and this is the personal brand keynote and below that video as well there's going to be a full thesis uh this will be over 100 page personal brand thesis so literally everything you need to know on how to build your personal brand and monetize it warning though it is super in-depth no fluff and super boring all right step number one build an intentional personal brand so you are creating content to reach your target audience to convert into customers that is the purpose of a personal brand listen I know maybe for some people their intention is
to become famous for me personally I don't really care about that waste of time for me exactly I think building an in intentional personal brand is really about what are you trying to accomplish which I said if your intention is to become famous that you know go for it like you you at least you know what you want okay whereas for 99% of people watching they are trying to build a personal brand so that way they can have the biggest competitive advantage that I think really exists right now uh which is basically being able to
attract rather than Chase and I'll talk about some of the benefits of a personal brand in just a second but this is really like 10 10 years ago 20 years ago 50 years ago competive advantages weren't accessible and the thing is I know there going to be a lot of people watching this and I have to and I guess we have to give advice that is no matter what industry you're in no matter what career you're in I like to think what is the competitive advantage that I can build to make sure that no matter
what I do whatever industry in whatever career I'm in whatever business I have I have the upper hand and to me that's what building a personal brand does and honestly if you build a personal brand today the truth is you'll probably get more money from your boss you know you'll be more valuable generally if you can bring business to any company I don't care what position you're in but a personal B can be valuable to you I think make sure purpose is in this cycle that will help you I'm sure we're going to touch on
that a little bit later but I would like to Del on purpose make sure you're doing this for a reason not just to make money although money is a perfectly good reason to get going for sure let's get into it so what is an intentional personal brand I have great news for you there is no right or no wrong answer listen if you want to have millions and millions and millions of subscribers that's cool if you want to have 5,000 subscribers or 5,000 uh connections on LinkedIn or or Twitter followers I know it's X but
I'll always keep calling it Twitter if that is what you want because you want to have something super Niche to sell your product your service whatever it is uh that's correct once again it's really just like the beautiful thing is you get to pick you get to decide so whatever outcome you want a personal brand can morph and it can shape in order to do that here is where I decided to be intentional I was this is actually my YouTube growth chart uh 2016 actually boxing day so 25th 26th of December M 2015 was my
first ever uh upload and from here basically from here until here as you can tell my writing isn't the best uh from 2016 until 2018 all I did was document that's all I did I was building my business my first ever business was was my agency it was very different back then it wasn't like I'm going to build a business like I didn't even think I was a business owner I was just like I'm offering services to businesses and they pay me for it like I didn't think I was a business owner in no way
shaped form of fashion probably the first time I thought I was a buiness business owner was 2017 when I hired my first employee and then after 3 days he quit oh no um why listen I was 17 years old uh I don't think I had the ability or the skill set to lead uh obviously I was very young um the business was going great we were getting clients uh and because we were getting clients I needed to bring on someone to help with the service delivery uh but yeah it's well in fact you convince anyone
to join you not at that AG well done three days was sounds like a good few days so this whole period was documentation then from here until here that was pretty much okay you know what let me Niche down and here was all me just sharing what was working in my agency once again the cool thing about me is it's been 9 years almost 10 years now I've uploaded I guess technically cuz I start in 2015 yeah this is now my 10th year on YouTube so I've documented the whole thing how come he didn't give
up because this is not big numbers was a th000 subscribers 2,000 sub so here maybe here was back at this point maybe 50,000 okay yeah or 80,000 100,000 uh but still I mean 4 years to get to 50,000 why didn't you give up uh well here to here and I think this is what's really important as well is I just had no expectations like I just for me people ask me you know why did you start your personal Banner why did you start sharing your journey now in 2025 it's a very different landscape now it's
like cool to be an entrepreneur cool to read books cool to meditate cool to lock in do monk mode like when I started in 2015 or what really I guess 2014 trying to like start a side hustle uh read a book A Week do all these things like it was not cool no you should be partying should be out why you not living life right no exactly it it wasn't glamorized back then the way it is now so for me I was a bit of an outcast because of it so I didn't have the ability
to have friends in my school so because of that uh I was like you know what let me just I have some online friends so I just started sharing my journey to be honest um and that was really what that period was and then here funny enough actually right here uh at the end of uh 2021 I was in Switzerland with my business partner at one of my software companies called Floy and we were skiing and uh we had just launched right here and things were going super well in the company or no actually sorry
we were just about to launch uh and I was about to go off social media I was about to delete all my social media plat uh profiles everything like that businesses were going well cuz it is hard to do sometimes if you separate your business from social media doing social media with your business isn't connected to it corre can be really tough it's two two parts of the brain even cor and that is where he would basic Pier was like that is absolutely no way that is happening uh we are not raising tens of millions
of dollars in order to acquire customers you will acquire customers for us you leaked your business to the social media and that was the first time I was really intentional I was like oh wow okay like he's right like I should be using my social media to truly get customers now I I I kind of started uh here in 2019 or I guess somewhere around here I started where I actually launched a digital product and we're going to get onto that later in terms of monetization methods uh but once again this was just very it
was it was once again it wasn't intentional this was me starting to be intentional and then look at the difference when you're intentional the rest is history but once again as I told you there is no right or wrong answer for me this graph represented great growth in my businesses and me being intentional and achieving the outcomes that I wanted to achieve for you I could give you this right now and it would be your worst nightmare it would literally be a living hell for you because you would have no way to actually monetize the
whole new audience and it would just it would be out of alignment for what you want your life to look like I don't think Fame just for the sake of fame or or being wellknown for the sake of being wellknown is anything aspirational that's just me personally you know no judgments to those that Aspire for that so yeah once again no right or wrong answer you get to pick and that's really what being intentional is it's an inspiring story though I think people don't realize how long your journey is people that know you they just
think you're famous they don't understand how long like a decade of perfecting the craft also from here to here you perfected the craft correct that's the other element right actually practice practice practice practice and uh yeah sitting next to you you know you're pretty good at this now I can I can tell so yeah that's cool so why is building a personal brand important a personal brand these days it's just it's it's jet fuel okay so wherever you want to get to whatever outcomes you want to achieve and I'll talk about that in just a
second because it's not just money money isn't just one factor of what a person band has been able to do for me as well as a bunch of other people it's it accomplishes many many goals but really especially if you're trying to Bo bootstrap anything I think that's the big thing as well if you've received a $50 million in funding in VC funding a personal brand really isn't that important okay but if you're trying to bootstrap your businesses a personal brand is the best it's basically like the great equalizer okay it basically means that now
you can actually compete against all these industries where you would need VC funding so uh yeah hopefully that kind of depicts things yeah I I I can test to this too like I'm building a TCH platform as well help bank.com and I haven't had to raise any money for it because I am the marketing machine for it so and that makes a big difference you can you can retain Equity to give to the team instead incentivize people in a different way yeah so I think this is really important I also think that personal brand opens
up more doors so I don't know about you but like these days I can DM anybody that they're probably replying um I did I did DM Obama he hasn't reply you but you know generally speaking you know like you you can you get access because people see that you put in the work and the reach and so that's valuable to people right throughout this presentation I'm just going to L some examples cuz it's all fine and well me saying these things but let me actually give you some examples in multiple different Industries and multiple different
vertical so there is a clothing company called odd Muse uh uk- based clothing company uh and the founder she started basically I think it was about three years ago two three years ago she started creating content and she's been able to scale that up to 20 million a year okay so this is cuz a lot of people think oh personal brand I can I build a person brand and then I can only sell one kind of thing it doesn't matter what you do software uh e-commerce uh physical product businesses DTC doesn't matter what you do
literally anything if you sell houses building a personal brand can uh really is just the jet fuel for whatever uh forever for wherever you want to go and I said it's just this beautiful thing where you no longer have to chase you attract and uh you know she's a testament only 172,000 followers I know for some people that might seem like a crazy number trust me hitting those kind of numbers especially just on one platform is is very doable and yeah I mean she would have in another life she probably would have had to take
five or $10 million in funding and instead you know she was able to bootstrap it do it all herself and scale to a $20 million a year uh physical product brand um basically just from Tik Tok the odd thing is the truth is maybe you don't want to build a personal brand but people are talking about you anyway so at least control the narrative right we'll get on to okay I don't want to okay I should keep that's a very good point yeah and I think I think out of interest is this your by no
sure free advertising but I love it I love it and I think case studies are really important for people to understand how this can work she doesn't even have a massive following so it's yeah I'm again I'm sure we're going to talk about that a bit later so okay who's this guy that is me really and what happened man what happened I know I know too many Bright Lights of YouTube what Happened ultimate money glitch what's this Mone my personal brand is basically my most valuable asset it's worth more than all my investments combined because
I know that no matter what list I could lose my I could lose my uh property portfolio I could lose my stock portfolio I could lose whatever sell all my bonds everything but if I have my personal brand it's fine cuz I can rebuild it all back so for me it truly is and I think that's other thing I want to make clear whatever you're doing right now if you have an agency if you have if you're a real estate agent if you're a personal trainer if you have a a physical product brand because I
have businesses in multiple different verticals if you have a software company I'm going to give examples for all this stuff whatever it is that you are doing don't change what you're doing right unless there's there's one specific example when you know you want to clean slay and we'll get on to that in step four and five but the point is that this sits above the business models this is this is a competive Advantage basically right this is the asset that you can have and also if you look back historically you know the billionaires who are
70 80 90 years old they all made their money through Capital right uh it's Nal Ravon who talks about this concept uh it's Capital code and content leveraging these things yeah and and you know these are three forms of Leverage so you looked at at the 60 70 80 uh year old billionaires or sorry 70 8090 it's all through Capital right you look at Warren Buffett Ray doio these sort of people these are money people right they're in the business of money then if you look at the next phase of billionaires you know the 40
50 60y olds they made their money through code you know Elon Musk PayPal uh if you look at obviously Zuckerberg uh Sergey bin these individuals they all made their money through software code but where are things going now the next generation of billionaires it's all done content okay and building a personal brand and having basically your you are your own media team and we'll get on to the point that you mentioned you have a personal brand already whether you like it or not and we'll get on to that but that is basically the next wave
and that is now the next generation of billionaires are going to come from those who decide to use content as the ultimate form of Leverage and the best part is capital it's not it's not a Level Playing Field right it it's not available to everyone even code it's not available to everyone like I have software companies but I don't I'm not very good at coding right so I had to hire I had to have technical co-founder all my software companies and we spend a lot a lot of money on developers so that's not a Level
Playing Field whereas content you grab your phone right there and that's that's the best part especially with the way the market is right now at least the timeing this people want raw authentic people want iPhone videos they want a a peak into your life and they like that authenticity so now all of a sudden every single person watching this can actually use this form of Leverage can this Advantage like I could sit here and say yeah you know uh if you have $5 million in capital that's a competitive Advantage it's like but yeah obviously like
