may the Lord be with you David picked up five smooth stones from a stream then armed only with his Shepherd's staff and sling he started across the valley to fight Goliath when Goliath saw him coming he sneered at him and yelled bad things at David but David said you come to me with a sword Spear and Javelin but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven's armies Goliath moved closer to attack and David quickly ran out to meet him he hurled a stone from his

sling and hit Goliath in the forehead the stone sank in and Goliath stumbled and fell to the ground so David triumphed over the Philistine with only a sling and a stone for he had no sword but he knew the power of God and trusted God to win the battle against the giant slapstick theater Daniel in Nebuchadnezzar's Court this is Daniel oh hey who was a Jewish man who was taken to Babylon when he was very young the king of Babylon was a man named Nebuchadnezzar that's right and he ordered ashpenaz his chief of staff to

bring some of the young men of Judah who were strong healthy and goodlooking to the Palace you got it he wanted these men to be smart and they would be trained for 3 years in the language and books of Babylon so they could serve the king the king also ordered that they would be given food and drink from his own kitchens daily yep Daniel and his three friends Shadrach meac and abedo were four of the young men chosen from the tribe of Judah to enter the king's training but Daniel chose not to eat the food

and drink given by the king because it was food that God had told his people not to eat right Daniel asked ashpaz for permission not to eat this food ashpaz liked Daniel but he told him that he was a afraid that if Daniel didn't eat the food that the king ordered that he would become weak compared to the other young men and that would get ashpaz in trouble with the king sorry about that Daniel asked his attendant if he and his three friends could eat a diet of only vegetables and water for 10 days and

then be tested to see how they compared to the other young men the attendant agreed uh okay all right at the end of 10 days Daniel and his three friends looked healthier and better nourished than the young men who had been eating the King's food awesome so after that the attendant fed them only vegetables instead of the food and drink provided for the others God gave these four young men wisdom and a special understanding for things God gave Daniel the ability to interpret visions and dreams yeah when the 3 years of training was over all

the young men were brought before the king but no one impressed the king as much as Daniel Shadrach meak and abedo I like them so the four men entered the King's Service and whenever the king asked him about something he found them more capable than any of the other wise men in his kingdom [Music] slapstick theater Daniel and Nebuchadnezzar's dream this is Daniel oh hey who was a Jewish man who was taken to Babylon when he was very young Daniel served in the King's Service as a wise man yeah the king of Babylon was a

man named Nebuchadnezzar and one night he had such a disturbing dream that he couldn't sleep he called in some of the wise men of his kingdom and demanded that they tell him what he had dreamed the wise men said tell us the dream and we will tell you what it means but the king told them that they must tell him what the dream was and what it meant if they did they would be rewarded but if they didn't they would be severely punished uh the wise men asked again for the king to tell them what

the dream was and they would tell him what it meant now but the king wanted them to tell him what the dream was the wise men said that the King's request was impossible and that no one except the gods can tell someone a dream the King was Furious when he heard this and ordered that all the wise men of Babylon be killed because of the king's decree men were sent to find and kill Daniel and his friends when the men arrived Daniel asked why the king had ordered such a thing the men told Daniel what

happened with the King's dream and Daniel went at once to the king to ask for time to tell the king what is dream menant h fine then Daniel told his friends Shadrach meach and abedo to pray to God to show them the secret of the King's dream that night God showed Daniel the secret of the dream in a vision Daniel praised God for this and then was taken to the King come on Daniel said there are no wise men enchanters magicians or fortune tellers who can reveal the king's secret but there is a God in

heaven who reveals secrets and he has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in the future now I will tell you your dream and the Visions you saw as you lay on your bed and so Daniel told the king what his dream was and what it meant the king bowed before Daniel and praised him the king said to Daniel truly your God is the greatest of gods a revealer of mysteries for you have been able to reveal this secret then the king promoted Daniel to be the chief of all the wise men and also promoted his

friends Shadrach meach and abedo in the king's court slapstick theater Elijah on Mount Caramel this is Elijah hey Elijah was a prophet in Israel during the reign of King Ahab his job was to tell people what God wanted them to hear this is King Ahab ah whatever he came from a l of Kings who did bad things but King Ahab was the worst of them all he led the Israelites to do evil things as well and they turned away from God and started worshiping a fake God called baale God told Elijah to go speak with

