this is a list of all of the free apps I use in relation to running my Instagram business what's up everyone it's Millie I'm an influencer coach welcome back to my channel where I post videos every Wednesday teaching you the latest strategies and Trends on social media to help you grow your brand and every Sunday you get a behind the- scenes look of what it's like to run a business as an influencer first I want to say a huge thank you to this video shout outs I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for all of
your love and support so if you want to shout out in one of my future videos be sure to screenshot yourself watching this and tag me over on Instagram stories for leave a comment below and subscribe to my channel as always time Stamps will be in the comments down below because I value your time and you already know why you're here so let's get into it I'll be splitting up this video into two sections so the first section will be apps that I use for photo and video specifically and then the second half of the
video will be for Content creation planning organizing all the things and while 90% of these apps that I'm mentioning are actual apps that you can use on your phone some of them I only use on my desktop so when we get to those apps I'll be sure to just say hey I only use this on desktop because I prefer it that way so you wel welcome the first app we're going to be talking about is the app that I use for all of my video editing whether it's my stories Instagram reals or Tik Tok videos
and that is cap cut cap cut is also the sponsor of today's video but whether or not they're sponsoring this video they would absolutely be included in here because I probably use this app the most because video is the dominant type of content right now online and so I'm probably creating video content more than any other content types out there so when I'm editing on the go I need to do a quick edit on my phone this is the one to use so this is the Simplicity of the app let me just open one of
my videos this is a story that I recorded for brand collaboration you can just upload all of the files that you have you can adjust the length of it you can adjust the speed speed it up adjust the volume something that I use a lot especially when I'm transferring Instagram reals over to Tik Tok and vice versa is the extract audio button because then you can extract audios from maybe like your favorite Tik Tok video and then you can make your own real using a Tik Tok talk sound that you found so that's something that
I use often also the voice over feature I use a lot to record voiceovers for like tutorials another feature that I think a lot of people Overlook is the format option you can change the format depending on where you're putting your content out so typically for Instagram reals Tik toks you have 9 x 16 but for YouTube videos like this it's 16 by9 and then Instagram like the portrait view of Instagram is 3x fours you could do one by one but nobody uses one by one anymore that's long gone but yeah you have a bunch
of different format options so you can upload one video to multiple content types or multiple platforms capka is absolutely free you can create and save your videos without any watermarks adding to the video all of the features that you see here adding stickers if you wanted to add like a video on top of a video or a photo on top of a video you can do that and say let's just add this one so now I have another video here where I could be like hey in this video and I'm talking about that one so
all of the features are absolutely free to use you don't have to upgrade to have access access to those things and it's available on both iPhone and Android so win-win if you want to use cap cut to edit your Instagram reals or your Tik Tok videos or any video on your phone for that matter you can use the link in the description below I'll be linking every app down in the description box below for you to test out use and try them for yourself the next oops the next app that you can use or that
I've used before is lens buddy lens buddy is really helpful for when you are taking content by yourself or taking pictures by yourself and you only have your phone hello YouTube setup so basically what you can do is you get to set a timer you get to set how many photos are taken after the timer counts down and you get to select the intervals between each photo being taken so that way you can set up your phone stand in front of it set the timer maybe choose let's say 10 photos are being taken or 25
photos are being taken and you want them to be taken every 1 second and that way we will do countdown timer to 5 Seconds cool now when we press it 5 4 3 2 imagine I'm posing I have like pose pose pose pose and that way when you're posing in front of the camera you could be like ooh but like cooler and like Cooler Than Me yeah so that is really helpful when you are out creating content by yourself you just want to set up your phone real fast take a few quick photos you get
a bunch and you're able to create more organic photos that way instead of having to just do like one pose it's like you get to move throughout the pictures which I feel creates more authenticity within those photos the next app we're going to be talking about is after you take those photos and you're like I want them to look so amazing I Ed the Lightroom app the Lightroom app is completely free for the mobile version if you have Lightroom for your desktop you do have to pay for that so if you're just using the mobile
version you're fine so with this photo if I wanted to go in and edit it I actually have all of my presets here these are from Ariel ve you can follow her on Instagram I have her presets they're the presets that I use for every photo so if you want those presets I'll link them down below as well but these are all of her presets I already have them saved on my phone so that way I could just click adjust as I go it's like if I see this I'm like oh that's a little too
