like the ad account just got disabled 3 days and I still don't I can't drive any traffic to the website yo that first sale hype for the video ads net profit all right so we finally situated ourselves here in Bali we just finished our Euro tour so now that I'm here I want to see if I can actually make a product work from completely scratch I haven't done a challenge in a long time so I just came across this video right here of the project it's essentially marketed as a normal projector but my whole idea going into this is that I'm going to Market this as a sporting event type of projector a must have for people that are you know going to watch the Super Bowl big events you might be hosting something at your house and instead of using a TV like this you're going to be using a massive projector if you have a big wall it's going to be able to accommodate for a big big crowd so potential FIFA events the World Cup Super Bowl NHL whatever it may be this product is going to be the go-to device we're going to see if we can in fact make it work I'm going to be running paid to ads for this test so I'm going to take you guys along with me throughout the entire process building this store from completely scratch and hopefully we can get some sales and hopefully we can turn this into you know a brand that maybe I run so what I really like about this product is that we can create a bunch of content if you look at all these all these videos right here tons of content tons of potential for this product to go viral so as you can see we can get the product for 3396 and the competitor that I found is selling the product at $167 so $167 it gives us a decent amount of margin obviously we don't want to be selling it exactly at the same price as them potentially under cutting the market by 10 to 15% and um yeah my whole idea behind doing that is because when we're first starting we want to eliminate as many variables as possible throughout the testing phase let's say hypothetically we're selling 10 to 15% under the Mark we know that if people aren't buying from us it's not because of the price so that's generally what I like to do from the get-go just to eliminate the pricing variable and you know as we start to get more purchases uh we can slowly work towards increasing that price incrementally uh we we by week and split testing to find that perfect medium but for now we're just trying to get proof of concept just to see if the product works for us I'm not really trying to profit massively off the bat from here we can see that the product clearly does work for the competitor just uh in the past 24 hours they've done $112,000 and uh since I track them which I don't know how long ago it was I think it was like maybe six 7 Days they've done $52,000 and of course their main seller is going to be this projector right here I could also add this one which seems to be another best seller for them so these two would probably be the main for now I'm going to slowly focus on this one yeah as I said I'm going to try to just really figure out uh what I plan to do for this test I am tailoring the entire store to appeal to people that are into sports sporting events whatever it may be so this is basically how I went about getting my brand name coming up with a brand name trt is pretty goed so I just said uh I want to sell this product my main competitor is Vision beam these guys right here give me five brand names and I said can we tailor the product offering to to sports fans and then these are the ones that I got I liked game day vision and then it came up with these and this is what I think is the best one I like play Vision X I think that one's pretty solid so I just went over to GoDaddy make sure that it is available and it is so this is the brand name that I'm going to be going with so the next thing that I need to do is set up my Shopify store so I'm going to start going through that process right now so I got the domain name now I opened up my Shopify store I'm actually going to use my AI store Builder to basically set up the back end um I'll show you what it looks like right now yeah so basically just went ahead and used uh the Builder and then from there uh it basically gave me the option to choose between which Niche but for now like I'm just uh going to go in with like General Accessories phone accessories and equipment so this is what it gave me as I said like I'm not going to use this exact product and as you can see even the unit that I'm planning to sell is right here which is cool um and then yeah I think the template itself is really nice it's a really good basis to work off of I'm not going to be just uploading this theme and immediately start to run ads I'm going to just use this for the back end so everything from the shpping policy to the layout to the color schemes I'm probably going to keep the same and then I'm just going to add my own products in there I'm going to add the main product of course and then and from there start playing around with it and I'll update you guys when I'm done with the whole setup it should take me like an hour two hours [Music] max all right so I just went ahead and got some video ads for uh Facebook so when we start media buying uh the reason why I'm doing that is because I don't want to be wasting time editing the videos instead I'd rather have a service do it for me for the convenience uh while I work on basically building out the store so I just went ahead and bought this package right here which is the uh the AI ugc Facebook video ads from viral Ecom ads and I went ahead and just submitted this form basically just put the AliExpress link I also added the Angles and then on top of that I added some of these viral videos as reference so I want them to create something