what's going on guys in this video we're going to be going deep into how you can go from zero to 10K with ugc we've never done a video like this on the channel this is likely going to be the most valuable most comprehensive master class that we've ever put together we typically do videos that are typically on one subject right how to fix your portfolio how to reach out to Brands how to do this certain thing this video right here is going to cover the entire process from start to finish it's going to be broken
into two parts too we're going to cover the journey that all these creators go through right what it looks like and then the actual tactics and the strategies so buckle up this is going to be a good one I got my third iced coffee of the day over here I'm fired up this is one you're probably going to want to break the notebooks out for all right quick overview so like I said it's going to be a little bit different than our other videos where we break down one individual tactic in this we're going to
be going over that full process right the tactics the strategies and also the journey so it's going to be split into two parts first one is the journey we're gonna be going through exactly what it looks like right from the Creator's perspective to go from zero to 1K to 3K to 5K to 10K per month with ugc and then we're also going to get into the tactics right the actual strategy so we're going to talk through our funnel formula different conversion mechanisms and what I call the four primary methods for landing deals the sniper method
shotgun method planting seeds method and the casting Nets method so whether you're a ugc Creator and you're at zero dollars right now or maybe you're already in that five 10K per month range maybe you're an influencer who's trying to get into the ugc space or maybe you're just looking to land brand Partnerships whatever it is there is going to be something in this video that you will be able to take and you will be able to apply to your business we've worked with hundreds of content creators to scale up their ugc and their brand deal
income many of them right now doing six figures per year and in this video I'm going to be showing you the same Journey that all of them go through right I've gotten to see a lot of people go through this process and when you break it down there's a lot of commonalities we're gonna walk through the whole thing here we'll also go through the Frameworks right the strategies that you can go through this is not going to be the basic you know just go into your kitchen and start filming some items it's not going to
be that basic advice that you've heard you know 37 different times there's going to be very tactical very specific stuff in here now before we get into the tactics and the very specific stuff I want to talk about the journey right we need to discover what the road ahead looks like right if you're going for a run or you're going on a a trip or whatever you always want to look at the map first that way you're prepared for the mountains The Valleys the different turns right you're prepared for the pitfalls that are going to
come along the way and once you are aware of those once you understand what those things are you'll be able to Breeze right by them right so let's actually talk through this journey what it looks like so starting out you just get started with ugc what's going to happen is the motivation is at an all-time high right and this happens with anything new that you start a new diet a new workout a new relationship right you have this like novelty that comes with it you're super excited you know you really want to just like dive
into it and then what happens fast forward a couple weeks and most people who just started that new thing ugc the diet whatever most people already quit right because that like novelty the newness the excitement it wore off and what you realize is oh there's actually some work involved here right and you don't want to be one of these people who you know you just get started and then it's like ah you know you give it a couple days and whatever it fades away you don't want to be one of those people those people are
the ones that are on this Perpetual cycle of uh stuck in this shiny object syndrome right they jump from one thing to another you don't want to do that and so guys there's going to be a lot of uh very very high quality Graphics throughout this as well so I hope you guys like the illustrations here uh as you can see I'm uh kind of artist myself here but this is what it looks like going from you know zero dollars to your first deal you're gonna be up on this high right here getting started and
then after a couple days after a couple weeks you're gonna realize oh there's like there's some work that's involved in this right it's going to take some time to land that first deal you're gonna go into this first little pit of despair and often getting past this hurdle it's super straightforward right it often requires almost no strategy at all just pure determination and effort right in our case getting past this first kind of this first little lull this first little low point it's just closing your first deal right and then once you get that first
deal boom you're back up on the high again and then as you continue to climb the deals are going to continue to come in you're going to actually start making some money you're like oh this is awesome and then you get to a point where life happens right you're gonna get stressed you're gonna feel like you're overworked you got kids to deal with you got your nine to five to deal with you realize like oh my God I'm on my phone all the time right now like you're just gonna get to this point where you
feel overwhelmed and this is typically when you're at this like 500 to 3 000 per month Point look at this another beautiful graphic right here so you know you you go through that first little pit right there you land a couple deals you're up on a high again you know you got you're talking with a bunch of Brands you're Landing deals here and there you're making like one two thousand dollars a month and then it's just like oh my God I don't know if I can do this like I feel overwhelmed right your inner voice
starts to eat away at your confidence right you start to tell yourself like oh is this for me like you're questioning everything you do you're like oh my God I don't even know if I can charge a brand this month like I'm actually not that talented you see all these other people around you you start to focus on just your your clients you know you neglect your own content big thing here too is you realize what you're doing is not sustainable right all these like one-off deals with Brands you realize like this is not something
that you want to do long term you realize it's not predictable too you're always really worried like where's the money you're going to come in next month you got the occasional one-off deals here and there but again you have no idea where the money's coming next month and you kind of start to dread it right you get to this point where you're like you just question everything you're like I don't know if I can do this I don't know if I want to do this like this just doesn't feel unsustainable I feel overworked and so
I want to talk through a a story uh something that happened the the other week in our Academy so one of our students Sarah she you know a few months back was on very very early stages of her ugc journey not making much money at all we started working together um we were working together at this time for around two months right somewhere in that ballpark and at this point she had already come a long way right from not doing much at all to now she was basically at this point right here that we're talking
about uh so starting out getting like basically no attention from brains right she had like the occasional like gifted deal maybe like a small gig here and there uh but not too much and now she was at the point where she was getting a lot of attention from Brands right uh so here's like something she posted so many wins this week I'm freaking out my email automation started a week ago we're going to talk about this email automation stuff when we get into the strategy section um despite being sick managed to respond to all the
all the responses two Zoom calls with Brands I'm talking with the CEO uh they're sending me products I have three other brands sending me products I'm getting communication with four Brands right so there's like a lot going on uh but in like a positive way right so we're on the call and Sarah expressed a ton of frustration right she's got kids at home she feels underpaid she feels like she's doing way too many gifted collabs um she has this never-ending list of like stuff that she's got to film she basically just feels like she can't
