I've helped creators gain over 10 million followers until today, and over the past three months, my clients had a combined reach of 250 million people. Now, I obviously don't say this to show off to you right here, obviously, but I actually want to show you the top three strategies that separates those top creators, most impactful creators, from the rest out there, so you can improve your own content strategy. So I'm going to pick a profile of one of you sent in here, fix it, and then I'll show you basically how to turn a mediocre looking profile into one that has the potential to have millions of followers, right?
I'll show you how to actually figure out what your followers really want, so you can create content that's just better than the rest out there. And then I'll show you how to build a strategy that makes them come back for more, so you actually blow up eventually. Awesome, let's get into it.
Okay, so this is Boricua Caffeinado, Caffeinado, he didn't specify the name actually, but he has issues getting views and likes, at least that's what he wrote. And if we just take a look at the profile itself, I can already see a bunch of issues right there. First of all, the profile picture right there, it basically sucks, because, you know, this is actually way bigger than it really is, if we take a look at the real phone screen right there.
But the profile picture just sucks, it's a logo, which sometimes can be okay, but not at all times, and if we zoom in here, it has this Boricua and then Caffeinado in a very small font that nobody can read. So that's the first thing we don't need, we need to change your profile picture, how we're going to figure this out, what we're going to actually do with this. But most likely it will be some sort of person that needs to be in the background, because people don't want to follow companies, people don't want to be victim to the social media sale game, basically, because people because marketers have just overused that.
So next thing being, there's the category, if we take a look, video creators, we don't need that, we know you're video creators, because there's videos on your profile. So we don't need the category. Second of all, home barista, okay, this is actually something pretty good, because we can kind of understand what you are about.
But coffee content creator, I think that's kind of like the same, wouldn't you say? So that doesn't add anything to it. And then you link your personal account, which I don't know if we need that.
I don't know if we actually care. And that's the most important thing. And then you have your link in there, which I checked just comes to your back to this Instagram profile and a TikTok profile on a YouTube profile.
Well, kind of semi, semi okay. The other thing actually being your profile highlights, which are generally very important. It took me a while to understand, but it's like once a month, you have some Instagram profile highlights in there with some pretty mediocre content to be honest.
If we think about it, as a viewer, I'm not really sure why I should follow you here. And that obviously begins right there before people even see your content, just there. The first glance, the first impression is the most important thing right there.
People are just not going to follow you. It doesn't matter how good your content is. I'll show you in a second how to fix that.
We're actually going to fix that hands-on right here. Also, if we take a look at your content itself, it kind of looks okay, but it's just, there's just something missing. You know, either the colors don't pop or there's just something that's missing from, you know, that is a million follower account.
Um, I see you're actually putting in some effort into some things like some things look amazing by the way, but some things don't. So you need to really watch out with the content production quality and stuff like this. We, by the way, made a video, just the last one here on the basically we talked about how to fix our production quality.
Now, if we go through your content right there, there's just also no content strategy. So it's basically all over the place. And the other thing is it's just not consistent.
You're not consistent at all. I think your last post was months ago, you know, without the consistency, obviously we're not even going to talk. Usually, usually I'll be like, you know, first be consistent and then you come back and we'll talk again because we're all friends, you know, let's fix this whole, whole thing together.
So everyone here gets some value for their own profile. Okay. So let's assume that your content were consistent.
You know, 7th September was actually your latest post, which is quite a while. And then July, but let's just assume this. We're all okay.
Even then the content would be all over the place. There's not a lot of content variety, just some pictures of some nice latte art, which is cool, but you know, what's actually your goal. And that's the most important thing as a viewer coming to your profile, we're seeing one of your videos and then coming to your profile, I'd be totally confused, right?
Cause I don't even know why should I follow you? And that whole thing comes back to actually yourself. Cause you probably don't even know yourself with this profile, what your goal is.
And that's the thing in your profile, you're right. You're a home barista, coffee, content creator, personal account. But here's the thing.
Nobody really cares about that. And just based on a first look right there, I still haven't gotten the memo of why I should follow you. You know, and I usually call this the content audience fit audience fit is not there.
Cause thinking about it, like who's your, who's your audience, you know, just based on a first look, we're going to dive deeper into what you're, what that actually is, but most likely you're creating content for people who also love coffee, but just generally people love coffee. Do they really go to social media to watch content about some random home barista create latte art and coffee? I'm not sure.
So, you know, the idea is there, but the spark is just missing, right? So we really need to go ahead and elevate this whole thing, right? Think about why would somebody who loves coffee, go to social media and watch content about coffee.
And obviously that's a big part of making your content strategy work, understanding exactly that. So let's do some research. And basically what I'm going to do right here is just for the sake of this video, just put in coffee in the search bar on Instagram.
