my name is Jensen I'm 26-year-old entrepreneur and welcome to a day in my life I'm going to show you my morning routine Lambo collection and I can't do this I can't lie to you guys like the fake gurus this isn't even my house let me show you a realistic day in the life of an entrepreneur my day begins at 10:00 a. m. not 5:00 a.
m. like others because I'm a night owl or at least that's my excuse but when I get up I get going I wash up brush my teeth get dressed and check my email once all caught up I head straight to my desk I don't eat breakfast because I practice intermittent fasting helps me think more clearly and makes it convenient for me to Dive Right into work on my two businesses the first is my YouTube channel I make videos work with sponsors the classic content creator business the second is my fullservice storage company we pick up store and deliver items for customers I'll bring you to my storage facility later but on my to-do list for today YouTube is first my work as a content creator varies every day I'm either writing filming editing negotiating there's always a lot to do to quote Jay-Z I'm not a business man I'm a businessman I typically do everything in my bedroom but I recently got a laptop so I can work outside for a change of scenery especially when the weather's nice like today let's go write a video script at the park 3 years ago in 2021 I made a day in the life video that a whole lot of you watched back then I was fresh out of University and just one year into being a full-time entrepreneur at that time both my businesses were just getting off the ground and weren't pulling in much money yet as confident as I was in myself I I didn't know if I was going to succeed or not in the back of my mind I constantly wondered how long did I have left before I had to hand out my resume now looking back 3 years later in 2024 I'm happy that I can say I still haven't made that resume we've made it to the park the sun's out there's fresh air birds chirping this is a vibe to working I love that entrepreneurship gives me the freedom to work anywhere anytime on my own schedule work is so much more enjoyable when you get to do it your way for myself that's being alone and getting lost in the cretive process for hours I just got to geek out in a minute and say I loving this new laptop it's the Asus VI book S15 and it's actually asus's first co-pilot plus PC if you haven't heard Microsoft recently introduced this new category of PCS designed for AI and they are the fastest most intelligent Windows PCS ever this thing's got a Snapdragon X Elite processor with up to 45 watts of CPU power and an npu which is a dedicated AI chip that accelerates AI applications over the past year AI has seriously become a big and bigger part of my daily workflow this laptop adds to that with a bunch of useful AI features like live captions it can translate any audio across any app from 40 plus languages into real-time English subtitles there's also cocd which lets me generate AI art directly on my device using text and drawing prompts it's pretty cool I really like the AI features on here that are designed for everyday work during my video calls with Brands clients and team members Windows Studio Effects uses AI to improve my videos lighting and blur distractions and Asus two-way AI noise cancellation reduces my background noise for Clear audio when I'm editing story cube automatically organizes my videos and photos and helps me find specific files much faster even on the outside the AI features continue its Asus AI sense camera can detect when you're away and turn off the screen to save power and protect privacy and turn it back on when you return there's as well a dedicated co-pilot key which I honestly find surprisingly handy speaking of the design this laptop is so Sleek it's metal ultra slim lightweight and has a vivid 18. 6 in 3K 120 HZ OLED display it battery lasts up to 18 hours and it has full I/O ports two USB 3.
2 gen 1 type A's two USB 4S one HDMI 2. 1 one micro SD card reader and one audio jack it's even got RGB I'm excited to say that Asus is today's video sponsor if you're looking for a laptop definitely check this one out link is in the description okay I just finished writing my script let's check that off the to-do list next up we head to my storage facility [Music] welcome to my storage facility where we store a whole lot of boxes today's task is pretty simple I'm going to drop off some boxes to a customer for them to pack with which we'll pick up on a later date to store to do this I've learned a trick from the delivery cyclist in Asia I'm going to strap these on my back and hop on my e scooter it's funny how my two businesses are so different from one another YouTube is online and digital while storage is offline and physical I kind of love it this way whenever I need a break from staring at my computer screen I'm can getting some exercise by lifting some boxes I started my storage company with my brother 2019 and it has been such a crazy Journey physically and mentally there were more times than I can count where we were this close to quitting because of just how tough it was somehow though we always found a way to push through and thank goodness we did having a second business has allowed me to diversify my income streams my storage company completely operates independently from my YouTube channel and has allowed me to reduce my risk as an entrepreneur I get to feel safe knowing that one business isn't performing well I've got another to keep the bills paid while we have a team that handles the labor I make sure to join the front line as much as I can and get sweaty it lets me spot ways to improve the business talk to customers and honestly stay humble my biggest fear is losing my humility or rather Humanity as I achieve more success as an entrepreneur no money can buy that with the boxes dropped off let's check storage off my to-do list the next task is to finally break my fast and grab something to eat with my friend who at 26 just recently became a full-time entrepreneur her business and day in the life is so different from mine I want you to meet her so this is my friend Linda okay wait wait you just opened the store can you tell us a bit about it yes we opened little Pisces we're at Vancouver's first soft servant kayaki shop we've been working on this for a year and just opened last month what does running your business involve every day is pretty diverse it's everything from making takayaki cleaning up throwing out the trash all the way to making pretty important decisions like the ingredients that we use as well as where we're going to spend our money on how to manage people how to do all the intricacies of what it takes to run the B Food business it's funny because back in University I never considered myself to be entrepreneurial before this I was working in finance and then before that I was in Consulting after spending a few years in corporate everyone including myself started to complain about not really enjoying their jobs it took me until now that I realize that if I cannot find a job that I think is perfectly crafted for what I want to do and makes me feel super fulfilled and happy from a holistic life spas then I might as well try doing something for myself how are you finding entrepreneurship it's both tough and it's also really liberating not having to answer to a boss every single day and being P my own schedule has been something that I've never experienced before and that's been really awesome the tough part is that it's really just uh a black box having not run a food business before and the stats are really bad one in five food businesses go bankrupt within the first year but based on the my market research that we did for this job I thought that this business would at the chats at least what is the biggest life lesson that you've learned through entrepreneurship so far making money in any way is super tough I always thought that there might be an easier career path out there but in doing this I'm realizing that no I think just living life and making money no matter how you do it is going to be hard to a certain extent but my belief at least is that if you work hard in the beginning hopefully the seeds that you stole were eventually pay off over time as I head home to work some more eat dinner and go to bed at 2:00 a. m.
I want to confirm what Linda said making money is hard especially through entrepreneurship but from what I've learned over these past 4 years if you can accept that and grind it up your efforts will pay off over time not only through the money you'll make but through the freedom you'll gain to live life on your own terms the freedom to wake up at 10:00 a. m.
