the course of history in motion she asked her husband Abram to sleep with Hagar so that they could have a child through her Hagar became pregnant but this only made things worse Sarai grew jealous and treated Hagar so harshly that she ran away Into the Wilderness it was there in the middle of nowhere that an angel of the Lord appeared to Hagar with a message this was no ordinary message it was a prophecy that would define not only Hagar's life but also the lives of her descendants and millions of people throughout history the angel told