like this of course cuz it's already done well so we'll take some elements from these vir videos and try and formulate something that will appeal to sporting fans so hopefully they can come up with something nice uh something that ends up converting but we'll end up seeing that tomorrow in about 24 hours hopefully sooner when those video ads come in all right so I just set up the backend fulfillment um main thing was I just wanted to get this AliExpress listing so this product right here on to my Shopify store and basically how I did that just went on to autods I synced up this product SKS the back end is all connected to my Shopify store so that like anytime I do in fact get an order right here it should Auto populate on to autods and then I'll just buy these credits and everything will be all good to go customers information will get synced over and I don't have to input their information each and every time but yeah fulfilment all good to go next thing I'm going to try and get a logo I think that's what I got to work on next so logo I'll just go on cano it shouldn't take me too long I'll probably just use one of the pre-existing templates and then I'll start finishing up the store probably will work for another let's say like hour maximum it's already getting late here uh and I'll update you guys in the morning uh hopefully the video ads will come in by that time and I can show you everything that I worked on and then hopefully launch midday so I just got back from the gym and I stopped by the camera store to pick up one of these DJI osmo action 5 pros I'm going to see if I can get some cool fbv Clips I got the mouth mount on so while I'm surfing waves look good today so we're going to get a quick little surf session and after that we'll come back to work it's honestly so nice that I get to kind of break up my day with either going to the gym or being able to go [Music] surfing especially in locations like Bali Bali is one of my favorite places mainly because of the lifestyle everything in Bali is pretty much catered to digital Nomads really good Wi-Fi lots of cafes uh co-working cafes the gyms are insanely nice the food it's like entirely optimized for people that are you know trying to live a holistic lifestyle like no seed oils all grass-fed crazy stuff so definitely hopefully going to get yolked and shredded while we're here surfing every day going to the gym [Music] all right so just to showcase the website um right here you can see that uh it's pretty basic you know I went in with that Best Buy color scheme we did free shipping on order 75 plus we got the nice logo that is somewhat similar to the main competitor I think it looks a lot better uh we have the pricing strategy when in wanted to undercut the competition by a little bit they're selling it at 167 so I still had margin selling it at or buying it at $33 a unit so29 should be good we don't want to have a massive compared two price difference so 133% and then yeah pretty much basic we have the text broken up with some images and yeah we got the gift right here but that's pretty much it that's all I really needed to do all right so for now while I wait for the video ads to come in I'm going to be working on a diagram like a mirror diagram uh so you guys can see what the Facebook ad structure look like it's not going to be anything like rocket signs but I think it's good to have somewhat of a visual so you guys can go over that use it if you want I'll make sure to leave like a link to that below and I'll also be working on the copy for the text so the description the headline and the primary text I already have my angle in sight which is going to be targeting people that are into sporting events uh maybe hosting sporting events so yeah just work on that and hopefully within the next couple hours they come in once they come in then we can pretty much set things up and we'll be all good to go and ready to launch all right so the ad creatives just came in I'm going to flip the camera around and show you the first two this is for the Facebook AI package all right so that's the first one and I did end up actually ordering another one just so uh we can get two creatives in there enject all right so these are the two creatives I also as I said works on the uh Miro flowchart so let's just talk about the structure really quick it's pretty basic for the most part you have your campaign right here this is going to be CBO we can do anything from $50 to $100 and then from there we have the adset itself where within that it's literally no targeting and it's completely open and then we have our for uh ads so we have ad creative number one primary text number one uh and then we have ad creative number one uh which is the video number one and then primary text number two so the only difference between these two are going to be the text and then with this we're going to be doing ad creative number two which would be video number two and then primary text number one and then same thing add creative number two with primary text number two so the main reason why I'm doing it this way is so that we can put uh these two videos up against each other with the two texts against each other so I can really pinpoint the best video one and the best primary text to then you know hopefully get to the point where I find that winning creative that winning combination to then drag into my winning ad set we can go on to the copy as I said I used chat gbt for this so let's just uh pull up chat gbt really quickly so literally all I said Chad to was I said now I'm oned my Facebook ad copy I'll give you my competitor's winning ad copies and primary text um and then I said we're going to go steps one through two I would suggest you guys could actually copy