to shut down and then pick back up tomorrow but here's the scene as they're starting to close down you can see workers uh wrapping up and putting equipment away the scene will be secure tonight and then like I said it'll pick back up in the morning but these Crews they are determined to find the remains of Elizabeth Pard with temperatures below freezing and wind chills hovering around 7° the Search for 64-year-old Elizabeth Pard continues on in unity Township in a briefing on Thursday morning Trooper Steve lmani outlined this now recovery Mission and the work that
the crews on scene are now doing the goal is to remove the dirt and it come up from underneath and extract that dirt we are going to take that dirt and put it in separate piles we're going to have uh people there reviewing the dirt looking through it possibly if we could find a cell phone or anything that might be of significance uh we're going to bring in in cameras to help uh search through the the caverns and also uh we're going to have dogs on standby an outline drawing of the old mine shows a
Labyrinth of unstable tunnels and Chambers that the crews from liger construction are currently negotiating but the state police believe that they are getting closer to where PD's body may be I like our chances when we get that hole opened up that between uh having a dog available having the camera system that we have in place available using the drones and uh the expertise of the people working the excavators those guys are are are first class when it comes to their capabilities um you know we really like our chances to get close to the scene that
we need to get to and again crews are wrapping up here for uh the evening they will start searching and digging once again at first light one of the other questions though that actually was asked today and we we put to State Police is what happened to Pepper uh that that was the cat that she was looking for when she was out here on Monday night and as far as we know Elizabeth PD's cat pepper has not turned up reporting in unity Township West Morland County Christ Rose KDK TV news all right Chris thank you
