ClickBank for Beginners: How to Get Started in Under 15 Minutes | 2023 ClickBank Tutorial

right here right where you're at right now learning the basics of ClickBank and how the ecosystem of affiliate marketing works so you're about to take the first step towards building a future and a business for yourself that can continue to grow exponentially so ready to get started let's Dive In okay the very first thing that we're going to do is create your ClickBank account let's get started go to clickbank.com and click on the start here button you'll be asked to answer a few questions that help us tailor your experience on ClickBank but if you'd rather

skip this step simply press the skip button that will take you directly to our signup form when you reach the sign up form simply enter your country name phone number email address and a password once you've read the terms and conditions click the join ClickBank button you'll see a prompt to download What's called a suppression list now there's no need to worry about that yet this is more for advanced Affiliates looking to Market through their email lists so once you've downloaded and saved the file you're now officially logged into your ClickBank account but we're not

done yet you'll notice a prompt asking you to complete your profile click this prompt and continue filling out the fields including your recovery email your home or business address and how you'd like to be paid the payee name is essentially who ClickBank will be making the checks out to so this can simply be your name or a business name if you have one you'll also need to fill out your tax ID which for most people is simply your social security number if you'd like to learn more about payee names and tax IDs click the question

mark icons next to the prompts to read a little bit more next you'll see an Optimizer performance drop down menu here you'll want to select promote products as an affiliate and select your annual revenue as 0 to 25k if you're just starting out or if you're more advanced select the appropriate Revenue threshold next click save and you should be taken back to your account dashboard next up you'll need to create your nickname account your nickname is a unique identifier that allows ClickBank to accurately track and pay you as an affiliate click the create my account

nickname button on the home screen to begin creating your nickname click the create an account button and select affiliate promote products drop down from the account type now type in your desired account nickname our recommendations for nicknames keep it simple and professional also note that these nicknames cannot be changed once created now simply click sign up to finalize your nickname you'll now be brought back to your account dashboard the last step in completing your profile is adding your tax ID to your nickname account click accounts on the left hand menu then click your nickname you'll

then see another yellow prompt asking you to confirm your email address click Send a confirmation email to your email address log into your email click the confirmation link and officially associate your email to your ClickBank account and lastly let's set up how you'd like to be paid click the account settings tab at the top scroll down to payment information and then click edit from here you can select your payment threshold payment method and payment frequency payment threshold tells ClickBank when to pay you once you've reached a certain dollar amount for example if you select the

hundred dollars ClickBank will not pay you until you've reached a hundred dollars in commissions now the two main types of payment methods ClickBank offers are direct deposit or physical check in the mail if choosing direct deposit input your bank information below if you chose check confirm that the mailing address is where you'd like to receive your checks now select your payment frequency or simply put how often you want to get paid and guys that's it pretty simple right your account has successfully been created you are officially ready to start promoting products and making money online

now this is where the fun really begins so next up let's take a look at the marketplace now the marketplace is where you can find thousands of high converting products to promote some of which can pay you up to 135 dollars per sale crazy right you can search by product categories payouts conversions and a ton of other filters to help you find exactly what you're looking for and if you don't know what products to look for the marketplace can even show you the most popular products other Affiliates are promoting and having success with which is

a super cool feature when you don't know what to promote selecting the right products to promote is probably one of the most important steps in becoming a profitable affiliate marketer but for now let's just get you comfortable navigating the marketplace and exploring the products we have to offer so from your account dashboard click on the affiliate Marketplace icon in the main menu on the left this is the ClickBank marketplace right away you'll notice the search bar at the top of the screen this is where you can search for products by keywords like pets or weight

loss you can search for specific products by name something like Ted's Woodworking for example or simply leave the search bar blank to show the top products on ClickBank which are ranked by popularity now if you're looking to make the most money possible with the highest converting products promoting a top product is a great place to start you can also search the marketplace by categories on the left of the marketplace home screen you'll see all of the product categories ClickBank has to offer this is a great way to explore products based on a niche you're looking

to promote in your own personal interests or simply browse the wide variety of categories ClickBank has to offer and guys I can't stress this enough please spend some time exploring the marketplace picking the right Niche is one of the most important steps in your affiliate Journey so click around do your research and honestly just explore the marketplace and really think about the types of products you want to promote after you've explored the marketplace and maybe found a couple products you might be interested in let's learn how to understand if those products are actually the right

fit for you the best way to do this is by looking at the product listing here's an example of a product listed on the ClickBank Marketplace called alpalene the first thing you'll notice is the product name and description the name is pretty self-explanatory but these descriptions are typically written to you as the unaffiliate not a description of what the product is and it's basically why you should care about this product or promote it next you'll see the average dollar per conversion metric this is the average dollar value Affiliates are making per sale when promoting this

