if I started learning English in 2025 here's exactly what I would do in this video I want to share with you the five most important things that without a question will help you reach fluency and transform your life this next year research shows that 50 to 70% of English Learners never achieve the level of fluency they truly want think about that 70% and I don't want you to be one of them I want to help you because after so many mistakes that I made I know there's a real chance that if you do it by
yourself you might never reach the level of fluency that you truly want after this video I can guarantee that you'll know exactly what to do to avoid the same mistakes that I made and make sure that you transform your English Faster by the way just 2 years ago I was working a minimum wage job carrying heavy bags of rice feeling stuck and unsure of my future but when I committed to mastering English everything changed I became a confident fluent speaker got accepted into a few universities in the US with thousands of dollars in scholarships made
friends from all over the world and I started this channel in English with no EXP experience and is doing pretty well with above average numbers this allowed me to creit my job and do what I truly wanted to do it transformed my life and everything started with one decision achieve fluency in English so what if I told you that you can do the same thing and change your life no matter if it's starting a business studying abroad or even getting the high paying job of your dreams the first thing that I would do without a
question would be decide my goal I was talking to my grandfather the other day and somehow we started talking about about goals and dreams and I mentioned to him how overwhelming it was to have so many choices and not know what to do so we were talking and then he went to his room got a pencil and a paper and he started to explain something to me and he asked me what do you think would happen if a ship didn't have any destination or a goal it would have many choices looking at that big ocean
but it would take months or even years to find the right destination it would end up in the middle of nowhere mul multiple times and even if they made a decision it would take a long time for them to find the right destination that is why it's so important to have a goal a destination that you moving towards before you start your journey otherwise you'll be overwhelmed by all the choices and eventually end up nowhere after I left my grandfather looked at me and said dreams without goals are just dreams and that stuck with me
because it made so much sense but when I had a conversation with him I was studing English for like 6 months already so it took me too long to realize this so the first thing that I would do is Define my goal my direction back on the first day when I started to learn English I didn't really have a goal so I was completely lost and that made me waste a lot of time two months ago I made a video I think one of my best ones it's going to be year or here I think
if you want to watch it later I mentioned something that not everybody knows about but most everyone experiences but it has to be strong enough to change you and it's called FTE FTE stands for I don't want to curse here but f word this event is a pivotal moment in someone's life when they are so fed up with their current circumstances and decide to take drastic action to change their life path and why I'm saying this and what it has to do with English learner it's because this moment is so clear and strong that it
makes you define your goal very fast I want you to realize that English is a skill that is going to help you get to your goal faster but learning English is not your goal your goal is something else but you know that learning English is going to help you get there even if it is just to watch TV shows and movies that's why FTE is so important it's not something that you can't control but I wish I had experienced early and it's something that most likely will happen to all of us we are humans and
we have a constant desire to change and get better so let's say you don't like your job you want to leave your country or you want to study abroad but you don't know how maybe you want to start a business but a part of you is unsure but then something happens your FTE moment and after that every completely changes because you're so done with your current situation and your mind cannot come up with any excuses like for example asking yourself questions what is my goal you will know exactly what to do it's almost like walking
around bushes and you can see nothing but then the FTE happens and you start to see everything again for me it happened when when my co-workers start yelling at me we ar for like 20 minutes at one point I thought what am I doing with my life I'm arguing with someone that I don't even like for 20 30 minutes and something clicked but it was way after I started learning English so I truly wish that that had happened to me way before and once you have this moment you will realize that English fluency is not
exactly your goal it's like a car you're going to get in and it's going to help you get to your goal way faster and once I realized this I knew exactly what to do another thing that I would do to help myself when I was overwhelmed and didn't know what my goal was is journaling and meditation for at least at least 10 minutes a day so this is going to help you reflect and think clearly about your situation and what you truly want sometimes we never stop to truly think and by asking yourself questions and
removing distractions you will find your answers so once I Define my goal the second thing that I would do is create a plan and a routine so when I had to go to school I had to take a bath a weird bath like surrounded by trees and there was a few houses here and there but I used to walk there every single day and it was something along the road that always made me curious it was this guy you know every time I went through there he was there he was walking around and I was
like what is this guy doing here every time I go through here he's here I never tried to find why but one day he passed Right By My Side side and I was like I had to ask him and I was like hey what are you doing here like I see you walking around every single day around the houses what are you doing and then he said I usually go around houses first to see if there's a lot of houses that need their grass cut then I go door too offering to cut their grass there's
