to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar in 597 BC 10 years before the destruction of Jerusalem these captives were distributed throughout Babylon into various settlements forming small communities with some organization and freedom of worship about 5 years later the age of 30 and still in captivity God called Ezekiel to be a prophet 6 years before the destruction of Jerusalem his prophecies continued for 16 years after the fall of Jerusalem covering a period of approximately 22 years in today's video we will explore the story of the Prophet Ezekiel and his prophecies welcome to Bible story where sin abounded Grace

abounded much more peace and Grace beloved I ask that you all subscribe to the channel and activate the notification Bell if you like the video leave a like which helps me a lot to produce more videos without further Ado let's get to the video ezekiel's primary mission was to act as a Watchman on God's behalf his message was addressed to Jerusalem and Judah mentioned 23 times in the first 24 chapters interestingly the phrase House of Israel appears in 78 verses of the book while house of Judah is found only five times many people assume that

these terms refer to the same group of people but this is not the case all Jews are Israelites but not all Israelites are Jews the 10 tribes of the House of Israel had been taken captive to Assyria about 130 years earlier but the house of Judah remained at times Ezekiel used the term House of Israel somewhat Loosely especially in the first 24 chapters where the context clearly shows that he was addressing the Jews in Jerusalem elsewhere he clearly refers to the situation of the Jews the house of Israel God through Ezekiel warned them of impending

destruction unless they repented and turned from their idolatrous and sinful practices the people were told in no uncertain terms that if they did not heed God's warnings they would be held accountable and suffer the consequences of their own in actions Prophecies of happiness peace and abundance like all prophets Ezekiel did not bring only a message of Doom and Gloom through him God proclaimed that after the Israelite people had suffered humiliation and National deprivation due to their Disobedience he would return to usher in a time of unprecedented peace and Harmony among all nations as king of

kings and Lord of lords he will return to establish his righteous rule over the Nations to understand ezekiel's prophecies some historical context is needed from the time of Moses until King Solomon about 5 centuries Israel was referred to as 12 tribes that formed One Nation however shortly after Solomon's death the nation split in two the northern tribes continued to be called Israel and the southern tribes Judah Benjamin and part of Levi were called Judah these two Nations resided in the land God gave them for more than two centuries as independent nations until God finally punished

the northern tribes with captivity for their continued Disobedience the 10 tribes that made up the nation of Israel were taken into slavery by Assyria and from there these people migrated becoming lost to historians over the centuries to this day they are known as The Lost tribes of Israel the remaining Southern tribes who formed the nation of Judah continued for more than a century until their sins became so terrible that God condemned them to captivity as well this time the Conquering nation was Babylon which deported them in several waves before I go into depth about the

Prophecies of Ezekiel I want to say that I will not explain their meaning now as that would require hours of content many of these prophecies refer to both literal and symbolic things similar to the books of Daniel and Revelation little by little I will bring videos explaining these subjects with that warning let's continue first prophecy chapters 4:7 in chapter 4 Ezekiel was to make a model of Jerusalem and attack it he was then to lie on his left side for 390 days representing 390 years of iniquity of the House of Israel then he was to

lie on his right side for 40 days bearing the iniquity of the house of Judah this principle of a day for a year is found in several other prophecies chapter 5 contains one of the most severe prophecies in the Bible the prophecy of the rosaries where Ezekiel described with his hair shaved how Jerusalem would be punished for its sins one/ thir of Israel will perish from famine and pestilence another third will die from military conquest and the surviving third will be forced into servitude in foreign lands this prophecy is a warning of what will happen

to the modern nations of Israel in the future chapter 6 repeats the judgments coming upon Israel with the added phrase and you shall know that I am the Lord chapter 7 makes it clear that these prophecies against Jerusalem Judah and Israel are for the end time and include the period called The Day of the Lord's wrath which refers to the year before Christ returns and takes control of the world Isaiah calls this time the day of the Lord's Vengeance the year of Retribution second prophecy chapters 89 in chapters 89 God makes accusations against Jerusalem and

Israel in chapter 8 there are references to Pagan practices rooted in Christianity and practiced by many of Israel's descendants in chapter 9 God distinguishes between the ordinary citizens of Israel burdened by a tide of sin and those who rever God and His laws deeply distressed by the nation's sins the latter will have God's protection while the former will suffer judgment in chapter 10 Ezekiel is given a glimpse of the powerful spirit world and the high ranking cherubim in chapter 11 we have an invasion of the temple the fate of Jerusalem typifies the fate of national

