God Wants Your Heart of Obedience Today | Morning Prayer | christian motivation

before we pray I'd like to say a few words and then we'll pray together do you find yourself truly following God do you live according to his word when I talk about obedience it's easy to picture something straightforward and direct like following a strict set of rules or commands we might imagine an Old Testament moment where God speaks clearly and audibly giving us direct instructions that we must follow but that's not the kind of obedience I'm talking about here I'm talking about the kind of obedience that comes from having God's word right in front of

you readily available at any moment in today's world you are blessed with access to the Bible like never before it's in your home on your phone and easily within your reach the wisdom and guidance contained within the scriptures are always at your fingertips yet how often do you truly follow what it says how often do you read these sacred texts and then let them shape your actions your thoughts and your heart the Bible is not just a book of stories or ancient wisdom it's a Living Word meant to guide you daily but the real question

is how much of it do you actually live out obedience to God is more than just knowing his word it's about letting that word transform your life it's about aligning your actions with the teachings and commands found in the Bible even when it's challenging even when when it asks more of you than you feel capable of giving obedience to God and faith in him are deeply connected like two sides of the same coin you can't have one without the other true obedience requires Faith because often what God asks of you doesn't make sense by worldly

standards you need Faith to obey because obedience to God isn't always logical or easy it often requires stepping out into the unknown trusting that God's plan is perfect even when you can't see the whole picture and you can only obey fully when your faith is strong because obedience especially when it's hard is an act of trust it's saying God I don't understand but I trust you I trust that you know what's best for me this kind of faith-filled obedience is a powerful testimony to the depth of your trust in God it shows that you believe

his ways are higher than yours that his wisdom far surpasses your own and that his love for you will never lead you astray the reason for this is that God doesn't always provide all the details of his plan he doesn't hand you a detailed map or a step-by-step guide instead he asks you to trust him to have faith in his perfect timing and wisdom think about it if God gave you every detail every Twist and Turn of your journey where would the need for Faith be faith faith is born in the spaces where you don't

have all the answers where the path ahead is unclear but you move forward anyway trusting that God is leading you take for example the story of Abraham when God tested him God didn't give Abraham a detailed explanation of why he was asking him to sacrifice his beloved Son Isaac there were no assurances given no reasons provided just a simple yet profound command take now your son your only son Isaac whom you love and go to the land of Mariah and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall

tell you Genesis 22:2 this command must have shaken Abraham to his core yet he chose to obey even in the face of unimaginable pain and confusion Abraham obeyed without hesitation even though he couldn't possibly understand why God was asking such a thing imagine the turmoil in his heart the questions that must have raised through his mind but despite the overwhelming emotions Abraham didn't question God or try to bargain with him he simply trusted and obeyed this kind of obedience is rare and precious it's the kind of obedience that Springs from a deep and Abiding Faith

In God's goodness even when circumstances suggest otherwise Abraham's willingness to obey despite not knowing the why is a powerful example for you imagine how much much your life could change if you had that same Spirit of obedience imagine if your attitude was if it's in God's word I will follow it how different would your life be if you approached every situation with a heart that says God I trust you I may not understand but I will obey because I know you love me and want what's best for me after Abraham showed his willingness to obey

God's command to sacrifice Isaac Genesis 22: 15 17 tells us then the angel of the Lord called again to Abraham from Heaven this is what the Lord says because you have obeyed me and have not withheld even your son your only son I swear by my own name that I will certainly bless you I will multiply your descendants Beyond number like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore your descendants will conquer the cities of their enemies what a powerful reminder that God Rewards obedience because of Abraham's obedience God blessed him abundantly

far beyond what he could have imagined Abraham's descendants were numerous and Victorious all because he chose to trust and obey God this story shows you that obedience isn't just about following rules it's about aligning yourself with God's will trusting that his plans for you are good and believing that he rewards those who diligently seek him when you obey you open yourself up to the blessings and favor that God longs to pour into your life you might not see the rewards immediately but you can trust that God in his perfect timing will honor your obedience in

ways that exceed your expectations now let's pray together Lord Jesus I realize that as a human I often believe my way is right yet it falls short of what is truly right and just in your eyes I am prone to rely on my own understanding thinking I know best but so often my thoughts and actions stray far from your truth this is why Lord I desperately need your word to guide me your word is a light to my path Illuminating the steps I should take and the decisions I should make father the standards I set

for myself are often so much lower than your holy standards which are perfect and pure there is a way that seems right to me but your word tells me that its end leads to death a stark reminder that my judgment is flawed without you and so Lord Jesus I come before you acknowledging my need for your guidance I humble myself and seek your wisdom understanding that without you I am lost I seek your direction in all that I do and I rely on your word as my Foundation I depend on the counsel of the Holy

Spirit father to help me as I fight the good fight of faith without your guidance I would falter and fall but with you I am strengthened to stand firm in my faith I pray Lord for a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon my life may the Holy Spirit fill me completely making my heart and mind sensitive to what is Godly and pure in a world filled with distractions and Temptations I need the Holy Spirit to sharpen my awareness of what is true and good I also pray that through through the Holy Spirit I will

become more Discerning of evil and its deceptions I am often surrounded by Voices That try to lead me away from you but with the holy spirit's discernment I can recognize what is false and cling to what is true keep me strong King Jesus so that I will not bow or bend to the ways of the world or to the evil doctrines that surround me the world offers many paths that seem enticing but they lead me away from you your word in Isaiah 45:5 reminds me I am the lord and there is no other apart from

me there is no God I will strengthen you though you have not acknowledged me Lord you alone are God and indeed father there is none like you in all of creation there is no one who compares to your majesty power and love no one Rivals you God you stand alone as The Sovereign Lord of all un matched in your glory you have no equal and in your greatness you deserve all my worship and obedience I ask you father to give me an obedient Spirit one that chooses to follow your word rather than my own emotions

and desires it is easy to be swayed by my feelings but true obedience comes from a deep commitment to your word instill within me a spirit that submits wholly to your will and to your ways even when it is difficult King Jesus work within me to remove all doubt all resistance and all Disobedience I know that obedience is not always easy especially when it requires me to go against my own desires but I also know that obedience to you leads to life and peace I recognize Lord that it isn't always easy to yield to your

will especially because of the sinful nature of My Flesh I'm often tempted to do things my way but I ask for your help to overcome these Temptations in those moments when I struggle I pray that the Holy Spirit would step in to help and strengthen me let holy spirit Power be made perfect in my weakness enabling me to follow you Faithfully make me a Believer who is firm in my faith fully assured that in the end whatever you ask of me whatever you require will ultimately work for my good help me to trust in your

goodness and sovereignty knowing that your plans for me are always for my best even when I do not understand them Lord Jesus help me to view my trials as opportunities to grow in faith and maturity let me find joy in knowing that through these challenges I am becoming more like you more equipped to live out my faith boldly Lord Jesus I long to reach a level of faith and maturity where it becomes a joy to carry my cross and follow you I desire to grow in my relationship with you to the point where my greatest

joy comes from being obedient to your will I I want to reach a place where pursuing righteousness and crucifying my flesh daily is a delight rather than a burden I pray that my love for you and my longing for your presence will surpass any other desire in this world let my heart be so captivated by you that nothing else can compare I bless your Holy Name King Jesus for you are worthy of all praise I trust and believe that you have heard my prayer for you are a God who listens and responds to his children
