this is Martin's Lees in 2019 he was crowned the World's Strongest Man and he's massive at 6'3 325 lbs in order to be the World's Strongest Man and maintain that physique he has to endure one of the hardest diets in the world and when he's competing he has to eat around 10,000 calories according to Martine he has never had a good 10,000 calorie meal at least not one that he's actually enjoyed and so today I'm going to create the greatest strongman Omas that has ever existed can he really conquer all 10,000 calories in a single
sitting the challenge is on starting with breakfast a massive 1,000 calorie California style breakfast burrito you heat a large flour tortilla over an open flame lay down a generous amount of fresh fried french fries followed by saut pepper and onions soft scrambled eggs thick cut bacon shredded cheese melt the cheese of course roll tightly and serve with a jalapeno Crema first dish we have a c style burrito the goal today is to see if you can get the 10,000 calories but is it normal to be eating 10,000 calories a day training for a Strongman Competition
maybe 2 3 days at most would I actually get to that amount right at the end when I've got a few more workouts left and then I push it and I hate it I cannot wait to just fast my cheat day is I get to not eat hopefully this will be good enough that you want to get to the end I am ridiculously hungry right now okay you're not kidding around I don't know much about food but this feels like a dance of like Crunch and softness in my mouth and just that I like these
terminologies when you do go to 10 10K calories in a day what would be like a typical day of eating it'll be pancakes maple syrup cheesecake I'll go to like Brazilian barbecue just load up on protein lots of rice and maybe like spaghetti and meatballs and I enjoy like maybe a third of it it's not nice and you're just sweating right now I don't even need to ask myself if I need to eat this or not it's beckoning me wonderful how do you feel I feel great still got plenty of room we're looking good moving
on next up chile kiles using my recipe Link in the description for that Hot Chile Kila sauce tortilla chips tossed together which we then have a seared butter basted ribeye steak sliced beautifully placed on top followed by two fried eggs avocado Mexican Crema queso fresco red onion and cilantro but a great way to add some extra calories to a breakfast is to have a horata sweet cream cold brew with fresh grated nutmeg on top Sheil keiles fit for a strong man oh we just leveled up we going to need a foring a knife for him
as well I was just going to put my face in it that's actually what we do here this is actually more than calories even if you eat half of this you would still be a successful first I thought like the burrito 10 meals like this no problem I'm going to crush this you brought this out I'm like I see this looks like a battle of the most delicious ingredients fighting for space to be the premier breakfast food that's what I love about Sheila keiles it's something that is many experiences in one so okay you've been
doing strongman stuff essentially since you were like 10 years old my dad loved lifting and at some point he had enough of me sitting on the couch all the time playing video games he said okay so you're coming into the gym with me I was 9 years old iy said don't want to do this he said just stick with it for a year and if after a year you don't like it no more after a year I just grew addicted what made you addicted it's when I started playing Warcraft and I saw how cool the
Orcs looked all buff and stuff my family has a farm in last Fe and my grandfather was a stone sculptor I'd go to the farm and I'd lift rocks with my grandpa I should also clarify that when he says he's picking up rocks these are not like the rocks that you pick up at playground these are the rocks that would like Crush you what do a typical day of weights look like versus I'm training for a competition weights look like I like to section up my leadup to a big show into three parts there's a
learning phase where I take my time to kind of learn what deficiencies I've developed learned how I could work around injuries I'm going very light next the uh controlling phase now that everything's aligned the instrument is tuned I start slowly adding weight but with a Tempo and then finally it's that explosive phase like the final two months I'm loading on as much weight as I can trying to get as powerful as I can and just lifting with Reckless abandon that's a lot of work I think people think you guys just rolling and just start picking

a Ultra thick boy HB style burger with onion rings this is an 8 oz chunky boy burger patty seasoned generously with salt and pepper seared beautifully on both sides still about medium I then placed a coin of Matra compound butter on top little parsley ch garlic melt that down that gets a Brio bun toasted my In-N-Out burger sauce then the I still pickle your burger patty American cheese thick sliced bacon and finally our sauce top bun then of course the onion rings are going to be served fresh fried enjoy I wanted to do something a
