okay Jabron we're in front of the Whiteboard again and if you can see there's like a steps here I'm going to give y'all my three steps for Success kind of a lame business Guru kind of video now I'm going to try to put a lot of information in here not a lot of fluff the reason I'm making this video is I have made a lot of money and there's a lot of things that I did uh like intuitively in my career that set me up to make a lot of money and I'm going to share
that with You' now because a lot of these douchebag gurus that I see on here they're giv all these tips it's almost like they think there's like some magic password of like things you can say to people to to get business to get wealthy and there's like some shortcuts and so I'm going to and this is not going to be a fun video for like if you think it's really easy I'm probably going to crush your dreams on this video okay so before I give you the steps there are some prerequisites to this that I'm
not really going to go over too much whatever this applies to almost all Industries almost but it has to be a high ceiling industry so like what I mean by that is like social work isn't in there you know uh restaurant work isn't in there there's going to be a lot of jobs that it you know the the the ceiling isn't very high like even the high-end people don't do too well okay so it's got to be a high cealing industry and then the second factor is it's got to be results oriented and what I
mean by that is like it's not subjective like the results are concrete so like like art is one of those things if you want to be like a Craftsman you want to make like some sort of wood thing you sell that's not a results oriented industry that's something that people it's it's more like a preference-based thing or like what people like and you can make money at that but it's not I don't know how to make money at that so that's not what I'm talking about so we got to have high ceiling industry results oriented
industry okay so the first step to making a lot of money and this is again this is back of the class version this is I don't got a rich Daddy I didn't go to college I may not even graduated high school I may have a criminal record uh no one's ever helped me out I'm gonna have to do this all on my own with no resources from nobody this is your method okay so first step step one that's here no shortcuts no shortcuts slash commitment okay that's the first step no shortcut SL commitment what I
mean by that it's going to take 10 years to make money no matter what because again this is the back the class version this is the unproven version this is that you're going to do it by yourself and you're an idiot okay just like me so it's no shortcut no short cuss whoops cuts no shortcuts in commitment so you got to stick with it because I've told people before it doesn't matter what industry I was in I would have made a lot of money I could have went and sold cars I could have became an
electrician I could have became a welder I could have got into irrigation I could have started selling pumps I would have found a way to make a lot of money because of the I I accepted there's no shortcuts and I Know It Takes commitment I know I got to to commit to this in the Long Haul because you're not going to be good at anything if you do it for a year or two you have to do it for a long long time and become the best at it okay so you need to be focused
have that commitment to no shortcuts and becoming the best at your trade and that's going to the reason that's the first step is because you got to understand day one you're making no money okay and like your prospects may seem Bleak but they don't matter it does not matter we're going to do these three steps and it doesn't matter if you have a boss it doesn't matter if you have a job you're going to if you do these three things you will be so valuable so no shortcuts commitment Second Step Integrity slash reputation whoops okay
and I don't know if y'all can read that probably not I can barely read it but integrity and reputation that's the second step so always always remember that like the way you do some things is the way you do all things right and so this part here I just naturally had I just naturally cared a lot about my customers I cared a lot about their problems and like I wanted to solve them I wanted to be valuable to people and like I cared that like no matter what like accountability I should wrote integrity and accountability
because that way it's like you don't need anybody arguing with you you don't ever want to lie if somebody thinks you up and you did own it fix it make it right and then all of a sudden you build this reputation of he's honest like okay here's an example on my board over there I got a job that was $1 13,450 okay sold it I got my material quote and we want up being able to do something a little bit different on this job and my like my total cost on that job was going to
be like $3,200 okay and I sold it for 13450 or something like that and I called the the lady who who like the the customer of mine who's this woman and I was like Hey that job we're doing off John Carpenter I think I can take about 1,500 bucks two grand off that cuz like you know the material is a lot less than I thought and like with us like changing the scope a little bit I'm going to be able to save you money I didn't have to do that but because I did that that
shows her that hey this guy's not going to he's even when there's nothing forcing me to do that no one asked me to do that no one was mad about the price I felt like it was fair to say hey we're going to do business for a long time let me let you know let me show you that like you can count on me you can trust me even if I no one's there looking I'm going to do the right thing and that builds that that reputation of int Integrity that creates like you can't get
rid of me once I'm your plumber because you know you're not going to be able to get somebody to come out and tell you the truth like I will you know that the guy that comes out isn't going to no matter what stand behind his work and so if you do that that makes you invaluable to your customers okay and here is the last step this is very important value okay so what like value is not tricking somebody into paying $800 for a you to work on their angle stop and then you sending them all
types of emails and all types of cheesy marketing that's not value value is understanding what the customer wants what are they trying to get accomplished right and then how can you solve that problem that is seriously it seems simple most people don't get it like a lot of my guys don't get it like I had um just as an example and I'll try to explain this to one of my guys he was at a clinic in Fort worth and they have to temper their water their water for like their eyewash stations has to be between
