too often we complain because we do not know that God has a purpose for our delay we want the answers now but God is building something greater or preparing us for something bigger therefore understanding why God delays certain aspects of Our Lives will help us be positioned to wait on him with the right attitude what then are the reasons God delays everything about our lives number one he wants to develop a more cordial relationship with you from the beginning God has always desired a relationship with man even after the fall of Man God stopped at

nothing to arrange for his Redemption he didn't mind giving up his only son to restore man to the position of honor and dignity so if God observes that certain things in your life want to contend with that relationship he always separates you from them sometimes Comfort is a clog in the wheel of your relationship with God most of us tend to relax and not want to go deeper in our walk with God when our physical or material desires are met more reason the scripture affirms that we must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom

of God it is a psychological framework that is internally built in human beings and because there is a lot God desires to share with us and show us he introduces delay in certain aspects of Our Lives it might be difficult for the Lord to get your attention or to take you on the speculated Journey according to his desire when there is a certain level of comfort lurking around you Euphoria comfort and pleasure sometimes the toar you from Walking with God as expected let's look at this scenario you have everything you need on Earth everything according

to your timing if you are sincere with yourself there is a high chance you won't focus on your relationship with God as you already have everything you can imagine when God positions this delay around you it is like a thorn in the flesh that needs to be addressed still in addressing this delay a weightier flood of light surrounds you it's sharpens your relationship with God drawing you closer to him and building a lasting relationship Beyond material or transient things that will fade away Joseph had a dream at a very young age and this dream revealed

God's great plan for him however with each passing day it looked like the Fulfillment of this dream was longer than expected Joseph found himself in several challenging situations and one of them was when he was at pfa's house and paar's wife seduced him he defiantly refused and made a profound statement that he could not do such great wickedness and sin against God this statement shows that amid the delays of the dreams Joseph had about this life his relationship with God was being sharpened and he was getting closer to God the earlier challenges had taught him

to rely on God so that he could view his present predicament or dilemma from God's perspective and he chose God's verdict irrespective of the loss or risk he would face sometimes God delays you in building a cordial relationship with you nothing is worth more than your relationship with him if your relationship with him is established everything else Falls in place more reason the scripture highlights that you should seek the kingdom of God first and everything will be added so God is Not Wicked instead he is in intentional and faithful he wants to bless you beyond

things that will perish so use this period to draw closer to him number two he wants to fulfill his purpose in your life God is a purposeful God he has a purpose for everyone every time and season he doesn't waste resources or want to invest without prophets a relatable picture that comes to mind is the parable of the talent where the master gave one servant five talents another two talents and the last one one Talent he expected everyone to return with some profit which the first two persons did except for the servant who was given

one Talent this scenario is the same with everyone God has created there is a purpose for everyone's creation and a prophet God aims at given this God sometimes delays everything in your life because he wants to fulfill his purpose his purpose is eternal and not transient or vain so God could delay certain things you would have loved to have or possess to accomplish his purpose for instance Zechariah and Elizabeth were God's servants serving daily in the temple as priests yet they were Barren perhaps they would have prayed for several persons to conceive and many testimonies

would abound but it wasn't the case for them God had a higher purpose Beyond just having children this purpose was that he needed a family on Earth to host the one who would be Jesus's Forerunner John the Baptist he didn't find any family worthy of this except Elizabeth and zechariah's home although they were advanced in years according to the scripture God had to delay their childbirth to fulfill his purpose so John the Baptist could be a forerunner with just six months difference from Jesus Christ and Mary could receive the encouragement needed while going through the

challenges that accompanied Jesus's conception Hannah is also another example the birth of Samuel at the time he was born was not coincidence which shows that the earlier phase of baress Hannah had to go through was also not a coincidence it was an intentional tool in the future of Israel we can also trace this to the anointing of King David and his future descend ascendant Jesus Christ who will reign forever so every Delay from God isn't for fun the scripture records that the Lord closed Hannah's womb although it was for a higher purpose it takes the

