Lucifer's Rebellion against God which occurred in heaven is a complex mystery that we will be looking at today but where was God when Lucifer conspired against him why didn't he stop Lucifer straight away today we will be looking at where God was during Lucifer's Rebellion Lucifer the guardian cherub who was perfect in all his ways this being was So Glorious he would walk up and down upon stones of fire and was a respected leader in Heavenly worship he would enter the presence of the almighty and look directly into the face of God which is a
privilege that only a few angels have but Lucifer began to look at himself too much he began to focus on his own Beauty and Perfection which nobody could deny but then Pride entered into him which then caused him to no longer want to be like God but it caused him to want to be God the Bible has many ways of depicting Satan we see him in the Garden of Eden in the form of a snake and from there on forward he has constantly been busy deceiving and Leading Men astray the Lord Jesus calls him the
father of Lies Lucifer was known as the son of the morning in art he is regularly depicted as a male figure bearing a torch of fire implying that he often announce the dawn of a new day in the Old Testament Lucifer is first referred to as the morning star in Isaiah 14 verse2 it says how you have fallen from Heaven Morning Star son of the Dawn you have been cast down to the Earth you who once laid low the Nations Lucifer's name in turn was translated from the Hebrew word halel which means brightness God created
Lucifer along with all the other angels in heaven however Lucifer eventually rebelled against God leading to his Fall From Grace this intriguing narrative raises questions about why God would create an angel only for him to turn against him and become the embodiment of evil for eternity being once the most radiant and Splendid of all Celestial beings Lucifer lived among the heavenly host and stood as an anointed Guardian cherub entrusted with the sacred duty of leading Worship in heaven yet within the chambers of his Angelic heart a subtle transformation occurred Lucifer's Beauty Once a reflection of
God's Own Splendor kindled a spark of Pride he came to the realization of his awesome nature and became jealous of the honor that belongs solely to the almighty God the Angelic choirs that once praised the Creator now echoed with notes of self-love and adoration Satan loved himself more than he loved God Lucifer's wisdom once a beacon of divine illumination dimmed as he pondered these forbidden thoughts the very essence of his being began to flicker with ambition Lucifer the anointed cherub yearned for more than his appointed station he desired to ascend to claimed the throne that
only the almighty could occupy and so Pride coiled around his heart it whispered Promises of sovereignty of a realm where he would reign supreme Lucifer's Wings once spread wide in worship now bore the weight of rebellion he gathered a legion of like-minded angels their hearts AFF flame with the same forbidden desire the celestial Rebellion erupted a cosmic Tempest That Shook the very foundations of Heaven Lucifer now Satan LED his Insurrection against the Creator the Heavenly courts witnessed The Clash of celestial swords the thunderous cries of angels torn between loyalty and Rebellion but the almighty's Justice
prevailed and the rebellious host was cast down a Celestial Fall From Grace there was a cosmic Angelic war that burst out Lucifer was leading a rebellion against the Creator and ruler of the universe The Book of Revelation captures this scene in the 12th chapter CH of the book where we see the Archangel Michael and His companion Angels fighting against a dragon and his angels this dragon is merely a depiction or a manifestation of Lucifer Satan in the form of the Dragon was not strong enough to overcome Heaven's host of armies and he and his followers
were banned out from Heaven the dragon Fell From Grace and Satan started operating on Earth Lucifer became Satan and his follower Angels became fall and Angels this is a reminder that Pride the deadliest of sins can corrupt even the purest Souls Lucifer's fall serves as a warning for us reflecting the Peril of excessive self-importance it teaches us that no being however exalted is immune to the Allure of Pride so when we gaze upon the stars and wonder at their Brilliance let us also remember the Fallen cherub whose Pride dimmed his Celestial light for in Lucifer's
story we find both warning and hope a testament to the delicate balance between reverence and [Music] Rebellion what was God doing during this Cosmic Angelic war god the all powerful Creator watched over everything as a Great Rebellion unfolded in the heavens remember God was not panicking Psalm 2:4 says that the Lord sits on his throne and laughs God was on his throne laughing as the enemy conspired against him laughing is the highest form of spiritual warfare why because you you are expressing your Victory and laughing from your heavenly seed just like God remember it says
in Ephesians 2:6 that you are seated with Christ in Heavenly places you are seated with God you can laugh on your seat just like God laughs on his seat the Angels fought their wings blazing with Rebellion while God looked on with unwavering compassion in heaven where time moves differently God's presence was like a bright light shining even brighter than the sun his throne strong and steady was unfaltering during the commotion in that moment God was ruling and reigning over the universe as he had always been his throne was still at the center of everything however