sure but is that does that help you no it doesn't help you whereas content is the first form of Leverage ever that is accessible to anyone so well you you you can spend $5 million once doing a marketing campaign then you have to spend $5 million again doing a marketing campaign whereas if you have a platform with the Right audience which I'm sure we're going to get on to too getting the Right audience but like actually people don't understand the concept of Leverage m I think I just to to take a step back for a
second Leverage is probably the biggest single thing you could learn on how to make money and the original Leverage is you hire someone right that's the original labor leverage the second level of Leverage is finance so you can borrow money other people's money to do things the modern Aid leverage that everyone's got access to is social media the reach leverage and the reach Leverage is going to change everything if you do it right cuz it has changed everything for me and I think people don't quite understand it so I'm sure we're going to get into
it but unlimited money glitch what's this is the Bas this the basic I'm saying the person clever way of putting like this is how you basically leverage your yeah it's the only compartive Advantage as I said that and as you mentioned that's actually available to everyone and so it's a beautiful thing yeah Okay cool so as I was saying really it's a one investment that keeps appreciating opening doors I didn't even know existed and I think you kind of mentioned that in creating opportunities that money alone could never buy so it's a beautiful environment to
be in but ironically money can buy you reach because you have to invest in it right I mean how much money did you invest in I can't even add it up at this point listen unlimited amount but I think a lot of it is also people's uh belief in your purpose hence I still think purpose needs to be inserted because my cost to build I think will be lower than some others because the people who are building it with me believe in the purpose of what we're doing so they're willing to do it for Less
because they believe in the end result just maybe when people s so just a couple of benefits first of all negative cost of acquisition uh discounted Equity investment so in the last four weeks I bought four software companies well three confirmed one work 0% way there every single business I get discounted Equity because to be honest when you have a personal brand now bear in mind also these are businesses in like if I go to like a large restaurant chain then probably not going to give me discounted Equity right because it doesn't have too much
to relate to my personal brand but if it's something that makes sense in my ecosystem uh discount Equity is is a major major um benefit and discounted Equity or a lot of times even what's known as Sweat Equity I'm sure you you probably have Sweat Equity and a bunch of different am where you're just advisory role um a big benefit and then business of multi-billionaires uh obviously you know I won't name any names I think in 2025 I'm going to be a little bit more open uh to be honest the past three years I've just
been focused on making content for beginners and I feel like I kind of fulfilled my purpose there I mean even this for maybe a lot of people watching us they probably don't realize like I talk like this mhm because I don't I don't show the s i don't show the side of myself on YouTube that by the way well the first time I ever met you that's what kind of struck me cuz I watched your content and then I met you and I'm like frankly you're far more sophisticated with all du respect your video sometimes
portrayed like I my mind was blown when I met you last time about how much you know about business like the intricate details of how it all works and you are still young I mean I think it's kind of it blew my mind I I when I sat with you after I said to my team afterwards I feel like I've been doing business 35 years I felt like you knew more than me that's honestly when I left so and when you watch your videos that's not necessarily but you've deliberately done that if you want needs
to be accessible and that's something for people to learn by the way when you first start out really think about who your Market is right you got to really know well I'm sure we're going to get on to that in a minut okay so I mean what it's allowed for me in my life is over $100 million in career earnings and that is not including the valuation of my companies this like take home cash you 100 million too in the last well I guess it must be in The Last 5 Years is right yeah the
main bulk of it is in the last years right correct 100 million that's that's not bad it's decent I would say you know above average it's it's decent um and I guess once again that's just the beauty of being intentional about it and obviously that's not including the valuation of my companies I don't the valuation of your companies is very up in the air and and that's the truth of it listen you people can make a case honestly someone can make a case that you're worth a billion you're worth 50 million I have this chat
all the time this net worth thing people don't understand it you Google me my net worth is 400 million well that's both crazy I'm not worth that or it could be worth that depending on what happens to any one of my companies any given day correct but yeah I I think this valuation thing so the one you living in Dubai by the way that's that that will save you some money correct right and uh you know what mention on there is that I've been able to do it in many different verticals you know a personal
brand basically guarantees that every business I touch turns to gold now I want to make something clear I've had businesses in mine for example one I mentioned where it didn't go as as well as I would have liked it but it's this like for example that business I invested a million pounds into just to get off the ground uh it's physical product brand so you know it's one of those where it's like you know the piece in your heart when you know that you can put a million into a business and like it may not
be end up being a $500 million company but you know that no matter what you're not going to lose money like that's a different kind of piece and and it allows you to move into Ventures and opportunities with just a different level of confidence to be honest this is big day correct by the way you're so humble he's not even promoting his own product big day he's basically built a brilant product I will put the link down below I'm going to do it for you uh it's not just a physical product it's a caffeine enriched
physical product right and and the other interesting thing the only thing I'll say I put a million pounds into a comic book business and I lost it all and the mistake I made was actually putting too much money into a company I'm sure you haven't made that mistake because you're building a product but I did a big fancy office I hired before we had Revenue so I made a mistake I put I now I I pretend most businesses I start have no money and I'm really Innovative how can we make this generate Revenue without losing
money because it's easy to throw money at stuff correct no it's a very fair point and I think listen I guess what you're talking about is a little bit more capex where it's like whether the business makes money or not like that you're spending that money either way for me pretty much I actually think going back that was a mistake that we did make and um obviously once again you know it's amazing to be able to have a lot of advisors that I can go to and learn okay I would do this I would do
that um so all that to say that uh we PR pretty much put that all into stock right well that's a good thing about stock you can sell it by the way I printed comic books and we gave them away as marketing I should have sold them that was anyway such but it's a really good point and I think I think investing in whatever you're doing I I always tell people basically have a Runway so invest what you can to get you to a certain like Milestone so when you put that million in was it
to make a certain amount of product and sell a certain amount of product prove there was a market for it right I mean the thing is when you know how large your personal brand is I just knew no matter what like for example that business obviously is still doing very well in relative terms it's just I guess I'm very tough on myself it's not doing as well as I would have liked it to it's not like a home run yet uh so yeah is it profitable oh yeah for sure that's that's sometimes I think people
don't celebrate what I call the zero game which is you get your business to zero where you're covering all your costs especially if it's your salary included or some sort of income like that's a win I think people don't make that a benchmark enough CU if you get it to zero you can grow it you're not burning money and you know you can copy paste repeat yes but here's the issue you start to there's a lot of it has to do with margins right like let's say for example um one of a business that does
very well is my iear company you know that makes and that's once again that was all personal uh personal brand fueled it makes a couple million a year in pure profit uh and the unit economics are there for us to scale through paid right because the margins in iare it's every it doesn't matter if you're we're talking jacqu Mari maage $1,500 eyewear we're talking Rayband if we're talking Adida any any company they have 80 to 90% gross margins in I that's just normal that's standard so that gives you the ability to actually spend to acquire
customers outside of your personal brand that's really interesting we'll get inside so anyways back on the personal brand topic uh I hate to break it to you you actually mentioned this I hate to break it to you but everyone has a personal brand okay I have one Simon has one and you also have one okay the question is does yours negatively affect you or does it help you the truth of the matter is you really think your employer you really think let's say you want to join a member's Club you really think let's say you
walk into Rolex you want to buy a Rolex you think they're not looking up your social media come on your 300 Instagram followers is your personal brand you have a personal brand whether you like it or not it's just are you going to be intentional about it no I'm not saying don't grow it to millions of followers that's so that that only makes sense in such specific cases for specific people like myself and Simon where it fits into Our intention that we set for it but yeah grow it to 5,000 10,000 and make sure that
it's actually serving you rather than working against you I remember the first time I told you my mission my mission is to Fe the education system and you told me for years you used to have pinned on your Twitter I want to fix the education system yeah Instagram my bio was I'm on a mission to reform the education system yeah so 2017 but you're right it's uh if you've got to realize that if you even if you don't want to build a personal brand um it's happening so at least even if you got 2,000 followers
and you got your image out there cuz social to me media to me is brand image even if you've got no posts make sure it's set up to explain who you are and what you're doing it's just done not to do it otherwise you're not set in the conversation of who you are other people are deciding who you are well listen you know they say you picked a big funny old L they say follow the money okay Money Talks well billionaires have understood this and we're going to break this down in in the next few
slides but Ray doio Elon Musk Donald Trump Mark Zuckerberg they are all focused on their personal Brands and I'll show you exactly how does thises get our YouTube channel cancelled any one of these names I don't know I think these days enough we need to mention the people at YouTube so but Mark Z's completely transformed this is this is very look at this picture this is before Marx bird had a makeover yeah no I mean these days listen he's riding his wake board behind his bow drinking a beer with American flag you do you think
that that was just a random post you think he's doing these things randomly he is listen 10 years ago what you would have done is you know you would have gone to New York Times and this and like for example all these billionaires wanted to own all of these Legacy Media platforms now they just know that okay I can just be my own media company so yeah even the billionaires were doing this Mark Zuckerberg originally built Facebook so he could have more friends that was his whole thing so yeah he's uh he's worked on it
as I said Money Talks so let's take a look at what some of the wealthiest people are doing Ray doio I don't know if you've ever had this but I get you know I get this comment sometimes from people they're like if you have so much money why are you making content on social media it's like okay well why is Ray Dalo who's worth4 billion 14 billion why is he making content on YouTube he has the most my vssl has done you know pretty decent his has 61 million views you know we we we couldn't
quite crack 10 he has 61 and what that has done you know him leveraging his personal brand he was on the best seller list for his book principles for I think it was like countless weeks countless weeks okay and he's still repurposing posting content on YouTube because he understands once you make a certain amount of money you want influence and I'm sure as you as you mentioned before it's quite interesting you said I have all these billionaires and you know I've experienced the same same thing I have all these billionaires that are like asking like
how do I build my personal brand it's like they have money but money doesn't buy you influence it's not or it's not guaranteed so now once you have money they want influence there's 3,200 billionaires in the world that's it and how many do you actually know cuz actually irony is for a lot of billionaires and Ray Delio you know is an exception they can't be bothered right but they make but they also lose uh they can't become president it's just that simple like you got influence you can be become president now and so yeah uh
he looks a bit [ __ ] though doesn't he he does he looks like he's he could probably have a rest mate know take it a little bit easy this is also an outdate picture of Elon Musk cuz he looks more tired than that they look we have Elon Musk wealthiest man in the world and he acquired Twitter I know it's X whenever I will forever call it Twitter he acquired Twitter now it's funny because a lot of people are like free speech Free Speech Free Speech everyone's allowed their own opinion I don't think it's
cuz he cares about Free Speech me personally I think it's cuz he wants to buy influence listen if you're worth $424 billion and he bought her for what was I think 44 billion billion now worth 20 a pound but who knows this is not being sold well 44 but also like for him to lose 20 billion until you he doesn't care you can't do anything with that amount of money but so so it's like okay if he goes down from let's say 420 billion to 400 billion do you think he cares no but do you