product so if you can convince someone on the internet to click your link and buy this product this is the amount of money you can expect to receive next you'll see what's called an affiliate page and a support contact the affiliate page is a great resource for Affiliates looking to get a jump start on promoting a product you'll find things like top converting email templates Facebook ad Resources Commission details and honestly everything else you need to start selling reading through each product's affiliate page is one of the fastest ways to get started promoting if you

have questions that the affiliate page doesn't answer the affiliate support contact is a great next step to finding the help that you need next you'll notice a stats and category section this is where you'll find the gravity score of a product now the ClickBank gravity score I'm sure you've heard about from gurus online and everyone wonders what it's about but let me just tell it to you guys straight it's basically how many sales are being made and by how many Affiliates so a very high gravity score means a lot of Affiliates are promoting this and

seeing success so high gravity score proves that the product converts well but also indicates that a ton of Affiliates are promoting it lower gravity score means less Affiliates are promoting it but could also mean less competition for you and your efforts there is no perfect number when it comes to gravity but if you're just starting out we recommend sticking to products with medium to higher gravity scores lastly and most importantly you'll see a big blue promote button this is how you're going to generate your unique affiliate link that you'll use for all of your promotions

the next lesson we're going to cover everything you need to know about creating testing and using your very first affiliate link so now that we've explored the marketplace and all of the different products to promote let's create your very first affiliate link but first you're probably asking what exactly is an affiliate link and why is it important in layman's terms an affiliate link is a unique link that is generated specifically for you to use in your promotions so if a customer clicks your affiliate link and purchases the product that you're promoting ClickBank knows to pay

you for the sale you just made basically it ensures that you always get paid for your efforts something to note here too there are multiple terminologies or multiple names that we've called these links and your account sometimes you'll see them called hoplink sometimes you'll see them referred to as tracking links Guys these all mean the same thing and it's basically your own unique link to earn you commissions so let's learn how to create your very first one let's go back to the alpalene listing on the marketplace click the blue promote button on the product listing

and you'll notice a pop-up window up here this is your affiliate link generator for this product all you need to do is enter your nickname and then click that generate button and boom you have your very own affiliate link this is your very first one now you'll notice that the link is encrypted at ClickBank we encrypt all of our affiliate links to make sure other Affiliates can't use spy tools to steal and copy your efforts you can easily copy the link by hitting the button on the right or highlighting and copying the actual text in

the field and that's it this is what you're going to use for all of your promotions and guys don't worry if you lose this because you can always go back to the product listing and generate a new one now let's test your tracking link to make sure that you get paid whenever a customer purchases from your link simply copy your tracking link from the generator and paste it into a new browser window you are now on the product sales page scroll down and find the buy now or purchase Now button and then click that you'll

now notice you are on an order form scroll down to the bottom of the order form and you will see a stamp marked affiliate equals followed by an encrypted value copy the encrypted value but leave out the fillet equals part now return back to your ClickBank dashboard and then click the hoplink tools item on the menu select the decode tab paste that encrypted value into the encrypted hoplink ID field click decode and this should show your affiliate ID and the account nickname of the seller you're promoting if you see affiliate equals none try copying your

tracking link from the generator again and retrying the process make sure you test every single tracking link you use to make sure you get paid for every sale you generate and that's it you've created your first affiliate tracking link and learned how to test it to make sure it's working properly so you get paid every time you get a sale now it's time for the fun stuff let's talk about generating traffic and making sales okay so the easy stuff is done you created your account support the marketplace created your link and honestly I just want

to say congrats because you've already made it further than most new ClickBank Affiliates ever do and believe it or not most people skip these super simple and important steps and wonder why they aren't making money but now the fun begins because the next step in your affiliate journey is learning how to generate traffic and make sales driving traffic is the single most important thing you're gonna need to learn how to do as an affiliate and by driving traffic I mean getting people to click on your affiliate link and purchase so how do you do it

first you need to know what type of traffic you want to generate now there are two main types of traffic free traffic and paid traffic free traffic is exactly what it sounds like it's like posting content on Tick Tock Instagram social media or writing blog post to rank in Google using Pinterest and the list goes on it doesn't cost any money to post on these platforms and over time you can build an audience and gain exposure to more and more people which is what we call generating traffic upside is that it's free the downside is

that this can take a bit of time it's not something you build overnight on the other hand paid traffic is the complete opposite you pay money up front but your time to success is much quicker So Paid traffic are things like Facebook ads YouTube ads native ads Google search results basically any form of advertisement that is going to generate traffic to your affiliate link again pay money up front but the time to success is much quicker than free traffic so the big question is what do you have more of time or money if you have

plenty of time but are short on cash getting started with free traffic is the best way to go if you need this to work fast on the other hand and are willing to invest money up front paid traffic is the method you should choose now let's set some expectations affiliate marketing is not a get rich quick scheme even though there's tons of gurus out there that promise to make you rich overnight that's not how it works you need to dedicate some time effort and energy into this and if you're actually serious about making this a