God wasn't just in one place he was everywhere encompassing everything at once this is called his omnipresence God is everywhere all the time all at once when Lucifer once a respected Angel rebelled God felt compassion it is important to remember that God is a god of emotions he feels and thinks and in the moment of Satan's turning God must have felt a great sense of grief at the rebellion of one of his Most Precious Angels the Rebellion caused chaos the whole universe was probably shaking with Dread but even then God still loved his creation nothing
could interrupt his love for creation even though it seemed like everything was falling apart in that moment God allowed the angels to choose what to do some stayed loyal but others followed Lucifer it was like a war in the heavens this speaks volumes on the character of God He will always give his created beings the choice to love him the fact is that without Choice there can be no love God's silence during this conflict did however confuse the Angels some must have thought that he had abandoned them but others surely kept believing in his fairness
God's silence wasn't because he didn't care it was like a blank canvas waiting for Destiny to be painted this perspective on what God was doing gives us a sense of security in the fact that God knows what he is doing even the eventual destination of Satan and his angels testified to the love and pity God has for them after the Rebellion God showed Mercy instead of destroying the Fallen Angels he sent them away a kind of cosmic Exile even though they rebelled there was still hope God's plan unfolded over time leading to the birth of
Jesus Christ the lord Jesus was of course there during Lucifer's rebellion in every part of it the fights the chaos and the sadness his silence reminded everyone that love means having choices even when those choices lead to trouble God's decision to Exile Satan rather than executing him immediately raises many theological questions and asks us to examine more closely God's Divine Justice and mercy Exile allows for the possibility of redemption or transformation extending God's mercy even to Fallen beings however Satan's continued existence also fuels the cosmic struggle between good and evil serving as a test for
Humanity's faithfulness another important thing to note is that the concept of Satan's Exile also acknowledges his Free Will and accountability for his actions which in turn test human choices what does this mean for human free will not only that but the existence of evil and the role of Satan raised significant challenges for Christians the ongoing struggle between good and evil with Satan as a central figure is a complex theological issue that has been debated for centuries within religious and philosophical circles in addition to its theological implications the idea of blaming Satan for misconduct has been
a common practice in religious circles throughout history by externalizing guilt and attributing wrongdoing to Satan individuals may seek to absolve themselves of personal responsibility overall the emergence of Satan as a personal figure with malevolent intentions towards Humanity represents a complex mixture of theological cultural and historical factors it raises profound questions about the nature of Good and Evil Divine Justice and mercy and the relationship between God humanity and the cosmic forces at work in the universe in conclusion the fall of Satan stands as a multifaceted and enigmatic event in Christian theology that has captivated the minds
of theologians and Believers alike for centuries it serves as a symbol of the Rebellion that occurred among a group of angels against the power and Rule of God however it's important to know that Jesus has defeated Satan through his cross and that the only Power Satan can have in your life is the power that you give to him by believing the LIE Jesus said in the Gospel of John that knowing the truth will set you free so if knowing the truth will make you free then what will believing a lie make you it will make
you bound at its core the fall of Satan represents the rebellion and pride that can corrupt even the most exalted beings Lucifer once a radiant and esteemed cherub in the Heavenly courts crumbled to the temptation of Pride and ambition Desiring to claim sovereignty for himself his Rebellion against God led to a cosmic war in the heavens despite the chaos and conflict that ensued from Lucifer's Rebellion God remains Sovereign and merciful his decision to Exile Satan rather than immediately executing him reflects his Divine Justice and mercy offering the possibility of redemption even to Fallen beings even
more than that the ongoing conflict between good and evil with Satan at its Center serves as a continual test of Humanity's faithfulness and a reminder of the constant struggle between righteousness and sin it challenges Believers to remain steadfast in their Devotion to God and to resist the Temptations of Pride and Rebellion the fall of looser also has practical implications for believers in their understanding of spiritual warfare and the nature of evil in the world it reminds Christians of the reality of spiritual forces at work and the importance of relying on God's strength and protection in
the face of Temptation and adversity in summary the fall of Lucifer is a rich and complex theological concept that continues to Intrigue and Inspire Believers and Scholars alike its significance extends Beyond a mere historical event inviting reflection on the nature of Good and Evil the sovereignty of God and the eternal struggle between righteousness and sin as we grapple with these profound questions they are reminded of the importance of humility faithfulness and Trust in God's Providence if this video has blessed you in any way then be sure to like share your thoughts in the comments section