think he cares about the influence I mean even just look at what happened at the latest presidential elections he is spending money to buy influence he he is focusing on his personal Brin yeah that's that's so true did you see the text between him and it's literally if you build influence at the level that elon's built it what people don't understand is it's not even elon's money he's got 424 billion he's not even having to use his own money he literally just texts his millionaire and billionaire Friends and says how much would you put some
money into X this is the text for do you want to put some money in text he's like sure how much it's like a couple of billion he's like no problem mental easy just you don't even even he's leveraging other people's money leveraging other people like the three leverages I mentioned earlier leveraging influence and and you this day and age going forward if you don't have influence you will not have a seat at the table talking a seat at the table speaking of actually made a typo there I should have put Trump uh he will
hate you he he'll he'll block this this is not 6.1 billion he said five years ago it was 10 billion but personal brand by the way is hard to measure a value correct that was Trump's argument for why he's worth more than this right yeah correct no for sure it's once again these net worth figures are all very Loosey Goosey uh but Donald Trump he won the presidential elections using his personal R he went on huge podcasts such as The Joe Rogan Experience and I guess listen The Joe Rogan Experience is f enough you've got
the president or about at that point was about to be well actually at that point he already was at some point the president or once was the president of the United States you got the president ex-president doing a live stream with a 20-some year old streamer like do you think he wants to do that no he just knows that like they have influence and these people now are the the market makers anyone with influence is a market roet maker well they ran an experiment really um without getting into politics but the the one party went
the traditional media rout CNN and all the traditional media and Donald Trump and his team went New Media influencers like Joe Rogan who won the presidential election well that's funny you mentioned that well there you go sorry I didn't see these guys in advance there we go there we go media appearances so basically exactly what you said you know uh and I guess even even on Legacy TV he still understood that uh there is there is still some influence in Legacy TV so you know over twice the amount of appearances on Legacy TV but you
know the interesting ones for me here is podcast seven rather than two and even XM yeah the other thing I think you know personal brand wise is just probably a tip You can disagree with me if you think this is not true but Donald Trump is hate him or love him he's authentic Cala Harris there was a whole thing about Joe Rogan asking her to come on without any handlers and she wouldn't do it she wanted it all scripted Donald Trump's like yeah I'll just come on it's fine I think being authentic is really important
correct yeah but yeah that's up to you if you don't want to be but so I know I just talked about a bunch of billionaires now I want to talk about some of my good friends who have implemented this because once again I want to show you that you can do this in many different Industries we have one of my good friends George heeden has built a represent I'm sure you know fair amount of audience will know represent they do well over 100 million a year in Revenue but what most people don't know is that
four or five years ago I mean this is in his own words you can look at some of his podcast he said this like really about like 5 years ago they didn't they didn't have a brand they were starting to lose their brand IDE identity they were actually really struggling they were in a really tough spot and he you know during the lockdown period he started creating founder-led content like the odd Muse founder he started creating founder-led content and started to really build his tribe and and start to build represent really through his personal brand
and I mean they have just become this absolute Behemoth you know it's a company now worth hundreds of millions of dollars um he's a great guy super super humble like just you know shout out to George I know some people are thinking okay how do could this relate to me in uh DDC uh if I have a DTC company how can this relate to me in software how could this relate to me in you know whatever industry you're in and I'm telling you right now whatever industry you're in unless you're doing something illegal building a
personal brand will be in your advantage and another example right here uh gong you know another good friend of mine he built a company called lless get super super humble individual his company is worth I hope he doesn't mind me saying this because he he always tries to downplay what it's worth but you know it's worth you know hundreds of millions of dollars and once again all bootstrapped what he did was uh he had an agency and and then he went into software uh and once again he had to bootstrap the whole thing and he
couldn't spend he couldn't spend $600 to acquire a customer knowing that you know in month eight he'll be Break Even uh and he'll see that turnover in Revenue so he knew okay I have to bootstrap it I have to make sure my cost of acquisition is is zero basically uh and he built a Micro Niche personal brand on LinkedIn initially and then branched out from there and once again these two individuals like you know now I guess now they have a couple hundred thousand followers or audience on socials but these two individuals they can walk
down the street no one's stopping them no one's pestering them no you know these aren't super famous individuals they're just respected in their industry they have a niche personal brand and that's all you should have really I think yeah that that Niche Point here again I want make sure people understand both these individuals on here have not gone big on social media they've gone focused on social media they've gone after the target audience to help their particular business so you know when Iman and I sitting here you build a personal brand yes we've got tens
of millions of followers we're not saying necessarily do that and these are examples of people that were smart enough to realize that's not necessarily a good idea they're smarter than em and I perhaps you know they realize that hey I don't want to be famous but I do want a successful business and so they went Niche no it may seem like these people are on a different level but you don't need to be like them to make just as much money oh my god I've got some great news guys thanks to you and your support
of this Channel and what we do this book just became the number one book on the Sunday Times bestseller list number one because you bought it and you supported our mission to fund people's dreams and help people do what they love you can now go review it on Amazon if you enjoyed the book go review it the Link's down below it will make a hell of a difference thank you so much for supporting what we're doing let's get back to the video so step number two uh create a micr personal brand and you can see
right here Mass Appeal no value whereas what you really want is a micr personal brand high value speaking to directly to the sort of audience that you want be attracting so it all starts with self-awareness now I have a question for you Simon is there anyone that has the same parents as you no okay except my brothers okay okay well he hits that that point does anyone has anyone had the same life experiences as you definitely not okay there you go has anyone made the exact same choices as not as far as I know although
I'm sure I've got an identical twin somewhere but no okay well I have good news for you then that means that you are one of one okay so there's something that only you can bring to the table and no one else can in fact if you follow follow the instructions of this video as well as the keynote you know the extra free training I'll be leaving below uh you basically turned this to the most valuable asset that you've ever owned and I guess the the point that I'm trying to get here is a lot of
people are like oh but why would someone watch me or I'm not unique it's like no you are unique you know you are unique because no one else has had the same life experience that you've had and I'm going to I know you guys are like probably at this point like okay amazing I get it personal brand but like how do I do this tactically or like what are the steps here and a lot of you guys are saying like oh but I'm not an expert or I'm not this and I I'll show you how
to actually create content even if you're not an expert and you shouldn't pretend to be right like if you go look if you go look back at my videos from 2015 2016 2017 I'm just like authentically sharing my experience uh like the highs the lows the good the bad you know my employee leaving me after a few days you know I have videos of me where I'm like yeah I lost 40 50% of my agency retainers because I spent a little bit too much time enjoying my success and you know taking my eye off the
ball so yeah all that to say that you are you know you're one of one there has never been there isn't right now and there never will be another you okay now that doesn't mean necessarily that that that equates to Value I'm not saying that like you know you're some special Snowflake and you know everyone should worship the ground that you walk on but what I'm saying is that there's something you can bring to the table that no one else can if you know how to harness it in the right way especially around the experiences
side like if you've had pain leverage it you know if you know something others don't that's where the value can be created so the biggest misconception about personal branding is you need millions of followers to succeed and I think we've done a good job at dispelling that okay audience quality is much more important than audience size your follower account doesn't not matter what matters is how much each follower is worth to you okay and Worth to your business M so why micr personal Brands matter micr personal Brands Micro Niche personal Brands is what you should
be focusing on higher engagement than larger generic brands easier to monetize through Niche audience and it builds a stronger relationship with a loyal following and the thing I'll add like I I know a billionaire in England won't name them they bought followers and every time they did a post they had near zero engagement but they had a million followers they had to delete that account because they made they made an expensive uh lesson that you can't buy relationships ironically then people think they can you can't money doesn't buy everything so yeah micro is more important
than having a big F Well one way to basically gauge that is your Revenue profile as I said here I'm trying to help help you out with your business and one of the ways to gauge that as I said is the average revenue you generate per follower from offers services or Partnerships so whatever way you monetize for example if you have a th000 followers and you generate 10,000 in business well then your RPF is $10 per follower so basically the formula here is a total revenue type on my end I should have put divided a
total revenue divided by total followers and that basically gives you Revenue per follower and so how but how would you if you new to this and you've got a following how would you know the value well you can't right because so you have to sell them something to find out correct yeah the main reason I'm trying to say this is because I think the worst thing that can happen is your audience keeps growing but it doesn't align with your goals like I don't want if you could give me 20 million extra followers or audience or
whatever tomorrow but it doesn't these aren't my people the people that I want to attract I I would say No in fact it would be an actual bad thing for me uh so I just think that's where you need to think about um okay if you're trying to generate business um and you're trying to generate not even followers cuz that's the thing you're trying generate potential customers potential leads for your business that's how you got to think about it um now bear in mind I practice what I preach I'm living this to this day so
this probably most people aren't aware I actually have a business Channel I started a couple months back and here you know I don't really show my business side to myself I just subcribe I subscribed to this by the way good I'm glad uh and here I basically make videos speaking to business owners who I basically just say listen if you're making less than 250,000 a year in your business just please don't watch it because it is genely true I will confuse you more than I'll help you because the advice in your early stages is very
different to advice when you're already making millions of dollars a year and usually that's the main demographic uh that I'm speaking to by the way a really clever marketing technique is telling people who shouldn't be your customers that really in my book I've got the opening bit in my book is basically that it's like if you don't want to change your life my whole opening in the book is if you're happy with your life please just don't read this book don't buy it cuz this is going to change your life if you read it and
you might not be happy with that if you're happy with your life right now don't read it I think it's such a powerful technique by the way and also allows you to have the right sort of views and the right sort of subscribers yeah I mean listen we have for example I even say so this channel is built because I need to speak basically Flex a little bit more of my business knowledge and actually talk a little bit more about what goes on behind the scenes because you know uh opposite to I guess common belief
I'm not just a YouTuber right um so because of that uh we buildt this channel where I can speak a little bit I don't care about the algorithm I don't want this I don't want this channel to pop off that's actually one of my worst fears um so yeah as I said like actually please don't subscribe if you you you know you're not existing business owner but here uh one of our offers is called Eight figure license so we basically there's like 4050 backend systems like I'll give you one of them like um our uh
short form Department like we we get 300 million views a month on our own short form accounts and these aren't like some you know Affiliates or anything like these are like people who work full-time for me there's a daily Department like a daily meeting there's a a full Department like everything so for example I know a lot of people want that and been asking that for years so that's like one of like 50 Sops we talk about like uh how to reduce turn because obviously I have a few different software companies and I have a
mobile app called digital Launchpad which is basically like a e-learning mobile app you it's on the App Store it's all just inapp subscriptions uh so we've just learned a lot of stuff over the way anyways reason I say this is because at the end of it I specifically State don't work we don't work with uh Forex or trading businesses uh we don't work with uh webcam only fans businesses we don't work with which will bleep out um and we we don't work with people making uh less than 250,000 a year you you have to prove