Ahab Elijah told Ahab to bring all of Israel and the prophets of Baal to join them on Mount Caramel so Ahab did as a Elijah asked then Elijah stood in front of them and said if the Lord is God follow him but if baale is God then follow him but the people were completely silent Elijah called for two bulls and told the prophets of Baal that they could choose the one they wanted to sacrifice to Baal they could put it on the altar but not set fire to it Elijah said I will prepare the other

Bull and lay it on the wood wood on the altar but not set fire to it then call on the name of your God and I will call on the name of the Lord The God Who Answers by setting fire to the wood is the true God and all the people agreed yeah Elijah let the prophets of Baal go first all right you first they prepared the sacrifice and called on the name of Baal from morning till noon time shouting oh baale answer us but there was no reply of any kind hey Elijah began mocking

them you'll have to shout louder perhaps he is away on a trip or is asleep and needs to be wakened so they shouted louder and raved all afternoon until the evening but still there was no sound no reply no response hey man come here then Elijah called to the people they all crowded around him as he repaired the altar of God that had been torn down and dug a trench around the altar then he had some men pour water on the altar three times Elijah walked up to the Altar and prayed God prove today that

you are God in Israel and that I am your servant answer me so these people will know that you are God and that you have brought them back to yourself immediately the fire of the Lord flashed down from heaven and burned up the sacrifice the wood the stone and the dust it even licked up all the water in the trench and when all the people saw it they fell face down on the ground and cried out the Lord he is God yes the Lord is [Applause] God slapstick theater Esther's request to the [Music] King this

is hi who was a Jewish orphan who lived in Persia during the reign of King Xerxes Esther was adopted by her relative morai hey who worked in the Palace of the king once morai had even saved the King's life yep Esther became the queen of Persia but no one knew she was a Jew because morai told her to keep it a secret this is Haymon Who is the second most powerful man in Persia Haymon hated morai because morai wouldn't bow down to him so hmon convinced King Xerxes to make a decree to kill all mori's

people the Jews when morai learned about this he was very upset as were all the Jews in Persia when Queen Esther's servants came and told her about how upset morai was she sent one of her servants haac to go go to morai and find out what was troubling him so haac went out to morai and morai told him of the plan to kill God's people morai said that he wanted Esther to go to the king to ask for him to save the Jews Esther knew that anyone who went to the king without being called could

be put to death but morai reminded Esther that she may have been made Queen for such a time as this so Esther asked for the Jews to fast for 3 days then Esther put on her royal robes and went before the king when the king saw Esther he was happy to see her and asked what do you want Queen Esther I will give it to you even if it's half the Kingdom so Esther asked the king if he and hmon would come to a banquet that she had prepared for them and the King agreed Esther

held a banquet and then asked the king and hmon to come to a second banquet the next night that night the King was reminded of how morai had once saved his life King Xerxes decided that he must honor morai and that hmon would help huh then at the second banquet Esther told the king about the plot against her people the king was angry and asked who would do such a thing Esther said it was hmon and the King ordered hmon to be killed on that very night uh-oh but the decree to kill all the Jews

was still in place and the Jews were still in danger so morai asked the king to issue a new decree so that the Jews could defend themselves the king did and the Jews defeated all their enemies God's people were saved and celebrated their great [Music] Victory slapstick theater Gideon's 300 men this is Gideon hey who was a judge of Israel in the time when Gideon lived a group of people called the midianites were taking over the Israelites land get out of here and the Israelites were starving so the Israelites asked God for help God chose

Gideon to rescue the Israelites hey everybody W and gave him the power to lead an army of Israelites yeah one day Gideon and his army got up early and came close to the midianite camp God told Gideon that he had too many warriors with him really so God told Gideon to let all the men who were scared go home all right uh you can go home so 22,000 men went home and and Gideon was left with only 10,000 but God told Gideon that he still had too many men with him uh what really he told

