let's dive straight in the story of coutura is introduced in Genesis which states Abraham took another wife whose name was coutura she bore him zimran jokshan Madan Midian ishak and shua but the book of jubilees actually Dives deeper into who coutura was in jubilees 19 it states and after the death of Sarah Abraham took another wife namely coutura from among his servants for Hagar had died before Sarah and she bore him six Sons zimran jokshan Maiden Midian ishak and shua the book of jubilees also lets us know that just like Hagar coutura was part of

Abraham's extended household and possibly someone who served Sarah further tying her into the family narrative the book States in jubilees 19 Abraham took to him himself a third wife and her name was coutura from among the daughters of his household servants while the Bible does not specify curra's appearance or tribe we can infer how she may have looked based on evidence within the Bible itself in Genesis 12 Abraham and Sarah traveled to Egypt due to a famine in Canaan during their time there Pharaoh took Sarah into his house believing she was Abraham's sister when Pharaoh

discovered the truth he returned Sarah and gave Abraham great wealth including servants Genesis 12 states that Pharaoh gave men orders concerning him and they sent him away with his wife and all that he had this passage suggests that Abraham left Egypt not only with livestock and riches but also with servants given that Egypt was a prominent and Powerful Kingdom at the time it is plausible that some of these servants could have been Egyptian and we know from ancient depictions in Egyptian that Egyptians were typically portrayed with dark skin therefore it is likely that coutura would

have had features consistent with the people of ancient Egypt such as dark skin dark hair and brown eyes another example of Abraham acquiring an Egyptian servant is Hagar who was explicitly identified as being Egyptian she was given to Abraham by Sarah to Bear a child leading to the birth of Ishmael the Bible States now Sarai Abram's wife had borne him no children she had a female Egyptian servant whose name was Hagar and Sarai said to Abram behold now the Lord has prevented me from bearing children go into my servant it may be that I shall