that you're making at least 250,000 a year uh and lastly we don't work with people that we don't believe we can help set boundaries on what matters to you it's another important thing around personal brand right like you got to know what you like and what you don't like what you want to be associated with or not yeah I think that's that's that's cool but if we hit up those leads I'm not joking if we hit up those leads by within 72 hours I would have an extra million dollars on my bank account how did
you learn this though you mean this just through experience over the last 10 years I guess I think it's through experience I think also people want like if you're going for a very specific audience like you want to call to once again the the thing is I've been very intentional like as you know the past 2022 2023 2024 on purpose I've been dumbing myself down like because I understand I wanted to basically I wanted to Corner the entire 18 to 25y Old Market I want and I feel like I you know somewhat accomplished that mission
um but now you know it's it's those 2y old I lot of those 18y olds are now 30 as well so these can also be correct You' helped them get started now they want to help to grow correct and listen I'm still I still upload on my main YouTube channel uh but we also have for example a vlog Channel like I have many of my friends I know my friends as in like I'm talking like my friends like with businesses that are worth hundreds of millions of dollars they do not watch my main Channel and
I don't expect them to that's not what the demographic is there for but they watch every single one of my Vlogs because they're just like this is entertaining and I really enjoy this or for example now a lot of them watch my business Channel whereas there's something people who won't watch my business Channel because they're like okay well I don't need to know how to run a 100 person remote team uh uh yeah how to run a 100 person team remotely or I don't need to uh build out a full uh thumbnail rehash department where
we have three full-time people just on thumbnails and that's been like that for 3 years so like you know a lot of this stuff doesn't relate to them but the main channel does so that's why you know the reason I put this in here is to say that like you know someone would think oh he's crazy he's got 5 and a half million subscribers why is he creating a new channel and specifically trying to keep it small and just speak to a very small sub subsection of people because it's called being intentional I know what
I am trying to accomplish I know how to drive the businesses forward uh I said this a licensing business where unless you make 250,000 year we just don't accept you so uh yeah I said applying this in in real time by creating a smaller channel for a specific Niche topic love it ome well I want to give you some more examples we have Alexandra here now she started as a Fiverr freelancer with zero experience in farming okay okay however by documenting okay not saying she's an expert not nothing just simply documenting the process of buying
and developing Farmland she has attracted millions of views from a highly qualified audience despite not being an expert I love that also Fiverr is our sponsor so if you go down below is a link if you buy from us we make money and that means we can afford to make even more free content for you there we go uh or let me give you an even smaller Channel because I know some people might look there and go but 200,000 subscribers that's a lot honestly it's it's not we'll get out to that in a second but
here 11,000 subscribers we've got Nick he is an AI entrepreneur helping businesses Implement Ai and automate their operations he only has 11,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel his channel attracts highly qualified leads and he's building a thriving AI business around his micr personal brand I guarantee I don't know the numbers uh you know Nick if you're watching this I'm sure you can keep it in the description or or comment it if you feel comfortable but I can almost guarantee he's making at least half a million year potentially even touching a million year because the sort
of person the sort of business that wants to automate their business to drive Revenue save time and scale with AI agents the sort of people who are interested in AI agents it's like to automate processes your processes must be working well and also your processor must be stressed right and if your processor is stressed that means your business is probably growing so he's probably got you know a top tier audience that he's attracting and uh here's an example right what I also really love about this podcast today is we're promoting people that are doing cool
things I don't know Nick I didn't know Nick to you I've seen it's cont well done man well done you know you got IM man's attention you're doing something right congratulations as a busy entrepreneur I only make it when I get help 1 + 1 equal 11 you need to make sure you know where to go to get the help you need that's why when I need additional support I trust Freelancers on Fiverr to assist me with my projects Fiverr is a global Marketplace for digital freelance Services offering everything from web development and brand design

second authenticity listen being real is your unfair Advantage okay people connect with people not Perfection grow with your audience and it will strengthen your bone I think to be honest this is one of the reasons people have like it's very unique that you can literally look back at me in 2015 2016 2017 like if you want the thing is if people actually care to I've recorded my entire life every single thing I've done the highs the lows the and there's been a lot of them and I've tried to stay authentic throughout the whole thing I
think to be honest the the only thing I've struggled in the last couple years is as I said that whole um UNR relatability I mean luckily now I have the business channel so I can kind of like be a little bit more open and honest like I'm just gen felt so uncomfortable sharing the successes of the business because I'm like speaking to like me at 16 like me at 16 we be like okay that's so unreliable like can you plus the problems at this stage like sometimes for example I had this problem when I sold
my company I was moaning about now I have to manage money you're like be if you'd be listening to that like just Simon right and you probably unsubscribed right away so it's totally understandable as well yeah but there are a lot of people who've made 100 million you just need to talk to them more maybe business Chanel I know that's why I'm plugging it PL look at it uh intention listen your intention is everything so stop chasing V metrics such as likes or views views do not pay the bills and neither do follow us so
I think we've hammered that home well quite simply get rich and not famous you it's so much better just to be rich and not famous if you can help it but have I do genuinely think being famous has one Edge to it which is you can get people on board of your mission so I I only think being a famous works if you have a purpose of course it can also can mean more money but not necessarily but I think it being famous gives you leverage um elas has that additional leverage because he's famous right
you can get a billionaire to invest in these companies now let's talk about impact you see you do not need to be an expert you just need to be one step ahead of someone else and like I really want to hammer this point home you actually have a compet like it's funny that we we're just talking about unrelatedly you actually have a competitive advantage over me because I'm unrelatable okay the thing is like a lot of people won't want to listen to me because they're like okay cool but you're so many steps ahead like you're
at a level whatever hypothetically let you say level 50 okay and I'm at a level one I need advice on how to go from level one to level three so sometimes when you're too far ahead it just loses that so you actually have a competitive advantage over me because of it so um I have that with' age because you know I'm in my 40s and I'm 50 uh and and for a lot of people I love I love sitting with young entrepreneurs because a lot of people are like well you know's he's old it was
different then you know um and I think that you know if you're young you have an advantage even if it's your age alone frankly if you're old you have an advantage I I have an advantage as well but I think you got to leverage that advant whatever it is if you're 70 you can make Tik toks you'll probably go under Vantage because there's not many 70y olds making Tik toks so just going back to the whole thing of um being too many steps ahead it's actually quite interesting how many of the greatest football players became
great managers pretty much none right and my hypothesis to why this is you're going to get a lot of hate in the comments now around that one I'm sure there'll be some I'm not a football fan but I've got a feeling there are a few but going to be the best in the world you have mental models that don't apply to 99% of people so the way that you think to be the best football player in the world it's you can't really teach that to others because it's just you're at a different level where once
again it becomes unrelatable so uh I think yeah I said for me I just think that's a very interesting point I think Paul gascoin just got fired from his Club he was a very naturally talented player so maybe when he's managing people who expects everyone to be a very naturally talented player and it just doesn't work yeah 100% so a level one individual can easily relate to and learn from a level three individual but a level one individual will struggle to relate to and learn from a level 10 individual okay so once again that is
actually a big competitive advantage that you have when you're building your Niche personal brand is just sharing I am documenting sharing analyzing uh you know creating content from your unique perspective you don't need to say you're an expert you don't and in fact the best things in life are unsa right like even I don't think I didn't sit down and say yeah I'm a personal branding expert all I did was just give you my perspective my opinion now if you think I'm a personal brand expert cool but I didn't say it so you don't need
to go online and you know when you're creating content say you're an expert or anything no you just either docu I we'll get into different formats of what you can do but document and also when you just share because remember you're one of one you're unique okay there never has been there isn't and there never will be another you which means you see the world in a way that no one else has because the collection of your experiences gives you a certain lens through which to view the world time man now let's talk about visibility
to build a qualified audience obviously you have to become visible to them your competitors are posting even if you're not consistent creators always win over sellent experts and that's listen that's like in an ideal world you are an expert and you're also visible but like me you may exactly exactly just like the gem to my right uh and that's listen that's the best that's the best example obviously you have figured out how to build and sell businesses but not only that you have also learned how to and by the way there's a skill you have
to learn you know how to actually grow your personal brand uh it's just heartbreaking to me times that there are all these silent experts that are to be honest getting lapped by people who understand everything I'm teaching here today M it is a real shame one of my original podcasts I started 5 years ago I I targeted people that have real knowledge but they're not famous and no one listened to the podcast cuz I wasn't that famous back then either In fairness maybe if I launched it today it be different I've still got all those
podcasts up it was original podcast called The Good Luck Club if you go listen to those people they are silent talented people but unfortunately in this way day and age and this goes back to why this video is important they are brilliant and they want to be heard but no one listens correct so let's talk about some ways to provide value uh number one documentation I mean you can see here this is a video from four years ago uh zero to millionaire at the age of 20 obviously it's so weird it's so crazy I have
literally recorded my entire life every step of the way for anyone who narcissist total narcissist exactly I just love the sound of my own voice yeah clearly is the truth of it myself to sound of your voice too yeah no they're they're probably they're going insane at this point um no but all that to say that uh documentation that is a way of providing value because a lot of people want and I if you feel compelled to feel free to go look back over my videos in fact I think I recently just uploaded a basically
like a 9-year summary it was like a 2 and a half hour video uh where I just summarize a lot of my journey so far and you can see that documentation process and once again going back to authenticity I wasn't sat there like you know some people say fake it till you make it I I'm there at 16 saying like yeah this food is you know this this healthy place it's 15 pounds I can't afford that right now which why I have to unfortunately eat a lot more fast food to because I was trying to
hit my calories there a lot more into my like bodybuilding training back then and I was documenting as I was like signing or sending out proposals and it was not working uh I was documenting as I hired my first employee and they left I was documenting as I lost agency clients I documented the whole thing as well as the highs and that is valuable to people because it gives people a realistic insight into like what it actually looks like so that's one form of providing value and next is opening their eyes Okay so a piece
of content that gives them New Perspective opens their eyes and then another form of providing content is education it said I've been documenting my journey since 2015 uh use your content to provide value to your audience give them a good reason to keep coming back now let's talk about 7-Eleven rule uh people need to watch and this you know they've been studies this people need to watch 7 hours of your content across 11 touch points and four platforms now bear in mind this is also for a this this research was done on faceless Brands as
in like not personality Le businesses so I don't think the four platforms is actually applicable uh but I would definitely say 7even hours and 11 touch points is very fair and this is why we're going to talk about pros and cons of different platforms this is why the seven hours if you imagine a Tik Tok let's say you only create content on Tik Tok it's really tough to get to the 7 hours which is once again I will talk about the pros and cons of different platforms but you you got to think about the fact
like it's watch time don't think just views think watch time how much watch time is someone having with me so I look at this as value you bring to the audience right if you if you achieve this value you have a connection this by the way is tribal CU we all still live in tribes so if you see someone a lot in your tribe you then have a bond with them so social media allows you to have that digital Bond because tribes don't exist anymore so the way people connect is through social media and by