this and use it uh it was pretty useful so after this I gave pretty much all the information of my product and this was just the uh literally the screenshots from my website of the descriptions and then from there after I did that I went ahead and browsed into my competitor's Facebook ad Library I noticed that they're using a lot of this text right here which was Big Scream spooky Vibes right at home so they continued to use this one so uh that led me to believe that that's probably one of their winners so I grabbed that I grabbed a couple others and then I pasted that into here as you can see and uh it spat out two solid ad copies that I went ahead and used for uh the Facebook ad itself so we can go into here as we can see we have have that main uh CBO this is the campaign itself pretty much just named It Whatever uh this one is budgeted at $50 for now we just have it at uh purchase US and Canada I'm literally just targeting these two countries right here the US and Canada pretty much everything else is open so actually this should be off rather so we're using the original so that's just going to be completely open um ages 18 to 65 not touching anything and then as we get into the primary text or sorry rather the ad creative so the ads we have our four ads right here right here is the first one so we have the primary text number one with the first video that I showed you guys and then for the headline and the description I kept them all the same which is game day awaits and uh transform any room into a stadium in the C action shop now uh then the second one is add number one primary text number two and then we have ad number number two primary text number one which is with that second video and then add number two primary text number two which is with the second text so yeah just uh publish this right now it's going to take you know probably within the next hour or two for to get approved right now you can see it's 2:41 in Los Angeles so the ads should start running and spending money at around like 6:00 7: a. m. so we have plenty of time uh right now it's 5:40 in Bali so uh just ending the day here hopefully we can get some sales in the morning in La I just got back from surfing as you can see um and not good news it looks like the ad account just got disabled I don't know why yet so I'm going have to look into this um and once I look into it probably submit a appeal and see if you know I can get on some customer support with Facebook and hopefully resolve this issue because if I can't advertise then I can't drive any traffic to the website uh yeah this it sucks so uh just going to try and fix this and hopefully by tomorrow after submitting this review they accept it and uh we can start running the ads all right guys a little update as to what's been going on it's been 3 days and I still don't have an ads manager or an ad account to run the ads I've been on various platforms I've been on Fiverr I've been asking friends I've been trying to get someone to give me their ad account I've got uh access to ad accounts but every single one that I've been trying to run ads with keeps getting disabled uh either for payment or for whatever reason I don't know what's the issue so I'm still trying to get an ad account to run these ads it's so frustrating I'll show you guys what it looks like on my end so you can see the ads manager is disabled here uh this one is due to billing uh I added my MX I first tried to add my Visa card but that didn't work so I thought it was because it was Visa then I went ahead and tried with MX and still with MX as well uh the card didn't go through and I sent my last four I've done everything that it asked me to do and for some reason the ad account keeps getting disabled so at the moment I'm still in the process of trying to get an ad account to be able to run these ads I'm in the talks with a friend to see if he can let me borrow one of his ad accounts he has an agency account so I guess I'll just wait for his response if he can do that then I'll try and run some ads with one of his ad accounts that he can uh grant me access to otherwise I'm just going to have to go on Fiverr again and try and find another list listing uh this past guy I think I negotia down and I got him to charge me I think for this order was like 60 bucks for the ad account went ahead and went through with it was 61 bucks but yeah as of now we're still trying to simply just run ads everything on the back in is perfectly set up you guys saw the website it's all good to go we got the video ads all good to go now we just got to get eyeballs in the main way to do that is through uh media buying platforms I usually like to run ads on Facebook but if this is not I mean Facebook's not going to be compliant with me if it's not going to work out then I'm just going to have to try some Tik Tok ads even though I the ads that I got set up or the ads that I ordered are specifically tailored for the Facebook platform so I'd have to probably get some other video ads that will be a little bit more native on the Tik Tok platform so yeah for now we'll just keep waiting and hope for the best what's up guys finally a good news update to give you guys but basically my brother let me borrow his Facebook account to which I went ahead and created a new business manager created a new Facebook page created a new ad account and that campaign that I had showed you in uh a couple days ago I basically just duplicated it on to uh this new ad account so same structure same everything so let me just show you really quickly what we're working with as I said it's essentially the same thing as the other campaign but uh in about 20 minutes or so I'm going to turn on this campaign right now it's let me see right now it's 1120 p.