Fulfillment of this purpose for us to fully understand God's intent God's delays are not impulsive they are meant to fulfill a purpose salvation so sometimes when God is delaying everything in your life it is because he has a purpose and for the purpose to be fulfilled a delay is a must because his timing is far from yours more reason the scripture says in Isaiah 55 n as the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts number three he wants to manifest his glory some

testimonies are mindblowing and Status changing and God intends to rot them in a people country or generation the scripture has different examples of such groundbreaking testimonies such as Jesus's first miracle of turning water to wine at the wedding at Kana of Galilee the man at the pool of Bethesda and feeding the 5,000 with five leaves of bread and two fishes the essence of these forms of testimony is to Accord all glory to God and emphasize God's Supremacy when this happens you only need few or no words to draw men to God because the testimony alone

will do justice to whatever you have to say sometimes God adopts this method he does an unusual Miracle to prove his Supremacy and dominion over everything in the story of the man born blind the disciples asked Jesus who sinned was it the man or his parents that the man was born blind Jesus replied that none of them sin instead this man was born blind for God's glory to manifest after Jesus healed the man this drew the attention of the neighbors and everyone around him this miracle led to the man's salvation and made him an evangelist

the woman with the issue of blood is another case study she is been battling this ailment for 12 years and had spent all her expenses on Physicians and none of this could he heal her but upon touching the Hem of Jesus's garment she received her healing visiting different Physicians must have been mentally draining and spending all her expenses consistently for 12 years must have been cost intensive however all these were for God's glory to be manifest the scripture records that Lazarus was sick and Jesus was aware of this but responded that the sickness was not

unto death but for God to be glorified he reiterated that Lazarus was sleeping and he was going to awaken him out of sleep our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep but I am going there to wake him up John 1111 the disciples didn't have a perfect understanding of what this meant and even when he told Martha that his brother would rise again Martha believed he was referring to Resurrection on the last day but Jesus saw beyond all of these he delayed his coming to heal Lazarus till his death because he wanted the name of God to

be glorified and on the third day after Lazarus had been buried in the Tomb and was smelling Jesus showed up at that point everyone already thought it was finished but there is always more to God he told them to roll away the stone which they did and he called Lazarus from the dead the Bible says that he who was dead returned to life Jesus sometimes wants to write a big story about your life he doesn't want to do the usual he wants to come in the most unusual ways and sometimes he brings delay on your

path to carve out this jaw-breaking story at the same time you don't have a perfect understanding of all of this but your disposition should be to thank him because his thoughts toward you are of peace and not evil to manifest his glory so seek God's glory at all times God's glory talks about a bigger picture there is something bigger that heaven has planned for you that you can't afford to me the Bible says that eyes have not seen ears have not heard and it hasn't entered into any man's heart the things God has prepared for

those who love him so he wants to make your life a platform for manifesting his glory your life is not ordinary and you must understand there is more to your life than what you see today the pain and discomfort are for a greater glory your womb has been set aside for the greater good your life has been separated for the greater good heaven is standing at the Finish Line ready to applaud you for your patience so look up to God for that delay number four he wants to chastise you for your Disobedience God's love towards

you does not end in pampering and comforting you sometimes he chastises and corrects you as opposed to the popular opinion that God doesn't chastise his children he does and sometimes this chastisement comes with strict measures in the form of delays however it is in a bid to establish us Paul's writing to Timothy highlighted that the scripture was written for reproof correction and instruction all in righteousness that is God's chastisement or correction is also in righteousness there are father figures or authorities in this world that chastise you based on their Ang anger frustration transferring aggression and

many more but God doesn't correct you based on any of these he corrects because he is a loving father and wants the best for you also the scripture in Proverbs establishes that whoever spares the rod hates his son but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him this chastisement is a form of love the Lord sent Jonah to the people of Nineveh to preach against their wickedness and that they should turn towards the Lord in his folly Jonah went to tares instead but God sent a great wind into the sea which threatened the ship

and eventually led to Jonah being thrown into the sea Jonah 1 17 says now the Lord provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights the scripture records that the Lord sent a large fish to swallow Jonah but the fish in this story was not from the devil but from the Lord it was to convict Jonah of his sin and unrighteous ways for the 3 days that Jonah spent in the belly of the fish everything in his life was delayed not just delayed his

life was also threatened if not for the mercies of God because who lives and survives in the belly of a fish but God wanted to bring him to a place of conviction and chastisement King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream in the scripture and desired to know the interpretation of his dream but The Magicians astrologers and enchanters couldn't interpret the dream except Daniel Daniel interpreted the dream that King Nebuchadnezzar would be driven away from the people and live with animals while feeding in the grass for 7 years however for this dream not to be fulfilled Daniel advised