the way I can Testament to this so my book hit number one on Amazon and we're in the top 100 books in the world at the moment by the time this video goes out who knows we might have dropped off the chart but we're in the top 100 books in the world if you look at the top 100 books in the world all of them had reviews except our book our book has zero reviews so how does a book with zero views get number one on Amazon because people have been consuming my content for years
and never asked them to buy anything and then they asked the viewer to buy my book and it hits number one on Amazon so and it's because of this this this law that you're sharing here so it's absolutely why quite simply people buy from those who they know like and Trust as you said the longer that someone spends watching your content the more likely they are to buy what you sell because obviously the reason they keep watching is because they know like and trust you yeah and that's why it's important to be authentic because you
won't be able to keep going build that up once correct so now let's talk about the magnetic Persona this is very very important okay do not try to be perfect show the highs and the lows every hero needs a flaw if a hero was just perfect you wouldn't you wouldn't for them Heroes need flaws and that's why even like I constantly try to talk about my flaws like even in that 2 and 1 half hour video at the beginning I said I said listen I'm not trying to say this in a cocky way whatsoever but
like some people hate me some people love me in the niest way possible I don't care because I'm just a human living a human experience I [ __ ] up I do well sometimes I do bad sometimes like I'm just a human at the end of the day right and every Hero has his flaws so uh you know just talking about a few different ways that you can actually uh uh implement this and provide value um obviously as I said you know creating content that provides value authenticity now this is a post I did in
the summer of 2021 at that point I was already a multi-millionaire and this was talking about uh basically the year before that I went through a very difficult point in my life of you know I had never experienced panic attacks depression like you know all that like I was just like oh come on just you know get up get your [ __ ] together well I experienced it okay and I went through it was about 3 to four months where constant daily panic attacks um I was in a really bad place mentally every single you
know it you know it's bad when you're not thinking do I kill myself you're thinking how and that was the place I was at it's not like that's when you know it's starting to get bad right cuz the the oh do I it's you know you're you're flirting with it when it's like how do I and now it's like okay it's it's it's you know things aren't in the best place and it it hit me like a ton of bricks you know some of it was to do with um an autoimmune condition I was going
through and that was a whole different story having to clear that but once again I authentically shared all that as I was living through it but the point is um you know I could say oh well I shouldn't show my flaws or you know everyone knows me as this even back then already a successful business owner uh dropped out of school at 17 had had all these accolades so you know I can't be posting me going through a tough time no you have to right because every hero needs his fls or every this is all
part of your hero's journey okay another big aspect of it is values now I make my values very clear I've been very outspoken on a lot of things uh you know especially if you guys remember what happened in 2020 I was extremely outspoken about all that stuff to my detriment but you know was it in 2020 for like you missed it uh lockdowns and oh right yeah okay the words we cannot mention on camera you know which which yeah a lot of that stuff is is coming to the four Nows is the truth so yeah
and I was I mean with listen within months and you know talking about like having your values um people don't know this but like my iare company we used to make a closed as well so obviously like anything I try to do I mean you even saw I I gave your team some some of the hats I have like whenever I feel like there's something in something that isn't out there in the market like I just wanted a non-branded so we have like a a black emboss on the side gadgy but apart from that it's
just a black velvet cap that's just what I wanted for myself so I just made it right and that's what I've been doing for years of my physical product Brands so you know this whole thing comes out and you know we're all told we have to wear masks so I'm like okay cool I'm might as well make my own right if I'm if I'm going to have to wear this thing let me make it the way I would want it and I spent listen it wasn't crazy amount of money from what I from my recollection
it was about 10,000 I spent on the stock obviously the value of that is about whatever 30 grain and I was right at the beginning uh when when lockdown started and then I did my own research and I said you know each I don't want to turn this into you know political or anything like that I came to the decision that I don't believe that this is in our best interest and I was very public about all my social media and all that stock I know it's not crazy amounts of money but still it's 30
grand you know 30 grand all given away you know I I did not feel comfortable selling it because I knew that that didn't Aline with my values I really love the values thing by the way I think this is something people don't spend enough time doing because by the way I know people that don't set their values clear with their partners and then they get married and they realize they got different values like literally just from a basic Ono one level let your values be clear right so I'm I'm probably not going to ever marry
a property developer I probably not I'm already married as well so it'll be doubly awkward but the point is that I think you know knowing your where you stand on things but the willingness to maybe have yourself be proved wrong right cuz sometimes I've said things that later on have been proved wrong I think that's absolutely fine but I don't think enough people do it and I think it's a really important lesson yeah listen for example like you know I think we're definitely on the same page with the property thing I have no issues with
property and by the way there's things that is once again is great advice if you have money but if you don't have money I just think it's very listen I don't like Risk basically I don't like Risk and I don't like people potentially going like wiping through 10 20 30 Grand in life savings like I like something where you could fail we speaking with people who are beginning I like something where people can fail for 3 months 6 months 9 months at 10 months and whatever maybe it cost them 300 bucks or 500 bucks from
99% of people that's not going to wipe them out okay whereas like if you have 20 grand and for example even listen I make millions and millions of dollars a year with my e-commerce my physical product businesses but the reason I don't like that for beginners is because I know quite well that apart from you can very easily burn through 2 Grand three grand 5 Grand 10 Grand 30 Grand in ads and not see a return you can also end up with stock you can't shift you know and you can end up in debt so
I think it's yeah I I I guess like this subject of values really really resonates with me and maybe we've gone on about it too much but you really have to flush out what your values are and be sure that you set them because if you if you cross that line you'll you'll regret it by the way you're about to talk about one of my favorite new creators I literally just interviewed him on my podcast as well Daniel Dal a great and this branding his branding is like I just love it and I think so
yeah talk about signature style yeah I mean obviously you know he came in and carved his own signature style and everyone has their signature style and by the way that can be many different cues whether that's the music you use the way that you dress like even me the way that I dress now in the past couple years has become cool but like 5 years ago it wasn't cool everyone wanted to wear like Balenciaga hoodies and Gucci blah the like I just decided to dress the way that was like authentic to me that was my
actual offline style even down to like the way that um obviously Daniel's done it incredibly well in terms of his thumbnails his color grading you know the certain shots that you just know comes from Daniel uh with us uh we have uh even like film photos like I started shooting I just got really into shooting on film like analog cameras like old school Leica cameras and stuff like that and that was about 5 years ago and then we incorporated that into our brand and that was I guess part of our signature style or another thing
we don't have it now but uh the uh blue and red lights in my videos like people just got very like they're like oh that's an email video let's bring that in I like that red lights but storytelling is also fascinating and this is a this is a really exciting part I think that people don't we're doing this with the dreamer videos by the way we tell people story these aren't famous people we just tell their backstory we tell what they're trying to achieve and people love these videos yeah and I think the other thing
is like if you think about a movie script what's the difference between like a movie script and the actual movie it's taking the factual things of what happened and storytelling making it come to life and that's a story telling is like we could sit here right or you could sit and do your videos and you're just like factually stay off what happens but no one's going to watch it you need to inject emotion right you need to in like part of inspiring is just like energy transfer and when people can tell okay energy transfer and
understanding how to take something that maybe even be mundane and turn it into something that's compelling so yeah I think that's you can mix these two I I think my video started doing quite well when I started telling my story about how my father died when I was 15 years old he died of a heart attack in front of me it's very horrific experience and then 3 weeks later my mom kicked me out of home and I was homeless and I found that story really hard to tell actually cuz it's I still feel the pain
even mentioning it now a little bit like but being you know being authentic alongside storytelling I think people then related hey Simon once had no money Simon once had nothing literally nothing in the street and I managed to become successful so it made me more relatable as opposed to when I first started doing condom I'm like I just sold my company I never need to work again the day in my life I want to teach you what I know people are like well man there's nothing there but so I think when you start being you
know matching these things up signature style providing value your values authenticity and storytelling bang There we go that's the key you it's right here and that's your magnetic Persona love it so let's talk about storytelling tell good stories my content always has some form of a story woven in okay just never he it's not just here's what to do once again going back to that a statement of a factual statement I don't just State the facts line by line because that's it's not interesting okay it's here's what I did why I did it and how
you can too you admire a character for trying more than their successes that's actually really important you admire a character for trying more than their successes and you'll watch people online and on content and on YouTube whatever it is because they're trying you actually don't even really you don't look like if someone sets a challenge for themselves whether that's a business or a business Channel a personal Channel a personal challenge I should say uh a Health Challenge whatever it may be and they don't achieve that you don't look down on that you admire them for
trying yeah we only think it's bad in our own minds if we're going to try something and we don't achieve it but the viewer doesn't feel that way that's the important thing to remember the human spirit makes us because it's kind of fear of failure basically people don't want to tell someone they're about to do something because they're scared if they tell people and they don't do it they're a failure but the person watching admires that person trying to do it like I'm trying to fix the education system I haven't done it yet so you
know am I a failure people are judging me like I've been 5 years doing this and I haven't actually fixed the education system so I'm a failure am I oh I think people understand and they're with you for the journey right they're rooting for the for the guy that probably can't fix the education system because they don't want me to it's not broken as far as the elite are concerned but know that's another conspiracy video for another so now let's talk about platform okay uh obviously listen there's many many more platforms that you can use
outside of this but you know some of the main ones uh in terms of video you got YouTube Instagram Tik Tok writing obviously LinkedIn I get it uh LinkedIn or Twitter I should say Twitter or X yeah um you've done the best marketing with twitterday I keep mentioning it's changed X you've helped them Rebrand today so just consider you know a few things you want to consider number one your strengths where your audience is and what I mean by that is like what going back to being intentional with your brand depending on what you're selling
which we'll get into in step four and five some of your audience probably doesn't hang out on X maybe some of your audience hangs out on X but they don't hang out on LinkedIn or vice versa or maybe some of your audience doesn't hang out on Tik Tok but they hang out on this platform so you just got to think about who am I trying to attract and where are they congregating uh also what format feels natural to you there are some people who are much better writers than they are on video there some people
who are better on video than they are writers you know I'm a high school dropout so you know writing was never my actually I'm I take that back I am decent at writing because I had to do a lot of it back when I had an agency in terms of AD scripts and vsls and funnels and all this stuff but it's not naturally what I gravitate towards okay so you made yourself better about it exactly just like anything uh you know you can learn these things uh intention time investment and and then from those different
variables you can pick basically what platform makes sense for you we've just been recently taking our Tik Tok videos and repurposing them on LinkedIn now the Tik Tok videos would normally never do well on LinkedIn but two things have changed one LinkedIn is now pushing video two we make the intro very different to the to the Tik Tok platform intro so we write it for the business Community to show what we're doing with a dreamer so you can take say a video but you just need to repurpose opposite I think that's something important when we
