Y'all, while most cleaning businesses were begging for bookings, I had a wait list. Clients are literally messaging us, calling us, asking if there's any way for us to be able to squeeze them in. Even with our higher rate clients, you guys, we try to aim for top dollar clients, not bottom of the barrel type of client, y'all.
And this didn't happen by luck or accident. It happened because I built this ondemand system. It's a system that never depends on me actually personally doing the cleaning.
Now, I want to break this down to you guys exactly how I was able to do this and hopefully you'll be able to put the same system in place for this upcoming holiday demand. Okay, you guys. Now, step number one, the first thing that you're going to want to do is brand position.
Okay, understanding that you guys, the goal is not to to sell cleaning, right? There's so many companies selling cleaning. This is why people are so afraid and they think that this industry is oversaturated, but we're not selling cleaning.
Sounds weird, right? But what we're actually selling, you guys, is convenience. That's the key word here.
Your brand has to speak to that. Your messaging, your logo, your images, your reviews, your cleaners, the type of cleaners you hire have to all be able to speak one message about your company. We're not just cleaning clean.
We're not just selling cleaning services because if that's the case, then they can just jump to any other company there is, but we have to be able to stand out in the midst of all of these other companies and understand what is our brand messaging. Then you want to make sure that you are positioning your company to be seen. It's one thing to just have your company just and you just hope and expect people to find you.
But the goal is to position your company in a place to where people are actually looking for you, right? in the place where these individuals are actually going searching for cleaning services such as Google, such as Yelp, such as Thumbtac, such as Bark, right? Positioning is important.
If your business looks organized, people will be able to trust you faster. But they look at your information and it looks like chicken scratch, then they might be questioning if they can trust your company or not. Now, let's talk about step number two.
How to build that holiday demand. Okay, every high demand moment in the market is predictable. Okay, whether it's moving season, whether it's holiday season, okay, spring cleaning season, deep cleaning season, we all know these time of the years and when they're going to come around.
So, let's not act surprised of us like, "Oh my god, this just popped up on me. " I will publicly mark my calendars, let everybody know that we serve business with them. Let them know like, "Hey, you guys, the demand is coming.
" I let them know that there's a demand that's happening because they may just be worried about their own concerns like, "Oh, I need to get my home clean because of or before X, Y, and Z. " But just like they need to, there's also several other companies and several other people that also had the need of getting their home clean. Then it sets aside, it sets in place a certain level of urgency just for you.
You have a couple of spots left for everybody. So, it puts them in the urgency to want to hurry up and book and set in their dates and time. The goal, you guys, is not to chase clients.
I wasn't chasing clients, right? They were coming to us because of how we positioned our company to be found and also to be trusted. Now, a lot of people that I talked to, you guys love using posting their businesses as a marketing plan.
You guys, if you ever think about that being a marketing plan, that is very wrong. Okay, step number four is partnership over post. You guys, when we post on Facebook groups or post in that is by happen, that is by luck.
That is not a real strategy. So the goal is to be able to partner your company with the aligned companies and and service providers that need your services also that are also in a similar high demand predicament such as real estate agents, such as property manager companies, such as moving companies. Okay?
And depending on your niche and how deep you want to go, maybe that's also party planners, right? Maybe that's also event planners. Maybe that's corporate event planning because homes and individuals, they're not the only one throwing Christmas parties at the house down the street.
Think about corporate companies that are are planning holiday parties right now. And whether or not they're hosting that holiday party in office or they're hosting at a community center on an event center or a hotel, it's going to need cleaning. Okay.
So when we think about these partnerships, this actually puts us in an alignment with individuals and companies that also rely on our services during this high demand time. Not as just posting and hoping that somebody will see our post and needing our services. This is smart positioning.
This is positioning for profit. Now you guys look here's the part where most entrepreneurs get it wrong because they create the interest but they don't have the infrastructure. I get a chance and opportunity to view a lot of cleaning companies booking platforms or websites and the number one thing that I'm always looking for is do they offer instant booking.
Okay, majority of the time what I'm seeing is where an individual that's interested in their services need to call for a quote, email for a quote, text for a quote, fill out a form for a quote. and understanding you guys that yes, that is the old school way and I'm not saying it doesn't work, but it does move much slower than being able to view their prices and be able to book instantly. This is the infrastructure that needs to be put in place because while they're trying to book and find somebody, if you can't respond to them fast enough or get that quote back to them in adequate time, then guess what?