breathe right just like absolutely overwhelmed was nearly in tears on the call and so I told her Sarah let's take a step back for a minute right let's look at the road behind us let's look at this journey that we've been on if you rewind you know two months ago you were barely getting any attention from Brands and you would have been thrilled to have all of this work thrown at you right you would have been thrilled with all this work coming in your way she took a deep breath and she said yeah you know
what that's a really good point right like if I rewind two months ago and I tell myself that this is where I am I would have been excited about it and you see this is where a lot of creators they throw in the towel or they give up when they get to this point and it's because they can't see the next step right they don't have the map they can't see the light at the end of the tunnel they don't know they don't know to expect this big like frustration point right here and what they
imagine is things only getting worse things only getting harder right they don't see the next Peak so she was kind of stuck in this right here right this like 500 to 3 000 range is what I'll call it and this is where a lot of people get stuck they get like super frustrated there and they're not really able to see what the five to eight to 10K range actually looks like and so this is kind of what they imagine right they were up on a high and now they're like oh my God now you're starting
to get on this you know this this down where you're feeling super frustrated overworked everything and like our imagination just kind of extrapolates that like it's going to keep getting worse it's going to get harder and harder I'm gonna get more frustrated we're in reality there's just a couple things that we got to do to be able to turn this corner right here and get to that next Peak right get to that more stable five to eight five to ten K months where you're starting to feel actually really good about things and so again that's
why it's helpful to have the map and so I told her Sarah look you're on the path you just have to keep going right we're going to turn this corner and it's going to get easier from there so when you go from zero to a hundred thousand dollars per month what you need to know is there's going to be difficult times right there's going to be pain that's in there but what you need to realize is that this is growing pain right it's a good thing to go through this and it's good to just know
that this is going to happen right these things are going to come up so now let's talk about getting to this next Peak right at this point you got the money coming in you're working with Brands you got one off deals here and there you're feeling underpaid you're feeling overworked just like Sarah was you're basically saying yes to everything that comes your way because you feel like you need the money uh a lot of your collabs are either one-time collabs maybe they're low paying some of them you're still doing gifted and your income is nowhere
near stable nowhere near predictable right like I said earlier typically this happens to people around the 500 to like 3 000 per month range right here I have one thousand to 3K somewhere in that ballpark right and a lot of people have no idea how to make this next jump right going from like uh you know you're excited because you're making all this and then you kind of go through again through this little pit of despair right here where you're like frustrated you're overworked you're like this is not sustainable I don't know if I can
do it a lot of people don't know how to turn this corner right to get to these more stable uh let's call it like five to 10K months over here now there's three main things that you need to happen to make that turn first off you need to increase your rates right you're never going to get there just charging super low rates second off you need to learn how to convert one-time deals into retainers you're never going to get to 10K a month by just making 100 videos for 100 videos for 100 different clients right
I mean maybe you could I've never seen it done and that sounds just absolutely terrible I would not recommend it at all retainers are what I'm going to provide you with predictability and stability with not only your income but also like your your mindset too right if you feel like you got to go out there and like fight for your income every single month uh it's going to take a toll as opposed to you know okay you know I have a three thousand dollar retainer you know I'm feeling good over there it's going to help
your mindset as well and so this is what we see across the board when creators are going you know to that 5K and up range it's almost always is because they're charging more in their Landing retainers right so Tessa huge win monthly retainer first 5k month right so of course the first 5k month it's coming from this monthly retainer right that's the gonna be the majority of it Sean signing an 18 000 deal right if you want to get to these big months you're gonna have to sign these big deals six months for three thousand
dollars a month it just sets that that like bare minimum right so you can feel a little bit more secure about things um Claudia another one of our clients closed a 2500 a month deal for 20 posts another one for three thousand dollars right you need these big deals uh one of them came from the automations we'll talk about the automations later when we get to the strategy section Giselle closed the 12-month deal 17 000 could be up to forty two thousand dollars Sarah close her first retainer so again all these creators that we see
that take this jump right they get to the next level it's almost always going to come from raising rates and Landing retainers those are just two big things that you absolutely need now I said there were three things let's talk about the Third so retainer clients uh it's going to be a lot faster for you to deliver as well because you understand the Nuance right and you can spend less time on the research phase so often you know you get a new client you got to make one video for them you gotta you know get
their product shipped you got to learn about their products you have to do all this like research uh and then that's all for one video as opposed to you know you do that work once the research you get the product and everything and now you just make the videos every month so you're actually more efficient with your time there too but how can you actually raise your rates right and how can you actually convert these one-time deals into long-term Partnerships this is number three thing that you need you need results you absolutely need results at
this point right so if you're going to raise your rates the only reason that a brand would accept higher rates is because you're getting them more results right so here's Gisele one of our All-Stars in the community uh 2 600 for 10 videos she basically said she started off with um 180 dollars with this brand the videos performed really well and then I renegotiated my price right so it went from 180 a video to 260 dollars a video only because the videos performed really well got results here's Sean Sean when we started working together uh
his videos just like they weren't that good and Sean will tell you that too right he was much newer in the space and what he's done is incredible he's just gotten better and better and better and better at his skill set and the ability to get results for Brands whereas he was charging you know 100 bucks doing a lot of gifted stuff early on this post right here you know two ugc videos 750 each right if you're going to charge 750 per video you need to get results right you need great client results if you
don't have a case study you don't have analytics you don't have proof that you can get the results it's going to be hard to get to that next level right nearly impossible an effort alone won't get you there right let me go back to this little chart you can basically brute force your way from zero to 1K with ugc right you can do it with all effort hustle determination from one you know one to three k up to 10K hustle and determination is not going to be the only thing that gets you there you're really
going to need to refine your skills and get results for your clients so once you do that you improve your skill set create content that gets results for your clients you'll need to be able to show those results right to attract more paying clients but once you have that there's one more thing that you're going to need right I call this the missing ingredient some people have it some people don't and I want to tell you a story about Clark right so at the time of filming this uh Clark's blowing up in the ugc space