looking at the different formats right content types so what do people need to know about this so listen there're superficial which makes you known this a more you know reaches a wider demographic so here for example I made a video of how to be a top one% man and then there's in-depth stuff this stuff actually makes you money because it shows people okay he knows what he's talking about HEI I should say uh step-by-step guide to close Clans for SMA in 2024 I think that was repurposed I think I actually recorded that in 2022 or
something the point is you need both okay and it's this Con and dance you're going to have to do of like okay I do want to go slightly wider with my audience and still of course grow my audience I don't want to attct a completely irrelevant audience to whatever it is I'm you know I want my brand to be uh and then you also need to still create content that caters to um your core audience and I think you know going back to my multiple Channel thing which I don't recommend for anyone it's once again
it's very specific to me the reason I kind of segregate them to multiple different channels is I'm like I understand that at the end day one person won't like this channel but they like this channel just kind of give people a little bit of everything M makes sense so content categories uh acable here you show people how narrative you tell a story theoretical you teach people why and then ATT tractor you share the results so here's a few different C content categories that you can do you do all of these you know you pick one
for a while or how do you decide what to do I I think listen the more share results attracted like maybe when you're first starting out maybe this isn't as uh applicable to you uh once again maybe even narrative or tell a story maybe that's not as applicable to you when you're first starting out because less people are interested in your story or you want to uh interweave your story into more actionable and theoretical content okay so it just depends on what it is that you are building your personal brand for and once you get
intentional about it then you can decide which categories make the most sense for you makes sense so content ideation very important do not copy people from within your Niche look at people outside of your Niche now honest truth is there's no original ideas anymore there's no original ideas there's no original thumbnails there never was yeah exactly everything is like a like even with me sometimes I look back at ads from the 50s and 60s like newspaper ads just for headlines right so is that me like it would be bad if you only look within your
Niche and to be honest I think my personal brand really started to become interesting when I allow myself to have hobbies funny enough like once I allowed myself to have hobbies like for example like film photography I got really into film photography in 2019 2020 and I was able to tie that into my brain or I kind of 2019 2020 once again same thing with fashion I really started to you know enjoy fashion and dressing in a certain way and letting myself basically once I had hobbies in my life my more my personal brand became
more magnetic so whatever it is that you're doing you might think it's so mundane you might think it's so boring I give an example of let's say you're making videos whatever kind of videos and let's say you love coffee okay so a minute into every video you just say this is the type of coffee I'm drinking today it's from this place in the world uh this is what's unique about it and it's 20 seconds and let's say you're making videos about something so mundane like zapier Integrations just cuz you're making uh um automations videos doesn't
mean that you can't tie in your personality okay and I think that's why it's actually so interesting to have hobbies and interests outside of whatever it is that you are talking about with your personal brand and you can bring those all back and tie it in um so that's why you want to look at people outside your Niche definitely study you know extract Knowledge from is already out there what's working you know consider the niche the problem the solution for example let's say you are uh the niche is reading you know how to memorize what
you read and how to read three times faster you can then go out and look at what's working what's not working and uh there's a free tool called vid IQ you can see right here 8.9 X what this does it will show you outliers so a lot of people look at YouTube like I look at YouTube back from my like agency days I look at it like a like a ad platform like if you think about what an ad is it's basically a creative and then a headline right that's the way I view YouTube I'm
constantly studying YouTube and I'm like okay this video is an outlier okay you can see like this has uh for the average for my channel this has 8.9 basically nine times as many of my average and I think it the way it works out is it just takes all of your videos ever and just takes the average of of how many views you get and this is an outlier but I'm looking at in different niches as well I'm looking in different niches that have nothing to do with what it is that I post about I'm
looking at okay this video is an outlier why is it an outlier looking at the cre creative looking at the headline and just you know as soon enough you start to spot patterns and that will make your packaging so much better when it comes to actually creating content yeah I think again School teaches you not to copy stupid school like copying is how we innovate there was someone once developed something called fire we saw them do it and we thought that's a good idea I'm going to do it maybe better I'll put it in your
home and make it safe like Jesus Christ learn to copy it's it's nothing wrong with it that's how we all learn now let's talk about content planning you want to optimize for search traffing using what I call Minefield farming so that's kind what this means and by the way a lot of these terms mindfield farming problem farming as we get later on to as we get to this video I'll get a little bit more complex but like really that free like unlisted YouTube video like I go in-depth in that keynote because it said I wanted
to you know respect your um retention and not go too complicated with the stuff uh you want to map out your audience's problems using problem farming so mindfield uh uh farming and problem farming are two things that you can use and I'll get into that in a second what that is uh you want to use proven formats and you want to establish a Content day to batch uh create and save time so that way you're not constantly task switching you know part of the day you're creating content then you're doing this it's better just to
you know batch it all together and then schedule post for efficiency so this has everything to do with content planning and I'll break this down in the following slides this is so important because this this will save you a lot of time you think content is going to take over your life it will if you don't follow this correct mind fueld farming let me tell you what that means mindfield farming is all about optimizing for search traffic miles Beckler is a great example of this he's basically been using this technique for years his videos are
search traffic optimized despite only averaging 5 to 10,000 views per video he is never needed to go viral because he deliberately attracts only those who are searching for specific topics like Google Trends this way he keeps his audience smaller and more qualified and makes millions of dollars in the process he makes millions of dollars a year uh because once again he is just simply uh mindfield farming you know he's basically understanding that YouTube is the second largest uh um search platform in the world like people are constantly constantly searching for stuff and if you can
create content about the stuff that they're searching for and that would be one of the proven formats I talk about like step by-step uh videos it will always get traffic okay now uh when it comes to problem fing this is basically way to map out your audience's problems so I'll go back to that Farmland example problems include law and cash and a lack of understanding on how to actually acquire Farmland so you can basically take that knowledge that you know this is something that people struggle with and then you can find two different ways to
frame it okay so this problem oriented and solution oriented problem oriented a title would be or a concept for the video would be watch this if you don't know how to acquire Farmland solution oriented is how I'm buying Farmland with a no money down loan because you have already problem farmed you've already established and acknowledge that this is something that people have a problem with and if I can create content around that problem uh that I've gone ahead I've listed out uh you're going to do what ironic thing about this is people pay a lot
for this course amazing you're getting it for free proven formats now the truth is there are proven formats that will ensure your content performs these are based on proven principles and not hacks brand leveraging so brand leveraging is basically making videos about stuff that is going on at the moment so uh whether that be other individuals events going on this that now bear in mind there's a big difference between brand leveraging and creating hit pieces if you are you need to understand that if you're uploading content a lot of your Heroes will become your peers
at one point and if you came up in like a scummy way or you came up in a way trying to tear other people down that's not a good way to do things but you know uh this video is from a a guy I believe a guy called a more plates more dates he runs a 100 Mill like his business does over 100 million a year and it's just him sitting down with like this little you know crappy background it looks like he's in like some little basement dungeon he makes 100 million a year primarily
by using brand leveraging talking about things that are going on that are relevant and basically just giving his insight and his expertise on it uh next thing is Ultimate guides you know you don't need to make and this one thing I want to make very clear don't want this advice to become an echo chamber of people teaching other people like uh money related stuff or this that like whatever it is that you have an interest in you can build a micron Niche personal brand around that and monetize it for example 3D printing okay 3D printing
people are curious about 3D printing so this guy created the ultimate beginners guide and he is basically he's not creating traffic right he's not creating traffic out of thin air he understands there's going to be traffic around this topic and he's just channeling that traffic to his video M go be uh famously said um if you like Smurfs do a channel on Smurfs and it made smurfs have a comeback so yeah so content creation uh look at your interests experiences or expertise your content should start with one big idea power of three framework big idea
three main points three sub points and then a clear takeaway okay sometimes people and be mind I did this for years and years I put turn on the camera and just start talking about anything now you can do that right and even to this day I have videos where like I'm in the car and I'll do the 15-minute video that's off the cuff but you know I guess it's it's hard for me to get out of my mind now because I learned this power of three framework I'm still going to interlace this in somehow the
clear takeaway is really important as well like what what is the value because that will make people come back as well this is another technique to ensure people come back because if you don't give a clear takeaway and people don't understand the takeaway at the end of it they they won't come back correct uh next is gross topics you want to look at your videos with the longest watch time these are your growth topics so double down on them mine were millionaire habits and beginner friendly businesses and also the thing is this changes over time
there's a period where I was making a lot of videos on monk mode because that's what people enjoyed and like if a video does well don't think oh I can't upload more content about it that means that right now what's going on in the market is the market is interested so create multiple topics about it okay that's fine just because someone has watched one video doesn't mean they're not going to watch more videos about it especially if you can angle it or freame it a different way so growth topics there will be certain growth topics
that are unique to you in general I know that for me personally anytime I create any sort of self-development anything about starting an online business I know those are gross topics but there's also more macro trends of at the moment this is what the market is really interested in or what they're talking about so don't be afraid to use those again the world's a big place there's 8 billion people out there there's plenty of people that will haven't watched the videos you think are popular correct correct and the other thing you got remember is your
audience isn't watching all your videos exactly like you know you may have like 10,000 followers right your current followers haven't seen your video from 6 months ago or I haven't seen your piece of content for 6 months ago so feel free to basically rejig it frame in a different way and make it again that's fine and repeat stuff I mean I I I've got a platform called Help Bank I've mentioned it many times I'm still surprised how many people don't know about it I just assume I mentioned it in most of my videos but somehow
people don't know about it so you'll be surprised how much people don't know about your story you could tell your story twice it wouldn't matter the next day people would watch it different people be watching it so yeah very correct packaging packaging is all about how you present your content to the world you can have the best best video in the world but if your packaging sucks no one will see it and this is where you can see an example uh uh these two uh red dots right here we did a title and thumbnail change
and anytime I guess because it's since published and it's been many years it probably doesn't look as statistically significant but if you zoomed in on just here the extra lift up this little bump like that was a and what's interesting about that is your video was doing all right yeah you had a billion views on it and you decided to change the thumbnail oh we I have three people that work for me fulltime it's a whole Department that some duts you be like it's working why are you changing the thumbnail i' to been in the
room that day yeah well I mean listen there's many uh tools that you can use and basically what they do is they if you ever see any of my videos when they come out sometimes that and it'll be the same thing with Mr Beast and a bunch of other YouTubers who take this stuff very seriously uh they're constantly changing the thumbnails they're testing and seeing what CTR has the highest CTR it's all fine well me saying this let me show you an example of this this is a channel called veritasium so the original video strange