Israel in the days before the return of Jesus Christ which might be called the second Exodus in chapter 12 Ezekiel describes both the deportation underway in his time and an Endtime Conquest there are many prophecies with a dual fulfillment third prophecy chapters 2023 chapters 2023 contain further indictments against Israel for violating God's laws Sabbath breaking is highlighted in chapter 20 and repeated in chapter 22 in ezekiel's time the Sabbath was sacred a sign of a people obedient to God fourth prophecy chapters 2425 in chapter 24 God allows ezekiel's beloved wife to die but he is

not allowed to weep visibly this was a sign that Israel would die on a massive scale in chapter 25 God warns the Gentile non-israelite nations of the judgments that would come upon them primarily the accusations against Ammon Moab Edom and philistia fifth prophecy chapter 2628 chapters 2628 are an indictment of TI within this prophecy God shifts the focus to the real power behind the corruption Satan God describes how this once righteous cherub has become greedy violent and arrogant chapter 28 ends with a preview of Israel's second Exodus from captivity leading to the transition to settlement

in the promised land in the Millennium 6th through 11th prophecies chapters 209 minus 32 these chapters are primarily judgments focused on Egypt although Babylon is also mentioned in the first part of chapter 33 God makes it clear that he is referring to the role of Watchmen for the children of Israel whose responsibility it is to warn of evil these Watchmen are individuals like Ezekiel commissioned to Proclaim God's warning 12th prophecy chapters 3339 these chapters contain a combination of judgment forgiveness restoration and Redemption for Israel chapter 34 portrays God as the great Shepherd of Israel in

chapter 36 God promises a time of rebirth for Israel symbolized by a new nature chapter 37 describes the return of the dry bones of Israel one of the most well-known Visions in the Bible this chapter also presents the in gathering of the scattered Israelites in chapters 38 and 39 we have the Battle of Gog and Magog which many scholars believe occurred shortly before or after the return of Christ 13th prophecy chapters 4048 these final chapters describe a new structure for the temple and its rededication in the Millennium the river of Living Water in chapter 47

to Proclaim God's message the vision of the valley of dry bones one of the most power powerful Visions in the Book of Ezekiel is the vision of the valley of dry bones found in chapter 37 in this Vision Ezekiel is led to a valley full of dry bones and is instructed to prophesy over them as he prophesies the bones come together gain flesh and skin but remain lifeless until the spirit of God breathes upon them and gives them life this Vision symbolizes the restoration of the nation of Israel which was spiritually dead but would be

revived by by divine intervention the Battle of Gog and Magog in chapters 38 and 39 Ezekiel describes a great battle involving Gog from the land of Magog against Israel this prophecy is often interpreted as an eschatological event that will occur in the last days symbolizing the final struggle between the forces of Good and Evil God promises to intervene directly defeating Israel's enemies and demonstrating his Holiness and power to All Nations ations the restoration of the temple in chapters 40-48 Ezekiel describes in detail the vision of a new Temple this section of the book is quite

Technical and full of architectural specifications the new Temple symbolizes God's restored presence among his people and the renewal of the Covenant between God and Israel Ezekiel also describes a river of living water flowing from the temple bringing life and healing a symbol of divine abundance and blessing in the millennial Kingdom the role of worship and the Holiness of God Ezekiel repeatedly emphasizes the importance of true worship and the Holiness of God he denounces the idolatry and Corrupt Practices that led to the fall of Jerusalem and the scattering of the people of Israel the restoration he

his life as a prophet the first Vision in the first chapter of the Book of Ezekiel he describes the vision in Vivid detail he saw a stormy wind coming from the north a great cloud with flaming fire and a glow around it in the midst of the fire was something that looked like Shining metal within This Magnificent Vision he saw four living creatures each with four faces and four wings symbolizing God's omnipresence and omniscience the living creatures the four living creatures that Ezekiel Saw had the faces of a man a lion an ox and an

eagle these faces represented the different aspects of creation and God's power over all living things each of these creatures had wheels on their sides that could move in all directions without turning symbolizing God's mobility and Universal presence the Throne of God above these creatures is eel saw a throne with a humanlike figure sitting on it this figure was a reflection of the glory of the Lord the description is powerful and full of symbolism highlighting the Majesty Holiness and glory of God this initial encounter with Divine Glory had a profound impact on Ezekiel preparing him for

the difficult Ministry he was about to undertake the Commission in Chapter 2 God speaks directly to Ezekiel calling him to be a prophet to the Israelites God instructs Ezekiel to stand and listen to his voice he refers to the people of Israel as a rebellious Nation indicating the difficult task Ezekiel would face in trying to bring God's message to a stubborn and obstinate people the scroll God presents Ezekiel with a scroll written inside and out filled with lamentation weeping and sorrow He commands Ezekiel to eat the scroll telling him to fill his stomach with it