Gideon to bring the men down to the water and that God would give them a test okay Gideon did as God asked and then God said divide the men in two groups in one group put all those who cup water in their hands and lap it up with their tongues like dogs in the other group put those who kneel down and drink with their mouths in the Stream only 300 men drank from their hands God told Gideon with these 300 men I will rescue you and give you victory over the midianites send all the others

home so Gideon did as God said you can go home that night God told Gideon to get up and go down to the camp to listen to what the midianites were saying hey purah let's go Gideon and his servant purah went down to the camp and saw the huge Army there were too many men and camels for Gideon to even count who that's a lot of camels but Gideon heard a soldier telling another man about a dream he had that showed them that God would give Gideon victory over the midianites when Gideon heard this he

worshiped God come on then Gideon and his army of 300 men went down to the midianite camp they blew their horns and held torches in their hands they yelled out and the midianite soldiers rushed around in a panic and tried to escape then God caused the midianites to start fighting against each other because of God's power Gideon and his army had victory over the midianites that day slapstick theater Hannah and God this is Hannah hi Hannah was married to a man named elaa hey but they were not able to have any children this made Hannah

sad a it's okay come on every year Hannah and elaa would go to the house of the Lord at Shiloh to pray to God and offer sacrifices Hannah would cry out and pray to the Lord she told God that if he gave her a son she would give him back to him and that her son would serve God all the days of his [Music] life Hannah was so upset that one of the priests Eli thought there was something off about her uh but Hannah told him that she had been praying because she had a broken

broken heart Eli told her May the god of Israel Grant the request you've made thank you and then Hannah was no longer sad in due time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son yeah she named him Samuel for she said I asked the Lord for him Hannah did as she said she would and once Samuel was a little older she took him to the temple Hannah prayed and gave thanks to God and Samuel grew up in the temple serving the [Music] lord slapstick theater Jesus the True Vine This is Jesus heyo who is

the Son of God and the savior of the world while Jesus was on Earth he healed many people from their sickness and did many miracles like walking on water oh hey guys at this time the Jewish people were celebrating a festival called Passover that had been celebrated since the time of Moses when God brought his people out of Egypt Jesus went to Jerusalem to celebrate yeah Jesus and his disciples were having the Passover meal together Jesus told them many things of what was to come and the trials they would face then Jesus told his disciples

that he is like the true grape vine and God is the gardener God will cut off any branch that doesn't produce fruit he will also prune a branch so it can produce more fruit Jesus told his disciples that God had already done this to them because of what Jesus had taught them Jesus said remain in me and I will remain with you for a branch cannot produce fruit if it is cut off from the Vine then he said yes I am the vine and you are the branches he told them that if they continue to

have a relationship with him they would produce much fruit but if they didn't continue to have a relationship with him they would wither away branches that wither away like that are thrown into the fire Jesus said that if his disciples remained in him that they would be able to ask anything in jesus' name and it would be given they would bear much fruit and this would bring great glory to God then Jesus said that he loved his disciples as God the father loved him he told his disciples to remain in his love by obeying his

Commandments then he gave them a new commandment to love each other in the same way that he loved them Jesus told his disciples that they were his friends he said there is no greater love than to lay down one's life life for one's friends he told them all this so that they would have great [Music] joy slapstick theater Jesus visits Mary and Martha this is Jesus heyo who is the Son of God and the savior of the world while Jesus was on Earth he healed many people from their sickness and did many miracles like walking

on water oh hey guys Jesus was traveling to Jerusalem with his disciples and they came to a village where a woman named Martha welcomed them into her home hey everyone while Jesus was there Martha's Sister Mary sat at Jesus's feet and listened to him while he taught but Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing she came to Jesus and said doesn't it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work tell her to come and help me but Jesus said to her my dear Martha you

