[Music] hey guys it's Lexie welcome back to my channel welcome to today's video I have another homemade dog food recipe to share with you guys this video is in collaboration with the farmer dog I'm so excited to be partnering with them in today's video I'm going to be sharing a homemade dog food recipe with you guys and you probably remember from so many other homemade dog food videos that I usually have to add so many supplements and now I just have one thing I add to my homemade dog food this is the farmer dog do-it-yourself

nutrition mix and it is amazing I'm going to be sharing with you guys exactly how I use it soon but let's go ahead and get started with making this delicious recipe so we're going to go ahead and get started with this recipe so the first thing you want to do is chop up all of your veget vegetables so a little tip to cut some time is you can use frozen veggies you can just buy it out the freezer aisle and it's already chopped up for you so that's a great little tip or you can buy

it fresh from the grocery store a lot of grocery stores will already have the produce already chopped up for you so that's a little tip as well but I like to just buy it like this because we eat carrots in this house we eat sweet potatoes in this house and it's really easy to put together homemade dog food recipes when we already have these ingredients on hand so I went ahead and chopped up some carrots that's about 4 and2 cups of carrots and now we're chopping up 4 and 1/2 cups of some sweet potato and

I'm keeping the skin on because there's so many amazing nutrients in the [Music] skin the last thing I'm having to prepare is the spinach I have some like salad scissors I will link these down below and it makes it really easy of getting the spinach in super small pieces I use this gadget for us as well when I'm making homemade salads all right so we have all of the ingredients prepped out I will leave all the measurements down below for you guys but we have some eggs spinach that we chopped up we have some carrots

that we chopped up in like small cubes sweet potatoes are chopped up we have five lbs of some ground beef we also have some sunflower oil I'm going to be using some fish oil as well and then we have the farmer dog do-it-yourself nutrient mix and I'm going to be talking about this here shortly this is amazing to make sure that your homemade dog food is balanced and that your dogs's getting all the nutrients they need so we need two packs um of the nutrient mix for this recipe so now we're ready to go ahead

and cook so I'm adding some sunflower oil I'm following the farmers dog do-it-yourself recipe from the website so once you sign up for the do-it-yourself packs I'll talk more about this you will be able to select different recipes to cook up for your dogs so this one was formulated for my dogs so it's a ground beef recipe so the first thing I'm starting with is grounding the beef I ended up needing a larger pot so I do switch over here soon once the beef was ground I went ahead and added the carrots and the sweet

potatoes and I'm going to cook that until the veggies are soft okay guys we have the homemade dog food cooking up we're waiting for those vegetables to get soft so I'm so excited to be partnering with the farmer dog in today's video one of the number one questions I get from you guys in my homemade dog food videos is do you have to add all of those supplements into the homemade dog food to make it balanced and before discovering the farmer dog you did have to add all those supplements in but the farmer dog created

the homemade dog food to make it complete to make sure your dogs are getting all the minerals and vitamins they need so as you guys know I have two dogs so I have Bentley who's a Yorkie and I have blissy who's off camera she's in her bed right now she is a golden doodle so the farmer doll created this recipe that I'm sharing with you guys today and it also told me exactly how much of these packs to add into the recipe so the recipe I'm making today you add two of these packs in I

love the farmer dog do-it-yourself packs cuz you no longer have to add in all of those supplements that I was adding in before you know your dog's homemade dog food is complete you don't have to worry about adding it in their morning serving which is what I had to do before I literally added into the entire batch of food and then I section it off based on how they tell me they tell you serving size as well so that's probably my second question that I get asked the most is how much do I feed my

dog the farmer's dog not only creates customized recipes for your dog it gives you the pack so that way you can make sure your dog's getting all the nutrients they need and it also tells you serving size so that way you're making sure your dog's getting the correct portion so I'm going to go ahead and finish cooking up this recipe and I'm going to be sharing with you guys some of my other favorite things that I love about the Pats and why it has been so great adding it into my homemade dog food so once

the carrots and sweet potatoes are nice and soft I like to take a fork and Pierce it through the center and if it breaks easily I know it's good to go I'll go ahead and add this chopped spinach I'll put the top on it let that Wilt down for a few minutes and then I like to go ahead and whisk my eggs together so that way it's well Incorporated when I add it to the homemade dog food [Music] once the spinach is wilted down I go ahead and give everything a good mix making sure everything's

mixed well I went ahead and turned the heat down and now I'm about to add some salmon oil this is amazing for your dog's coat and then I'm going to go ahead and add the eggs in there as well and then I'm going to cook this for few more minutes until the eggs are completely cooked through I like to make sure everything is cooked so that way my dogs don't get sick so I will go in with a food thermometer here in a second to test the temperatures of everything and to make sure everything's above

165° so you'll see me do this here I test out several portions to make sure everything's cooked nice and well cuz you don't want to give your dogs any raw meat or eggs [Music] now that the food is all cooked through I'm going to go ahead and turn the heat off and now it is time to add the do-it-yourself mix so it's super easy to add this is what it looks like so this pack is going to support your dog's vital organs and bodily functions it's going to contribute to brain development and memory it's going

to maintain a healthy heart for your pet it's going to keep their bone strong and Joints limber it supports their immune system it improves their skin and coat and overall it will boost their mood so so many amazing benefits adding this into the homemade dog food and you know your homemade food is balanced and great for your pup so you just want to mix everything well and that is seriously it I added two packs for this recipe but the farmer dog will tell you exactly how much to add depending on what recipe you're cooking up

the recipe is completely done and well balanced I'm going to let it cool and then the farmer does tell you how to store the food and also serving size so I will be dividing this up to the correct serving size once it cools down all right so I went ahead and put the homemade dog food in some glass containers I will section it off to their portion size in these little bags I'll link these down below for you guys they're really helpful um in sectioning off the food but I want it to completely cool before

I do that and like I said the recipe card will tell you exactly how to section off the food to make sure your dogs are getting the correct serving size all right so the dogs already ate breakfast but I gave them a little bit less in their morning serving so that way I could share with you guys how much they love this farmers's dog recipe all right Bentley's already in the down position he's ready to eat his homemade dog food it already has all of the nutrients in it so no more adding a million in