m. in the states so we can see this is the one that we went ahead and created it's basically the same thing we have those four ad creatives in there so yeah in about 20 minutes I'm going to turn it on and it should start spending in about 5 or 6 hours so like 56 a. m.
PST and yeah it'll start driving traffic to the website hopefully we can get some sales I'll keep you guys up to date if anything exciting happens if anything bad happens hopefully not but but main thing is we can actually run the ads so for now we are good to go what's up guys so day one is officially done it is about to be 1:00 a. m. in Los Angeles uh yeah so day one no sales I don't know if you guys can see oh oops Yeah no orders so we're still at zero orders but I'm going to show you the ads show you where the money was spent if you guys remember uh we were running four ads we have two video ads and two primary texts that are all going up against each other and then we'll take a look at uh where the money was spent so see this is the reach the impressions of course there is no cost per acquisition but first ad set or the first ad creative spent 15 bucks this one basically zero 1922 overall $57 spent so yeah we are down $57 for day one uh there isn't much else to show you guys so I'll keep you guys up to date hopefully we get some sales that come in tomorrow but until then yeah we'll just keep the ads running and hope for the best Yo that first sale hype I accidentally already clicked the shopy notification so there's just the email but yeah first sale came in um let me see I can pull it up first sale right here I don't know if you all can see that first sale came in they ordered one of the projectors it's currently 8:00 p.
m. in California we got about four more hours left in the day to hopefully get another sale if we do I will keep you guys up to date um probably bring my camera out again if we get another sale but we will see what's up guys so a bit of an update we just moved into to the new Villa uh so all of yesterday we're pretty much just uh moving our stuff from Villa to Villa I did a little bit of work went to the gym went and surfed uh but I didn't get any sales or I didn't think I got any sales and I just looked on the dashboard and yeah we did get one at 7:06 p. m.
and I don't know why for some reason I didn't get a notification on my phone or I didn't see the notification so it's actually it's actually right here so we did end up getting that notification in $129 and the cost per purchase uh was $50 so $50 cost per purchase it did come in on Facebook for today uh we still haven't got one in $46 spent it is currently let's see it's 10:30 so we have about 2 hours um not going to make any changes just going to continue to let it run I think overall we've done $260 in Revenue we spent $300 so we still are in the red uh not including product costs as well so we're going to let the ads run for another day which will be day seven the end of the challenge hopefully we can get a sale or two between that time to uh end the challenge challenge profitably but yeah not going to make any changes I'll update you guys tomorrow with the full breakdown uh Revenue cost total net profit but we'll see check back in tomorrow what is up guys day seven is now done the challenge has officially been complete so now we're going to go over the numbers probably what you guys have been waiting for this whole time little bit of a spoiler but uh we didn't end up getting any sales since the last time I up ated you guys I went ahead and fulfilled these two orders so they should be getting sent to the customers in no time but now we can go over the numbers so we did a total revenue for those two units or those two orders rather was $259. 90 ad spent for that 7-Day period on Facebook was $371 70 the cost of goods for those two units that were sold each unit was priced at $33. 95 plus free shipping so $67.