this symbolic act represents the internalization of God's word by eating the scroll Ezekiel fully accepts the message he is to Proclaim making it a part of himself the taste of the scroll was as sweet as honey symbolizing that despite messages of judgment God's word is always sweet to those who accept it responsibilities of the prophet in chapter 3 God re iterates ezekiel's responsibility as a Watchman for the house of Israel he is charged with warning both the righteous and the wicked of impending danger if Ezekiel fails to do his duty and warn the wicked from

their ways the wicked will die in their iniquity but blood will be required at ezekiel's hand however if he warns the wicked and they do not turn away Ezekiel will be free from guilt this solemn charge highlights the seriousness of the prophetic Mission and the importance of obedience to God prophetic visions and signs Ezekiel was given extraordinary visions and commanded to perform symbolic actions ass signs to the people of Israel for example he was instructed to build a model of Jerusalem and Surround it symbolizing the impending Siege of the city he was also commanded to

lie on his left side for 390 days and on his right side for 40 days symbolizing the years of wickedness of Israel and Judah the death of his ezekiel's wife one of ezekiel's most difficult trials was the death of his wife whom God describes as the Delight of his eyes Ezekiel was instructed not to publicly mourn her death as a sign to the Israelites that they would not mourn when Jerusalem was destroyed this act symbolized the severity of the times to come when the Calamity would be so great that traditional mourning would be impossible the

to have intimacy with God the intimacy with God that Ezekiel experienced is accessible to all of us here are some practices we can adopt to cultivate a deeper relationship with God reading and meditating on God's word just like Ezekiel who devoured God's words we can make the Bible our daily food for our soul meditating on the scriptures helps us hear God's voice and understand his will continual prayer prayer is the means by which we communicate our hearts to God and hear his voice we can follow the example of Ezekiel who took time to seek God

In Prayer especially in times of need or revelation radical obedience Ezekiel did not hesitate to carry out God's instructions even when they were difficult or incomprehensible obedience is a crucial step in deepening our intimacy with God showing our trust and commitment to his will silence and waiting in many of his Visions Ezekiel waited in silence for God to manifest creating moments of silence and waiting in God's presence allows us to hear his voice more clearly faith community sharing our spiritual journey with other believers strengthens our faith and helps us grow in intimacy with God fellowship

and mutual support are essential for spiritual growth worship and praise worship is a powerful expression of our connection with God when we praise and worship God we open our hearts to his presence and align ourselves with his purpose just like Ezekiel who had a unique relationship with God we can also experience a deep intimacy with our creator May may we seek God with all our hearts Desiring to know him more and more and allowing him to transform us and use us for his glory may this search for intimacy with God be our priority so that

we can live in his peace and power fulfilling his purposes in our lives God's intimacy with Ezekiel Ezekiel not only witnessed spectacular visions and received prophetic messages he was invited to share in God's Own intimate experience on several occasions God called called him by name and spoke directly to him demonstrating a personal and caring relationship this intimacy was not only a demonstration of divine power but also of love and care for his servant in chapter 37 for example God leads Ezekiel to the valley of dry bones and challenges him to prophesy life over them this

experience was not only a demonstration of power but a demonstration of God's ability to restore and revive what was considered dead and hopeless this intimate Act of God with Ezekiel not only strengthened his faith but also empowered him to deliver a message of Hope and renewal to the people of Israel what we can do to have intimacy with God continued seek his presence constantly Ezekiel sought God's presence continually even in times of Challenge and adversity in the same way we can develop the habit of consciously seeking God's presence in our daily lives acknowledging his nearness

at all times trust in his faithfulness trust is fundamental to a close relationship with God Ezekiel trusted God's faithfulness to fulfill his promises even when circumstances seemed unfavorable we must learn to trust God's faithfulness in all circumstances of Our Lives pursue Holiness intimacy with God is cultivated in a pure and sincere heart just as Ezekiel emphasized God's holiness in his messages we should seek to live a holy and consecrated life separated from sin and dedicated to the service of God learning from ezekiel's mistakes and successes the life of Ezekiel being sensitive to his voice Ezekiel

waiting on God just as Ezekiel waited patiently for God in his visions and experiences we must learn to wait on God's timing to answer our prayers and fulfill his promises patience and perseverance are essential to developing a last ing intimacy with him as we adopt these practices and follow ezekiel's example of seeking deep intimacy with God we can experience significant spiritual transformation in Our Lives May our desire to know and love God intensely guide us on our journey of Faith leading us into ever deepening communion with him final part ezekiel's story not only inspires us