that King Nebuchadnezzar should renounce his sins and wickedness by doing what is right and being kind to the oppressed however everything Daniel interpreted in the dream happened to King Nebuchadnezzar 12 years after he said is not this the great Babylon I have built as the Royal residence by my mighty power and for the glory of my Majesty Daniel 4:30 the scripture highlights that right when he was saying this a voice came from heaven and passed judgment on him God sometimes delays everything in your life because he wants to chastise you for Disobedience God's chastisement is

out of love for you the Bible says the one the father loves he chastises so your life is more precious to God than any hasty decision premature success or breakthrough so look Inward and respond positively to God number five he wants to prevent you from harm the love of God for you as his child is not quantifiable and you usually don't get to see this from his perspective the devil feeds you with lies and a wrong perspective which you would likely agree with because of your Frailty as a human but God is not that picture

the picture of who and what the devil represents can be found in the scriptures as the scripture referred to him as the father of Lies harms and dangers lurk around in the most susceptible places where a Believer is likely to fall or stumble but God in his wisdom usually prepares a way of Escape surprisingly this way of Escape can be unraveled as a delay sometimes God delays everything in your life to prevent you from harm the scripture says Redeeming the time because the days are full of evil there is so much evil that if the

Lord opens your eyes to see a glimpse of them you'd be surprised however in his Mercy he wants to save and deliver you from these harms given this he positions delays you so that you can be saved and you will not lose your life Bak the king of Moab summoned bam to curse the Israelites because he was Dreadful of them and he claimed they had more power than him bam consulted the Lord who told him not to hearken to balak's summon balak's servants returned to balac to to inform him of balam's decision balac was not

convinced he was confident that he could reward balam balam followed them however he said he had nothing to say except whatever God told him however as balam set out for this journey God was very angry with him and delayed him by sending the angel of the Lord to stand in the middle of the road but balam could not even see the angel only his donkey could the Donkey kept refraining from continuing the journey because of what he saw but baalam continued hitting the donkey until the donkey spoke and the Lord opened Bam's eyes while God

did not want bam to curse the Israelites he was preventing him from the hands of the king of Moab baham gave seven messages when he was with the king of Moab none of which aligned with his request balac could have been offended and killed him or put him in prison more reason the Lord was preventing him from going ahead because the curse wasn't an option as God blessed them number six he is preparing you for something better the creativity of God cannot be fathomed and his wisdom is beyond comprehension usually the plan you've created for

yourself sounds like the best with no Loose Ends it looks like a perfect plan you wouldn't want anything to tamper with it having a plan gives you confidence and helps you feel you are on top of a matter or a situation however God sometimes delays everything in your life because he has something better prepared for you this may sound Bleak or unreasonable because you'd feel what can be more beautiful than the plan you've etched out or what beauty wants to come out of this whole disarray you must rest assured that God has something better for

you and he sometimes introduces DeLay So that you can access the more remarkable things he has in store for you imagine you finish your higher education studies and intend to get a job still God wants you to wait for about 2 3 years doing different things to keep your body Soul and Spirit together but not necessarily regarding your career plan all this wouldn't make sense to you for any reason but there could be a skill an experience a person resilience and many other virtues that God would have you build these lessons will prepare you for

the more significant mandate or plans that God has ahead of you Ruth Naomi's daughter-in-law had lost her husband Naomi heard in Moab that the Lord had come to the aid of his people in Bethlehem and she set out to return to Bethlehem Naomi advised Ruth and orpa her daughters-in-law to return to their families and gods while orpa kissed Naomi's feet and said goodbye Ruth insisted and said she would follow Naomi wherever she went the death of Ruth's husband was a loss having to follow Naomi to an unknown destination without any plans is a form of

delay in her natural life she could have decided to remarry or follow orpa but she did none of this and followed Naomi instead during the delay and disaster she was encountering God instilled virtues in her that made her fit and suitable for the next phase of life God would bring her into God sometimes delays certain benefits and everything in your life because he has something better ahead of you so in the waiting period the right approach is to harness and maximize all the lessons the Lord will bring your way because they will be helpful in