orange I could go in select color select mix select the orange bring the saturation down a little bit so it's not too in your face or I could adjust the Vibrance maybe it's the Vibrance that needs bringing down yeah the Vibrance was a little much and then the contrast is a little much but those highlights definitely need to go down you know what I mean so that's the app that I used to edit all of my photos if Lightroom is intimidating for you because it was intimidating for me for like 2 years I refused to
use Lightroom because I was scared of it I didn't know how to edit and I was scared of it if you want a more friendly editing app I started out using visco V I have a whole video on how you can find your own editing style using visco it's a really handy dandy hack for you so you can watch that video or you can use a color story I love a color story because they partner with other influencers to create bundles of kind of preset bundles so a color story is another great alternative the next
app that I use for photo editing is retouch retouch I don't remember I think it was free when I got it but I also got this like 4 years ago so I don't know if fits for right now but it is so perfect for removing objects from your photo it is so easy let me show you how so for retouch I'm going to use actually I think a picture that I used this on was this photo so this was like really quickly edited for a Tik Tok this is not like the finalized version but as
you you can see up top there's like that sprinkler and then here you can see the background table stand thing so I just want to get rid of a few of those things so I'm just going to select object removal zoom in highlight It Go Boom object removed going to zoom in sometimes it takes a few swipes so I think this one it'll probably take a few goes but you know what it's fine that was pretty good Boop go and we're just going to be okay with it sometimes like when you zoom out can you
even tell can you even tell no you cannot tell this I don't want this candle here Boop go gone this I don't want that go gone be gone love it if I want to remove the entire freaking door go and it's gone you know what I mean so retouch is freaking amazing I use it often often often and then the final video/ photo editing app is pixart I used to use over to layer images so the last picture you saw of me floating in the bed I took two separate photos one was of the tea
on the bed so that it didn't spill and then a separate photo was me flying in the air and then I layered those two photos together without using Photoshop because I'm intimidated by anything that's scary and hard to use that's why I didn't use Lightroom for the first two years but I would use over or pixart over just recently like rebranded and they I don't understand them anymore I don't use that app so my preferred method is pixart with pixart this one is one where it's like you can use the free version or you can
upgrade to get access to these features so they do have a free version and a paid version I don't remember which one I use but for example let's open this photo so I just added this picture and then what I'm going to do is add another photo we're going to add this photo here we're going to go to the Eraser AO yeah we're going to the Eraser so we're going to move this photo like I want it to be like I'm in the mirror but we're going to first erase some of the edges so I'm
going to erase the edges make it a little softer around the edges um you could adjust the hardness so that the edges are more soft but we want to see where this looks see that and then keep erasing until you see the mirror oh yeah look at that and then if you want to get real oops restore real precise you could go through Define the edges so it doesn't look too obvious you know what I mean and that's how you layer photos on pixart before jumping into this second half of the video I want to
ask those of you who are watching this video and are not already subscribed to my channel to subscribe this is where I share all of my free tips and advice and if you love free stuff then clicking that subscribe button pressing the thumbs up or the like is a great way to support me and my business so it would be greatly appreciate because I really do try to pump out as much free content and valuable content to all of you who are subscribed let's move on to the second half of the video where it's more
content creation planning organizing all the things now that you have the photos how do you create content and schedule blah blah blah you you get it you get you catch my drift next let's talk about creating graphics for Instagrams Graphics specifically like these here where they're Carousel educational Graphics I use canva this is one of those apps where they have an app but I don't use the app I prefer to do it on my desktop because it's so much quicker and easier to use they do have the free version of canva but of course there's
always that option to upgrade I used the free version of canva for like the first two years of my business and then it wasn't until I started generating more income where I was like okay let's let's get a little fancy let's pay for things and then I upgraded to the pro version which so great so great let me tell you the next app when it comes to planning out the aesthetic of my feed or like what my feed looks like I use canva I know that's not very typical a lot of people like to use
apps like later Unum plany all the things but since I'm already in canvas so much creating Graphics I thought I would just make it easy on myself and stay in canva to plan out my content if you're like what the crap how do you plan out your feed in canva I have an entire video here that shows you exactly what I do to plan out my feed so I could see oh I like this color here or this photo here and then I can plan one week two weeks one month into the future so this
video will be extremely helpful for those of you who want to learn how to plan out your feed within canva now when it comes to organizing your content I use clickup for that so I didn't use clickup at first I used Trello as somebody who is a solopreneur I was on my own doing planning my Instagram feed by myself Trello is the way to go I love Trello I have a video on it man I have so many videos I'm referencing wow so much free content so much free value I have a full tutorial here
