my message to you is that we need to grow as Believers there was a man named Smith Wigglesworth from England who was mightily used by God a man of great faith and he would always say I'm a thousand times bigger on the inside than on the outside he knew the value of strengthening your inner person no no matter who you are regardless of where you were born or your current social status there is something you're wrestling with now it could be related to your health your family your finances the point is somewhere in your life

there's a struggle and this is true for all people people everywhere are wrestling with something in fact the Apostle Paul in Romans 7: 15-18 opened up about his own struggles as he said I don't really understand myself for I want to do what is right but I don't do it instead I do what I hate but if I know that what I am doing is wrong this shows that I agree that the law wrong is good so I am not the one doing wrong it is sin living in me that does it and I know

that nothing good lives in me that is in my sinful nature I want to do what is right but I can't this struggle that Paul is speaking about is more spiritual than it is physical this struggle is one with sin and the Bible warns us it tells us that in this Earthly body the fight against sin will be constant Galatians 5:1 17 says for the desires of the flesh are against the spirit and the desires of the spirit are against the flesh for these are opposed to each other to keep you from doing the things

you want to do aside from the physical things that we may wrestle with there is a clear conflict marked out in the Bible between the desires of the flesh versus the desires of the spirit what are the desires of the flesh well the flesh desires to sin and this is why you find that people have their own individual struggles against things like sexual immorality a anger and pride strife and idolatry these are all desires of the flesh however the spirit the spirit desires to fellowship with God the spirit desires to seek God and the fact

that the Bible says the desires of the Flesh and the spirit are against each other this then explains why it's a struggle for the majority of of Christians to pray consistently and meditate on the word of God consistently this is because the flesh is fighting your spirit it's easier to watch a movie for a couple hours than it is to pray because that's what the flesh your body wants to do however should you try to pray and read the word of God instead of watching the television well it's a struggle for most of us yes

it's a fight to dedicate time to pray each day but that is what is required of us if we are to go from glory to glory in the Lord as a Christian you get stronger by fighting you strengthen your inner man whenever you fight to read God's word my prayer is that the Holy Spirit would open my eyes to every hidden stronghold in my life and within my family may he shine a light on every corner that the enemy is hiding with the aim to take me down God's word says but God being rich in

Mercy because of the great love with which he loved us even when we were dead in our trespasses made us alive together with Christ by Grace you have been saved and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the Heavenly places in Christ Jesus when you are alive in Christ you see Jesus Christ for who he really is you see him as the light of the world you see him as truth when you're alive in Christ you see that the devil may form weapons but they will not Prosper the devil might make

plans against you he may scheme against you but none of his plans none of his schemes will prosper when you are aive in Christ it doesn't matter what the kingdom of darkness does because in Jesus we have the victory already now let us pray dear Lord Jesus help us to grow help us to grow in boldness and courage courage help us to grow in knowledge and understanding when it comes to the things of God open our eyes so that we can see that we can never rely on our own willpower because we will fail we

cannot rely on our own motivation because we will fail but when we stand on your word Lord Jesus we will never fail we will never be defeated and so Lord our attitude today is to say less of me Lord and more of you father we receive your word that says in Ephesians 1 19-21 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe in him this is the same Mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in

the Heavenly Realms now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else not only in this world but also in the world to come in you Lord we are able to overcome every struggle whatever oppress presses us we give it to you whatever tries to Blind us and pull us backwards God we give it to you to handle dear Lord we desire to live a life that is pure and pleasing to you we desire to live a life whereby we aren't cycling in and out of sin cleanse us master

I pray that the blood of Jesus Christ that precious blood that was shed on the cross at Calvary for us we pray that it would cleanse us from sin you are a God who is generous in love you are great in compassion father hear our cry today we want to be a people who live lives that please you lives that honor you and obey your word and to do this we need to be empowered by the holy spirit so that we can resist temptation we hold on to your word in Psalm 103 11-13 which says

for as high as the heavens are above the Earth so great is his love for those who fear Him as far as the East is from the West so far has he removed our transgressions from us as a father has compassion on his children so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him Empower us to have victory over sin Lord we are not slaves to unrighteousness but to righteousness Empower us to overcome daily this struggle of sin make us clean vessels ready to serve your kingdom mighty God we bless your precious name for you