the next phase if not well learned they will not be well applied or in some cases it will delay the opening of of the next phase beloved don't limit God in your mind no matter where you are there is something more significant the Bible says the path of a Justified is a shining light that shines more and more until the perfect day so look up for more close your eyes and imagine the more remarkable testimony God is preparing for you Joseph wanted to be free from prison and probably go back home but God delayed him

because he needed him to become Prime Minister think about it number seven he wants to make your life a testament God wants his name written on our hearts so that when men seek to know him your life can be a reference point he wants to reproduce himself in men which doesn't usually come easy it comes with many challenges delays and denials because your flesh conflicts with your spirit God's ultimate desire is to have men who will embody him fully and this is not impossible but sometimes it Demands a lot from the flesh God wants to

remove the feeling of being delayed hindered or obstructed he wants to bring you to a place where you can trust his leading at every point that is how you can be like him after Saul was convicted on his way to Damascus the Lord sent ananas to place his hands on Saul's eyes to restore his sight and more so God emphasized showing Paul great things he must suffer for the Kingdom's sake God loves Paul and he loves you as well however to become a testament there are sufferings that you must bear and sometimes they come in

the form of delays Abraham is a testament to the fact that it is God's desire for humans to become like him in conversations behaviors and conduct while Abraham was going through challenges in childbirth God was ridding him of Flesh and helping his heart to respond to his bidding swiftly the scripture recorded that Abraham believed in God which was counted to him for righteousness also when Abraham's herders had issues with lot's herders Abraham had a level of patience and spiritual inclinations to allow lot to have his way after that lot experienced an attack and when Abraham

heard about this he went out with his servants to help lot in addition Abraham hosted three visitors who were angels in disguise he didn't know them from anywhere but was keen on serving them and making them comfortable in the middle of this they pronounced God's blessing on Sarah saying that Sarah would have a son by the coming year after Abraham had the son God told him to offer his son Isaac a burnt offering which Abraham didn't argue or contemplate with God instead he took Isaac with him and was going to offer Isaac whom he had

waited more than two decades to have until God showed up saying now I know that you fear God because you have not withheld your son from me and provided a ram in place of Isaac for the offering although Abraham's delay was childbearing it established him in righteousness and today many Christians are still learning from his faith walk and lifestyle in trusting God at some point the Bible says in Genesis 1817 then the Lord said shall I hide from Abraham what I'm about to do so wait and allow God to do the complete work he has

ordained for you let us pray dear God I'm grateful that your thoughts towards me are of peace and not evil to give me an expected N I appreciate your loving kindness which has accompanied me from birth until now I celebrate your rulership over Heaven and Earth you own the heavens Earth and time and use all of these to your glory and my establishment thank you so even when I experience seemingly looking delays I have gratitude in my heart and I understand better that your mercy speaks to and saves me from destruction I am sincerely grateful

that you are not tired of consistently bringing light my way so I can know your intent for my life as each season unfolds dear heavenly father delays can be quite tiring and time consuming from my lenses but with your strength I know that I can achieve and maximize all that you have prepared for me in the season of my delays I ask oh God that in your mercy you will send great strength my way so I can withstand the challenges that come with delays I also ask that you bless me with wisdom and that my

eyes will be enlightened so I can see what you are doing and not yield to the noise in and around me I ask that the volume of your light flooding my path be greater than the noise I'm surrounded with I pray that you will send me the grace to acknowledge every resource you bring so that these seasons will be less complicated dear God I confess that I am frail and weak and sometimes I desire to see quick work done in me as you do in my peer I ask that you will circumcise my heart such

that my heart can be pure and there will be no case of comparison as I Journey with you I pray that you will help my heart to focus on everything true honest just pure and lovely and my eyes will gaze upon you so I can follow through your processes without grumbling or murmuring like Joseph even when I catch a glimpse of your promises help me stay true to the process you'll be taking me through like Ruth I pray that you help me to be sensitive to know how to endure and Trust the leaders and authorities

you have over me and that I will not be familiar with the instructions you have placed in their mouth for me like Zechariah and Elizabeth may you find my life and home a worthy place to enact your will and purposes like Hannah may my eyes see what what heaven desires to birth forth in a season and make intercessions in alignment with these desires thank you Jesus because this is the confidence we have in you that whenever we pray you hear us amen I am sure every part of this video blessed you and you wouldn't want
