the shocking and unbelievable life story of King Nimrod a dark king who claimed I will kill your god because I am the true god of all creation a cursed king who challenged Allah and built a tall tower to shoot arrows at him but the arrows came back covered in blood he shouted with joy I destroyed your god but why did the arrows return in blood why did Allah let him believe such a thing a cruel man who started a fire that rose to the clouds and threw Ibrahim (AS) into it using a big launcher the
most brutal king the world had seen until that day ruling for 400 years a cursed king destroyed by a fly that entered through his ear one of the kings of hell Nimrod you're watching Religious Story TV don't forget to subscribe to our channel so you don't miss more videos like this if you're ready let's begin thousands of years ago there was a king named Nimrod who ruled over the whole world he was the ruler of the Chaldean tribe and in the beginning people knew him as a fair and just man his people used to worship
stars and idols but later as Nimrod's kingdom grew he became arrogant he built a wide and powerful empire stretching from the south to the north after gaining more control and power Nimrod made statues of himself he openly claimed to be a god and told his people to worship him even though the name Nimrod is not directly mentioned in the Quran many believe he is the one talked about in Surat al Baqarah because Allah gave him power and kingdom he became proud and argued with the Prophet Ibrahim (AS) many Islamic scholars agree that this man was
Nimrod his real name was Naramsin and he became the cruellest and bloodiest ruler of Babylon and the whole earth Nimrod is known as the first person in history who said I am god this cruel man built the city of Babylon after that he began to harm people sources say that Nimrod was from the descendants of Ham the son of Noah he was the grandson of Ham and the son of Kush it is believed that people from the family of Ham were the most aggressive and harsh rulers in early history they tried to control the fate
of humanity by building kingdoms some say they helped form countries like Egypt Libya Arabia and India it is also believed that Nimrod who came from this same family built not only Babylon but also the cities of Nineveh and Calah Nimrod is a dark but powerful figure in history and also known as the first and greatest king in the world he led military campaigns to the south of Anatolia which is the northern part of Mesopotamia according to old tablets he defeated many kingdoms in these regions sources also say that Nimrod was the ruler who threw Ibrahim
(AS) into the fire and encouraged all people to rebel against Allah in the Old Testament Nimrod is described as a clever astrologer an idol worshipper a builder of cities and a cruel ruler who killed innocent babies he is also said to have had control over wild animals it is claimed that in the society he lived in Nimrod was treated like a god and his wife Semiramis was seen as a divine being who was worshipped after claiming to be a god Nimrod built a great temple filled with idols his rule lasted for about 400 years in
the Quran there are up to 91 verses related to the struggle between Ibrahim (AS) and Nimrod there are also other verses about the punishment and the fire Ibrahim was thrown into which are believed to refer to Nimrod indirectly in Nimrod's society idols were not only worshipped people believed they could eat drink and speak they asked them for food healing and forgiveness they thought idols could create life and bring death people believed these idols had power over everything there was no belief in the afterlife besides idols they also worshipped the stars and planets they saw the
sun as the most powerful of all people had many idols they took care of them protected them and tried to prove they were better than anyone who didn't believe in them the temples where the idols were placed were also used like courts where public matters were judged anyone who didn't follow their beliefs or traditions was punished sometimes by stoning being exiled or even thrown into fire this society didn't take any other belief seriously in fact they saw other beliefs as dangerous the dream of Nimrod One day King Nimrod had a very realistic dream during the
day in his dream a bright light came down from the sky shining even brighter than the sun and the moon Nimrod woke up sweating and feeling uneasy he asked his trusted fortune tellers to explain the strange dream the fortune tellers told him that a baby boy would soon be born in his land and this child would change the people's religion and eventually kill Nimrod hearing this the cruel king gave an order without hesitation all Newborn baby boys must be killed within a few days many innocent baby boys were murdered without mercy at that time the