you might have seen them on Tick Tock Instagram Twitter I'll play video with Clark right after this too so you guys can see who he is but you go back a couple of months and Clark was making okay income as a ugc Creator right he was kind of on that little that second bump that I was showing you in the chart couple thousand dollars here and there but nothing consistent right and so when start when Clark started working with us I saw someone who had all of the puzzle pieces ready to go right made extremely
high quality content looked super professional he had already shown the ability to build a following right he had multiple pages that had like thousands of followers he had a ton of determination and hustle he was making content in a very trending unsaturated Niche right he was he was making content for like Tech and AI companies and he had a sales background so he could talk the talk with these brands and so what was missing right it was like why why was he stuck at this like kind of couple thousand dollar per month super inconsistent and
what happened in you know this eight week period of starting to work with Clark that basically allowed him to just Skyrocket past 100K per month sorry 10K per month um was it the new strategies and the tactics was it the ability to automate the Outreach process was it scripting better pitches was it you know putting his you know first big case study together optimizing his portfolio all these things definitely helped and especially getting that first big case study that's like a that's a huge piece of it um getting that and showing the results but in
reality there was one other missing thing right and it's not like a secret strategy it's not anything that's like super tactical that missing ingredient was simply belief right belief and confidence uh so there's like two little screenshots Clark sent us y'all been a game changer for me made me realize it's really possible you guys have seriously changed the game 10K per month is looking realistic that's a number that I never truly thought was possible right so I have no doubt that Clark he would have gotten past 10K per month at some point without us right
probably would have taken him longer would have taken some more time but he's super talented I know he would have got there on his own at some point but the one thing that allows creators to basically rock it past these levels that invisible gasoline on the fire is just truly the belief that they can do it right and I know some people probably rolling their eyes at this whereas other of you are like okay that really resonates with me but trust me this is one of the most important things right here and one of the
best ways to cultivate that belief is just to start talking with other people that have done it right surround yourself with creators that are hitting those same numbers and what you'll realize is those people are very similar to you right here's something Giselle said um she was talking about a brand deal she just landed amazing things have been happening after enrolling in your program it's all about the energy we tap into and the people that we surround ourselves with Megan said I'm new to the space I got on the Q a today and I knew
within 30 seconds I found my people I've been wanting to meet like-minded people for a while excited to dive in so what you'll realize is all of these people they are just like me right they have the same problems that I do they have the same insecurities that I do and you realize like instead of questioning yourself and saying I'm not good enough I can't do it you see how similar everyone is and you're like oh my God if they can do it I can do it too and it's like that little shift right there
that little click that might just be the missing piece that you've been looking for all along so that was a journey section of this video we're about to get into the tactics right now we're gonna talk about the funnel formula uh different methods for contacting Brands different methods for landing deals but before we get into this I'm going to play a short video that is of our client success director Nick interviewing a bunch of clients that have gone through this exact process things can be super helpful for you hopefully give you guys some inspiration as
well let's roll the clip and as of today I have hit the five thousand dollar Mark over five thousand dollars for the month and it is only July 11th how much money were you making as a Creator when you first joined maybe like 2 000 a month zero dollars and zero cents and on the odd month maybe a hundred dollars Canadian I was probably only making about 800 a month as a Creator it was very like side side gig like I made like close to five thousand dollars in a month before but like super inconsistent
that was the main reason I joined it was like I just didn't know how to make it consistent fifteen hundred to twenty five hundred dollars a month but I was working a lot I mean now I'm making like more than I was at my nine to five like four grand a month which is just like awesome I was only making like what 3 500 a month at my nine five working nine to five every day and now I'm like lollygagging around sometimes because I want a vacation or like I'm gonna tan for an hour while
I write my script and then I'll go film or like just I've turned into like truly a business owner and I have so much more structure to like my creating content flow answering emails speaking to Brands like I've just learned so much that I've kind of like brought with me to like bow awesome and to like literally a business it is quite literally night and day April to where our first week of July basically now I actually made 35 000 so literally seven times more and as of today I have hit the five thousand dollar
Mark over five thousand dollars for the month and it is only July 11th so I'm hoping to hit the six or seven thousand dollar mark this month it fluctuates but last month was like nine thousand so I definitely a big jump from 2000. like I'm definitely gonna hit my goal of like 10 000 by December like every month for the past like three to four months has been increased and if it's not it's okay but like it's just been so inspiring it's myself like I'm inspiring myself now on the higher end like this month I
should be hitting over six thousand dollars good for you Rachel it was so overwhelming I quickly realized that I didn't know what I was doing but in a good way because I was learning so much constantly encouraging each other and causing like what happened to this what did you do with this how's this happening and it's a constant back and forth of encouragement but also just like being able to help each other you guys literally hand pick people that are on the same wavelength like so everyone's really friendly really kind really open really honest I
totally have a transformation as a result of joining Brands meet creators I think it kind of lit a spark under my butt they're all just so willing to help you and willing to share and it's like we're all like on like I said on the same wavelength and it's insane because there's so many of us but you message someone and you think you get like this super friendly response and they're always able to help you this looks like hey I'm like how is this real and I was like wait that's me like a few months
later like I was like yeah I'm getting this crazy deal I really thought it was fake at first it's like oh these people are just like a bunch of people that are really excited about I don't know a deal or maybe not and then I saw it and I was like wow these people are just so supportive and it's so genuine and they just want to help you because it's not competition there's so many opportunities for everyone that they just wanted to help you I only have a retainer client because BMC taught me how to
optimize my LinkedIn account so because my LinkedIn was optimized for what I do they found me and I now have my biggest client with like Brands be creators I feel like I had like a whole like team supporting me you just build so much confidence just do one person better every day it was more like a what like a dream in the distance wanting to be this successful content creator full-time content creator but when I joined I was like I could see I could literally see that happening for me even though I was still at
zero dollars when I came in I could see that and it's or it is happening as we speak so like if the transformation was Unreal like I don't think I could have gone about it any other way all right hope you guys like that little video from some of our clients um pretty much done yep I'm done with the iced coffee now let's get into part two the tactics we're about to go deep into the strategies right now but real quick before we get into this if you guys are interested in working a little bit

