How They Went From $300 To $30 Million/Year

this is Alex and Bruno and they've created one of the fastest growing clothing brands in the world so I came all the way out here to Barcelona to spend a day with them and learn exactly how they did it let's [Music] go hey so how much in Revenue did you guys bring in last year with new project we did a little under $30 million last year that's crazy and how old are you guys for 23 and 24 and how many years ago did you guys start this company we just did a 5ye anniversary which is

why we brought you over here cuz we're going to do something very special for the 5 years and yeah we started when we were 1819 no yeah we literally started in University selling T-shirts and hoodies to our friends we made our first video it went great on social media and from there on everything just started wow so you guys literally started this out of like a dorm room or something it's like the like the typical American story in a way you know when we watch over like American movies it's like yo Steve Jobs started in

the garage and he was able to build it we're like [ __ ] it's kind of like what we did in in some way and how many stores do you guys have now right now we have seven no we just opened one so it's we're eight we've got stores in Madrid Barcelona Valencia Milan Lisbon and we just open in I and this is all in just 5 years this is in 5 years and a lot of stress hard work and less hair every day let's go back to the beginning like how much money did you

guys start this with cuz even to get a rack of samples like this is like thousands thousands of dollars like how much money did you guys start with and what was it like designing that very first piece I'll be super honest okay in the beginning we did we were college kids we he put €300 in and I put €300 in which at the time was like a risk cuz it was like [ __ ] this we're taking this seriously you know we're we're going to become business partners let's do it half half and that gave

us enough money to be able to produce the first 20 t-shirts we did and from there on we sold the 20 t-shirts we got more money and we were able to reinvest fashion is a cool business because if you're starting off small it doesn't have huge operating costs so you can kind of just reinvest and reinvest and to this day we've bootstrapped the company to the point it is now we have no investors it's all me and Alex and we've been able to reinvest all the money and make it happen Alex do you think that

clothing is a business that anybody could get started with today uh I think it's one of the businesses with less entry barriers for what Bruno said and we were able to to create that Snowball Effect when we were buying more t-shirts as as you sold them as we sold them but it's also a very competitive market I think there are many many many clothing brands starting out nowadays so it's very very difficult to differentiate yourself but there's obviously opportunity if you do it well I would say don't start cuz I don't want no more competition

[Music] this okay it feels a bit empty but it's empty for a reason these people make sure that the campaigns and the shootings happen and go along right now they just flew to EA which is where we're going to be going eventually I don't know about can I tell him yeah of course okay so we're going to be going to vaa tomorrow cuz we're doing the biggest project we've ever done which is we're bringing to life the new project mansion I'm excited man these boys literally just did a huge collab with Playboy and they're going

amazing but yesterday was a holiday in Spain so usually people like to relax and have fun during the holiday and not shop as much on off day that's not too bad bro we keep going we have to keep going it's not all fun and laughs we work a lot we have a lot of seniority we're hiring also in the company because Alex and me realized that we're so there's so many things we don't know that's one of the biggest lessons I take away from hanging out with you guys is even since day one you've been

like that cuz you working with him is filling gaps that you can't fill and vice versa so I think it is important to know superficially about everything a little bit but then be able to support yourself with people that know way more than you is like Alex he's the CEO of the company he runs all the business he's a serious man he does the operations and I'm doing more of the creative aspect I think it's important to know you're not good at because being self-aware is what's going to take you far well you guys are

doing great so far and we got something big coming up but because we're going TOA we got a little bit of a problem small problem what's wrong my boy tail here my rightand man here I think we got to help my boy get Fly for a Visa cuz right now what is what is this style if we would say this is my comfy style comfy filming type of guy I'm behind the lens I don't have to show off it's you know we have to do something special I think we're going to get you makeover if

we did this in collaboration with with Playboy we reinterpret the mansion that happened like 50 years ago and here we placed an epic Fountain we built this just for the for these two weeks really the details is crazy they changed pretty much everything about this house to make it the nude project Mansion you can't beat this view [Music] man DJs and you got the logo in the pool bro that logo from here it looks small but we had it in the office and it was like 5 m why like it it's huge you have a

store over here popup shop take him take him oh so you just installed a full store at the house the room so you can choose anything you like it's for you wow bro thank you for having us here man this is crazy we going to have the time of our life for I need to get dressed like you so let me change up and let's hang out D me yeah they did a good job I would say this is got to be the craziest thing we've seen in all the last couple years of film and

stuff these boys in their young 20s are running a multi-a figure business in one of the coolest ways I've seen I've got friends that are like doing business and it's cool and they make a lot of money but these guys are dope because because they're doing what they love and they're creating very authentically and they're still able to make all this bread that just goes to show man like you don't have to do the same thing as everybody else you can take it your way create what you love and get paid doing it but what

I think first of all people shouldn't either idolize or um glorify any situation because I think it's very easy to be able to see this [ __ ] house see the people we have here and be like oh everything must be a movie they're going out making money doing amazing things and there's a beautiful aspect to it which is we are having a lot of fun but when I'm not having fun I'm working and making this all happen creating this like five star situation of a luxury hotel for our friends taking care of them organizing

them to get from the airport to here from here to the boat all this is not as easy as it seems so we are working and the message further than this to society and what I would like to give is dude comparison is not cool like we all suffer from comparison we all are on social media scroll through Tik tok's going through Instagram and there's always with someone with a better house there's always someone with cooler hair this case me there's always someone that has more money there's always someone that is taller that is more

handsome so I think comparison destroys personality and that's the biggest thing I'm trying to learn and I'm trying to really ingrain in my body which is dude compare yourself to you and try to be a better you every day and that's what's going to keep you going keep you happy and motivated don't try to compare yourself to people cuz you'll always end up losing it's a powerful exercise and also celebrating your friend success like when I see y'all winning of my other friends winning it makes me happy and it tells me that hey if they

doing that I could do it too and to celebrate your success I got you another gift you're joking you're joking I got you another gift my boy check me out now we hit it first of all you already gave me the best gift I've gotten in my life so there's two of these one for you and one for Alex oh my okay okay I'm like kind of nervous what what we got some more vintage play from the 70s no this is actually from the 70s the Vintage Playboy smoker what you're [ __ ] with me