a lot of people with great connections leaving around here so if I do a great job everybody would know about my work this is part of my plan and it's part of my routine as well and he kept going talking about all the things that he was is going to do he's going to do this and that I was like this guy has everything planed and I had to tell this story to emphasize my next point because I want to share the importancy of having a plan Falling by our routine because the same thing applies
to English learning do you want to be fluent by the end of 2025 or do you want to be fluent by the end of 2028 that's why having a plan is so important so this is exactly what I would do first I would write everything down from the moment I wake up to the moment I close my eyes to go to sleep after that you will notice a gap at what times you don't do anything or you don't do anything productive like watching something or going on your phone social media then I would create a
plan that I can stay consistent for at least 1 month then after 1 month I would reflect and see how everything went did I stay consistent was it easy so after this one month you will know what could work and what could not work so then I would create a plan for the next 3 months then I would do the same thing what worked what didn't work then for the next six months and every time you get to the end of this month you will know exactly what can work for you so you plan and
a routine gets better and by defining your goal before you start creating a plan and a routine you will know exactly what skills to focus more on so for example if you're goes to study abroad you know that you're going to use a lot of writing you know they you're going to read a lot so you have to focus more on these skills as opposed to someone that if their goal is to get a high paying job they don't need to focus too much on writing or on reading as much as someone that want to
study abroad so after that next I would Define each week of each month so I would open Google Calendar it can be any calendar but by now you have to know exactly what hours you are most free every day how many hours you have per day 1 2 3 4 5 hours so for example if you have 2 hours you divide a time between it skill So speaking 45 minutes listening 15 minutes writing 30 minutes reading more 30 minutes following this routine so remember this is an example you have to adjust it for yourself but
of course during the entire year you're going to have some things that it's going to happen to you that you cannot control but it doesn't matter as long as you stick with the plan it's okay now it's hard for me to say exactly where you should start because some people watching this are beginners intermediate or Advanced that's why you have to take this as an example and create a plan that makes sense for your level so for example if if I was ready Advanced I wouldn't Focus too much on listening and reading the the next
year I would focus more on writing and speaking that's why having a plan is so important not everybody's the same and you just have to get used to this process the goal is to create a habit that you just do it and it's part of your life like any other H that you have that you do without any effort for example brushing your teeth you just do it one thing that I right recommend if you want to take English really seriously this next year is the method eat the Frog so this is how it works
if you had to choose to eat first a live frog and your favorite food which one would you choose a smart person would choose to eat the Frog first because then you would have your favorite food to eat afterwards imagine how disgusting you would be to eat the Frog after you eat your favorite food you would be full and you wouldn't have anything to eat afterwards to take the taste of the frog out of your mouth so it's basically the ability to delay gratification the most important task of your day should be the first thing
you do and if you're going to take English really seriously this is the first thing that you have to do when you wake up your dopamine levels are back to normal so it's easier to focus and learn things faster doesn't matter if you work at night or at home the moment that you wake up you study English because what most people do wrong is that they leave this task for last then they are out of energy tired so is easier to procrastinate for the next point I want to tell a story about Howard hugget he
was considered a genius he made a lot of contributions to the aviation and movie Industries But as time went on he became known for something else his obsession with consuming information while failing to create and produce in the way that he once did and during his success he was able to create a lot of amazing things one of the biggest fight machines ever movies but something began to shift he became obsessed with watching TV and movies he would lock himself in his mansion and spend hours there only consuming and soon he started to lose touch
of his creative side he stopped creating and completely lost his ability and by the end of his life he was so different from the man that created so many amazing things he gained weight he became isolated and he regret his life decisions and I want to tell this story because this story makes you reflect about how important it is to have balance I want you to be aware of the danger of consuming too much I want to understand that it's so important for you and from everybody else that you speak and write even if most
of the time is just for yourself so after I Define my goal and create a plan and a routine the third thing that I would focus on would be consuming first but producing more than I consume there's a quote that I love about this man is not only a consumer he's also a Creator to truly leave you must not only take from the world but also give back to it and what exactly do I mean by that in this age of Technology there's so much you can do Instagram Tik Tok YouTube Netflix and countless of
other things it's so easy to just consume you have to understand that think about how much more creative you had to be a few years ago nowadays with AI you don't even have to think early on my journey I fell into a trap the Trap of the consumer and this can be even worse when you learn English I would watch YouTube videos Netflix thinking that I would study English I remember one day I'm even embarrassing to say this it was on a Sunday I watched someone stream for 4 hours and just because of the fact
that I was listening English I thought that I was studying or being productive and I was not speaking or writing much sometimes reading but most of the time I was only listening I think that if I watch a movie in English I had been productive for the day so many people fall into this trap and it's so hard to get out because consuming is so easy and producing and when I say producing I say speaking and writing not so much you might not see the difference at the beginning but later on you will notice the
