Hollywood mocks God during Awards then this happens imagine this the most glamorous stage in the world packed with the biggest stars glittering dresses flashing cameras and then mockery Hollywood takes Center Stage to ridicule Faith poke fun at God and push the boundaries of reverence but what happens next no one saw it coming welcome to the 82nd gold Globes the night where Hollywood shines brightest but something dark hides in the shadows as the Stars celebrate their achievements there's one name missing from their gratitude lists God 3 hours of Glamour laughter and Applause yet the creator of

the universe gets zero mentions mocking God it's nothing new for Hollywood they've done it time and time again but just 48 hours later something happened that left everyone speechless Hollywood has a long history of pushing the envelope whether it's late night jokes or outrageous speeches some Stars seem to Delight in mocking God and Faith remember the time an A-list actor said I'd like to thank myself because I did all the work the room erupted in laughter but it left a bitter taste for for Millions watching but why does Hollywood have such a LoveHate relationship with

faith is it just for laughs or is there something deeper going on many have warned that mocking God isn't just offensive it's dangerous the Bible tells us in Galatians 7 67 do not be deceived God is Not mocked for whatever one SWS that will he also reap so could these moments on stage be sewing seeds of trouble could Hollywood's disregard for reverence have unintended consequences some believe the answer is yes and what happened next might prove them right the hills of Los Angeles were Ablaze a new fire broke out in the heart of Hollywood threatening

its iconic landmarks firefighters described it as a scene straight out of a disaster movie only this time it was real one day the right wind and the right spark and it'll burn all the way to the ocean there won't be a thing we can do to stop it tens of thousands of people fled for their lives abandoning homes cars and dreams the Dolby Theater home of the Oscars was in the path of Destruction was this just Nature's Fury or was something bigger at play when tragedies like the one in Los Angeles occur people often wonder

about God's goodness it's sad that these events are called acts of God but no one Praises God for the years of peaceful weather God created the universe and the laws of nature natural disasters happen because those laws are working the Bible says Jesus Christ holds all of nature together for in him all things were created things in heaven and on Earth visible and invisible whether Thrones or powers or rulers or authorities all things have been created through him and for him he is before all things and in him all things hold together can God stop

natural disasters yes can God control the weather yes the Bible shows us this in Deuteronomy 11:17 sometimes God causes disasters to judge sin as in numbers 1630 to 34 in Revelation many events described as disasters happen as part of God's plan Revelation 68 and6 but is every disaster a punishment no God lets the Earth show the consequences of sin Romans 8:1 19:21 says the creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed for the creation was subjected to frustration not by its own choice but by the will of the one who

subjected it in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to Decay and brought into the Glorious freedom of the children of God when Adam and Eve sinned it affected everything even the earth now creation is in Decay and sin is the reason for disasters just like it's the cause of death disease and pain pain we can understand how disasters happen but we might not always understand why God allows them one reason is that disasters remind us that life is fragile and make us think about eternity after disasters people often turn to

God churches fill up as people realize how quickly life can change God is good even during disasters Miracles often happen in these times to save lives disasters make people reconsider their priorities they lead to millions of dollars in Aid and opportunities for Christians to help share the gospel and pray for others as Romans 8:28 says God can bring good out of any situation and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose there's so much suffering in the world everyone feels

it at some point sometimes people suffer because of their own bad choices or sin Proverbs 13:15 says the way of the treacherous is their ruin ESV but what about people who haven't done anything wrong why does God allow them to suffer we often try to connect bad behavior with bad consequences it's human nature to think that good behavior leads to blessings and sin leads to punish punishment even Jesus had to correct this way of thinking as he went along he saw a man blind from birth his disciples asked him Rabbi who sinned this man or

his parents that he was born blind neither this man nor his parents sinned said Jesus but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him the disciples thought the man's blindness must have been caused by sin but Jesus explained that it wasn't anyone's fault instead God had a greater purpose for the man's suffering sometimes we won't fully understand why God allows innocent people to suffer but we can trust that God is in control and uses everything for his good purposes one time Jesus talked about people who died in an accident he

said those 18 who died when the tower in silom fell on them do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem I tell you no but unless you repent you too will all perish but he also reminded everyone that we live in a world full of sin and its effects so everyone must repent this brings up the question is anyone truly innocent the Bible says all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 23 so no one is completely sinless we are all born with a sinful nature