applications of the Magnus effect okay then they changed it to throwing basketball off of a dam and change the thumbnail same content different tile 9 more million views2 it's so simple now let's talk about uh retention okay to be honest as long as you get the first 30 seconds ripe of your video this is really where 80% of the drop off happens I mean you can see it right here this is that's how retention works as long as you can keep people hooked in for the first 30 seconds to 1 minute even 90 seconds usually
the drop off then is is very uh minimal throughout the rest of the videoos so for now all you really need to understand is that as long as you have strong hooks uh the rest will kind of all fall in place your hook uh should contain one of these a bold claim sparking some form of curiosity you know one of the best ways to do this is create an open loop where you bring up a topic but you don't finish it so they're like wait but like you you didn't close that Loop right and then
I mean you can also do this to El we've become kind of Masters at this we do this multiple times and in fact we'll we'll have multi video open Loops where like we'll open a loop in one video they only gets closed in the next one so yeah whatever this some more um advanced level stuff uh or value promise okay you know very simple clearcut this is what you're going to get in this it doesn't need to be a bow claim it doesn't need to spark your out it's just you have clicked on this video
for this outcome and this is what you will get mhm love that building authority this one's important it this is something you're really good at and I'm working on come on listen building authority is all about trust which you have a lot of with your audience okay and and there's a few ways you can actually build Authority there's a few ways you can build trust obviously creating content is going to help you with that it's going to make selling anything 10 times easier uh you have a problem you have a unique perspective and then you
come up with Solutions with that and that is the base of a lot of content you'll be making moving on engagement equals growth okay content is a conversation not monologue okay and sometimes you have to remember that this is a two-way convers you got to remember especially like when you're creating content like someone's watching this okay and the other thing is you also don't want to speak to try your best sometimes I even make this even to this day like try your best to not address a public try to address a person okay that's even
why like one of the things I do I always sign off and I just say um you know as always I'm washing from afar and I'm rooting for you and I know like people love when I say that because it's just like it's a reminder like I am in your corner and it it just makes a lot more personal a conversation uh content is a conversation orue use your content to drive engagement with questions polls lives q&as uh you know and even to they I still respond to comments myself yeah I do that too lot
of people think I think that's by the way it's a really great way of finding out whether you're bringing value to your audience like people that are saying bad things in the comments you should listen you know like is there something in that comment that's going to help you be better um and so people have been saying to me lately on this podcast stop interrupting the guests I'm doing a really good job in this episode I'm not doing that I listen to you you're right so let's talk about some common mistakes when creating content number
one stop trying to please everyone stop copying others take inspiration for sure who don't copy uh full-blown or if you're going to copy at least make with something in a different be this one could be a an interesting one to discuss but what we end correct uh stop overthinking your content stop chasing the metrics stop looking for instant results and stop waiting for the time a perfect time and most importantly do not try to be the next Eman gadgy and do not try to be the next sment squid right because there's only one of you
there's only one of me and there's only one of even some of the creators we mentioned here there's only one of them okay so you need to find your own personal brand you need to find your own style and once again platform to platform like for example this is some Instagram photos Instagram to be honest if you want value don't follow me on Instagram I mean my Instagram stories I post a little bit more stuff but like my photos is just me randomly I get bored you know I take a lot of flights per year
uh every you made a lot of people want a helicopter can I just say that that's that's what your Instagram does for me and a Rolls voice I really want to get one yeah it's really really good it would suit you yeah it would suit me it would suit me I've been in your R voice it did suit me you know yeah what do you prefer the mayack or the RO Volo the mayback is not bad though I'm not complaining picked me up a mayb today I'm not complain me but I did prefer that R
worse if I'm saying we'll get the Phantom ready for phantom for your return next time content success creating content is a long-term investment get started be consistent and stop looking for quick results the longer you play the game the bigger the reward yeah I totally agree with that I listen I know uh you've already seen this quote 101 different times but the secret of getting ahead is getting started and I think that's especially applicable when it comes to creating content that first piece of content you put out will scare you will terrify you for the
first week it's going to feel uncomfortable it's going to feel awkward after a month you're like this is weird but okay I I kind of understand after 3 months you're like okay like I'm not the best but I'm getting the hang of after 6 months after one year it's it's totally normal plus also the cool thing is we live in an environment right now it's normal to create content when I was making content 10 years ago like especially you know I didn't made a lot of gym content like as I was going to the gym
I was what I was the books I was reading the gym content I was making like it was weird like people were all looking and staring at me whereas these days it's normal like everyone creates content so yeah I I I remember the first time I ever went live and by the way you should go live a lot I think Live's got a huge potential first time I went live zero people on the live and I was still talking to the live so how weird is that I'm like literally there's no one there and I'm
talking to the camera like so everyone starts somewhere no and also you know little action step for the next seven days here's what I want you to do I want you whether it's in the car you practice safe driving please uh you know only if you have one of those phone clip thingies um if it's in the car if it's you getting ready in the morning whatever it is place your phone somewhere and just record for 5 to 10 minutes and don't post it anywhere don't don't worry no one's going to see it no one's
going to see you stutter no one's going to see you sneeze no one's going to see you mud up your no one's going to see this this is simply practice okay so I want everyone to do that right now because listen you don't need to be an expert everything even me like I'm not a good to be honest I always said I'm not a good public speaker I've just had enough practice where I'm okay like good enough to get by but definitely wouldn't say I'm a a Steve Harvey or Tony Robbins or anything I've just
done my reps well I I'll go a step further if you post up a video on stories 7 days in a row from the time this video goes up and tag us both on Instagram stories I'll pick one of you to get the free, P okay there we go so you don't even have to even have a brilliant business idea you just need we're going to pay you to start something that's going to help you pretty quick message but you are only one piece of content away from building a million dollar microp personal Rand to
be honest you're probably going to create content create content and it's not really going to resonate with the market and then you're going to create one piece of content that just like and by the way that doesn't mean it gets the most amount of views it just cuts through the noise and it just it attracts the right person to your business I was doing YouTube for four years until I broke through with one video and then all my other videos starting getting views and I was like discovered suddenly on YouTube I was already you know
okay on Tik Tok and Instagram but that one video that one video that's why you got to keep going correct with a strong micr personal brand you no longer have to chase clients because they will come to you whe listen Chase clients sponsors business deals like anything okay stop chasing start attracting it I mean Marketing sales different strategies this this is definitely I mean marketing is better than sales but they connect so you still need a closer or sales system to perhaps win the business but you'll get the inquiry much easier with this approach and
listen this happened to me I had an agency for 6 years but because I built my personal brand I didn't have to go out looking for clients now listen we still ran ads to a vssl we still uh did outbound but that was like you know very um you know maybe that was 25 30% of the agency most of the clients just came to me and you know it's so weird as well CU I was like creating this content as I'm building my agency and then people would find me for like initially I just was
doing like Photo Video services and then I had one client who was like oh could you do this as an ongoing thing for me and yeah it was just one of the biggest competive that I had was building personal brain well sorry my age now but when I started out my agency we used to use PR for this effect you get a newspaper to write about you and then you get all the inquiries now you can just do it yourself you don't need the the newspaper to write about you [ __ ] do it yourself
correct even in my companies you know the reason I have such an elite team uh is because of my personal brand you know I genely would not be in the position I am today uh if it wasn't from my team and I wouldn't be able to get the team I have because if it wasn't for my personal brand this is your team by the way uh this is is some of my team yeah The Killers something they some of my team and then this is uh uh my buddy George George heeden uh and then Jake
as well um probably one of the best athletes in the world right now shout out to Jake going back to the main point that I want to discuss here it's I'm able to attract these people because some people bear in mind some people look at my personal and they're like I don't want to work for this guy you know I don't I don't align with their values or I don't align with the way that they want to do things and that's cool you're not meant to be for everyone okay but the people who are bought
in are super bought him so um yeah I'm fortunate where it allows me to basically attract Top Talent on autopilot I mean I think you met Max downstairs he is a CEO of one of my companies listen we we have over 100,000 applications to work between the companies that's another benefit of building a personal brand yeah the hiring people is 10 times easier as hiring people uh having strategic Partners on board JVS all this stuff it just becomes a breeze yeah I'm basically I'm I'm running I'm supposed to be running a marathon in April all
my team are training and I'm not training enough so I'm slacking so so now we get to a very important question that you might be having which is okay how do you actually make money from your personal brand and that's where we get to stage four and five money that's make some money okay all right step four monetize your personal brand this is the most important step right you want to make money let's get into it what do we need tonight so listen I want to make something very clear right now which is whatever you
are doing your personal brand can turbocharge it okay if you if you're a real estate agent keep doing that if you're a fitness coach keep doing that if you're an e-com owner keep doing that a chef whatever it is that you are doing right now building a personal brand will make it easier to attract clients earn more money and get noticed okay so whatever you're doing keep it up and a personal brand is basically you're now your competitive Advantage but in every business by the way now for some businesses that ceiling is 100 million a
year but every business and every opportunity does have a ceiling okay so for some of you maybe you've hit a ceiling in your current career for example you could be the best personal trainer in the world and you might make 15 20,000 a month right whereas if you're online personal trainer like or you're doing Fitness online I mean a lot of people making 20 grand a month just in not to be insensitive but that's just very normal for for most people in the online space uh so that's kind of where like you could be capping
out uh or let's say for example you want a clean slate uh building a personal brand puts a life on easy mode puts life on easy mode I should say so whatever it is you're doing right now whether that's an agency whether you're a chef whether you're a uh a real estate agent anything that you are doing right now uh a developer whatever it is okay use a personal brand to make yourself more valuable U make your time worth more money or uh remove you know start a business whatever it is that you're doing okay
when does a clean slate makes sense uh as I mentioned you don't like your career career you realize your career is not scalable like you can be the best personal trainer in the world as I said if you're doing onetoone sessions there is inevitably a cap on that because you're just you know you're serving one to one you're not ser serving one to many uh or let's say for example you're in you're a lawyer and you're looking to make your first step into your Online Career well then in that case if you are starting with
a clean slate in my opinion in 2025 there's only one way you should be monetizing your personal brand and that is with information and I am so excited for this portion because I know we're going to lock heads because I know that you have very strong opinions on selling information and uh yeah maybe I'll give today this is about you so no no I I listen I would love to have a a respectful debate about it I I will lose I think in in your house I will lose for sure no no I don't I
don't think so no all right's see let's go for it okay uh because you know for me there's a stigma around uh selling coaching in courses but whether you like it or not and I know for some of you guys you might want to jump off a bridge when you hear this you have bought info before you have bought info you've bought info you bought everyone I'm selling a book yeah that's info and I don't think people I really don't think people understand that that college books tutors even consulting firms when you go to McKenzie
and Company you're paying them for info for example even sometimes you know what when I need to call my lawyer he's billing me per hour for info now there's certain things that my lawyer my attorneys they're acting on my behalf that that goes from info to Services all that stuff is info and I'll give you uh even better example you know for you to really for me to really drive this home Point uh this uh uh Point home when I work with my tennis coach I'm not paying he's not holding my hand when I work
