Are These The Worst Humiliations In Football? (Nationals Edition)

football is a game of passion pride and dignity but if you are not careful all three of these things can be snatched from you in under 90 minutes it could leave you in real tears questioning your career choices and asking what the essence of life is if you think football isn't that deep try being the jialan national team on the 18th of November 2023 it was a Euro 2024 qualifying game but this match between France and jalta in the Alliance Riviera in nce only ended up qualifying as an unbelievable Ming obviously France went into that

ended up putting it in the back of his own net before they could even get back into shape Marcus thuram had latched onto a rebound to score the second in the fourth minute after the second goal things went quiet for a bit mbappe even sent a ball flying over the bar but in the 16th minute the French boys came knocking again a quick exchange of passes saw Coman set up zier Emory for the third goal but he got rough tackled just as he was putting the ball past the keeper and this changed the entire complexion

of the game because of that tackle zier Emory had to be subbed off early in the first half but more importantly Ethan Santos the man who had scored the own goal that open the scoring was sent off for his challenge leaving jalter with 10 men no doubt that was the worst day of Santos's professional career but little did he know that it was about to get even worse for him and his teammates France were 3-0 up when it was 11 versus 11 surely 11 versus 10 would look like an absolute mismatch mind you a certain

and mbappe had not yet joined the party and you bet he was itching to and he finally got his first chance from the spot when a handball from jalter Forced the referee to award France a penalty mbappe stepped up and scored his first of the game in the 30th minute but it was definitely not going to be his last 4 minutes later though he turned provider setting Jonathan Claus up for a belter from outside the box 34 minutes 5- N I wish I could tell you that that was how things stayed until halftime but it

ball in the back of the net but V intervened and the goal was chalked off for offside finally a reprieve for jalter but that did not last long at all jalter who had been keeping a very low block all game somehow found themselves drawn out of position and mbappe took advantage of that to provide the highlight of the game he caught the goalkeeper off his line and sent a shot from distance to complete his hattick with what was the most beautiful goal of the game 12- n but it still wasn't over finally France's all-time top

scorer Olivier jerud joined the party with his first goal of the game in the 89th minute then he doubled his tally for the day with a beautiful bicycle kick goal from close range to wrap things up in the 91st minute 140 was how it ended France's biggest ever Victory and jalter's heaviest defeat jalter did not even have a single shot all game while France had 39 it was a total mismatch but at least it was just a qualifying game this next one though happened in the biggest stage of all the World Cup honestly getting humiliated

in the world cup is bad enough on its own but getting humiliated in the World Cup on home soil no that's just the worst of course you know the game I'm talking about that Infamous semi-final game from the 2014 World Cup between Brazil and Germany and it was a humiliation for so many reasons you see Brazil went into that game without Neymar and Thiago Silva so it was always going to be a mountain to climb for them but no one expected it to be as bad as it turned out Thomas Muller opened the scoring in

the 11th minute when he got to the end of a Tony Cruz Corner then in the 23rd minute mirav kosa scored from a rebound of his own shot and put the Germans two goals up that was humiliation number one with that goal closer broke Ronaldo's record for most goals scored at the World Cup he did it against Ronaldo's national team in Ronaldo's country and with Ronaldo sitting and watching from right inside the stadium damn but before the Brazilian I could even fully process that Cru had made it 3-0 with a shot from just inside the

box and he very quickly doubled his tally for the day just 2 minutes later after he robbed fernandinho just outside the box 26 minutes 4-n heads were dropping on the pitch and tears were flowing in the stands but sadly it still wasn't over in the 29th minute Sami kadira scored to put Germany 5- n up and that was humiliation number two that goal was the fourth in the space of 6 minutes and it helped Germany break Brazil's record of most goals scored in World Cup tournaments once again Germany broke a Brazilian record in Brazil and

against Brazil damn but was it over well just for the first half 5 n was the score going to the halftime break and it was unclear what the Brazilians could have said to each other in the dressing room but whatever it was it worked but only for a short period Brazil did look sharper in the first few minutes of the second half Oscar nearly scored from close range but Noya was there to stop him a few minutes later the German goalie pulled off a double save to stop poino from close range at the other end

Julio Cesar was called upon to make a brilliant save to stop Müller from getting his second of the night with all these saves it looked like things would end 5- n but substitute Andre Sher found the back of the net in the 69th minute and the party resumed 10 minutes later he doubled his tally with the most beautiful goal of the night oil very nearly made it eight but it looked like he chose to have Mercy on the home nation and just played his shot wide in fact rumors had it that Germany decided to take

it easier on Brazil in the second half which was why they weren't as brutal with their finishing and only scored two in the second period anyway in the 90th minute Oscar scored a consolation goal for Brazil and to be fair it was a beautiful one but despite how beautiful it was there was not one person celebrating that goal in the stadium that day and that was how the game ended 17 Germany pulled up at Brazil's home and robbed them of their pride and dignity that was the first time in 62 games that Brazil had lost

a competitive game at home and what a way to lose it it was Brazil's biggest ever loss in a World Cup game and the biggest ever loss in a World Cup semi-final nothing short of a humiliation but years later Germany got a taste of their own medicine in the UA for Nations League it was the day Manuel Neuer became the longest serving goalkeeper in Germany's history but Spain did not care they still made sure to embarrass him but things actually did not start out well for Spain in that game you know what was supposed to

be a penalty for them was awarded as a free kick early in the game and then they were forced to make a change in the 12th minute but that would turn out to be a blessing in disguise as the early change saw Fabian Ruiz introduced and guess what it was He Who provided the assist for the opening goal of the game Spain got the party underway through a headed goal from Alvaro Morata in the 17th minute after he rose highest and connected with a beautiful cross from a Fabian Ruiz Corner then in the 33rd minute

Danny Almo hit the crossbar with his header but Fon Torres was just at the right place at the right time to convert the rebound the Germans hoped they could take the 2-nil score line into the break but rodri had other ideas he headed in the third goal of the game from another Fabian Ruiz corner and the Spaniards were flying but they were dealt a pretty huge blow when their Captain Sergio Ramos had to be taken off just 2 minutes before the halftime break in spite of that they managed to come out even stronger in the

second half scoring just 10 minutes after the resumption of the second period it was Fon Torres again Gia set him up brilliantly and he was always going to score from that distance the former Valencia man had a brace but he was looking for a hattick and it actually did not take long for him to get it minute 71 was the hat-trick minute Fon Torres completed his hat-trick with a goal from outside the box after latching onto a pass from Fabian Ruiz which also meant that Ruiz completed his hattick of assists after that goal Luis Enrique

was satisfied so he took off Fon Torres Danny olmo and Alvaro Morata but the guys that came in were hungry as well so mikol oaz got his name on the score sheet in the 89th minute wrapping things up with the sixth goal of the game Germany were absolutely humiliated that day the only luck they had was that because this game was played in 2020 there were no fans in the Stadium to witness this tragedy I mean they didn't even manage a single shot on target all game Germany of all teams wow one could even argue