Everybody do that with your niche goal, really broad, right? Don't, don't go really, uh, you know, keyword stuffing in there. I just put in coffee right here and you know, already a lot of interesting content right there.
Beautiful content, by the way. Uh, so you can see generally what the level is that you kind of need to hit in, in, in terms of the content production quality. But let's just take a look at this one right there.
Totally your main competitor or competitor, similar account that kind of has paved the way for you already by showing us lots of pre -validated content. And one thing she has in her bio, actually the only thing, but it's actually pretty good teaching you how to make coffee shop level coffee at home. Damn.
You know, that's pretty good. It's a value proposition. I call it a one liner.
Uh, by the way, my program, we have multiple at this point, customly trained GPTs to kind of get to your one liner and create one, your value proposition, something that makes people be like, wow, I need to follow that. I need to hit the follow button because otherwise I'll forget I'll lose this profile. We need to do what everybody seems to skip at all times.
Cause it takes a little bit of brain power and it's a little complicated. It is mapping out your audience, AKA your avatars, AKA your one true fan. You know, I've been talking about this for years at this point.
And we actually, in my program, the creator mentorship, we do that for our clients and it takes a while, right? And we really try to go really deep, but luckily right now, cause we've been doing this for quite a while. I also have a custom trained GPT with my brain, essentially with all the data points that I've had up until now, probably I'll continue to live inside there.
Once I'm done, I already put some basic information about you, your content and what I assume is your goal in there. And afterwards also did some market research myself. Cause you know, we just can't trust the robots, my robot, stuff like this.
We've all seen where this will lead anyway. So this is what I came up with doing, let's say 30 minutes of research with the help of my GPT. Usually this takes weeks, right?
And usually we come up with some baselines thing. And then over the course of the next months, we'll refine that because that's the way it really works. Essentially, let's just go through that.
And you will see that this is not just some boring sheet that you built kind of fantasizing about your audience. This will give you not only content ideas, it will give you hook ideas later down the line. And basically it will be the main core of your operation.
What I came up with is most likely your audience is between 18 and 40 years old. They're generally interested in learning new skills, DIY projects, improving their home routines. We'll get to that a little later.
Also what I found is there's a slight lean towards millennial women who are interested in coffee culture. Don't ask me why, but that's what we figured out. And also the experience level of your audience is most likely beginner to intermediate home coffee enthusiasts.
And here's the thing, a lot of the things here, I just made an educated guess, because I didn't have anything to go off with because we didn't speak. And then it goes on to the actual stuff, the psychographics and stuff like this, the pain points, the struggles, right? People are struggling mastering techniques, perfecting coffee making, getting the right grind size, the milk texture for latte art, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, equipment issues, replicating cafe quality coffee.
That's one thing that she had in there. So I obviously took that and I did some digging. That seems to be some huge trend right now that's going on.
People want step-by-step guidelines to help you achieve, basically replicate the Starbucks thing or whatever is fashionable right now. How do I know? Now also goals and aspirations, you know, saving money seems to be one thing, improving skills, impressing others.
We'll get to some of these things in a while. And by the way, down below, you can take a look at the sheet to take this into inspiration to kind of figure out how to create your own cheat with this. And also, you know, we have some outlines already.
We'll get to that. Just based off of this, I actually came up with some really baseline bio. And like I said, it took me five minutes, usually it takes longer, but I think it gets the job done.
And not even thinking about your content yet, I basically optimize the look and feel of your Instagram profile, right? AKA I made it look like you could potentially have 1 million followers easily, right? And here's what I actually changed.
This was how it was before. This is how it is right now. So first of all, I changed the profile picture.
Okay. So something I assumed you don't want to show your face and it's totally fine to not want to do that. Obviously it helps, but there's other ways methods that you can use to kind of get the power of social relationship going, AKA your voice with voiceovers and stuff like this.
So I just put in basically a random picture of somebody holding up a coffee stuff in front of the face figure. That's kind of cool. I also make you get the verification button type of thing, just to make you look more legit.
And usually if you don't have a lot of followers, this verification button kind of feels or can feel like, Oh, you're just buying their button or their tick mark, check mark and their losers. But if the whole profile looks 10 out of 10 and looks like it's some professional content creator doing some stuff, people don't think about that. People just see the overall picture.
Again, just take a look at that before, after I put in your bio right there. I also optimize the story highlights, which are very, very important. What I figured out, what I wrote in this document, you know, your coffee journey, just to get a little bit more about yourself to kind of have people relate with you a little bit more coffee, latte art, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
We're not going to get into that too much. And I also implemented down there, some sample look, basically of how content could look like if the production quality was a little higher and also already a little, you know, content strategy is in there, which we're going to talk about in a sec. And now that we have the whole profile looking fresh and cool, we obviously need to build a strategy that fits that, that matches that, that actually gets people to come back and return and scroll down and actually hit the follow button right there.
