so she called his name Moses saying because I drew him out of the [Music] water many years ago in the land of Egypt the children of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly multiplied and grew exceedingly Mighty and the land was filled with them but there arose a new king over Egypt who did not know Joseph and he said to his people look at the children of Israel there are too many of them and they are stronger than we are we must make plans to stop them from growing stronger if there is a war they might
join our enemies defeat us and escape from the land the Egyptians decided to make life hard for the Israelites they forced the Israelites to work harder and harder but the harder they worked the more they grew and spread and the more the Egyptians became afraid of them so the Egyptians made them work even harder they forced the Israelites to work hard at making bricks and mortar and to work hard in the fields the Egyptians showed no mercy in all the hard work they made the Israelites do yet the Israelites continued to have more children and
they became very strong so the king Pharaoh gave this command to his own people if the Hebrew women give birth to a baby girl let her live but if they have a baby boy you must throw him into the river during this time there was a man named amram from the family of Levi who decided to marry a woman named yied from the tribe of Levi she became pregnant and gave birth to a baby boy the mother saw how beautiful the baby was and hid him for 3 months after 3 months she made a basket
and covered it with tar so that it would float then she put the baby in the basket and put the basket in the river in The Tall Grass the baby's sister stayed and watched to see what would happen to the baby in a basket made ofs he gently trips away on the sof waves beneath the light of day his sister by the shore her eyes are wide and bright watching over Moses till he Fades from side little Moses on the rers CH to flow the sky so fast above you and the world be L love

it and behold the baby wept so she had compassion on him and said this is one of the Hebrews children then his sister said to Pharaoh's daughter shall I go and call a nurse for you from the Hebrew women so that she may nurse the child for you and Pharaoh's daughter said to her go so the maiden went and called the child's mother then Pharaoh's daughter said to her take this child away and nurse him for me and I will give you your wages so the woman took the child and nursed him and the child
grew and she brought him to Pharaoh's daughter and he became her son so she called his name Moses saying because I drew him out of the water as Moses grew he could not ignore the suffering of his people one day witnessing an Egyptian beating a Hebrew man he acted in a fit of rage and slayed the Egyptian the next day Moses saw two Hebrew men fighting each other he saw that one man was wrong and said to him why are you hurting your neighbor the man answered Did anyone say you could be our ruler and
judge tell me will you kill me as you killed the Egyptian yesterday fearing for his life Moses fled to the desert of Midian where he lived in Exile as a Shepherd there he married Zapora the daughter of a priest and bore a son named gersam a long time p and the king of Egypt died but the Israelites were still forced to work very hard they cried for help and God heard them God heard their painful cries and remembered the Covenant he made with Abraham Isaac and Jacob God saw the Troubles of the Israelites and he
knew that he would soon help them one day Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law the priest of Midian and he led the flock to the back of the desert and came to Horeb the the Mountain of God he saw a bush that was burning without being consumed by the Flames so he decided to go closer to the bush and see how a bush could continue burning without being burned up so when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look God Called to him from the midst of the Bush and said Moses
Moses and he said here I am then he said do not draw near this place take your sandals off your feet for the place where you stand is Holy Ground I am the god of your father the god of Abraham the god of Isaac and the god of Jacob and Moses hid his face for he was afraid to look upon God and the Lord said I have surely seen the oppression of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their task Masters for I know their sorrows so I have come
down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land to a land flowing with milk and honey to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the amorites and the perizzites and the hivites and the jebusites now therefore Behold The Cry of the children of Israel has come to me and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppressed them come now therefore and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people the children of
Israel out of Egypt but but Moses said to God who am I that I should go to pharaoh and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt so he said I will certainly be with you and this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you when you have brought the people out of Egypt You Shall Serve God on this mountain then Moses said to God indeed when I come to the children of Israel and say to them the god of your fathers has sent me to you and they say
to me what is his name what shall I say to them and God said to Moses I am who I am thus you shall say to the children of Israel I am has sent me to you then Moses answered and said but suppose they will not believe me or listen to my voice suppose they say the Lord has not appeared to you so the Lord said to him what is that in your hand a rod cast it on the ground so he cast it on the ground and it became a serpent and Moses fled from
it then the Lord said to Moses reach out your hand and take it by the tail that they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers the god of Abraham the god of Isaac and the god of Jacob has appeared to you the Lord also instructed Moses to place his hand in his cloak and when he withdrew it it was leprous after placing it back and withdrawing it again his hand was miraculously restored Moses expressed his reluctance to lead by highlighting his lack of eloquence but God reassured him stating that he would be with