difference of your ability to speak and listen and you might start asking yourself questions like why can I understand English but not speak what I would do is strategically focus on consuming first because it's important this is how you will improve in every aspect in the beginning but I focus on producing more than I consume so if one day I watch 10 YouTube videos and one movie I would make sure that that day I would also speak and write for at least 2 hours and I know for a fact that if I had started doing
this earlier I would have improved my writing and speaking skills so much faster trust me you won't regret in a few months if you start doing this now exactly 6 months ago I had probably one of the most important interviews of my life it was part of a process that the winner would win a full scholarship to study abroad I wouldn't have to pay anything imagine that imagine not paying anything to study abroad but that was not all I would also guarantee a job so I remember that early morning I was extremely extremely anxious the
interview of course was in English at about 11 a.m. I hadn't slept the whole night and that morning I kept picturing the interview in my head all the time practicing a little bit here practicing a little bit there but something was like really wrong I was I was too anxious it was was not normal and at that point I had never gotten out of my comfort zone that much when it speaking in English but of course now it was the perfect time to do it no matter what and eventually I did interview and I didn't
get it it was really frustrating it was an opportunity of a lifetime and I didn't get it you know and the crazy thing is that a few months later I met the girl that interviewed me how crazy is that and she literally said to me I think that if you were more comfortable you would be study abroad for free right now and of course I was like surprising really frustrated at the same time I kept thinking to myself what if I had faced my fears and and get out of my comfort zone before that interview
I would have been so much more comfortable with that process of getting out of my comfort zone and facing my fears that the interview that I was so anxious for it if I had to get out of my comfort zone many many times before the interview that interview would have been nothing for me I would be comfortable and I probably would be studying abroad for free so the fourth thing that I would do is Embrace uncomfortable situations get out of my comfort zone and face my fears much but much earlier and you will notice as
you start this journey that you will develop fears and eventually opportunities new doors will open up for you new people new skills and when that happened to me I took too long to face my fears and get out of my comfort zone I was afraid all the time so when I had the opportunity to meet someone to speak in English or learn something new I spent months avoiding it and later on it was even harder for me to get out of my comfort zone I remember when I was working 12 hours a day in the
food factory carrying heavy bags of rice every single day I was literally the only person with ambition there like the only one learn English and sometimes my co-workers will joke around with me you know telling me to speak in English but I couldn't do it think about this I was afraid to speak even in front of native speakers of my own language that didn't know a word of English that blocked me from reaching my full potential and it's so frustrating and painful to look back and think of how much time I wasted but now it
makes makes me feel so much better that I can now share this with you so you don't make the same mistakes and what is even crazier is that taking too long to face my fear of speaking in English made me waste time in other aspects of my life for example I could have improved my communication skills my camera presence made more friends and become more extrovert but because I was so afraid I didn't do these things earlier either don't wait until you think you're ready do everything now you won't regret later the fifth and the
fiveth thing that I would do is track my progress and set a realistic timeline when I was starting out I used to create scenarios and and scenes just like a movie where I would play different characters I would try to speak one by one almost like giving a performance and what I regret the most is not recording any of it it would be so funny to have footage of that right now and see how much I progress over the years be able to see where you were 6 months ago 3 months ago a few weeks
ago and see how much progress you're making every week is truly a privilege you can give yourself feedback and easily identify what is working and what is not working for you and you can record yourself doing everything speaking writing reading then you come back and listen again to see the difference you can keep the documents all the papers that you've written so you can see how much progress you made over time it completely changes everything but not only that a huge mistake that I made and I still see a lot of people making is setting
an unrealistic timeline to achieve your goal in the beginning I used to think that I would be able to become fluent in English in like 2 months in my sounds silly but it's true and let me explain why this can kill your progress if you set a timeline that is not realistic from the start you're already building a huge expectation and putting too much pressure on yourself let's say you thought that you would become fluent in English in 3 months after those 3 months if you're not fluent you're going to lose discipline motivation and literally
everything but if you set a a realistic timeline like for example 2 years even if you take less time to do it you have an expectation that is achievable but what I recommend is setting small goals in a very short period of time not big goals like in 2 months so for example every week you write down your goal this week I want to speak for 10 minutes without pausing in English next week I want to write for 10 minutes without spelling a word now you have a reasonable timeline to achieve a goal that way
your mindset adjust to that timeline so you don't give up easily and it might seem simple but it's very very important and that is why I decided to include in this video I believe that if you applied everything that I talk about in this video from the beginning your journey to learn learning English will be so much easier and I'm telling you this from experience if I had known this when I started things would have been so much easier but no matter what you still have to practice your English speaking skills and become a confident
English speaker that is why I created a full guide so you can watch that next and I see you very soon