like right you've seen the map now I want to show you exactly how to walk that path how do you get to that first Peak right how do we get Sarah to that point where she had too much work and she just felt stressed and underpaid and then how do you take that next step you start to try you start to charge higher prices you start to land those retainer deals and you hit those 10K months it's time to follow the process things let's talk through it all right so first thing I'm going to cover
what we call the funnel formula right you're gonna think this whole thing like a funnel volume times conversion rate equals money so if you're not good at math don't worry I'm gonna break this whole thing down but I want you to think of everything like a funnel right volume is how wide the funnel is and conversion rate is how narrow it becomes and again I have some beautiful illustrations just to kind of show you this whole thing so volume is how wide that funnel is at the top right how much we're getting in at the
top and this conversion rate is what's coming out at the bottom and so this applies to basically all business right except in this case we're going to talk just ugc and sponsorships and so your target audience is going to be the brands right so let's break down this component a little bit further and this illustration might help a little bit more a little bit more professional looking too so you have this volume up here at the top right this is you know all the people that are coming into this funnel that's the volume and then
the conversion rate is what's coming out at the bottom here right if we get you know maybe a thousand brands that are aware of us that we're coming in contact with how many deals are we closing out of that right we Closing one are we closing three and that's the conversion right there so let's break down these components right we can think about volume or top of the funnel like this how many brands are we coming in contact with overall and this is going to break down into brands that you reach out to and brands
that see you on social media right so the imbalance and the outbounds that's the volume piece the more Impressions that you're receiving the more brands that you're pitching the bigger the funnel is at the top right the more volume so going back to our equation right here volume is just how many brains are seeing us right and that's either imbalance or outbounds then conversion rate is out of all of those Brands right if a thousand Brands see us how many deals are we closing out of all those a thousand so let's break down the conversion
rate side quite simply the conversion rate is just the number of brands that you land as a client divided by the total number of brands that come in contact with you expressed as a percentage don't worry about the math terms or anything but for example let's say you reach out to a hundred Brands and you land one deal right that's a one percent conversion rate right there on your outbound campaign but I want you to think about it not just in terms of like the mathematical equation but I want to I want you to also
think about it like this your conversion rate is going to be directly proportional to the amount of confidence that a potential client has that you can get them a result right and a result in this case is you know either a top performing ad more sales more traffic to their website more social media followers right whatever kpi is being optimized for so for example for every brand that comes in contact with you if they have a hundred percent confidence and certainty that you'll be able to create their best performing ad ever you're not going to
have to get in front of a lot of Brands because your conversion rate is going to be so high right if every single brand that comes to you sees your portfolio and it's like oh my God I have certainty that she could get us to a hundred thousand followers or I have certainty that she's gonna make the best ad you don't have to get in front of that many Brands because your conversion rate is going to be so high and there's a lot that goes into this conversion rate some of the most important being just
the quality of your content right it's one of the biggest ones um your social media following and like yes even as a ugc Creator this does have a significant impact right if Brands see that like oh you've grown an account to half a million followers like okay that that takes a lot of skill right you've done it before I know you can do it again uh your case studies your client testimonials your analytics your sales skills and your ability to hold a discovery call with a brand very important your portfolio and a lot more we're
going to dive into more later but that's kind of what makes up this uh this conversion rate your ability to go from a brand seeing you to closing a deal now let's break the volume down even more right we're going to drill one layer lower I talked before and it was inbounds and outbounds right so making money with ugc is straightforward you need to get in front of a lot of Brands and convert as many of those Brands as you can into clients volume conversion rate right we got our formula right here get in front
of as many bearings as you can convert as many of those that's going to lead to Deals right but how do we actually do this in practice so another beautiful illustration uh in this section I'm going to dive into the four different methods that you can use to get in front of more Brands right these are four different methods on the volume side and it's going to be two for inbounds two for outbound so outbound we have the sniper method outbound we also have the shotgun method inbound we have what I call the planting seeds
method and then we also have the casting Nets method and basically all of these are what make up this volume right all of these lead to us getting in front of more brands so let's talk through first off the sniper method this is probably the most common outbound approach for ugc creators right this is what every person thinks of when they refer to like oh I'm just going to pitch Brands right typically you reach out to a brand you either email them or you DM them this is typically the sniper method so here's just something
from Skye two days ago I pitched 40 different brands between yesterday and this morning I've already had 12 Brands respond interested to me even talking about social media management for three of them seriously so happy to be here pitching is so much easier using these tools and so what she's talking about is the sniper method right she sat down and wrote out 40 different pitches to 40 different brands she went with this sniper method very similar to what we teach in our seven day challenge we go through our assembly line pitch process the tools that
she's talking about here too are our brand finder software and our AI pitch generator right so we try to make this sniper method as efficient as possible right so you can sit down and just go boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom send out pitches this is one way to get more volume in that top of funnel and so in order for this to work your pitch needs to have the four following elements I want to get into the pitch a little bit here personalization right you need when you're reaching out to someone
they need to feel like it's meant for them right they don't want to feel like it's just some spam email you also need to have your offer in there slash why you're reaching out right so make it personalized and then hey here's who I am here's why I'm reaching out to you then you want some results and social proof to back up your offer back back up your claim right so if you say hey I want to make uh video ads for you or I want to run your Tick Tock account well you know why
you why should you be the one to do it if you can if you can sprinkle in there like oh you know I've grown this other account to 100 000 followers and I've worked with like this big name company over here it's like okay there's some results there's some reason why you know maybe I should listen to you and then you want to end with a frictionless or conversational call to action so I'm not going to dive in too too deep on the pitch here but um just something that I see a lot of people
do wrong like they try to go and like close the deal in this first email where in reality you just want a response right the goal of this first pitch is just to get a response from someone so you want to make it so it's a very frictionless way for them to respond and so with this method we need to make sure we're being efficient with our time if you spend three hours a day and you're sending five pitches right you're never gonna scale to 10K per month just doing that so pros and cons with
