God threw Satan Out of Heaven because of his sin and Rebellion Jesus said he saw Satan fall from Heaven like lightning but why didn't God just kill Satan and banish him for good why does Satan still exist in today's Bible study we will be uncovering the truth behind why God cannot and will not kill Satan or his Fallen Angels Satan is a well-known biblical figure in modern society what most people do not know however is that the word Satan means adversary or enemy it can also mean Fallen one notice that his name is not the
one who fell but rather a fallen one meaning that it is a continuous present tense this implies that he is continuously falling he is constantly getting darker and darker he is constantly becoming more and more wicked The Book of Revelation says that he was thrown into a bottomless pit this means that he is constantly falling that is what Pride does to you it makes you worse and worse if you don't deal with the pride in your life life then it will destroy you Proverbs 16:18 says that pride comes before destruction and please note that destruction
is not always death because David said in Psalm 103:4 that God will redeem your life from destruction destruction can be happening in your life whilst you are still alive your pride can be destroying your relationships your finances and opportunities that God is putting before you so how can you reverse this through humility Satan also known by some as Lucifer is the age-old tempter who has tried to trick Humanity into disobeying God for thousands of years Satan started off as an angel in heaven created by God for his glory and praise but Satan was not happy
with merely serving and worshiping God no he wanted to be served and worshiped he wanted to be seen as equal or even Superior to God Almighty because of this Satan staged a rebellion in heaven he gathered up an army of angels and turn their intentions opposite to that of God these angels are known as Fallen Angels notice that these are not demons because demons are disembodied spirits who roam the Earth but Fallen Angels were once Angels but now are angels in darkness the war in heaven was fierce on one side the Archangel Michael and his
host of angelic warriors on the other Satan in the form of a massive dragon with thousands and thousands of demons God's Dominion however could not be successfully overthrown and the battle ended with Satan and his angels being cast out of Heaven Revelation 12: 7 to8 says then war broke out in heaven Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and the dragon and his angels fought back but he was not strong enough and they lost their place in heaven can you see that Satan and his angels had a place a position and dimension in the
Heavenly Realm but they lost it but as a Christian you gained a place in heaven Ephesians 2:6 says God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the Heavenly places in Christ Jesus but why didn't God just kill Satan and all of his angels why did he allow them to flee to Earth to cause death and Destruction for Humanity that is the question we will be asking in today's video stick around for the answers the main reason is because God cannot kill Satan or his angels because they were created from God and
in the likeness of God which is Spirit God is a spirit according to John 4: 24 so Lucifer and his angels are spirits and therefore they cannot die the fact that Satan is Alive means that God has a certain purpose for him God has a plan for All Creatures he created them all with a purpose and even when creation does not choose the will of the Creator the Creator God has a way of using bad circumstances choices and decisions to turn out for his glory we will therefore be looking at who Satan is and how
God is using Satan today in the book of Isaiah in the 14th chapter we see how Satan fell from heaven this text gives us a glimpse into what the Bible says about his Rebellion how you are fallen from Heaven o Day star son of dawn how you are cut down to the ground you who laid the Nations low you said in your heart I will Ascend to Heaven above the stars of God I will set my Throne on high I will sit on the Mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north I will
Ascend above the heights of the clouds I will make myself like the most high but you are brought down to shol to the far reaches of the pit another name commonly ascribed to Satan is Lucifer the name Lucifer literally means bringer of light we see that Lucifer was cut down because of prideful Ambitions this scripture is a clear statement of what happened to Lucifer another reference to the fall of Satan is found in the Book of Ezekiel in the 28th chapter thus says the Lord God you were the signant of perfection full of wisdom and
perfect in Beauty you were in Eden the Garden of God every precious stone was your covering sardius topaz and Diamond barrel onx and Jasper Sapphire emerald and carbuncle and crafted in Gold were your settings and your Engravings on the day that you were cre created they were prepared you were an anointed Guardian cherub I placed you you were on the Holy Mountain of God in the midst of the stones of fire you walked you were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till unrighteousness was found in you in the abundance of your
