I feel like we spend a lot of our time overthinking like we spend a lot of our time in thought for stuff that really has nothing to do with us and what I've come to realize is you know if all you could do is think about it it's probably not worth thought and what I mean by that is you know when we're thinking when we're trying to analyze stuff and overthink our problems situations and traumas a lot of times we don't have the control or the necessary power to to do something about it in the
very moment and I'm not saying don't address your problems I'm not saying don't face the things that are trying to uh seek out change I'm saying give yourself a little Grace in terms of your mind's capacity you know your mind is a is a sponge and you have to be careful what you consume it's not necessarily about not consuming any negative but being mindful of what you are consuming cuz what I've come to realize is you know the more time we spend labored in thought that that isn't characteristic of us or isn't inherent to us
or doesn't really contribute to who we are as people the lower we get and what I mean by low is you know our overall mood our energy everything having to do with us is going to tend down and I don't necessarily know why it is I think it's just negativity attracts negativity like attracts like and the more we time time we spend trying to reference things that aren't in our control it just shows more and more how we aren't and that's not necessarily A Bad Thing once we come to terms with it but trying to
over stimulate your mind in deep analysis is not always beneficial to who you are as a person I think it's more important to try to ground yourself in the present moment and realize that you know some things aren't going to be but that doesn't necessarily mean you can't try or not I'm not talking about dreams or aspirations I'm just talking about you know our stresses and anxieties you know I feel like a lot of times it gets to a point where you know people feel like their thoughts are inadequate people feel like their being their
validity is inadequate for the world they live in and what I'm here to say is that that's incorrect you know everybody shines in their own way everyone has their own you know spark of divinity you know every part contributes to the whole and the quicker we come to realize this so quicker we come to the realization that you know who we are isn't necessarily finite you know the restrictions of the mind just become obstacles you know things you have to overcome in order to further develop as a person and further cultivate yourself as a person
in saying if it's in saying if all you can do is think about it it's not worth thought I mean that stop wasting your time you know stop waiting on life to happen I feel like a lot of times we try to think of situations and think of things to happen rather than uh placing our feet on the ground and getting to moving not to say that you can't relax not to say you can't sit still but to say that we spend too much time in our heads and not enough time out here in present
the present is all that is and I'm coming to realize that the present moment you know it teaches you a lot if you're able to become present with yourself you realize why a lot of the stuff you do is is nitpicked by you why you do certain things to yourself and why you do certain things to other people and it's about just giving yourself the space and time to ask yourself the necessary questions to improve yourself like just yesterday I was interacting with a couple of people and I'm like and then for a second you
know the stuff people said just is started to to aggravate and I wouldn't say that they're aggravating people I wouldn't say stuff like that but I would say you know it was something in me you know it's it's about taking that responsibility realizing that you know hell is other people but that's just a projection of who we are you have to be very not necessarily intentional but mindful mindful of the way you feel and mindful of the way you're projecting your uh feelings onto other people's actions and other situations because typically things just just are
you know they are as they are and it's and it's our mind that kind of creates that differential it's our mind that kind of creates that separation and it kind of uh brids me into the idea of going with the flow because I feel like going with the flow isn't necessarily just about you know not caring it's not about not caring you can care all you want it's about not being attached not being attached to certain circumstances or situations realizing that you know you don't have to win every interaction you don't have to necessarily win
in anything you just have to overcome yourself and win your own your own battles your own victories you know I feel like a lot of us are confrontational with the world a lot of us try to fight with the world for no reason and I find that that's not beneficial to us at all you know the more time we spend trying to battle with the world the less we're able to tap into our own flow and going with the flow isn't just seeing a it's not necessarily not doing anything it's just doing stuff that contributes
to your path that's what going with the flow is it's not just sitting still and waiting for opportunities to fall in your lap is being detached from your expectations and realistic with your dreams realistic with your intentions realistic with your your discipline towards those goals you can't just sit there and and expect to get everything in return it's about your constant investment into yourself and your constant progression as a person and ever since I've been home for the for the break I've been very intentional with trying to um be more present and be more productive
and it's not necessarily just about productivity it's about how present you are during the day measure it in I saw a quote don't measure your success in terms of your productivity but in terms of your presence and I feel like that's very true cuz a lot of times what we do escapes us who we are escapes us and we tend to uh become the very thing we we're doing like we become the the object of our attention and we fail to give attention to our s you know we spend a lot of times in our
phones and I talked about it last video but we spend a lot of times in our phone on social media on stuff like that and I wouldn't necessarily call it a bad thing cuz I definitely use it quite a bit but I would say that you know the more time we spend on that the less time we have for ourselves and it's very important even when you just like wake up in in the start of the day I started doing this just not touching your phone until you complete like three tasks like I'll get up