the sniper method super personal you have a very high likelihood of actually converting that brand because of how personal it is the cons on the other side are it's it is a little bit more time intensive some creators will actually take this like rejection personally we've noticed that this is a a con of this method right you send out 20 pitches and like you get rejected by 20 people it actually hurts some people's confidence right it kind of like lowers their belief and it's almost like a downward spiral so we've noticed that and some creators
are just not efficient with this process so one thing we like to do in our programs is make this as efficient for people as possible uh some that we help out with in the seven day challenge and then of course in our Academy as well using different tools so that way you can sit down and you know pitch 40 different brands in an hour and get a ton of them to respond because you're being efficient with your time and also you have the right pitch all set up ready to go all right method number two
so the shotgun or sorry the sniper method most people are familiar with right that's kind of your typical like how ugc creators pitch to Brands the shotgun method is something that most creators they don't even you know they don't even know that this exists right and the ones that do know that this exists the ones that are aware that this they likely struggle to actually execute it but when the shotgun method is done correctly this can be one of the most powerful tactics to land clients right and if you're someone who's kind of stuck in
that 500 to 3 000 per month range kind of that you know we showed the hills up and down you're stuck in that little middle bracket right there this has the ability to help you get to the next level so here's Maddie got my first deal from the email sequence uh I was surprised to open my email from a brand this week after a follow-up that they want to work with me and if things go well continue a partnership easiest deal ever so like a lot of people like kind of get surprised when this works
too which is so funny uh they're like I didn't actually think it was going to work and like oh my God it it worked um so I think that's hilarious uh Tess collaboration secured with the email automation less than 24 hours after I got my notification that it started a brand that I pitched on some video ideas they love them Sean another deal um four four twelve hundreds upwards of 21 000. got another deal we're starting with four videos then moving to a six month contract uh this deal is coming from the automations still got
six months left in the automations keep grinding right so when people are referring to other automations that's the that's the shotgun method right Gisele I've been MIA I just want to let you know that I signed another client on Monday I've been getting replies from the automated messages I'm scheduling two or three calls per week they're bringing in new connections uh been the best investment I made so far extremely happy with the results I'm getting so yeah the automations again this is like the shotgun method retainer client from the automations they've only been going for
three weeks uh just signed one through bmc's automation system six month contract for over a thousand dollars a month so stoked about this so this is the shotgun method right when someone says the automations it's the shotgun method it's a pure volume play right so the sniper method is you sending these individual pitches right hyper personalized shotgun method it's a numbers game right this is where you're reaching out to thousands of Brands per month I already hear people but like Mike that's crazy like how could I reach out to a thousand Brands per month it's
gonna take me so much time it's automated right automate the process this can be something that's tricky to get set up uh definitely tricky to get going there's a lot of kind of technical pieces that have to happen behind the scenes uh this is something that our team we basically handle all those technical elements uh provide all the required softwares and everything and once you actually get it set up right once the all the infrastructure is ready to go it's pretty easy to just manage it right the hard part is kind of like getting that
process up and running getting it set up but then once you manage it you'll have you know thousand emails going out per month and now it's just about responding and the communication with the brains and I'll give you some insight into how to get this automation set up uh how to get kind of the shotgun approach going you really need four things right first one is a properly configured and warmed email address uh multiple of them for scale so you don't want to do this on like your main email account because what could happen right
typically how these things work is every couple months you're gonna have to swap out the email uh because it'll kind of get burned out right and you don't want to do it on your main email so you need a new email you need to get all the technical configuration set up and you need to get it warmed so you have to go through an email warming process first then you have to find over why reliable way to find Brands and decision makers at scale right so if you want to send a thousand emails per month
you got to find a thousand emails this is something that we give everyone access to our brand finder software it's where you can go in you just type in a keyword right something like dog treats right and it'll show you three thousand dollar tree companies then you say hey I want to talk to the CEOs I want to talk to people that are in the marketing department people that are in social media and influencer it pulls all those people's emails and then the next part you have to be good at writing your email templates or
your email scripts right and so you can either write them yourself or you can use AI to help you with this at scale it's another thing that we help people with and then the final piece is the code email scheduling tool so again you're not going to be there every day hitting send send send send send like 50 times a day super annoying right you want this as something you set it and you forget it right it's just running for you in the background uh we have our own email sending platform that we give all
of our members access to as well so you just upload everything in there you hit the start button and you just you let that thing run in the background and so we typically get this infrastructure set up pretty quickly for clients and then they basically just have to spend a few hours a week maintaining it right uploading new contacts into there responding to the brands that are interested that way when you have those super busy weeks where you know you don't have any extra time to pitch and like you just want to sleep this thing's
kind of running for you in the background right so when you get to that point where like I feel overworked I'm stressed like I have no time you still have kind of a machine that's running for you in the background super important now here's the big secret with the shotgun approach right this isn't supposed to just be like spray and pray right we don't want this to just be like spam emails everywhere the trick is to make this shotgun approach seem like you're doing the sniper approach right so when like someone opens it they read
it they need to feel like that email is hyper personalized to them right and so for this we'll use segmentation multiple different campaigns and also AI to help achieve this um and again I think it's so funny when like people go through this and they're like I didn't think that was gonna work and like oh my God I can't believe I just landed a huge deal from this um like this actually someone posted this like a few weeks ago I was laughing at it this actually works LOL sad I missed the call tonight but I
wanted to share that my campaigns finally making moves and out of everything that was sent today I had a 50 response rate so like yeah I mean imagine imagine sending out like uh a thousand emails a month and you're getting like 50 response rate you couldn't even keep up with it anyway that's the shotgun method so we talked about two of the outbound methods now we're going to talk about inbounds right how to get more inbounds first one is the casting Nets method so the next way to get more volume in this equation let me
go back to that little graph for you guys right now where is it not that one I hate that one this one right here so we talked about the outbounds now we want to talk about inbounds remember volume times conversion rate we need to get as many Brands as we can in this type of funnel so we talked about the outbounds let's load up the inbounds now let's go back where we shotgun method we just did that one all right the casting Nets this is what most people refer to like the traditional inbounds right a