showing how I plan out my Instagram using Trello as a solopreneur as I started branching out to multiple platforms where I have Instagram Tik Tok YouTube my email list my blog and as I started putting out so much more content I needed somewhere to keep everything more organized and cohesive so that's where I use clickup that's where clickup comes in I have a social media manager that helps me oversee all of my content we plan everything out one month in advance it's amazing so the board is here under content calendar I've never used this this
is one of those apps where I don't typically use my phone for it so I've never used it but here as you could see this is where we plan everything YouTube Tik Tok Instagram blog and email so that's the task view you can also go to list View Board view calendar view so for the board view I have different people in charge of different things so I have one person that writes my emails one person that turns my YouTube videos into blogs one person that manages my Instagram account I do Tik Tok and I do
YouTube and all the things so we could see where each individual person is at or you could go to the calendar view to see an overview of like hey what's coming up let's go to by the month yeah so you can't really see it on the phone view but on desktop you can see the list of all the content pieces Wednesdays are our biggest content days where as you could see here we have um a YouTube video a blog post and a Tik Tok video we also have Instagram that went up this day but we
were still kind of organizing the content calendar so that is how we organize all the content we're coming up with ideas where we put our ideas where we put the inspiration how to come up with the captions that's all happening in in clickup okay now that you are planning and scheduling out your content if you need to find a list of hashtags I got you I got you I got the app for you okay well it's not an app what you're going to do you're going to go to Safari you're going to go to hashtags
slayer.com and create an account because hashtags Slayer is the best when you log in you're going to press this button like you're going to share it and then you're going to click add to home screen and it will add on the home screen for you after you make your account so right now it looks like I have the hashtags Slayer app there is no app app for it yet but this is what I use so hasht Slayer pretty freaking awesome my favorite tool to do when you're in hashtag Slayer is to search your competitors's hashtags
and see what hashtags are performing well for them so I could go like this I could type in I don't know who my competitors are um love Brock I don't know if he's a competitor but I'm a fan so I'm going to use him as an example don't know his Instagram Brock 11 Johnson if he uses hashtags this is going to work great so I probably should have checked to see if he used hashtags but it's going to analyze my competitors pull up a list of hashtags that work well for them and not only that
but it's going to tell me which hashtags will work well for my account so that's fantastic as you can see on the right hand side competition it category it says hi hi hi so he doesn't use hashtags very often but to keep an eye out for is that little target symbol that target symbol means this could be a good one that's a bullseye hashtag you have enough engagement to get ranked higher with this hashtag so even though this is higher competitive based off of my engagement and my audience interaction this could be a great Target
hashtag for me but yeah the competitor one is my favorite and then even I have collections I've created collections based off of different categories that I talk talk about or content pillars that I talk about and then I could just go to like the Instagram collection here's a list of all of my hashtags that I could use pick the ones that are relevant to that post before posting and then copy them to put in the caption and then the last app is probably the only one that's like not an app but it's a tool worth
mentioning because it is free the last thing that you could do if you're somebody who you're working full-time you're on the go you don't have time to post to Instagram all the time you can schedule your posts to post for you photo only photo only carousels only I don't think they have like reals capability yet but still it's helpful nonetheless you could go to Instagram Creator Studio this is through Facebook if you have your Instagram connected to a Facebook account or Facebook business account this is such a timesaver this is something that I was doing
for the first like month or two when I was training somebody to take over for me for Instagram so I had already batch created a bunch of content scheduled it to Auto poost for me on Instagram and I just let it fly I let it run I will say engagement definitely went down it definitely went down because I wasn't posting live and I wasn't there to interact with people as I was posting so I will say it is something you can you have to think about is that a hit that you want to take is
that that's too aggressive is that a blow that you want to take is that worth risking are you going to risk it for the biscuit there we go we'll do that one here's a list of some honorable mentions I noticed the time is ticking and I don't want to take up more of your time but these are a few honorable mentions apps that I've used apps that I stand by apps that you can absolutely look into for running your business definitely check these ones out as well so those are all the apps tools that I
use in relation to Instagram specifically I have plenty other ones that I use in relation to YouTube or for Tik Tok or for managing my business organizing things brand collaborations email all all the things I have so many other tools that I use but if you just want to master Instagram and use tools with Instagram these are the ones to use if you've made it this far and you're not already subscribed to my channel be sure to hug that subscribe button and turn on the Bell notifications so you don't miss when I post my next
video by will'll see you in the next one thanks so much for watching follow your joy [Music] bye