because of Adam and as we've seen everyone suffers whether or not their suffering comes from something they personally did wrong sin has messed up everything in the world and all of creation feels its effects Romans 8:22 the good news is that God hasn't left us to Suffer Without a purpose yes even the innocent suffer but God can bring good out of it our loving God has a plan to use suffering in three ways first he uses it to draw us closer to him Jesus said in this world you will have trouble John 16:33 hard times

are a normal part of life in this broken world but when we Face them we can cling to Jesus he is like an anchor in life's storms without the storms how would we know how strong he is during pain and sorrow we reach out to God and he is always there to comfort us as we experience his love and help we can also share that comfort with others who are hurting second God uses suffering to prove that our faith is real how we handle Hard Times shows if we truly trust him our faith tested by

fire will bring praise and glory to Jesus 1 Peter 1:7 True Believers don't blame God or doubt his goodness during trials instead they consider it pure joy James 1:2 because these trials show they are God's children blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because having stood the test that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him finally God uses suffering to help us focus on Heaven instead of this world the Bible often reminds us not to get too attached to Earthly things but to look forward

to God's Eternal Kingdom the innocent may suffer here but this life isn't the end of the story Jesus said my kingdom is not of this world John 18:36 for his followers the Troubles of this life don't compare to the Joy waiting for us in heaven as Paul wrote our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that we will be revealed in us could God stop all suffering yes he could but he promises all things work together for good to them that love God to them who are the called according to his purpose Romans

8:28 KJV even suffering is part of the all things God uses to fulfill his perfect plan God's plan is Flawless his character is perfect and he will never let us down if we trust him who controls the weather God or Satan some people point to the Bible where Satan is called the prince of the power of the air and the God of this world in 2 Corinthians as proof that Satan might control the weather but when we study the Bible closely we see that even if Satan and his demon angels have some power over the

weather God's power is still greater God is in charge of everything the devil who is our adversary is real and has some limited power in this world but Satan is a fallen angel who is not God he only has the power that God allows him to have if Satan could affect the weather it would only happen if God gave him permission and kept it under his control we see an example of this in the story of Job God allowed Satan to test job and this included weather related events for example the fire of God likely

lightning came down from the sky and burned up job's sheep and Serv servants after that A Mighty Wind possibly a tornado destroyed the house of job's oldest son killing all his children even if Satan caused these disasters he could only do so because God allowed it and it was all part of God's plan and purpose it is God not Satan who controls the weather God is the one who rules over the skies and sends the rain Psalm 77167 19 God has power over the wind God upholds and takes care of the whole universe Hebrews 13

God commands the clouds job 371- 1216 God has power over lightning Psalm 1814 God rules over all of nature job 26 God is in control of everything including the weather in his wisdom God provides for and protects his children but he also allows Satan demons and people to make choices and commit acts of sin evil and wickedness these same beings are fully responsible for all the man-made disasters and tragedies they cause we know that God has planned everything that happens Ephesians 1:11 Romans 11:36 and his unseen hand is present Even in our pain though he

never sins or causes evil James 13-17 for the believer no suffering is without purpose whether it comes from people or from nature we may not always understand why bad things happen but we can trust that God is using every trial and hardship for his glory and for our ultimate good is it wrong to blame God blaming God is something people people often do when things go wrong in their lives the thinking goes like this since God is in control of everything he could have stopped what happened he could have made things better for me he

could have kept the bad thing from happening but he didn't so it must be his fault in a way that sounds true some Bible verses might even seem to say that God is responsible for everything for example Isaiah 457 says I form the light and create Darkness I bring prosperity and create disaster I the Lord do all these things then there's Isaiah 46911 which says remember the former things those of long ago I am God and there is no other I am God and there is none like me I say my purpose will stand and

I will do all that I please what I have said that I I will bring about what I have planned that I will do these verses show that God is in control of everything so does that mean it's okay to blame him when something bad happens the word blame means to find fault with but blaming God is more than just saying he's in charge when we blame God we're saying he made a mistake we're saying there's something wrong with him when we blame him we're putting our ourselves in a position to judge him as if

we're the boss and he's on trial but we're not the boss of God we're his creation and he is the creator the Bible reminds us of this in Isaiah 45 which says woe to those who quarrel with their maker those who are nothing but pochards among the pochards on the ground does the clay say to the Potter what are you making does your work say the Potter has no hands woe to the one who says to a father what have you begotten or to a mother what have you brought to birth these verses make it

clear that we as humans don't have the right to find fault with God he made us not the other way around when we're tempted to blame him we need to remember who he is and who we are instead of blaming God we should trust him even when life doesn't make sense to keep from blaming God we first need to understand why we go through heartache and pain sin is the reason for every bad and evil thing in our lives God didn't make our bodies our souls to live in a world filled with sin we were