brand sees you from your content they come to you they send you an email right the you know the typical case the better content you create more Impressions you're going to get more likely that brains are going to get in touch with you now a couple caveats here not all impressions are created equal right you need to be creating the right type of content to attract brands that you want to work with and you need to have a great way of converting them and letting you know letting them know what you actually do so some
things that you should be kind of sprinkling into your content one is talking about previous examples that you did right showcase and add some context to those so don't just post like here's a ugc example right have that example but then add some context to it right show your expertise another big thing that I don't see enough creators taking advantage of is use your pinned post right this is kind of part of the funnel this goes for Instagram Tick Tock Twitter basically every every platform you have a piece of content that goes viral right let's
say you posted something gets a ton of Impressions and then what's going to happen some people are going to click over to your page maybe they click your link but a lot of them they're just gonna check out your PIN posts right you're directing them there and so you want to use those pin posts to help convert right use that pin post to tell the new audience exactly what you do how you can help them encourage them to reach out encourage them to check out your portfolio not enough creators take advantage of this pin post
stuff also this is pretty obvious but just like get your portfolio linked up in your bio you want to make it very easy for them to reach out to you right make your email very accessible and make your DMs open another thing I see a lot of people they'll they'll create a Twitter account or they'll create account like their DMS are closed don't do that um here's someone that posted a few weeks ago viral video and Tick Tock thanks for your help took everyone's criticism made a video that wound up with 1.4 million views I
received over 600 email inquiries and over 800 questions on the video I'm in shock now to move into monetizing this with Hotel Brands so yeah inbounds are a huge piece of this puzzle you make really good content and you're able to convert those Brands into conversations good things are going to happen now another way to get more inbounds and to cast a wider net is to get on a ton of these Creator marketplaces right so companies that are similar to Brands meet creators there's a lot of them out there personally I think we're the best
I think we're one of the very few that are actually designed for creators best interest in mind no fees designed for long-term Partnerships you control all the usage rights you control what kind of contract you want you're not locked into anything free for a Creator still I think we do it the best but I'm going to acknowledge that like there's a lot of other people that do this too right a lot of other companies that have these kind of marketplaces these platforms and simply by being on all of these platforms you will get more exposure
that will lead to Deals right so I'm not someone that's like you should only sign up for brains me creators now we encourage and we actually help all of our students get on all these platforms right so one thing that we do in our Academy we actually register all of our students on 35 of these sites right we call this our opportunity overload section you just kind of fill out a form and then we go and we register you on every single one of these websites out there and we have a lot of students that
they just land deals a lot of times like big time deals just from being on those platforms should because you get more exposure just from being there right um we've had students line deals with massive companies just because they were being seen over there and a lot of times they just like it's set it and forget it a lot of times they just forget that they were on those platforms because they didn't even register themselves uh here's a post I think this was Sean that said this uh just signed one video deal with Justice in
Walmart for over 500 um this is a direct result of me completing the opportunity overload portion of this program and the company reached out to you don't sleep on the opportunity overload yeah so like I said opportunity overload that's where we just sign everyone up for all these different platforms again we want to increase our surface level right increase our exposure increase our Impressions increase the size of the net and then those inbounds are going to start to flood right filling up that volume section planting seeds let's talk about this the other form of inbounds
this I'll say this is my secret method I love this one I've almost all of the deals that I've landed came from the planting seeds method and so if you want to lay in the OS with dream companies which that's kind of like where I'm at right now I really only I'm very very selective with deals I'll do they have to be like multi-thousand dollar deals with companies that I really love this is the way to do it we're not just planting seeds guys we're planting oak trees here so this is how I get billion
dollar companies like active campaign to reach out to me and to ask to work with me which also puts you in a really good uh position of Leverage right when someone's coming to you I call this the planting seed method and the hardest part about this method is that you need patience right when you plant the seed if you want that oak tree to grow guess what you're going to need patience so this isn't a quick one this is a long term you need to give the seeds sometime to Blossom and so here's what you're
gonna do first off you have to identify the brands that you want to work with right who are these dream brands then what you're going to do you're going to make a video with their product something that seems very organic right it doesn't feel like an ad and you're gonna post it on your own social media accounts you're gonna tag them you're going to use their hashtags you're going to write their name in The caption right so it's optimized for search and then you simply just need to wait and then you have planted your first
seed and so that seed it might Bloom into a flower in the next few days and weeks maybe months maybe even it will take years right yes years I've seen I've personally done this and it's taken almost two years to Blossom and I'm gonna walk you through the story soon sometimes they blossom sometimes they don't right even in real life you know you plant 100 seeds maybe you only get like 15 flowers out of it right but when they do oftentimes these will be the most lucrative deals that you can land um story time so
back in mid 2021 right I started to identify some companies that I wanted to work with right companies that I felt very aligned with you know I love that they're proud of it worked with my content too three of them where zapier active campaign and click up right kind of tech companies that used all their products um used all the softwares in my business they're all multi-billion dollar companies and so what I started to do is planting seeds and to this day I've been fortunate enough that I was able to work with all three of
those companies some of them I still work with right now on a monthly retainer basis uh and just to show you the power of planting these seeds so back in November of 2021 I made this video about how we do email marketing at my company right just like a valuable video showing people our email marketing process and at the end of the video I'll give a little shout out right I said hey we use activecampaign look at this look at this young mic over here um so I gave a shout out to activecampaign that was
the email tool that we use and so of course in the caption I wrote activecampaign I tagged them use a hashtag right I wanted to be optimized so they could eventually stumble upon this video and I meant to reach out to them a couple months after this is kind of part of the planting seeds methods after you point the seed you should reach out to the brand a few months later but I just I honestly forgot I had a lot going on um so you fast forward to April of 2023 so that's like almost two
years later or like 16 months something like that and guess what popped up in my LinkedIn DMs hey Mike another Tick Tock video with activecampaign I handle influencer relations at activecampaign I know you've posted about us before would you be open to partnering with us on another video budget is negotiable that's a good sign right there so that seed that I planted nearly one and a half years ago was finally blooming and I would be one of the very first creators to work with activecampaign pretty sure I was the first one ever to work with
