Recently I got a comment where someone told me that I come from a privileged entitled generation that I should be grateful that I have a job this person also suggested that I get a "Reality check" great idea let's do that. So 20 years from now the only people who will ever remember that you worked overtime are your kids the reason that we all live in a Wade slave Society is because we are programmed since birth to believe the lies it's not just the workplace it's everything from our parents to our teachers who Force these lies
into our subconscious instead we should have been programmed to be critical thinkers now today I'm going to share with you the Seven Lives of wage slavery for these last couple of months I've been making these movies on the topic of wage slavery and the response has been unbelievable I truly felt that I was alone thinking the way that I did thinking that maybe something is very wrong with the world but your comments have really made me feel like I'm not alone so thank you but every once in a while I get these comments from people
who defend wage slavery and most of the time it's actually not that bad it's quite civil and we have interesting conversations in the comment section it's not all rude just because people don't agree with me so I have this memory from a school field trip we were visiting some dairy farm you know where cows get milked and I was I think about 10 years old or so and the person who was guiding us explained that they take really good care of the cows because if a cow feels good it will actually produce more milk and
for some reason that always stuck with me you know every company I've worked at I've noticed the this emphasis on companies and managers trying to convince me and my co-workers that they care about our well-being this part of the whole company line you know we are family Etc it's just a lie you know they have no problem firing people they have no problem allowing people to overwork themselves and just like with the cows if the workers are happy they are more productive the truth is companies only care about one thing to make profit that's it
they would never prioritize your well-being over profit so this lie I think it's quite awful because I've met so many people who have overworked themselves or sacrificed quality time with their families and all just because the company convinced them of that lie it's a lie that keeps people working extra hard you know just never forget that if companies truly cared about your well-being they would not force you to work 8 hours hours or more hours they would give you freedom to pick your own hours oh and by the way for those of you who think
that can't be done I've actually worked in one place that allowed that and it actually worked so the second lie is that they say that the customer pays your salary I've heard this lie so many times mostly from managers at workplaces and they often sort of bring this up at staff meetings reminding us where workers that we have to do our best for the customer because it is the customer who pays our salary and this is just a straight up lie if customers truly paid our salaries trust me we would earn a lot more you
have to remember that the company pays our salary and a company always earns more from our efforts and it's quite easy to prove it actually does your salary increase when the company performs better that month no of course not unless you're working on commission your salary is based on a contract where you trade time for money and not the outcome of your work and also as a proponent of passive income I can tell you that if you work on something that generates income for the company for many years you only get paid once and this
is why I don't trust companies okay now the third lie is kind of interesting some people have criticized my video saying that society would fall if people stopped working someone has to make sure that the water is running that the roads are paved Etc however this is just a lack of perspective imagine conversations K people had you know someone suggested that they should go outside and build a home and plumbing and the other cave and would say no no no no we have everything we need in here we have a cave and we have the
lake nearby so my point is that today we see the latest state of human society but this is not the final State just imagine what the future could look like imagine something like Star Trek where people don't use money they work for a purpose of some kind to explore things they believe in common altruistic goals not to be confused with Communism we've tried that it didn't work but I believe that the next step of human society is that more people go into freelance you know they start their oneman businesses and they offer their services to
others having more control over income and time I have zero doubt that this is the future we can reach that until we do I will say that we live in a wage slave Society where people struggle every day page check to paycheck and I'm showed up people thousands and thousands of years from now in in the future will look at our time and they will look at us as slaves no different than the slaves that built the Pyramid yeah I I just had to put that in there I know a lot of people will say
oh the slaves didn't build the pyramids trust me they did the pursuit of constant productivity can actually lead to burnouts and neglect our personal well-being we should instead strive to explore the benefits of a work life balance and the potential for more sustainable fulfilling life beyond Relentless grind okay the more you work the more valuable you are so I have this friend who used to brag about how he worked 80h hour weeks how he had to work on Christmas how he had to sacrifice his vacation for work and he was actually quite proud of this
but then he grew older and he realized that he was actually being used there is this weird belief that the more work we do the more valuable we are which is why a lot of people work overtime which is why a lot of people will prioritize work over mental health and I believe that we are born to explore happiness and creativity and somewhere along the line we just sort of lost it we become grumpy and exhausted workhorses now your value as a human being has nothing to do with how how much or how hard you
work you work to pay the bills that's it now if you're passionate about your work that's great but there is more to life than work I'm talking about love family friendship personal development putting work on a pedestal is like the worst mistake you can ever make I've met a lot of people in my life and I can promise you this there's no correlation between happiness and success none I have met poor people that are happy and I've met super successful people who are unhappy and that's why I often ask the question do you live to
