ask you to hit the like button share your theories in the comments subscribe to the channel and share this video so that more people can join us on this intriguing Journey get ready because what I'm about to reveal might change the way you see this story The Mystery of the wives on Noah's Ark Noah's story is known worldwide thanks to the holy scriptures even those unfamiliar with the story of the great flood of the world are likely aware of the great flood narrative found in various Nations and mythologies however in this video I won't be
talking about the flood waters or the world's destruction in Noah's flood instead I'll focus on a story that's seldom discussed on YouTube and rarely mentioned by most people the women on board Noah's Ark who were these women we know of their existence because the sacred texts state that Shem ham and japheth Noah's Three Sons were married to three women and that Noah the father of Shem ham and japheth was also married in other words there were women on board the Ark in addition to Noah and his sons there is a great mystery surrounding the identity
of these women as the Book of Genesis does not mention their names only confirming their existence in this video I will use Ancient Traditions the book of jubilees and Jewish Traditions to illustrate and delve deeper into this topic which is rarely explored on the internet we know that the wives aboard Noah's Ark were part of the family that survived the great flood in the biblical Narrative of the Book of Genesis these wives include Noah's wife and the wives of each of his sons shem's wife Ham's wife and japheth's wife in the Holy scriptures the only
information we find is the following in Genesis chap 6:8 God says to Noah but I will establish my Covenant with you and you shall enter the ark you your sons your wife meaning Noah's wife and your sons wives with you this indicates that Noah's sons were married in the Catholic Cannon for instance the Book of Tobit which was likely written around 225 bcee does not mention the names of any of the wives aboard Noah's Ark however it does suggest that Noah's wife was a relative probably from the lineage of Seth Adam's son there are speculations
and theories suggesting that the wives of Noah's sons might not have been from Seth's lineage in fact it's difficult to determine with certainty whether they were from Seth's lineage or from Cain's lineage there is considerable debate among Scholars and religious thinkers about whether they were descendants of Seth or Cain in the New Testament 1 Peter 3:20 indirect ly references the women on the Ark by affirming that there were eight people aboard Noah's Ark turning to other ancient writings and texts such as the Dead Sea Scrolls which were discovered in The Kuman caves and are an
invaluable Source we find texts like the Genesis apocryphon also known as the little Genesis that expand on traditional biblical narratives these manuscripts not only mention the wives of Noah's sons but also provide additional details about their lives and roles in preserving pre flood traditions for instance the Genesis apocryphon suggests that these women were responsible for passing down the teachings and religious practices from Before the Flood ensuring that the new Humanity retained its Connection to the Past the Genesis apocryphon also referred to as the book of jubilees tells us that Noah's wife was named mzar curiously
this is one of the earliest texts to mention the name of Noah's wife for those un familiar this text dated between the 3rd and 2nd centuries BCE is considered canonical by some communities such as the Ethiopian Jews and the Ethiopian Orthodox Church in the book of jubilees the wives are named and given significant importance in the narrative the text preserves an ancient version of Genesis maintained by the as Community who authored the Dead Sea Scrolls it is likely that M Zara Noah's wife lived roughly the same length of life as he did Noah lived up
to 950 years and it is assumed that his wife lived at least 900 years she was essentially The Matriarch the eve of the postf flood world that Noah and his sons inhabited other ancient Jewish Traditions suggest that Noah's wife might have been named Nama while some prefer the name imara however Amara is the oldest version found in the Dead Sea Scrolls rabbinic traditions expressed in texts like the midrash and the talmud also provide valuable insights although these rabbinic texts do not always Focus directly on the wives of Noah and his sons they explore the lineages
and origins of the peoples descending from Shem ham and japheth some interpretations suggest that the wives might have played specific roles in the formation of the Nations that emerged After the flood for example Nama mentioned in some rabbinic traditions as Noah's wife is described as a figure of great Beauty and virtue associated with The Rebirth of life after the destruction continuing with the wives of Shem ham and japheth let's start with shem's wife according to the book of jubilees she was named sbab and is said to have given rise to the Semitic Nations these women
whose identities and personal stories remain largely mysterious were responsible for reconstituting human families as the first matriarchs of the new Humanity they had to Ure the continuity of their respective lineages laying the foundations for new tribes and Nations each of them bore the weight of cultural and social regeneration adapting to a completely transformed reality said kbab would have been the mother of the Semitic peoples meaning Arabs syrians and Jews would all be descendants of this woman who was the wife of Shem it is highly likely that sbab enjoyed an extremely long life being a pre
flood woman who survived the great flood she probably reached an age similar to her husband Shem approximately 600 years now regarding Ham's wife according to the book of jubilees her name was Nel Tamal Nel tamok likely lived to around 600 years enjoying a long lifespan even for those living after the flood she was the ancestor of several African nations such as the Ethiopians and the sudin among other African populations present in the world today naok is said to have been the mother of kush misraim put and Kanan All Sons of ham the ancient Christian writer
hippitus dating from 235 ad recounts A peculiar Legend from Christian Traditions about Ham's wife according to this Legend God had instructed Noah to destroy the first person who announced the beginning of the flood at that moment Ham's wife was baking bread when suddenly water rushed out of the oven destroying the bread realizing this nmach shouted that the flood was beginning God then immediately rescinded his previous command for Noah to destroy his own daughter-in-law allowing her to be saved finally regarding japheth's wife according to the book of jubilees her name was Adonis one of the most
well-known apocryphal Traditions is the book of jasher or saer hayasa an apocryphal Chronicle that provides an expanded Narrative of the Book of Genesis in this text the wives of Noah's sons are mentioned along with some details about their Origins and contributions during and after the flood for instance japheth's wife is also referred to as Adat Tanis a figure who according to the text played an important role in organizing the postf flood Society although the book of jasher is considered apocryphal it is often cited in discussions about biblical stories offering an alternative and complimentary perspective interestingly
adanes likely lived to around 600 years old just like the wives of Shem and ham as jaffi's wife she was the mother of gome mog Mada Javan tubal mesek and tias all Indo-European peoples are said to be descendants of adanes including the ancient Greeks Romans Kelts Germans slaves and likely some Asian peoples in the new world they had to reinvent and Preserve ve ancestral Traditions customs and knowledge that had survived the flood the oral transmission of Stories the practice of rituals and the recreation of a shared culture were tasks that probably fell to these matriarchs
they needed to teach future Generations not only how to survive but how to live according to the norms and values passed down from pre flood times these challenges highlight that the women aboard Noah's Ark were much more than mere companions to the men they played critical roles in rebuilding the world shaping the future of humanity and ensuring the continuity of life on Earth reflecting on these challenges allows us to appreciate the depth and complexity of these female figures in the flood narrative this exploration also invites us to consider forgotten narratives and the importance of giving
voice to those who have been relegated to the margins of History over the centuries the wives of Noah Shem ham and jafeth remind us that even in the most well-known stories there are always new angles to discover new questions to ask and new meanings to uncover I hope this video has sparked your curiosity to look beyond the text and explore the deeper layers of these ancient stories may we continue to seek question and learn recognizing the fundamental role that all figures including those less mentioned play in the grand Narrative of humanity thank you for watching