mother of Ibrahim (AS) was about to give birth but the order was clear if it was a boy he would be killed Ibrahim's mother thought deeply and said to her husband Azar go to the temple and pray for me if the baby is a boy I will bring him to you and you can present him to Nimrod this will help you gain Nimrod's trust but this was only a trick after Azar left she gave birth to Ibrahim and secretly placed him in a cave when Azar returned she told him the baby was stillborn whenever Azar
was away she visited the cave and saw that Ibrahim was sucking his fingers the angel Jibrail was making milk and honey flow from them Ibrahim spent his childhood in the cave later when he became a young man he started spreading the message of the oneness of Allah as time passed Nimrod's dream was forgotten and Ibrahim left the cave eventually Azar found out that his son was still alive Islamic sources say that Ibrahim (AS) was of medium height had Hazel eyes a kind and beautiful face and a clear forehead he is said to resemble the Prophet
Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam more than anyone else even down to the shape of his footprints when Ibrahim grew older he became disturbed by the statues made by his father Azar believed they were statues of gods but Ibrahim had rejected this idea from the very beginning one night Ibrahim couldn't sleep again so he left his house and walked toward the mountain he often visited just like his great grandson the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam he used to stay in a cave at night that night the sky was very clear he looked at the planets and stars
that people on earth worshipped and it made him feel deeply sad he wondered what was beyond the moon stars and planets later he returned home when morning came he was ready to tell his father what he thought about those who worship these things in the sky Allah tells us the words of Ibrahim (AS) in the Quran when Ibrahim said to his father Azar do you take idols as gods truly I see you and your people in clear error Surah al An'am 74 after this conversation Ibrahim (AS) began to debate with his people his people worshiped
the moon Venus the sun and seven other planets to convince them Ibrahim started using clear and logical arguments one of these is shared in the Quran like this when night covered everything he saw a star and said this is my lord but when it disappeared he said I do not love things that go away then when he saw the moon rising he said this is my lord but when it also faded he said if my Lord does not guide me I will be among the misguided then he saw the sun shining and said this must
be my Lord it is the biggest but when it also set he said o my people I reject all the things you join as partners with Allah Surat al Anam 75 to 79 in this debate Ibrahim told his people that these objects in the sky could not be gods because even though they looked powerful they disappeared and were replaced by others a real God never disappears or gives up his place Ibrahim was doing his best to guide his people to believe in the oneness of Allah and to worship only him Ibrahim (AS) who lived about
4,000 years ago was not part of a simple tribe as many people think today when we look at Mesopotamian civilizations between 15 and 2 thousand five hundred BCE we see that technology and knowledge were advanced for that time the Sumerians used writing and influenced all the societies in that region all of these societies lived in a land known as Babylon the Sumerians Akkadians Assyrians and Babylonians all lived in the Mesopotamian region Nimrod wanted all the people of this land to bow down to him and was doing horrible things to his people at this very time
Allah sent Ibrahim (AS) as a prophet to guide the cruel Nimrod and his people and to teach them Allah's commands and prohibitions the Prophet Ibrahim first tried to convince this advanced society by using logic and reason he wanted to make them question their beliefs and feel doubt about their false gods but this came with a price speaking the truth has always been costly what would happen to many prophets later in history first happened to Ibrahim the father of the prophets because of his truthful words people began to close their doors on him and call him
a traitor this young man who questioned why they worshipped lifeless idols that could not see or hear was first met with anger by his own father his father even threatened to kill him in return Ibrahim stayed calm and respectful he said he would pray for his father's forgiveness and told him that he would stay away from idol worship he did not want his father to suffer in the eternal fire in the end guided by his faith in Allah Ibrahim had to leave his father's house after Ibrahim (AS) left his father's house and was alone he
still didn't stop warning his people he tried to convince them about the beauty power wisdom and oneness of Allah but they kept worshipping idols he didn't give up and made a very special plan the caldian tribe had a festival once a year everyone would leave the city to celebrate Ibrahim waited for this big event so he could go to the temple without being noticed in the temple there were idols made from silver copper and wood when the streets were empty Ibrahim walked into the temple holding a sharp axe he looked at the stone and wooden