trade you were filled with violence in your midst and you sinned so I cast you as a profane thing from the Mountain of God and I destroyed you o Guardian cherub from the midst of the stones of fire your your heart was proud because of your beauty you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your Splendor I cast you to the ground I exposed you before Kings to Feast their eyes on you Ezekiel speaks here of a perfect being who was created by God to be beautiful and precious but then something happened unrighteousness was found
in this being he sinned and because of that sin God cast the being out of paradise this is a second reference to the fall of Satan he fell because there was a seed of distrust in him something prideful was growing inside him something God could not allow in heaven the reality is this Satan was a high ranking angel in heaven he fell so far that he became not only Satan the rebel but Satan the tempter so ignorant in his ways that he could not help himself but guide others astray as he has gone astray Satan
is also an accuser as seen in the book of Zechariah in the third chapter we see a clear picture of Joshua standing before God with Satan at his right hand bringing accusations against Joshua in the New Testament we see that Satan still plagues Humanity even the Lord Jesus Christ was tempted by Satan for 40 days in the desert Jesus later in his ministry even makes a statement that confirms the Old Testament view of the origin of Satan when in Luke 10:18 he states that he saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven one example is found
in 2 Peter 2 4 for if God God did not spare Angels when they sinned but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy Darkness to be kept until the Judgment Jude says in the first chapter of his letter where it say and the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority but left their proper dwelling he has kept in Eternal chains under gloomy Darkness until the Judgment of the great day Satan has granted freedom to live yes but he will ultimately be held accountable for his sins this once
again gives us some clarity on why God can't kill Satan and his Fallen Angels it would not be just to kill a criminal before a fair trial God is waiting for the trial of the world where everyone will be weighed and be rewarded in accordance to their Works to answer the question at hand we must First Take A Hard look at who God truly is the fact is that certain of God's holy attributes causes him to act in a certain way further than that because God is always the same never changing if we are able
to find out who he is then we can reliably understand why he does what he does God's actions are always an outflowing of his nature in other words what God does comes from who he is the first thing to remember when asking this question is that God is all powerful there can in fact be no challenge to his authority because he has the whole universe's power at his disposal if you think about it it makes complete sense nothing that is created can be greater than its creator if God truly created all beings and all things
as the Bible States then it goes without saying that none of his created beings can rise to a higher position of authority than him a common misunderstanding about Satan is that he is God's Ultimate Enemy there are some who believe that Satan and God are locked in a stalemate over the universe there are some who believe that God only barely defended Heaven by pushing Satan and his demons out it is a big mistake to think in this way God has no rival no one comes close to him in his power not even Satan the battle
for heaven from God's perspective was no battle at all there was no chance that Satan could win against the almighty creator of Heaven and Earth the event is captured in Revelation 12: 7-1 try to notice what God is doing while the battle rages on now War arose in heaven Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon and the dragon and his angels fought back but he was defeated and there was no longer any place for them in heaven and the Great Dragon was thrown down that ancient serpent who was called The Devil and Satan the
deceiver of the whole world he was thrown down to the Earth and his angels were thrown down with him and I heard a loud voice in heaven saying now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down who accuses them Day and Night Before Our God and they have conquered him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony for they loved not their lives even unto death there is something beautiful to
be found about God's nature in the fact that he does not kill Satan on the spot this act of Mercy shows that God loves his creatures even when they do not love him back the second thing we must understand about who God is is that he is all knowing every small and seemingly insignificant detail of the universe is known intimately by God there is no exception to the statement God has a full understanding of every individual and every single situation and choice that individual makes this means that God has a perspective like no other being