little bit Chiller but also fun this burger alone is probably 1,000 calories well I still want to try one of these onion rings it's got a perfect amount of crunch and softness on the head you keep nailing that one burgers are one of my favorite foods that is special wow not just a strong man it's almost like full-time strongman part-time YouTuber what's the story there Roar and I both like Parts unnown thought what if we just went the strength throughout of this let's find weird strength Feats or Sports around the world that people just typically
don't know about when you're doing Feats of Strength and you're competing can you get hurt doing these things I think if you just take it methodically slowly progress with good form and technique it's fairly safe but the issue is when we're competing we have to push the pedal to the metal no doubt I've been hurt many times boom he as the last bite Martin 3,000 in baby 3,000 in on to the next next is one of our biggest courses of all a whole rack of lamb with fresh baked flatbread baked in our gny oven love
this thing this rack of lamb has been sou locki spiced pan roasted to a medium rare Perfection and on our platter we have homemade satii and lemones tomb which is a garlic sauce fresh sliced cucumber hummus of course dressed beautifully and her flatbread to a company but that's not all we are doubling up and alongside we are serving him another big platter smoke Texas brisket glazed slow cooked fall off the bone tender ribs and around that we have pickled jalapeno still pickles pickled red onion potato salad col sloth baked beans and finally some fresh Texas
bread two courses into one we're calling the platter event this is probably like 10,000 calories right here this is a special moment so you don't need to finish these platters I'll eat like a good chunk a good chunk and a good chunk and you're good I think I'm going to start with what I think is a little lighter I love this it is so good this is getting harder getting harder en what are some of your favorite foods overall number one Mediterranean for sure a platter like this is exactly my dream food number two probably
Sushi and then barbecue which is probably my favorite flavor of all foods you were in the country Georgia yeah while you were there there was the church bell I want to hear about that I've been to the country Georgia before to see my friend Constantine janasia we were just sitting eating Kali and he told me that there is this place it's in the caucus mountains where there's this church that has this spinetti Bell you have to pick this Bell up it has these two kind of shoulder straps like rings made of metal no padding no
padding they're just kind of jagged edges and you just kind of put them on your shoulders and you have to swing this Bell and they say it's 100 kilos maybe it was the altitude or something but that thing was so brutally heavy really yeah I got it to ring yes it was something special martinz you're fighting how are we feel if I eat like too much of this I'm going to pop before uh we get to the end we're going to make it so we're on to the Barbecue Round I'm honestly shocked he's still going
I got it Soldier on you're doing great this some of the best barbecue I've had it's the smoke that makes it so special that jalapeno with the meat it's such a perfect combo it's the thing that makes you go back for another bite it is where are you at right now how are you feeling starting to get pretty bad and guys we're getting close to 5,000 calories in under 3 hours oh I got to hold on oh it's so good in one sitting I'm very good at eating a lot M delicious Martin is killing it
he's done it let's move on so we've got a bit of a problem Martins is hitting a wall only halfway through at 5,000 calories still an incredible feat but I have a feeling one of his favorite foods might bring him back to life a fullsize sushi boat with 12 pieces of assorted niri shrimp temper rolls spicy tuna rolls California rolls garnished with a spicy edamame sauce caramelized miso sauce fresh herbs Thai Basil cilantro fried chots served with ginger Wasabi and soy sauce but we're not stopping there we're pairing this boat with two major courses for
one of the biggest rounds ever hopefully this will help him out first up a stacked tempora course prawns or shrimp in our tempora batter fried until a crispy golden brown and we've done the same with sweet potato broccoli and served nicely with a tempora tenens suyu sauce adding on to that we have a Thai fried fish with Nam Jim I mean it does look pretty right if things are pretty they're good to eat that sounds weird don't take that the wrong way a whole fish scaled and deep fried till the skin is ridiculously crispy served
with several spoonfuls of n gym sauce spicy Fresno chili green onion garlic ginger red pepper little acidity from rice vinegar and some Umami fish sauce top that with an herb salad served with lime wedges and freshly steamed rice sushi Invasion come with that looks nice let's go Sushi this is a flash back to all my travels to Japan it's one of my favorite countries to go to and we were shooting an episode on chick to eat ancient lifting stones of Japan so I went from Shrine to Shrine lifting stones that were supposedly not lifted since
