How to include SEO to make ANY video go viral

what is SEO I get asked this question all the time now if you're posting videos on YouTube and you're not including SEO it's probably the main reason why you're not getting many views now SEO sounds difficult but in terms of YouTube it's actually pretty simple in this video I'll explain what SEO is why you should use it and then I'll show you eight key areas where you can include SEO to make sure you maximize views on all of your future videos I'll run through this example here too my best video on this channel with over

260,000 views so you can see exactly how I did it too just FY guys this also applies to shorts as well everything you see on this video can be done when you upload shorts too so let's just hop straight into it SEO stands for search engine optimization it's basically just the process of optimizing your content so it can be discovered more easily by your viewers and search engines on YouTube SEO primarily revolves around using the right keywords keywords are basically just words or phrases that relate to your content or your Niche for example this video

here was all about the YouTube algorithm so algorithm was the key word here now yours could be things like travel Fitness or literally anything that describes the content within your video so once you've identified the keyword that relates to your content you then need to place those keywords strategically when you upload your video and there are eight different places for keywords that I'll cover today now you might be thinking why exactly should you bother including SEO well including SEO is essential because it helps your videos get discovered by the right audiences if you don't optimize

your content for a specific audience your videos will just get buried under thousands of other videos making it harder for the right people to find them including SEO ensures your videos appear on the top of viewers home feeds and that they rank high in search results which means more views more engagement and more subscribers which ultimately boosts your Channel's growth all right boring stuff out of the way now let's hop into my laptop and I'll show you exactly where you can include some SEO there are some easy and obvious ones in here guys but there

the video and like I said there's eight spaces now you don't have to do all of these and like I said some of these are really basic and simple that you should know already but there are a couple in here that you might not know and that will be really helpful so starting off with the most basic one you'll see here is your title now your title of course is one of the most important things of a video for a new channel it's that pair with your thumbnail is what makes people click on your videos

so that needs to be engaging it needs to be enticing and it needs to create some sort of curiosity to make people want to click and watch your video but you should also where you can use it to include some SEO now of course this video here is all about shorts uh as you can see it literally is just how to grow on short shorts and kind of um all the information I had or I know after hundreds of millions of views packed into one video so if you do want to grow shorts just watch

this one after this because it's really good video um and I'll tell you everything you need to know on how to gr shorts but in the title I decided it was best to include a keyword and it was easy because the video is based around shorts so I decided if your shorts get under 1,000 views do this so already you can see there one key word in the title so as soon as people see this on their home feed they know exactly what this video was about shorts and the YouTube algorithm will take this into

account so it's going to recognize that I've included that word shorts so when it comes to recommending my content it knows to recommend it in the shorts based Niche next thing again really basic is your thumbnail now again my thumbnail is really basic um it's basically a dark gray background it says number 47 it says shorts views on it and again I've included the keyword in there shorts so a lot of people on YouTube will say not to include words from your title in your thumbnail now that isn't like a golden rulle of thumb that

is right or wrong it's just their personal opinion and this kind of shows you that you can actually do that because this got over a quarter of a million views and I use the same word from the title in the thumbnail now I did this basically because one the algorithm will scan the thumbnail so it will read the thumbnail I know there's not normally loads of like words and stuff on there but the algorithm actually has power to like scan the thumbnail and see what's on the thumbnail so as it scans a thumbnail it's going

to see the word short so again just like the title that's two keywords already they're both the title and the thumbnail so the algorithm now has an easy job because it knows exactly who to suggest his content to people want to go on shorts that is the second place you should include a keyword the third place you'll see down here is the file name so when you edit your video in iMovie or cap cut or Premier Pro like I do uh or anything else when you save your video make sure you save the video the

file name the same as your title because one it helps you navigate in all of your folders which video it is and two it's just an extra piece of SEO so this is what we call metadata and and this metadata again it's not like hugely influential on how well your video does but the YouTube algorithm will take it into account so if you include another keyword there like I did shorts again basically all I did was copy the title into the file name um I would recommend everyone do this then you have now three places

where you've included a keyword so I've got it in title I've got it in the thumbnail and now I've got it in the file name as well so like I say guys like now I'm given the algorithm the easiest job in the world when it tries to fire my audience okay so that is the third place the fourth place as you would have guessed it is the description so your description should always be optimized for search and it should always include keywords related to your video so let's just go through here and let's count how