made perfectly to live in a perfect world but when Adam sinned it ruined God's perfect world when bad things happen it reminds us that sin has serious consequences so before we blame God for our problems we need to look at our own lives and ask if our choices may have played a part in the trouble next we need to think about our relationship with God it's strange how some people don't care about God when everything is fine but when disaster strikes they suddenly blame him they live most of their lives as if God doesn't exist

but then when when something bad happens they act like it's all his fault that's not only unfair but it's also disrespectful to God who has already given us everything we need to know him even when we are close to God it doesn't mean we won't face hard times or pain so what should we do when disaster strikes sometimes Christians are tempted to blame God when they are hurting we might even feel like doing what job's wife told him to do Curse God and die but instead of blaming God we can turn to him for Comfort

prbs 18 Christians have a promise that others don't have Romans 8:28 says all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose some people only quote the part about good but that's not the whole promise it is meant for those who love God and for those called according to his purpose instead of blaming God people who love him can face Hard Times knowing that nothing happens to them unless God allows it for a loving reason he has good and higher purposes for allowing difficult things even pain and

death when we want God's will more than our own he doesn't let our suffering go to waste every heartache loss and pain can be used for good in the lives of his people he can use our grief to help us grow stronger and to serve others hard times can give us opportunities to store up treasure in heaven Matthew 6:20 instead of blaming God we should give thanks in everything Ephesians 520 we know God can step in and fix any situation when he doesn't and something bad happens we shouldn't accuse him of doing wrong job who

suffered greatly did not sin by charging god with wrongdoing even after losing so much job said though he slay me yet will I hope in him in Job 13:15 God honored job's faith and blessed him after he passed the test God wants to bless us too with more understanding a deeper love for him and eternal rewards that no one can take away when we feel like blaming God we can follow job's example and trust that God knows what he is doing see Psalm 131 the Bible tells us about many events that will happen in the

end times these events can be grouped into natural signs spiritual signs signs in society technological signs and political signs by looking at what the Bible says and seeing these signs around us we can be sure that we might be living in the end times in Luke 2111 Jesus talks about some natural signs that will happen before before he comes back there will be great earthquakes famines and pestilences in various places and fearful events and great signs from Heaven this doesn't mean every earthquake or disaster is a sign of the end but when disasters increase it's

like a warning birth pangs as Jesus called them in Matthew 248 the Bible also speaks of both good and bad spiritual signs warns us that people will follow FAL false teachers today we see more Cults lies and practices like the New Age movement or Pagan religions on the other hand Joel 22829 promises a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit Joel's prophecy came true on the day of Pentecost acts 2:16 and continues today through revivals spirit-led movements and the preaching of the Gospel all over the world there are also signs in society the sinfulness in the

world today shows how people are rebelling against God evildoers and imposters will go from bad to worse we live in a selfish world where people love themselves more than anything else and do whatever seems right to them some end times prophecies didn't seem possible until we developed modern technology for example some of the events in Revelation are easier to imagine in a world with nuclear weapons in Revelation 1 the Antichrist is said to control buying and selling by making people take the mark of the beast with today's computer chip technology this seems very possible also

with tools like the internet radio and TV the gospel is being shared with the whole world just like Jesus said in Mark 13:10 political signs are another clue one of the most amazing fulfilled prophecies is the return of Israel to its land in 194 48 at the start of the 20th century No One thought this could happen but now Israel is back in its land and holding on to Jerusalem even though it faces many enemies Zechariah 12:3 says on that day when all the nations of the Earth are gathered against her I will make Jerusalem

an immovable Rock for all the nations all who try to move it will injure themselves Jesus Jus also said in Matthews that Nation will rise against nation and Kingdom against Kingdom today's wars and rumors of wars fit this description perfectly these are just some of the signs that show we're living near the end of the age there are many more God gave us these prophecies because he doesn't want anyone to be destroyed by his wrath he always gives plenty of warning before he brings judgment are we living in the end times we don't know exactly

when Jesus will return but the Rapture could happen at any time God will deal with sin in one of two ways either through his grace or his wrath whoever believes in the son has eternal life but whoever rejects the son will not see life for God's Wrath remains on them anyone who rejects Jesus will stay under God's judgment here's the good news it's not too late late to choose eternal life all you need to do is believe and accept God's free gift of Grace you can't earn it Jesus already paid the price for you Romans

3:24 are you ready for Jesus to come back or will you face his judgment