work or do you work to live it's an important question now let's talk about job security my experience working for the past 25 years has shown me that there's no such thing as job security and even if it did exist is not the same as Financial Security I'm not talking about all the times I was fired I'm talking about my experiences as a consultant seeing people and entire departments being let go and I have also met a lot of people who make a ton of money and yet are in financial depth no job is certain
unless you have tenure at some University you can always lose your job and even if you don't you can be terrible at handling your finances true Financial security comes from diversifying income streams and cultivating financial literacy now is lie about job security is quite terrible because it makes people think that they are safe and they don't bother being financially smart and this is the lie that keeps people stuck in the rat race and it's why most co-workers I've had you know they criticize their jobs endlessly about how little they're getting paid or how little they
are getting noticed instead of focusing on creating their own Financial Security okay so number six making more money is always better so one thing that's always bothered me about salaries is that on some subconscious level you allow them to put a price tag on you how much you are worth but the salary it doesn't reflect your true value and potential potential because workplaces don't pay you fairly and you can't really scale your salary and now as a consultant I often get offered a job where I work and I have always turned them down sometimes I've
been offered a lot of money and people go absolutely crazy when they hear this because they just can't believe that someone would actually turn down more money and that's the problem you know just the fact that people are afraid afid to leave money on the table is the reason why I do it to me the paycheck is to pay the bills and when they increase it or offer to pay you more it's just the carrot to keep you trapped and I've never allowed myself to fall for it instead you know I work on my side
hustles I I create passive income streams and I out earn anything they've ever offered me and of course not everything is about the money you know most people will agree with that it's about how you feel about your work but in the end most people will take the job with the biggest paycheck and I just think that's really sad so the seventh and final wage slave lie is that hard work always leads to success and it's never actually spoken out loud but it's encouraged all the same has been programmed into us since we started school
if you study hard you will get good grades and this Theory it sounds logical right well in reality it's just not true the belief that hard work guarantees success it's not just an oversimplification it's actually one of the biggest wage slave lies ever my experience has been that the people who work the hardest are the people who get the most exploited period people who work hard tend to compete with each other while smart people practice what I like to call quiet quitting but I've actually made a different video on that topic the reality is that
you are either so good at your job that the company would be crazy to promote you because you are already doing such a great job where you are and if your hard work actually leads to promotion it often comes with the price of more responsibility and even more hard work most managers I've had in my career never turn off their work phone they are always available and they even check their emails when they are on vacation because they're such responsible people right personally I turn my phone off the moment I leave the office the workplace
has no power over my private life so in dismantling these seven lies of wage slaver I will just want to encourage you to question societal norms and redefine success on your own terms you have to prioritize you and you alone in the end you have to ask yourself the question is your goal in life is your purpose in life to make companies richer if the answer is no figure out what that is and pave the way for a future where work serves you rather than enslaving you as always thank you for listening do me a
favor and tap that like button to share your support and subscribe if you're interested in more content like this until next time stay hungry Relentless and strong in your journey of escaping wage slavery bye oh you're still here oh that's right it's it's the behind the scenes Vlog now forgive me but this is like completely unscripted this is a little thing I do for my subscribers where I share more personal things today I really just wanted to talk about how I'm doing uh things have been changing a lot in my life I lost my dad
last year and regardless of that you know I'm still working every single day like I made this video um just after work today and I'm tired it's not just a physical thing you know it's it's a mental thing like I'm just super tired in my head it's amazing that I could film this video like the rest of the evening I'm just going to sit on the couch and just relax watch a Netflix or something that's all the energy I have you know this channel making these videos it does give me a lot of Hope and
so I'm grateful for that I'm grateful for all the response I've been getting recently I don't want to sound like a PR Madonna but it's really been making me feel good these last couple of months now I would like to provide with a little bit of advice when it comes to making yourself feel better when you are in despair because work is just making us very tired we need something to help us you know feel better something to give us more energy and one thing that I would recommend and I never thought I would say
this is exercise you know I I've been against exercise in a sense uh for a couple of years now uh purely out of just being lazy I suppose but ever since I started working out last year I actually made a video about this while I started working out in my 40s I got to tell you every time I exercise in the evening I get such an energy boost from it it's not just making me physically better but it's also like mentally making me feel more positive you know maybe maybe it's something about releasing endorphines or
something like that I'm this is not definitely not my area of expertise I don't really know how it works I just know that exercise does make you feel better it's weird it's really weird but if you're not exercising if you're tired from weight slavery give it a go seriously oh and speaking of what to exercise I think you should really just try whatever works for you some people like to run I hate running I like to lift weights and I don't like to do all exercises I picked up certain exercise routines that just work for
me like I enjoy doing it you know it feels good uh yeah I do obviously train my biceps as a pretty male thing to do but yeah I do do that anyway that's all I had for today thank you for listening and see you in the next one take care bye