70 and 80° for them to be in compliance with their state regulatory right and the incoming water from the city was 89° so I can't temper the hot water I can't temper water to below you know 80° if my source water is 89 well there's not much we can do about that right there's not you know I went ahead and contacted the city said like is there something going on what can we do I got a guy out there but the plumber I had out there Randall I'll sell him out he was just like yeah
this lady's tripping they a know we can do about it and it's like I get it but it matters to her she called us to solve this problem we don't need to come out here and tell her what she needs to care about what she needs to think is significant we're here to solve the problem and so I pestered the City and pestered the city I kept her update I tagged her in every email I did everything I could to try to solve this problem and I charged her for this too like this wasn't free
you know what I mean and I did all that work and this lady even though we couldn't couldn't solve that problem she like was she would she told me she was like oh my God I have never I haven't been able to find a plumber that like actually cares about our problems is trying to solve it she was like just seeing how involved you were in this and that it mattered to you so much is like just great to us can you look at this other clinic for me and she gave me some other work
out of that and that was part of the process she's one of the practice managers who runs like 50 clinics or like like 20 clinics out of like the 120 I'm now taking care of who was a big part in me getting all this service work for all these clinics because I was trying to provide value okay so none of this is going to happen fast none of it like guys I was 23 years old whenever I decided I was going to quit trying to be a rock star I was going to quit like around
and commit to Plumbing I was 23 years old and I talked to my wife I was with her at that point already and I told her I was like look babe I'm smart I work hard and like I'm willing to grind this out and I think that's going to set me above everybody else in this industry because I'm a little bit sharper and I'm I'm you know my work ethic is second to none so like you know no one's going to outwork me and I told her like that night I was like you know what
I'm going to do is I'm going to start working again I'm going to do four years with this small company then I'm going to go do a couple years in residential like commission based to get a lot of money and then I'm going to go do four years uh in like industrial commercial to like really get well rounded after about 10 years I'm going to go start my own company that's exactly what I did and it worked out exactly like I planned it to work out and so because I never took shortcuts and I was
committed to the job and I didn't just quit and I realized it was a long game I realized that like I'm not going to be here in 2 years I'm not going to be here in three years I knew from day one it was 10 years minimum before I got to where I am now and it took longer than that and I'm smart as you know what I mean so like it it's not a quick thing the integrity and reputation the way you do some things is the way you do all things okay so whenever
I started the company up these came into Play Because all those customers that I got now guys I take care of huge swalls of downtown Dallas very large Airline facilities medical facilities hospitals Big Time like Municipal work I'm doing a bunch of work for I'm not going to say the cities because I don't want to tie them to me because I cuss and smoke and but like big time and all that came because these people that I did work for they knew my Integrity they knew my reputation from before I started and they knew that
the way you do some things is the way you do all things they knew I wasn't getting the profit off these jobs right I was working for another man and I wasn't getting the profit I was just getting my paycheck but if they called me at 2: a.m. it mattered I was going to get out there before I even made like made arrangements for getting paid and I was like nope I'm coming I'm your guy and so because of that once I started my company they knew what they were going to get they're like it's
probably going to be better cuz you're the one actually getting the money now and so that paid off three value is why I'm truly truly rich now okay because everything started off well everything started off well when I started the company and I had some business because of the these two steps and the things I did in my career beforehand but once I really got going and started to get cruise I had to figure out how to because no one can do what I can do right and like if if you own a company or
you're trying to start a company the guys you hire aren't going to be as good as you they're just not there or else they would own the company they'd be hiring you right so your guys aren't going to be as good as you so in order to get that value still to the customer you have to have systems you have to think how can I get a guy that can't do what I can do doesn't have the experience and the knowledge that I have but can still give the same quality of service to my customers
and so like you constantly thinking about value constantly thinking would you want to pay this much money for the service you're providing you know I did that little video the other day about like this flat rate pricing versus my pricing and I talked about the little six gallon water heater like we're providing massive value to that customer we're still doing good and we're providing massive value so they're happy I'm happy everybody's happy and that's really the secret so this is a long video I hope there's a lot of information in here for you um I
I I really can promise you though if you high ceiling job high cealing industry result oriented industry not subjective commit to it understand there's no shortcut it's going to take 10 years or better the way you do some things is the way you do all things that integrity and reputation people remember that okay they remember add value every time or else these two don't matter because you can do all this but if it's not worth it to the customer it it don't matter how good you are at this other stuff you know what I mean
these two things kind of help protect you you know as far as giving you the benefit of the doubt but if it's if you're never providing value they're never going to call you back so 12 minutes kind of long bye
