He failed. He failed his role as the head and protector of Eve. He allowed her to initiate.

He allowed her to engage. He allowed her to lead him. He didn't step in, stop the serpent, correct the situation, take control, and protect Eve.

He failed as a husband. Yes, he was there. Watch.