in the world has he is able to fully see both sides of any Story the Bible says very little of why Satan did what he did it does state that he became jealous and prideful of God God's all- knowing nature means that he knew the thoughts and motives of Satan and his demons in complete detail he understood completely why Satan did what he did it once again shows us an incredible aspect of God's nature compassion a father does not punish a child if he understands why the child did what they did a loving father gives
his children repeated chances to correct what they did wrong one of the reasons why God cannot kill Satan and his followers is that he understands completely why Satan did what he did to us it seems like Madness but God knew why Satan rebelled and he had compassion over him so this means that while we do not understand why God can allow Satan to stay in existence along with his angels God does he fully understands why he does what he does Free Will is a gift given by God to all of his Creation in short rather
than using his awesome power to force all of creation to worship him he gives each individual creature a choice to follow him this gift was extended to all of creation and all creatures including Angels because Angels were recipients of the gift of free will the possibility always existed that one day an angel or group of angels would use their gift to make the choice not to follow God why did God give free will was it necessary the thing is Free Will is an essential ingredient in genuine love you cannot love someone or have a good
relationship with someone if you have no choice to do so love cannot be forced it must be given to another by choice for this reason God who desires his creation to love him of their own choice gives them free will fully knowing that some will choose not to love him back the problem that arises because of Free Will is this if God punishes and kills each and every one that exercises the gift that God gave them in a way that he doesn't approve of has he really given them a choice you do not really have
a choice if one of your two options has the certain punishment of death attached to it no free will requires that both the possibility of rebellion and Redemption remain in existence so because God is just and fair he chooses to honor Satan's choice to abandon his position in heaven he will not be overthrown but he will not eliminate those who choose wrongly there is one more Theory as to why God allowed Satan and his demons to live after their Rebellion if we read the gospel accounts of Jesus's life in the New Testament we see that
Satan had a role to play in Jesus's Journey To The Cross could it be that even though Satan had rejected God God was still going to use him to fulfill his ultimate mission to rid the world of sin the first time Satan makes an appearance in the New Testament is when he tempts Jesus in the desert three times Satan comes to Jesus with various Temptations Jesus stands his ground by quoting scripture back to the tempter Jesus became the first human being ever to withstand his tempting comments this is a crucial section of Jesus story because
it proves him to be worthy to die for sin why because only an innocent person can take the place of a guilty person when an innocent person takes the place of a criminal in jail the innocence of that person is transferred to the guilty person they switch places God's plan was to transfer Jesus's Holiness to sinful Humanity this is what Jesus did on the cross he became sin and he placed his Holiness on us the tempting and succe ceeding against Temptation proved that Jesus was worthy to Bear the sin of the World perhaps this is
why God let Satan go so that he could prove Jesus to be worthy of his task the second major role Satan plays in Jesus story is in his temptation of Judas es scariot The Man Who Would betray Jesus and hand him over to the officials to be crucified have you ever wondered how Jesus would die for the sins of the world if someone didn't hand him over to be crucified Satan's role in Jesus's life was to enter into Judas and cause him to doubt in the power of Jesus to such an extent that he hands
him over to be killed perhaps God let Satan live so that he could convince Judas to kill Jesus so that he could save the world from sin Satan was an angel in heaven who rebelled against the authority of God he succeeded in gathering a massive Army of angels who shared in his Rebellion against God they fought over heaven and instead of being killed they were cast out of Heaven as Exiles why didn't God kill them for their Rebellion perhaps because Satan had a larger role to play in the story of redemption perhaps he was yet
another tool in God's toolkit perhaps God loves Satan so much that he wanted to give him a chance to turn around and follow him yet again perhaps God's love was so great that he gave Satan all the Time in the World to correct his mistakes we know that love cannot exist without choice and God's desire is that all of creation would love him therefore God gives free will to creation and with free will also comes the possibility of rejection God cannot kill everyone who does not choose him that would nullify the Free Will that leads
to love God chooses to allow Satan and his demons to live because God is love and love is extremely patient if this video has blessed you in any way then click the like button share this with your Christian groups on WhatsApp and click that super thanks button below