statues and the food placed in front of them he spoke to the idols do you not eat from the food in front of you what is wrong with you that you don't speak Surah Tasaffat 92 to 93 without any fear he raised his axe and started destroying the false gods that his people worshipped he broke all of them except the biggest one then he hung the axe around the neck of that big idol when the people returned from the festival in the evening they were shocked by what they saw their gods were broken into pieces
and scattered all over the temple they began to think about who could have done this in the end they suspected Ibrahim the one who always called them to worship Allah so they went to him and asked did you do this Ibrahim (AS) replied the big idol probably didn't want anyone to worship the others maybe he got angry and smashed them with the axe you can ask him yourself maybe he will tell you what happened the idol worshippers said but the idols cannot speak then Ibrahim said if they can't even speak or protect themselves how can
they protect you will you still not understand? Surat al Anbiya 59 to 67 Prophet Ibrahim defeated them with clear and logical arguments even the leaders and religious scholars had no answer for him but their pride stopped them from admitting they were wrong instead they used their power to arrest Ibrahim they tied him in chains and waited for King Nimrod to return at that time King Nimrod was away leading conquest from southern Mesopotamia toward Anatolia and the city of Urfa when he came back to the city the leaders told him about a young man named Ibrahim
who refused to worship idols and had destroyed their gods Nimrod called Ibrahim to speak with him at first he tried to convince him but when he failed he became very angry the Quran tells us about their meeting and their debate like this have you not seen the one who argued with Ibrahim about his Lord just because Allah had given him power when Ibrahim said my Lord is the one who gives life and causes death the man replied I give life and cause death then Ibrahim said Allah brings the sun from the east so bring it
from the west the disbeliever was completely shocked and Allah does not guide a people who do wrong Quran Surah al Baqarah when Ibrahim (AS) said my lord gives life and death Nimrod became angry he gathered his advisers to decide what punishment should be given to him one of them named Henun said let's burn him in a huge fire this idea was accepted and preparations began for one whole month wood was carried for the fire the ignorant and foolish people were excited to help saying this man is against our gods a mountain of wood was piled
up when the fire was lit its flames rose high into the sky the fire was so hot that birds couldn't even fly near it when everything was ready the people gathered around the fire Ibrahim (AS) was brought there in chains his hands and feet tied but he was the close friend of Allah al Khaleel even though he was in a terrible situation he remained calm full of trust and surrender he had no fear or worry in his heart the angels made Dua to Allah Nimrod and his advisors discussed how to throw Ibrahim into the fire
in the end they decided to use a large catapult Nimrod thought that by burning Ibrahim alive he would prove himself as a god this was the first time someone had truly challenged him and he couldn't answer Ibrahim's words he felt humiliated so he believed he had the right as a god to throw Ibrahim into the fire he had created at that moment the angels in the heavens and the earth were shocked they said oh our Lord Ibrahim the one who remembers you the most is being thrown into fire he is a prophet who never forgets
you please let us help him then Allah gave permission one angel came to Ibrahim and said the winds are under my control if you wish I can blow the fire away another angel said the waters are under my control if you want I will pour water and put the fire out another said the earth is under my control I can swallow the fire into the ground if you want but Ibrahim (AS) replied to them all do not come between the friend and the one he loves whatever my lord wills I accept it if he saves
me it is his kindness if he lets me burn it is because of my shortcomings I will be patient Inshallah as he was placed in the catapult about to be thrown into the fire Ibrahim said Allah is enough for us he is the best one to rely on according to the narration of Abdullah ibn Abbas (RA) Ibrahim (AS) said this while being thrown into the fire our Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam also said the same words when people warned him the enemies are gathering against you in response the believers said together Allah is enough for us