them all in tick tock and so you need to start thinking like these Brands right let's say all of a sudden this brand some influencer marketing budget pops up right or there's like a leadership meeting they're like all right you know what let's test out influencer marketing right or let's test out ugc what's the first thing they're gonna do right they're gonna go search for their own company on social media and they're gonna see what's out there they're gonna see who's already making content about them and that's where they're gonna stumble right on that seed
that you planted and it works so well because it's like test driving a car before you buy it right in our Academy we call this the the no imagination necessary pitch right that's kind of when you when you follow up after planting the seed and so what's nice is they can see exactly what type of content that you would create for them because you've you've already made it right they don't have to imagine like oh I wonder what it would be like working with Mike I wonder what he could make us they can just see
it right it's like test driving a car and so Brands want to work with creators who also already use their products which like I clearly demonstrated that hey I like this product I I I'll show you exactly how I would make content like you can already see it it just makes so much sense um so this is a strategy that like if you're serious about this space right ugc in brain deals this is something that you should be implementing uh to land the big ones right take some time but trust me these will pay off
all right hopefully that clap wasn't too loud sorry guys um so we've covered the volume section right the four different ways two inbounds two outbounds two inbounds two outbounds but volume is not the whole equation let's get into this conversion too so there's tons of creators out there they get millions of Impressions right they get a lot of volume but they make literally zero dollars and so why is that they don't have this conversion section dialed in you know creators they sit at a computer all day sending cold emails DMS to Brands and they just
hear crickets so we need to be able to convert that attention convert those Brands convert those eyeballs into money so now let's talk about this the conversion rate conversion mechanisms how we go from Brands seeing us in to money and it's this process right here you get brands that are aware of you interested the conversations then you have the proposals and then you're Landing deals so remember what I said earlier conversion rate is the level of belief that a brand has that you can get them the results right how confident are they in you that
you can actually get them that result so one of the most important things here getting case studies and actually having results already right the brand needs the confidence that you can get them results if you've gotten incredible results for similar brands it's so much easier to actually pay you as a Creator as opposed to like oh your content looks really good but you don't have results right so getting those results are key and then you want to get those results of course displayed in your portfolio so it's really important to have a good portfolio but
I actually personally think like portfolios are a little bit overrated and people spend way too much time on their portfolio uh personally like I've worked with a ton of billion dollar companies that I referenced before and to this day I've never even had a portfolio um just because I've kind of been able to reference other brands that I've worked with and they've seen they've seen my work on Tick Tock but regardless you should get a portfolio I think I'm kind of a an anomaly in this in this uh Department here so we could spend hours
talking about how to build a portfolio but I don't want to spend too much time there this video is already getting long and there's a ton of really good resources out there on how to build a good portfolio but this is something that I feel like no one talks about so I'm going to go into this a little bit longer Discovery calls Loom videos and the ability to actually sell yourself so I think this is just as important as building a portfolio if not even more important but this is something that no one one really
talks about so imagine this a brand sees your work they're interested in working with you and then you get on a call and you're just giving off this like nervous wreck Vibes uh you're rambling a lot there's a lot of these like weird awkward moments and the brand is just like is this is this his first time doing this is this her first time doing this right they start to think like oh she's not that confident uh she probably hasn't done this too many times before and then their belief that you can get them result
it goes down right which means what lower conversions as opposed to the complete other side of this you're very confident you take control of the call you're asking the right questions you're doing the research prior you're giving off this like I've done this a million times Vibe like I can do this with my eyes closed they're just spewing confidence then what happens conversion rates through the roof right so this is so important here this like ability to handle a discovery call we also do in our Academy we have creators send these Loom videos a lot
like I'm recording this on loom right now just send over like a short loom video to a brand uh where a lot of times that confidence comes off but real quick let me read this um just had my first big Discovery call with pet product CEO thanks Nick and Mike I knew exactly how to handle it and I came in guns blazing so when you have these Discovery calls you want to go into them prepared right you want to go into them like as if like oh you've done this a million times I think this
was like one of Ryan's uh maybe first calls that she did he loved my ideas he loved the audit and then he went on to tell me he also owns several other Pet Brands we looked at four wants me to do all the social media content for them do everything for Amazon I told him I'd Deep dive into each brand and get it proposal to him this week and we spoke for almost an hour so yeah these Discovery calls are massive right if you can get on a call with a brand and you come prepared
you know what questions ask you know how to handle it it's just going to give off that Vibe like oh they've done this a million times like yeah you're hired right so being able to hand those is important one of my favorite things to do on these calls is to name drop another relevant product all right so giving you guys some like little tactical tips for these Discovery calls right if you're going through and you just kind of name drop you know a big client and how you got them you know certain results and of
course only if this is like public knowledge right if you're under like some sort of NDA or you can't talk about it of course you can't do that uh but something along the lines of like oh yeah you know what I did something similar for company X and like here's what we found right and here's what I'm thinking we should do for your company right something like this uh then they're like oh wow you know they worked with this other company and like they got this other company results again the confidence in you through the
roof even if you only have a couple small collabs right you don't even need to mention the name you can just tease another thing that you did for another company and how it worked right super subtle reference you don't have to Overkill right just as you're kind of talking through ideas on that call you might be like you know what you know I've done a couple videos like this I've done a couple videos like this this style always seems to perform better you know I did this for one company the run as a Facebook ad
it's doing really well like I think we should focus on this style over there just something very simple like that subtle reference it just gives that Vibe of like oh they've done this like a million times before let's work together all right so let's talk about making the most out of each client so you've got your conversion mechanisms dialed in you're getting in front of a ton of different brands with the volume side of things but now you want to make sure you're getting the most out of each client right one thing we need to
be doing here is offering upsells you always want to offer more right raw footage usage rights for paid ads reposting to your own social media accounts strategy sessions Consulting right and ultimately moving towards retainer deals now there's really only one thing that's going to allow you to do this right to upsell clients to turn them into retainers and to constantly charge higher and higher prices remember we talked earlier on the journey if you're going to get to those 10K months you need to be constantly raising your rates and you need to get retainers the one