the 1800s or before in Japanese Riki is a term that's used for both strongman and sumo wrestlers one of the first shrines I did it at there was a statue of the previous suiki strongman that had lifted these Stones a couple hundred years ago and I was the first one to lift them since then wow it was really cool that's really cool this is insane so we're moving on to the next tempora come on Martin you got this Martin think about the prize the prize of prize is this shrimp right here so you lived in
train with Suma wrestlers for 3 days what was that like you enter a modern building you walk down this little hallway you see like old dusty weights on the side you see Sumo belts kind of hung up and then you enter this pristine beautiful room with bamboo walls dirt on the ground and natural lighting and then these guys were already doing their sheep go their warm-ups the Stomps I thought okay this would be simple right 10 minutes in I thought okay this is got to end at some point pretty soon right 30 minutes goes by
I'm sweating like just drenched my legs are shaking cramping and these guys are just stoic looking like a machines going one rep after the next and eventually it's like my mind just went blanked I just kept going with them an hour of this and that was their warmup then the training started Martine has wrapped up the tempora he's fighting he's sweating I'm a strong man nothing can defeat Martin not even this beautiful fried fish with an Nam Jen it's herbaceous it's refreshing the words that you're saying typic Ally would have me drooling and just anticipating
cannot wait to eat the next thing but I'm not going to lie to you at this point I'm like no no more Joshua don't tell me about this stuff I'm just going to do my job this is amazing thank you so you went to Lassa to bet what was one of the craziest things that happened to you there I've been to some fairly high altitude places nothing could prepare me for Lassa it was over 4,000 m above sea level one of the highest elevation cities in the world so that's over 14,000 ft and we arrive
and we have a very tight schedule we got the green light to shoot the culture strength there but we only had 3 days to do it and what they suggest is 3 days to acclimate before you even leave the hotel and do any kind of physical activity then the very next day we had to drive to 5,000 m altitude that's Mount Everest Base Camp 177,000 ft and we drove there to attempt Tibet Stone lifting on the drive there I felt like my vision was going blurry but I was just thinking survive survive and then we
got out eventually to do some Stone lifting the stones could range from anywhere between 100 kg or 200ish lb up to 175 kilos or 380 something lb I'm barely able to stand at this point my eyes are turning bloodshot red and I'm thinking okay do whatever it takes I just do the stone lift I ran maybe 20 ft dropped the stone I was just puffing on oxygen the rest of the day just trying to stay conscious and later I found out that I was pretty close to having an aneurism on that one my God that
was not smart so Martin is known for putting himself through things as he is today I don't think this will give me an aneurysm so I'll keep going so how are you feeling martines oh there's more food to be had I just took a little nap with my eyes open and I'm ready incredible work incredible stories we're moving on to the very final round this is the dessert round we have two desserts which will Top us off at a total of 10,000 monstrous calories let's get into it first dessert course we have browned butter Rice
Krispy treat coffee ice cream sandwiches our last and final course a double-sized slice of Basque cheesecake to with a peach kumquat marmalade and a dollop of shant Tilly cream this is really going to put a big Theory to the test do we always have room for dessert Martine you all right I'm coming that's not the way I came in don't tell me that's a rice krispy these are the final plates to get you to 10,000 calories I cannot say no at this point he's defeated the Rice Krispies onto the final dish 9,000 calories with only
a few bites left to go can Martine bring it home and complete the 10,000 calorie Gauntlet all this is cool this is bass cheesecake this one of the favorite visits in my all my Journeys and that takes me back in the bass country they have the strongest Stone lifters I've ever seen in the world I thought I was one of the best stone lifters in the world they absolutely humbled me I and that's a tap it's been a gauntlet man doesn't stop the ribs didn't beat me the brisket couldn't defeat me lamb couldn't defeat me
took a cheesecake never thought that's what defeat would taste like but it's not defeat I call this a win is this the best 10,000 calorie strong man meal that there could be I have not had better and I'm saying that from a genuine place that was the best assortment of food I've ever had in one day that's a win on both sides martines did such a good job so for his efforts through this entire challenge we'll be giving him a brand new gny pizza oven courtesy of gos I have wanted a pizza of it congratulations