Moses and teach him what to say when Moses still hesitated God's anger kindled and he appointed Aaron moses' Brother to speak on his behalf while instructing Moses to perform signs with the rod after this encounter Moses took his wife and his sons and set them on a donkey and he returned to the land of Egypt Moses and Aaron with a heart full of faith and obedience approached Pharaoh with a bold request from the Lord let my people go so they may hold a feast in the wilderness wildness but Pharaoh said who is the Lord that
I should obey his voice to let Israel go I do not know the Lord nor will I let Israel go undeterred Moses and Aaron pleaded again emphasizing the need to sacrifice to the Lord lest he strike them with plagues or the sword but Pharaoh's heart hardened further he accused the Hebrew slaves of laziness and order the task Masters to no longer Supply straw for Brick making yet demand the same quota of bricks this harsh decree burdened the Hebrews who now had to gather their own straw without any reduction in their workload Pharaoh continued to harden
his heart and refused to let the children of Israel go Moses and Aaron following God's command demonstrated a miracle by turning Aaron's Rod into a serpent before Pharaoh whose magicians replicated the feet but Aaron's rods swallowed their rods yet Pharaoh's heart remained hardened the Lord instructed Moses and Aaron to warn Pharaoh that the Waters of the Nile would be turned to blood if he refused to let the Israelites go and when Pharaoh remained unyielding Aaron struck the river with his Rod turning all the Waters of Egypt to blood killing the fish and making the water
undrinkable despite The Magicians replicating this sign Pharaoh's heart remained hardened and the Egyptians were forced to dig for water elsewhere this was the first of 10 plagues that the Egyptians would face God sent a plague of frogs that infested all of Egypt but after Pharaoh begged Moses to intercede and the frogs were removed Pharaoh hardened his heart again and refused to release the Israelites then Aaron struck the dust with his Rod it turned into lice infesting all of Egypt and although Pharaoh's magicians acknowledged this as the work of God Pharaoh's heart remained hardened and he
refused to listen so God sent swarms of flies that filled Egypt except for Goan prompting pharaoh to relent temporarily and request moses' intercession but once the Flies were removed Pharaoh hardened his heart and refused to release the Israelites so God sent a severe pestilence that killed all the livestock of Egypt but spared the livestock of the Israelites yet Pharaoh's heart remained hardened and he still refused to release the Israelites then Moses and Aaron scattered ashes as God had commanded causing painful boils on all Egyptians and their animals but despite the suffering Pharaoh's heart remained hardened
and he refused to listen God sent a devastating hail storm which struck Egypt except for go leading pharaoh to confess his sin and promis to release the Israelites but once the storm ceased he and his servants hardened their hearts and refused to let them go then God sent a devastating plague of locusts to cover Egypt consuming all remaining crops and causing pharaoh to briefly repent and request relief but after the locusts were removed Pharaoh's heart was hardened again and he refused to let the Israelites go God sent a palpable Darkness over Egypt for 3 Days
leading pharaoh to offer a compromise on the Israelites departure but Moses refused the offer insisting on taking all their livestock and Pharaoh's heart remained hardened resulting in a final confrontation where he threatened Moses with death if he returned then the Lord said to Moses I will bring one more plague on pharaoh and on Egypt afterward he will let you go from here when he lets you go he will surely drive you out of here altogether God instructed Moses and Aaron to prepare for the Passover by having each household sacrifice a blemish-free lamb spread its blood
on their doorposts and eat the Lamb with unleavened bread and bitter herbs all while being dressed and ready to leave in haste this act would Mark the Israelites homes so that God would pass over them during the plague of the firstborn leading to their deliverance from Egypt and the event was to be commemorated annually as the Feast of unleavened bread and it came to pass at midnight that the Lord struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt from the firstborn of pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was
in the dungeon and all the firstborn of livestock so Pharaoh Rose in the night he all his servants and all the Egyptians and there was a great cry in Egypt for there was not a house where there was not one dead after the 10th plague Pharaoh urgently told Moses and Aaron to leave Egypt with the Israelites taking their flocks and herds and blessing him as they Departed the Egyptians fearing further Calamity hastened their departure and gave the Israelites silver gold and clothing allowing them to leave quickly and begin their Journey from rameses to suo marking
the end of 400 13 years of sojourn in Egypt and establishing the night as a solemn observance for future generations and the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light so as to go by day and night God instructed Moses to Camp by the Red Sea knowing Pharaoh would pursue the Israelites leading to a confrontation by the sea as the Egyptians closed in Moses stretched out his hand over the waters and the Lord caused the sea to
go back by a strong East Wind and made the sea into dry land and the waters were divided so the children of Israel went into the midst of the Sea on the dry ground and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left and the Egyptians pursued and went after them into the midst of the sea all Pharaoh's horses his chariots and his Horsemen the pursuing Egyptians were drowned when Moses stretched out his hand over the sea and the waters returned to full depth the Israelites witnessed the destruction of
the Egyptian Army and were filled with awe and belief in the Lord and his servant Moses as they rejoiced they couldn't help but wonder what new challenges and divine wonders awaited them in the vast Wilderness ahead the journey to the land flowing with milk and honey had only just begun [Music] thanks for watching please subscribe like and share