he is the best one to rely on their faith grew stronger and they showed perfect trust in Allah just as Ibrahim (AS) was about to be thrown into the fire the angel Jibril (AS) came and asked do you have any wish Ibrahim replied: yes I have a request but not from you Jibril was surprised and asked why don't you ask Allah to save you Ibrahim said he already knows my situation who gave the fire permission to burn burning only happens by his command the fire was not burning just because it was fire it was burning
because Allah commanded it to burn Prophet Ibrahim understood this so if the fire burned him it would only be by Allah's will and he was content with Allah's will for the sake of Allah he was even ready to enter fire or hell this noble prophet had no fear as he was about to fall into the flames and could feel the heat all around him Allah gave his command oh fire be cool and peaceful for Ibrahim Surah Al Anbiya 69 by Allah's command even though the fire was burning it did not harm Ibrahim it only burned
the ropes that tied him inside the fire Ibrahim remained calm he praised and glorified Allah his heart was full of love for Allah he felt no fear or regret for those who truly love Allah even fire cannot bring fear the people the leaders and the priests watched the great fire from far away it was so hot it nearly burned their faces and choked them but after some time they saw something unbelievable someone was walking out of the fire it was none other than Ibrahim he came out safely and his face was shining with the light
of Allah's mercy he walked calmly out of the fire the disbelievers saw this miracle and cried out in defeat Allah says in the Quran they wanted to harm him but we made them the greatest losers Surah al Anbiya 70 this miracle embarrassed the idol worshippers but it did not cool the fire of anger in their hearts Nimrod once said to the people around him if there is a god in the sky then I must reach him and defeat him too so he ordered a giant tower to be built some reports say the tower kept rising
for many days or even weeks when he reached the top he brought his bow and arrows with him he aimed toward the sky and shot his arrows it is said that Allah responded to this arrogant act by sending the arrows back covered in blood Nimrod's soldiers saw this and shouted look he has wounded the god in the sky but this was only foolish pride Allah showed them a sign to humble Nimrod but Nimrod still didn't understand he continued in his arrogance he called for Ibrahim (AS) and said call your Allah I will fight him with
my whole army then he sent Ibrahim away after waiting for some time Nimrod saw Ibrahim approaching from a distance but he saw that Ibrahim was alone there was no army behind him he laughed loudly and said now I am embarrassed I gathered a great army but you brought no one did I prepare this whole army just for you where is your Allah where is his army Ibrahim calmly replied wait it will arrive soon not long after a huge army of mosquitoes attacked Nimrod and his soldiers the swarm was so thick that people couldn't even open
their eyes these mosquitoes had a terrifying power they would eat human flesh until only bones were left seeing his soldiers in pain and confusion Nimrod became afraid and ran back to his palace without looking back he locked the doors behind him and thought he was safe but one small crippled mosquito entered through a hole in the door and this tiny creature would become his end the mosquito flew into his nose and reached his brain there it began to move and buzz causing great pain in his head Nimrod couldn't take the pain he started hitting his
head against the walls to kill the mosquito when that didn't work he hired men to hit his head with hammers he promised more money to whoever hit harder for days soldiers hit the same head that had worn a crown for 400 years and each time Nimrod said he could still hear the mosquito inside so he kept asking them to hit again Allah increased his pain day by day the suffering grew stronger until finally one soldier hit his head so hard that it cracked and Nimrod died in the Quran Allah says they tried to harm Ibrahim
but we made them the greatest losers Sura al Anbia Nimrod who became proud and arrogant with his worldly power and his unfortunate people were all destroyed by tiny mosquitoes their blood was drained and their bodies turned into nothing a clear lesson for all of humanity Nimrod the man who challenged Allah and threw his prophet into the fire left behind a life story full of lessons and warnings his miserable death caused by a tiny insect will always be remembered this event also connects to a famous answer from Imam Shafi One day someone asked him why did
Allah create mosquitoes Imam Shafi replied to remind people that even someone like Nimrod so proud and full of himself was defeated by a tiny creature that is the wisdom behind it may Allah protect us from pride and arrogance if this video touched your heart don't let it get lost on YouTube please like comment and subscribe so it can reach more hearts may Allah reward you for your support you are watching religious story TV see you in the next video Inshallah may Allah protect you