are worried and upset over all these details there is only one thing worth being concerned about Mary has discovered it and it will not be taken away from [Music] her slapstick theater John's letter about love this is John he there John was a disciple of Jesus he heard Jesus's teaching H yeah and saw how much Jesus loved people wow John spent the rest of his life telling others about Jesus John wrote letters to people who believed in Jesus to encourage them and teach them h in one of his letters he wrote about real love he

said that we know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us so we should do the same for others if someone has enough money to live well and sees another in need but doesn't help uh see how can God's love really be in that person John said let's not merely say that we love each other but let's show our love for people through our [Music] actions slapstick theater the parable of the three servants this is Jesus heyo who is the Son of God and the savior of the world while Jesus was

on Earth he healed many people from their sickness and did many miracles like walking on water oh hang on Jesus was sitting at the Mount of Olives with his disciples and teaching them about the kingdom of God Jesus told his disciples a story he told them that the Kingdom of Heaven would be like a man going on a trip who asked three servants to take care of his money the man gave each of his servants different amounts of money according to their ability to one of his servants he gave five bags of money he gave

another two bags and he gave the third servant one bag of money then he went on his trip see you the man who had been given five bags of money invested the money and gained five more bags right the servant with two bags of money did the same and got two more bags of money woohoo but the man who had one bag of money put it in a hole and hid the money after a long time the man came back from his trip and checked in with his servants to see what they had done with

his money the servant who was given five bags of money showed that he had gained five more and the man said well done good and faithful servant you did well with small things so I will let you care for much greater things yeah then the servant with two bags of money showed that he had gained two more and the man was happy and said well done to the servant thank God then the servant who had hid the money showed the man the one bag of money and said that he had hidden it because he was

afraid a the man said you Wicked lazy servant he said that he should have at least put the money in the bank to get interest then he threw out the servant so he would serve him no more and the man took the money from the servant and gave it to the servant with 10 bags for he said everyone who uses what he has will get more he will have much more than he needs but the one who does not use what he has will have everything taken away from him slapstick theater Paul and Silas this

is Paul hey who told people about Jesus in lots of different places one day Paul was walking with his friend Silas hey yo there were being followed by a girl who was controlled by an evil spirit her owners used her to make money after days and days of this happening Paul got so annoyed that he turned around and told the evil spirit to leave her so the girl was freed woohoo but her owners got mad at Paul and Silas because they wouldn't make any money off of her anymore and they had them thrown in jail

the jailer loost locked them up oh man around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing to God and the other prisoners were listening suddenly there was an earthquake and the chains of all the prisoners fell off oh what just happened but Paul and Silas didn't leave even though they could have several people decided to follow Jesus that night including the Jailer and his whole family and the next morning they were released from jail and the city officials even apologized to them sorry about that Paul and Silas encouraged the Christians in the town and they

continued on their mission to tell people about Jesus see [Music] you slapstick theater Peter escapes from prison this is Peter hey who was one of Jesus's disciples yep Peter told people about Jesus there was a king named Herod who tried to stop anyone who tried to tell others about Jesus he arrested Peter and took him to jail to be executed while Peter was in prison the people of the church prayed for him the Night Before Peter was supposed to go to trial he was sleeping suddenly an angel of the Lord stood before him the angel

woke Peter up and said quick get up the chains fell off Peter's wrists wow then the angel told him to get up and get ready to go and to follow him so Peter left the cell but all the time he thought was happening wasn't real and that it was just a vision they passed by the guards and when they came to the Iron Gate it opened for them on its own wow awesome they were walking through the street when the angel suddenly left him wait what did happen Peter finally realized that this was all really

happening and that God had sent an angel to save him from what King Herod and the Jewish leaders had planned to do to him wow he went to the home of Mary where many Believers were together praying when Peter knocked at the door a servant girl came to answer hey uh let me in Peter when she realized it was Peter she was so exced decided that she ran inside to tell people instead of letting Peter in ah I'm sure her it's Peter the people inside thought the girl was wrong and said it must be Peter's

Angel but Peter kept knocking when the people finally open the door they were amazed Peter told them about what happened and all about how God sent an angel to rescue him from prison