They're going to move on to another company that can provide the same level of service that we are saying. Now we offer, right? So we want to make sure that we have the infrastructure put in place so that way as we're building the interest, as we're bringing all the people into our site, we don't want to just bring them in and and our net has holes.
That's what happens when we don't have options on there for instant booking. We're we're we're fishing for clients, okay? But we have holes in our nets and they're just falling and dripping away.
So all of our efforts and our marketing dollars are now being wasted. Now you guys want to understand what separates oursel from somebody else. It's that credibility, that credibility trigger.
Okay? What makes somebody want to choose us over somebody else? You guys, it is our social proof.
It is our promise to provide them with a service not only that we say we can provide but also out of the words out of the mouth of other people. Right? Social proof creates that credibility that me just telling them that we can provide an excellent service isn't just going to do it.
But now if they're trying to determine if they can trust us or not, right? Because understand you guys that people don't just book cleaning services just because we say we do a good job, right? They're going to book cleaning services and cleaning companies off of people that they can trust, that they know they're going to do a good job.
The last thing somebody wants to do is book a cleaning service hoping and praying that they come home and the job is done inadequate or is done properly. Right? Word.
The last thing somebody want to do is book a cleaning service hoping and praying that they did a good job and they didn't miss anything. Right? So when they're trying to book with us, they're able to see our reviews.
You guys, local service based industry needs reviews like we need water. It is so vital. They tell their potential client, hey, you can trust them.
and they did such a good job on my house that I can't wait to book again. And I strongly suggest you do the same thing. Now, during this holiday season, if you are trying to position yourself like a CEO and not a solo cleaner or just you want to make sure that you have your cleaning teams and they're ready to go, you want to make sure that they're fully onboarded, that they're properly insured.
If not, please, you guys get insured. Get your cleaners to be insured. This is going to give you a level of peace of mind like never before.
Okay? Um, I I always recommend Next Insurance. This cleaning this insurance company, they especially work with cleaning companies, you guys.
Okay? And when my cleaners don't have insurance, I be like, "Hey, go through Next Insurance because this is going to give you a piece of mind. Can you imagine a cleaner going into an home and spilling red wine on like marble countertops?
It's going to stain. You don't want to deal with the outburst of that versus just having the proper insurance play so that way everything can be taken care of. " Okay.
Now you guys understand that with that too, you want to make sure that your systems are put in place, your booking systems and your follow-up system because not everybody's going to book the same time. Sometimes people are just fishing for quotes. And if that is the case, you want to make sure that you are capturing those leads so you can properly follow up.
Sometimes it takes touch points for somebody to make a buying decision. So if they come onto your website one time and you do not have the proper infrastructure to follow up with those individuals, then again you have holes in your net and you are losing leads. So you want to make sure that you have some sort of Facebook retargeting ad.
Your pixel is on your website so they know when people are visiting and they can go ahead and and and counter offer and double tap them be like, "Hey, remember us? Come back and book. " Okay?
or you have some kind of follow-up nurturing scene system that's set in place with AI to where they're able to follow up with leads by texts or emails or automated calls from an AI bot. We use cleaning biz AI that will be able to follow up with those leads. So that way you don't miss out and you're not having all these holes in your net.
So, while everybody is out here trying and hoping and praying that they're going to get booked during this upcoming holiday season, you guys will be able to put this system into place to make sure that you don't have any holes in your neck. And not only will you be booked out, but you would have a weight list. Okay?
Now, one thing you can do to even avoid a weight list, I love a weight list much the next person, but the one thing that you can do is make sure you have enough cleaning staff. The one thing I hate doing is saying no to clients. And if you make sure you start hiring now versus when the demand is here, this is how you work as a CEO.
You prepare for the demand versus just waiting for it to happen. Like, well, I need the extra cleaners. Let me tell you, yes, you will.
So, go ahead and start preparing your business for this high demand. That way, you can even avoid a wait list. Let's just go ahead and get booked and be busy and be blessed during this upcoming holiday season.
So, I hope these tips work you guys. Make sure that you like, share, and subscribe. And I'll see you in the next video.