key thing that's going to allow you to do this over delivering right now let's talk through a scenario here let's say a client pays you a certain amount right they're paying you 500 a month and then you go ahead and you deliver them what feels like two thousand five hundred dollars worth of value there is this imbalance right it's this like mysterious law that states that you must be returned an additional two thousand dollars I want to explain this right now the law of reciprocity you guys have probably heard of this but we're about to
get a little theoretical here some of this you know might come off as a little bit out there a little bit woo-woo but I promise you this is going to be the most important section of like this entire training so far if you understand this this will help you build so much more wealth uh this goes like far beyond ugc brand deals this is this is everything right I built this entire company to where it is solely off of the back of this principle right here and the law of reciprocity states that human beings are
wired to return favors and to pay back debts what you give shall be returned to you right garyvee says jab jab jab right hook right which he explains is kind of like give give give then you ask Andrew Carnegie no man can become rich without himself enriching others right you hear you hear this all over the place this law of reciprocity rephrased in different ways right spiritual teachers have taught this thousands of years if you knew what I know about the power of giving you would not let a single Meal Pass without sharing it in
some way that was Buddha give and it shall be given to you Jesus so quite simply said the value that you put out there right whatever you give it will always be returned to you and you need to be providing more if you want more every single step of the way in this process and so the problem is that most people they want to just get first right that's the that's the problem that most people have stuck in their head like they want to receive first and it doesn't work like that right there's a lot
of these people out there that are like the I call them like the know your worth people right the never do anything for free like never do anything extra always charge like for every single thing and I think that's a dangerous way of thinking right I am not the like no you're worth charge for everything type of person that is not me at all right I am the you want more go give more that's our way of thinking that brings me creators and I think this other way this like the know your worth never do
anything for free never do anything extra never go over the top I think that's a dangerous way of thinking and I think it leads to a downward spiral right instead we want an upward spiral for example let's say a company they're paying you two thousand dollars a month but you want to somehow get this to like a five thousand dollar a month retainer right here's the process that I would go through step one you need to ask yourself how can I give them five ten even fifteen thousand dollars worth of results right they're paying me
two thousand how can I give them more results if you go and you do that the money will catch up to you right there's going to be this like time delay but if someone's paying you 2 000 and you're constantly giving them ten thousand dollars worth of value every month it's going to catch up right uh think about that you know the the post that we had with Giselle earlier where you know her rates went from like a hundred and so to like 260. why because she delivered exceptional results was able to raise those rates
so we have another beautiful illustration here when you give more than you are reciprocated there's this natural like imbalance of nature you will need to be rewarded right for it to catch up it's one step behind it needs to catch up you need to be patient it's this natural law right so let's say right here the value that you've given like you're giving you know five thousand dollars worth of value but you're only receiving two thousand dollars a month it's only a matter of time before this catches up so I want you to picture this
right imagine that that force is like a balloon or like a a beach ball being held underwater right and so it's not immediate but it's only a matter of time until it finds its way to the top right so it finds that equilibrium so you're giving this value over here and then the value you're receiving is over here right it's like this beach ball underwater it's this natural force that it wants to come to equilibrium right you think of it like a friendship right if you're the friend that like you're constantly helping your other friends
with stuff you know you're constantly uh you know helping them move out do all these random things like they kind of feel a little bit like indebted to you they're like I gotta I gotta do something for for Mike all right like he's helped me with all this stuff it's this natural force that someone wants to get back to equilibrium except what's great about this is you get to set that water line right you get to pick how much value you want to over deliver which is awesome so now why don't people do this right
it seems pretty obvious it's like okay it's like I want more I just got to give more the big thing is giving is not easy right we're programmed to be in a scarcity mindset to always be needing something right to always like it's always want to always ask first it's kind of how we program but from my experience this will change your life if you're able to implement this right in all aspects not just ugc but all aspects life business everything everything you do especially when it comes to Landing clients and this is always happening
right 24 7. from the first touch point that you have with the brand to that five figure deal that you land with him it's always happening in the way that you communicate with them in that email where instead of just sending your rates maybe you send your rates and you'll also send over a bunch of ideas to them or you send over like a three minute loom video auditing their accounts and showing them similar ads that are working really well you didn't get paid for that but you just over delivered maybe it's a small over
delivery but you're over delivering every step of the way right maybe that first deal they pay you for five videos and you're like hey you know what um I made five videos but I also made you these extra ones too boom you just over delivered and now they they know what to expect from you right and they constantly you're raising the bar and they're catching up to you this is literally the Cornerstone of everything we do at Arrangement craters like this is one of my huge beliefs uh this is why that you know we got
to where we are today this exact principle we give before we ask right and I'm constantly trying to fill this tank with water right raise that beach ball for example the free opportunities that we have for Content creators and Brands we make zero dollars off of this right we actually lose money on this it costs us it costs us money to run that whole thing um every company out there they do this same thing all these content creator connection platforms they do the same thing but they take a percentage of that deal right or they
charge the brand a ton of money or there's some type of subscription model for us we literally lose money on it we charge zero dollars right but why it's like why would you ever do that Mike why'd you lose money on something why wouldn't you charge for it again we're filling the tank with water we're giving before we ask we're delivering value on complete autopilot by the way delivering value to people before we ever ask for anything what else do we do send out very valuable information on our newsletter right publish really good content every
week people some people tell me it's like yo Mike you actually charge for this newsletter no we're giving away free value our AI pitch generator you go to brainsmeetcreators.ai that tool right there is completely free it writes incredible customized pitches that creators can use to send to Brands again we lose money on that every every single month right it's actually very expensive every time you like search something that costs us money why do I do that right why do I just give that for free it's this exact concept right here right we're practicing what we
preach with this this video right here right this is taking a lot of time like this is a long video and just to like write all that out takes a lot of time right this took weeks to write free value always in every single step of this process over deliver and you're going to see how much quicker you're going to be able to scale to those 10K months because brands are just going to want to pay you more because they know what they're going to get from you all right so some final thoughts if you
