once upon a time in a town four people died at the same time each of them was from different backgrounds and held different beliefs one was the king of the Kingdom another a wealthy Merchant the third a devoted priest and the last one was a poor laborer by coincidence they all passed away at same time after their death they all arrived at the court of of the god of death in their afterlife in the court the god of death sat on a grand Throne at the front to one side there was the Gate of Hell
from which fire and wave of heartwind was coming on the other side there was the Gate of Heaven which was beautiful and radiant with Divine Light and cool breezes beside the god of death stood his assistant who was was examining the life books of all four of them the four of them began to discuss about their deeds and sins wondering who would go to heaven and who would go to hell the king who was very confident boasted about his generosity and good governance and said I will surely go to heaven he declared I have performed
a number of charitable acts donated generously and ruled with with fairness my people always Lov me the wealthy Merchant also said with confidence I have also done many Good Deeds donated food and money to poor I will also go to heaven the priest also said with confidence I am not sure about you but I have conducted countless rituals and worship CAU I have guided others on the path of righteousness I deserve my place in the heaven then they turned to the poor laborer who was sitting quietly with a mischievous smile on their face they asked
him what good deeds he had done to deserve Heaven the laborer humbly admitted I have no significant Deeds to my name I only worked hard to feed my family and cared for my elderly parents hearing this all three of them started laughing and mocking him after some time their turn came to be judged the assistant of the god of death first called The King and asked him about his deeds the king said proudly I have given food to thousand of people donated gold coins too poor and Rule justly no one was unhappy in My Kingdom
the assistant looked into the book of The King's life and said King you have done many Good Deeds but you also fought number of Wars invaded many kingdoms out of greed and cause the death of thousands of innocent people and soldiers your sins outweigh your good deeds you cannot go to heaven you deserve hell listening to this the king's face fell in disappointment and he stepped back next the assistant called The Wealthy Merchant to explain his deeds the merchant stepped forward and recounted his charitable acts and said I gave food to the poor donated money
to poor and temples I have done many Good Deeds the assistant looked in the Merchant's Life Book and said you have done many Good Deeds but you also exploited the poor with high interest loans kept them in debt forever you mixed impurities in the food products you sold which made many people ill your sins outweigh your good deeds you cannot go to heaven the Merchant's face faded with disappointment and he stepped back then the assistant called the priest to explain his deeds the priest came forward and started explaining his merits he said I conducted many
secr rituals worship God in in my whole life and guided many people on the rightous path I performed many sacred ceremonies the assistant of the god of death said priest you did many Good Deeds but your actions were driven by Greed for money you preached righteousness but did not practice it yourself you are selfish and hypocritical you too cannot enter Heaven listening to this the priest face fell with disappointment and he stepped back finally the Poor Labor Stone came the assistant asked him about his date the laborer said humbly I have not done anything significant
in my whole life I was a poor laborer who worked hard to feed my family and care for my elderly parents I never had enough money to donate to others saying this he started moving back the assistant looked in his life book and said wait a minute do you remember once you haded a stray dog the lapr recalled the incident and said yes sir I have a faint memory of it one evening after a long day of work I had very little food left for my family after feeding my family when I was about to
eat my only piece of bread a hungry stray do came and sat in front of me I gave him the piece of bread I had and went to sleep on an empty stomach the assistant closed his book looked at the laborer with Grace and said my friend your selfless Act of feeding a hungry dog with the only piece of bread you had for yourself has oned you great Merit Additionally you worked hard and used righteous means to provide for your family and serve your elderly parents these Deeds have accumulated enormous Merit in your life all
these actions are more than enough to Grant you entry into heaven hearing this the Laborer's eye widened in Surprise and tears started to flow in his eyes soon after the Gate of Heaven opened and the poor laborer got entry into the Heaven and the other three kept watching in astonishment if we see in our lives we will realize that it does not matter whether we have wealth or fame or not what truly matters is if you are earning through righteous methods working hard feeding Ing and caring for your family and serving your elderly parents then
you are accumulating enough merits to secure your future by helping those in need whether they are human or animals we earn merits that bring happiness and satisfaction both in this life and in the next The King The Merchant and the priest despite their many Good Deeds what d by self-interest and pride their actions were tainted by selfish motives and sins that overshadowed their virtues on the other hand the poor laborers simple Act of feeding a hungry dog done with pure compassion overweighed all his life struggles true righteousness is found in small and selfless acts of
kindness these acts have the power to cleanse us off our sins and lead us to True fulfillment both in this life and the afterlife [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music]