The best way to actually get there is to make it as easy as possible for people to find a bank of content that they came for, uh, that fits their needs. Basically your Netflix on your profile, just based around your topic that you have your, your niche. And there's actually two important steps that you need to take to make this.
First of all, by building out content pillars, we've talked about this before a little bit different types of content. So people have a clear vision and expectation what your content is about, but also content pillars are also there to help people find your content easier. Think of Netflix, think of the thumbnails of YouTube is a little similar, similar, but also a little different, but we need to make people find, okay.
I just watched, for example, if we go here to the profile, I have one that's 30 cents, Starbucks clone or failed latte art. So you want 30 cents, Starbucks Sloan. They instantly know, well, this is about recreating some Starbucks thing.
And if your videos all say that or a similar thing, people know, okay. I just watched the Starbucks clone. I want to see another one in that same pillar.
They're going to scroll down and obviously going to find that helping your session times really be higher. And this is actually the sweet spot, what the algorithm is always looking for, how to start building your content pillars. First of all, we're going to do some market research, similar to what we did here, just a little deeper.
This girl that we saw before with her latte and with her coffee, we're going to find a lot of different stuff. First of all, in your industry, like the coffee stuff, but also outside of your industry. And this is where it gets interesting because if we go back to our document that we have created, again, this is just a very baseline document, a very basically surface scratching thing, but we know a little bit about the audience demographics that you have and people, and it says people are generally interested in learning new skills, DIY projects, and improving their home routines.
So just from that, from figuring that out, we can go and take a look at content. DIY project content doesn't have anything to do, or it doesn't have to have anything to do with coffee making, but still, we know that our audience is also into that. So let's find some patterns and similarities of content that we can bring over to our own content from somewhere totally outside of her niche.
Here's what I kind of came out with or came up with for your content pillars to try out initially for the first 30, 45 days. First of all, recreating trending coffees from famous shops, obviously, right? Like Starbucks, like the pumpkin spice thing right now, that is trend within the trend, right?
So let's recreate that, show people, not just recreate, but show how to actually recreate that for a fraction of the price, because I know down there, people say, well, you know, they kind of want to save money and they're kind of sick of the barista $20 coffee or something like that. So that'd be one thing. You could also show your own recipes, for example, or techniques, how to create stuff.
Like people say, for example, mastering techniques, this is one of the pain points and struggles, perfecting their, you know, getting the right grind size, for example, milk texture, stuff like this. Then any type of latte art related content, I could see that you were actually into that a lot. And then one thing that I just thought about, which could be really cool is to, you know, letting your friends write your coffee replicas.
So give them the Starbucks one, the real one and give them yours. And then let them rate it or strangers on this outside of a Starbucks, for example, maybe you'd have to blur it out though, and try to rate that and just have some sort of cool, awesome content thing going on. It doesn't matter if they say, well, the Starbucks one is way better, still cool.
You know, I'd still post that, you know, this just being a very, very baseline content pillars strategy. And from there on, obviously, these are just rough pillars. From there on, we kind of need to build secondary built pillars, basically, and branch out and try try out various formats within them.
So no voiceover videos, different content styles, you being on camera or not being on camera, and you know, mostly, we need to play around with the hooks with exact hook structure, and the whole packaging side of things. And once you have that down, and you create content for a month or two months, you have a pretty good understanding of what actually works or not, especially if you collect the data. You know, that's what we do.
I obviously have what I call the data driven content framework, which is essentially that what we do. We build the content strategy, we have clients posts, we monitor that closely, we take in some data after a while. And then we see what worked, what didn't work.
And then we make some switches, and we tweak some things. Again, if we just take a look at this whole basic framework and research what we did, along with the avatars, just that in and itself will probably give you ideas for 500 videos, maybe even more, you know that have the potential to not only go super viral, but you also have a profile now that keeps these people if you go viral on your profile, and then makes them follow you. And then they'll come back for more content because they know it's easy to find it because of the pillars because of the way your profile structure.
Now, if you want me to go a little deeper into these things, obviously, just let me know in the comments, I'll make some videos about that, obviously. But if you want me and my team to create you something like that, a personal content strategy, and also if you want us to help you execute this whole thing, you know, basically us guiding over you, we'll have you running, we'll actually do the most important things for you, but we'll have you running in just a few weeks. And then we'll actually help you execute this whole thing and course correct this whole thing for a full year.
And if you want to do that, just fill out the application form down below, hop on a call with me or my team. And we'll take a look at how we can help you if we can help you, we'll give you some pointers already. And if you miss basically part one of this series, you need to watch this video next.
Because you know, none of this what we just talked about is going to help you at all. If you don't have all of these things down that we talked about right there.