many times I've used a word shorts so I've included the word shorts over five times in my description and whenever you post a video your description should look similar to this of course I've got links in here to my playlist and some brand deals I did and timestamps but realistically guys you should have pretty much this amount of text describing your video and in in that text you should include so many keywords related to your video so the word shorts I've got in there over five times now of course you do need to do this

naturally you can't just put short short short short shorts you have to kind of like put them within a sentence within a paragraph like I did here so that's the fourth place you would like to include some SEO and the fifth place again is in the description but this time it's in your hashtag so hashtags again guys are really important when you're on kind of like watching the video down here you'll see there's three hashtags that crop up and these three are basically the most important three you know you can see here that I've got

around I've got 1 two 3 4 five six seven so I've got seven hasht which might be a little bit too much but I always aim between 3 to eight hashtags per video Never more than eight and never less than three because those three you do put on will be the ones you rank for at the start YouTube only limits it to three so what I would do is put your best hashtags first and then the kind of ones afterwards as well so YouTube Shorts YouTube growth and viral shorts they are the three hashtags I

would put at the very start and then of course like secondary hashtags like YouTube tips or YouTube monetization and then YouTube shorts videos come after that but that is basically the fifth place where you want to include keywords uh and they are actually really important so never skip hashtags always always always make sure you have hashtags now of course the next place you want to include some keywords is the tags now I've heard a lot of wannabe gurus telling you that tags don't really matter but if you're going to spend all this time thinking of

the video editing the video and then posting the video you're going to want to do it properly and this only takes literally about 5 minutes so I'm going to show you a tool where you can get all of these tags done for you in literally about 30 seconds so what I'll basically do guys is I will fill up this with the tags I know are good for my audience and then I go to a third party tool where it gives me the rest of them within a click of a button for free so the website

I use is called rapid tags.io and basically guys all it is is a tag generator so go and click use Tag generator I will link this in the description below click tag generator and then you'll met with this screen here so what you want to do is let's say you haven't got any tags yet uh and this is going to be your title so copy this go to Rapid tags paste your title in here click enter and then look what it gives us so then you've got all of these tags here literally I I didn't

cut that video then that was as quick as it was it took about two seconds all you have to do you got how to get views on YouTube Shorts YouTube shorts If your shorts freeze do this how to get more shorts views how to get more YouTube VI blah blah blah you've got all of these tags here that are perfect for SEO all you got to do is copy tags go there scroll down here and paste in there and then you've got all of your tags done for you within 20 seconds you don't need to

use any brain power whatsoever you don't need to use a spider diagram or anything it's all done for you so I would 100% recommend using this because honestly it's an absolute godsend especially when you're kind of just like stuck thinking what tags can I use because honestly I use it all the time um I actually found it on a YouTuber course I bought for over $3,000 um and I can't believe no one ever told me about this for some reason like all the big creators gatekeep this I've never ever heard anyone talk about it especially

like on free YouTube advice like I'm giving now it took me over $3,000 on YouTube course to know about this um this free tool that anyone can use but yeah I will leave the link in the description so definitely use this uh if you need help with your taags okay then and the last place for your keywords do you probably definitely didn't know is actually your subtitles so basically what happens is is when you upload a video YouTube will do its best effort to provide a transcript for your video so you don't have to do

any of this so what you see here is done all by YouTube automatically but this is kind of like YouTube's best interpretation of what you say within the video so when you actually look through this transcripts you actually get a really good idea of how YouTube is interpretating or reading your content because say if your English isn't very good or say the word um too many times this will actually pick it up so it's a really really interesting Tool uh to use just to kind of analyze your content but what you want to do is

on here you've got English automatic captions which are the ones that are going to crop up uh when people click on your video so if you click edit and duplicate you're now going to see all of the words that you speak in a video uh basically YouTube does this automatically you don't have to pay for it it's not a special uh edit or anything YouTube will just do it as soon as you upload a video if you're really trying to Target a specific keyword or Niche just go through here and make sure every every time

you do say that it picks up properly so here you can see if you're constantly uploading shorts and you're getting L than thousand views here are some things you can do to fix that so just go through especially if your English isn't very good or you speak quick or anything else and just make sure you have your keyword there and make sure YouTube picks it up because sometimes it makes mistakes where it won't spell it properly or it won't recognize a word but the algorithm will also analyze all of this so the more times you

speak or you say your key word within the video but algor will pick it up in here so just make sure you go through here just briefly kind of skin through and make sure every time you do say the keyword just make sure it's spelled right um and even add a couple of keywords in there too if it's missed it but yeah these are all the places where you can include some SEO in the form of keywords to help your video rank higher and help the algorithm push your content in front of the right people