I'll write some stuff um I'll try to work out but I always use m music so it's kind of hard to not use my phone then I'll take a shower then skincare whatever then I'll go on my phone to start my day cuz I don't know I feel like when taing into that Unknown about yourself when going with the flow when trying to create a new path for yourself it's very hard when you're constantly reattaching yourself to who you were before it's hard to do it when you're reattaching yourself and reaffirming this identity that you're
stuck in and it's about just moving on from that not necessarily moving on in the sense that you don't care what goes on your phone you don't care about this this that and the other but once again you're not attached to it it's about detaching yourself from not necessarily desire but detaching yourself from Identity detaching yourself from the cup that you put yourself in cuz a lot of us are biased in many ways we bias ourselves without even knowing it sometimes like within our actions a lot of us are biggest critics and biggest judges because
we're the only ones that can truly judge ourselves you know you're the only person that can truly judge you and it's it's kind of critical you know to uh realize that it's your first time in here realize that you know this is your first life realize that you know you only have one life and you're spending it in reference to stuff that's hypothetical the future is Unwritten in the past is over all you have is right now all you can do is right now and I feel like a lot of us posit our anxieties and
stuff and energy into the future and like I said we're we become where our attention goes now I wanted to make a video on becoming I probably still will because that's why I feel like it's so important to do art and do stuff where you can express yourself directly onto something that's when you're you're becoming become something that you can actually perceive but when you're constantly putting your attention on the future and past all you're becoming is your past and your anxiety for the future are you becoming dead it's not necessarily about not addressing the
future not having dreams or aspirations but not putting them in a place that's separate from you you know bringing those dreams bringing that reality into yourself now rather than allowing it to exist just in your mind you know it's it's it's too easy to kind of get caught up in the idea that you know you your F your future self and your current self are two different people and I feel like it's once we do that that our dreams our aspirations and some of our goals get misconstrued they get caught up in a in a
sort of sense of it's unattainable not unattainable because we don't think we can but unattainable because we're not imagining ourselves doing so it's because we're just imagining you know a self that's further from us we're telling ourselves that we're inadequate now and we're not necessarily laying any foundation to improve that something that's why I feel like it's so important that just bring that to yourself now and realize that you know there is no past self to overcome and there is no future self to achieve everything you are right now is enough and more than enough
to do anything you know cuz even in the future you're still in your present you're still the same you you still are you you know we all have little fundamental changes and it's about in bringing that to you now you have to start expressing yourself that way like if one of my main goals is to be a writer I'm not going to say oh man one day I'm just going to be a great writer I'm going start writing I'm going act like I'm a great writer now and start to put my craft out there start
to put my craft out there for myself become that thing and cultivate that Talent that skill over and over again until it's something not until it's something I'm proud of cuz I'm already proud of it it's also about being proud of your stuff regardless cuz if if you're um you know trying to create something then it's your connotation that truly matters and I feel like those sorts of things are are left on to your art you know you kind of get a portrait of the artist soul in a way like how they feel about it
is how you are inclined to feel about it and I mean that in a like a deep internal sense not necessarily in just a um a sense like cuz some people like their Stu and to be trash but but in the sense that you know you like yourself and you like the cultivation of the art and the art becoming whatever you're doing so much that you're doing it a way that you feel like is befitting of you and benefitting of the work it is I don't really know how to explain that in further words but
ESS doing your best and not doing your best because you want some sort of reaction but doing your best because it's an expression of you so being your best and putting that onto some paper putting that on to onto something where it can be seen in a way cuz I feel like a lot of times we fa fail to see ourselves we fail to see our expression we fail to see how we contribute to our own longevity and own um steak here and when I say steak here is it's just your presence Your Existence we
contribute a lot to who we are and we fail to give ourselves credit not to say everything cuz you know you're parents give you stuff your friends give you stuff and it's about your learning experiences but regardless of that it's not necessarily about what they do it's about how you react to it and how it relates to you how you internalize those certain things and that's why I say it's important that um be mindful of what you're being mindful of your mind is a sponge and be and being mindful of what you're mindful of is
also about not overthinking realizing that if all you can do is think about it it's not worth thought because if it's not in your control then it's not for you to handle if it's not in your hands it shouldn't be in your mind all these quotes really mean the same thing and they mean to just be present with yourself give yourself the grace enough to exist in the moment and not be so restricted by your mind's negativity and bias and that's what going with the flow is about just detaching yourself from your your mind's negativity
and that identity that you've held on to so closely and realize that you know whatever you do you can do it the path isn't necessarily about just not doing anything it's not doing it's going with it so doing the things you need to do in order to get to where you want you know and it's not saying that you can't alter the current and going with the flow it's saying that you're going forward you know don't stay still go forward if you want to move right or left you can do so it's just about creating
those little little tiny instantiations of change you know every Everything counts the law of accumulation I feel like all of this compiles upon itself cuz it's all about going with the flow it's all about being the flow it's all about being the life and I feel like a lot of us don't realize that so if you made it this far in the video uh much appreciated thank you guys so much for tuning in we got more stuff on the way um I'm try to stream soon it's really been catching up to me I'm not going