my my tennis coach he's not holding my hand and hitting the ball for me okay so I'm paying him for info so even when you're studying for exams and you know you're working with a tutor even when you're working with your tennis coach you're you're paying for information transfer now it all comes down to packaging okay so there's many different ways you can package it whether that's a book you know and you're selling info through the form of a book whether that's an online course whether that's coaching whe the way you package it up is
up to you but at the end of the day the real the business is selling information okay in fact I'll give you some examples in fact some of the biggest names in the online space have made majority of their money selling information Russell Brunson okay and I know you've had him on yeah genius yeah absolute genius loved his episode so much learning Russell Brunson made a ton of money selling info in fact he created a DVD course on how to make a potato gun and he made millions of dollars doing so which is why as
well you can find I call it unique value zones this a lot of there more technical information is in that uh unlisted YouTube video uh I call it uh unique value zones you won't you don't want to focus on a massive market so I'm not telling you you should sell information on uh Fitness like that now you have to get into expert territory and trust me first of all you're not an expert you shouldn't claim to be an expert but instead of Fitness rather than Fitness let's say you go from Fitness your Niche is Mothers
and let's say your unique value zone is uh helping postmortem uh mothers uh uh lose their pregnancy weight in 12 weeks okay or let's say for example even with me you don't you don't want to be be Ali abdal you don't want to be the productivity guy but let's say something I didn't struggle with to to this day if your unique value Zone and the only thing you dedicated your life to and you studied and you researched was uh helping uh successful online entrepreneurs reduce their screen time leading to more peace and profit in their
life like do you think good idea by the way yeah and by the way that's something I would pay for now you should not be a productivity expert I'm not saying you should be the don't try to compete with Ali abdall okay instead rather the sector or the industry even you know people say oh find your Niche I don't even think you should find your Niche you should find your unique value Zone okay the little small aspect of the market that you're cornering uh going back to uh you know the uh uh statement of you
know how many people have made their money sing information ask for moi you know he made I would say conservatively $100 million with gym launch gym launch was a coaching company they would charge 30 30 or $42,000 a year to coach gyms on how to grow okay and he made it easily $100 million with info and also he uses his personal brand to scale his portfolio companies which once again are primarily info businesses another example Alex Becker entrepreneur and SAS founder he conservatively made $75 million from selling info and then he used that money for
his next Ventures now most people never get started because they think they don't have anything valuable to share but like I said you don't need to be an expert you just need to synthesize information that is already out there I'll give you another example when you're having driving lessons you're paying for info right the it's not like the driving instructor is holding the wheel for you you you're paying for knowledge transfer okay they have knowledge on how to pass that you don't have and by the way they're not saying they're an expert because a lot
of the guidelines and a lot of the ways that you succeed that information's already there been books on it out there there's a procedures there's protocols on there so all they do is they synthesize that information they they study that information and then they help a knowledge transfer to you okay how do you actually succeed with this okay so I'm not saying that you should be an expert you don't need to be an expert all you need to do is synthesize all everyone knows this okay all the information is out there I'm a massive fan
of paying for info I still do it to this day you know there was a individual I paid $250,000 for or two uh for 10 calls I think you know uh to be entirely honest the first two calls we kind of talk business other eight calls we just kind of you know we basically just trash and um but I was cool with that because I got what I needed once again I was in a very specific uh industry there's one specific outcome I got and for me that 250,000 was worth it I get it you
know these are large numers so in your case maybe divide it by let's say for example you have a very spe specific problem and for you the $250 let's say it's or $25 it's worth it paying that amount of money to have a knowledge transfer some from someone who is many steps ahead of you so even to this day I'm still paying for info once again every time I call my lawyer I'm paying for info he's billing me for knowledge transfer by the way nothing you said right now I would disagree with at all I
also pay £8,000 a month to a business coach because what got me here won't get me there so uh there's a there's this Nuance to it but I'm going to let you finish before I say what I think about it so Changing Times this wasn't actually possible a few years ago but with the Advent of AI you can now easily find information on a specific markets problems and then synthesize that information in order to help people through coaching in my opinion when you're first getting started out I don't think it's smart to uh sell digital
products when you're first starting out I think you should be working with people one-on-one uh because then it's easier to help them out you're getting more face to FaceTime I think you should have face to FaceTime with your market and you know it's funny as old people tell me all the time like oh uh you shouldn't sell your time for money it it's funny because there's a lot of things that people think sounds right but when you're further ahead in the game like you you understand it's just that it sounds nice but it's not actual
fact it's not actually factual you know this whole you shouldn't s sell your time for money okay well Taylor Swift sold her time for money and she made a billion dollars on her last tour so should she not sell her time for money your favorite football player sells his time for money he gets a wage and he has to show up to training and games at these specific he's selling his time for money okay so there's nothing wrong with selling your time for money just as long as you're getting paid adequately so with that personal
trainer you know the inperson personal trainer example he can still sell his time for money just as long as he's getting adequately compensated for it you know let's say for example by working with online coaches so now he has his client bases all around the world or let's say he does a hyrid model where you know the beginning like really boring the stuff with not much Nuance where it's going to be applicable to every single client that is formed uh as a digital product or this training that someone has to go through before they start
working with the online coach and then they pick up you know 50% of the way through where now it's you know more nuance and uh more detail is needed for their specific case so information is all out there you just need to basically like synthesize it package it up into the right formatting and the right procedure and then tackle one specific unique value Zone again every you just said that I agree with the Nuance on the um I actually am one of those people that say don't sell time but it's kind of like like thumbnail
titles and on YouTube videos sometimes you need to look at the detail what that actually means cuz let's take the Taylor Swift example she's not selling the 2 hours she's on stage she's selling an outcome she's selling the 50,000 people in a Stadium being filled up for 7 Days list the upside on the and the outcome and that that's the Nuance I would like people to learn cuz you know certainly you know just selling time specifically a lot of people are trapped School tells you to sell time right that the teachers are selling time but
actually if a teacher helped a student and that student went on to be Elon Musk and Elon Musk became a billionaire there is an argument that she was underpaid you know so I think it's making sure that people understand that their values should be based really on outcomes I sold time when I started I had a gardening company but as I built the business i h I leveraged I hired people and they did the work and I leveraged but I think selling time specifically is unfortunately 95% of people that's all they know so I just
I'd love to add some new on which is if you had to sell time to get somewhere fine I sold at this event and du byy my time to talk for 15 minutes for £25,000 technically I sold my time but why do I do it one I make contacts when I'm here two I make content when I'm here three I reach a thousand people in their audience and four that video goes hopefully to hundreds of thousands of people that was made during the speech right so I get value on top of value so I'm actually
I just I just yeah but everything you said is right I just want to make sure that people don't miss the Nuance that selling time alone is dangerous you're 100% correct what I mean by that is listen don't be afraid to sell your time for money if it's leverage and if you're getting adequated if you're getting compensated adequately for how much you want your time to be worth I think it's funny I just think it's gone so far this way of everyone's like don't sell your time for money you want and systems and blah and
it's like well some of the wealthiest Taylor Swift as I said literally sold herti for money G this far enough I'll tell you because 95% of people are still selling time the other people are winning the people that actually want to buy your time to get rich from your time are winning you and I think it's gone too far the other way cuz we're watching content in that bubble around there not the facts are 95 plus% of people are still selling an hourly rate I I I think we should keep on the messaging that don't
sell outcomes not sell time everyone was selling outcomes then we could say oh you know some people you just need to sell time it's not gone far enough yet no I agree sell the outcome but let's say for example you know they still got paid for the amount of time that they spent uh let's say they made 100 times what they charge per hour now would you still say don't sell time I would say they're selling outcomes at that point the tennis instructor is actually selling outcomes I bet he's charging you more because he's selling
an outcome that perhaps he better than others no but there's still a lot of time so the tennis coach is still but but they're only doing that because the system really likes you to sell time but I had an agency and when I started out we sold time a designer to design your brand for 3 hours then we realized that actually the brand itself was more valuable than the 3 hours it spent to do it right it's the old analogy of the guy that went and fixed the submarines for the Navy it's a true story
he they had a problem with the submarine Navy called this guy in he went in in 15 minutes he fixed the problem and then he sent me an invoice for £320,000 and they said it only took you 15 minutes to fix it he's like sure but it took me 20 years to understand where to go in that submarine to fix it so I think it's just people aren't taught how to sell outcomes so I'm although I totally understand I still sell time here and there even though I genuinely think time on itself is it's not
infinite so there's only so many hours you can work lawyers are still selling time I think they're dumb it's not scalable right so yeah there's a point in history especially if you're doing social media this should be all working when you're sleeping there's another reason to do this cuz actually you can be sleeping and you can be making money right so I just I want to make sure that we don't because we I live in a bubble with you sometimes where we think that's being said a lot it's not being said enough school system is
still winning it's still teaching people to leave University and spend 40 hours a week working on a job but that's it they don't have any upside other than the 40 hours they worked as that company monetizes them you know what I mean no listen I agree I just once again I think there is a lot of the reason I want to say that is is a big contrarian to what you hear out there which is as you said you know or maybe at least in the bubble we live in which is like don't sell your
time for money you want to build systems in my mind I'm like listen when you're a beginner so they're all the rich people we know saying that no they're partly Rich for a reason like Taylor Swift is not selling 2 hours on stage I I guarantee you what do you mean she's only doing 2 hours right she turns out everyone else is doing everything else she goes on stage for 2 hours she didn't say I'm going to give you two hours of my time for 45 million pounds she's not doing that no in her no
I'm telling you right now in her mind she'll do the math and she'll go okay this is going to be cuz be in mind it is N9 months of her life yeah no trust me like when you're on tour no your entire life's gone right so she did sell men once of her time for a billion dollars now that's a tra mind if you I'll be by the way though just continue with the analogy after the nine months her music's still selling yeah so she's not just selling those N9 months she worked it's a bit
like batch recording she worked for 9 months but that'll last for three or four years maybe longer right well no because that's the concert the ticket sales so that has a shelf life but she doesn't just make money from ticket sales she makes money from merchandise which get sold online by the way we should be arguing about courses now on so you want people to sell time no I'm just saying like there's these things that I hear constantly coming from people that have never actually lived it like for example you know if you told me
this year like let's say for example I had to what's something really know this if I had to do XL spreadsheets every single day for six for eight hours a day for next year will you gave me $200 million for cash I'll do it I'll sell my time for money but now you're talking about value for time that's I think that's a slight equation no but that's what I'm saying as long as you're getting the amount of value uh you're getting the value for your time don't be afraid to sell money I hate sorry don't
be afraid to sell your time I actually think we're not far off saying the same thing maybe in a different way you guys let us know in the comments who won that one right expert you don't have to be one is it you shouldn't aim to be one here's a great example this is Alexi who is a 13-year-old kid he makes about 50 Grand a month with 2,000 subscribers now if you go watch his videos okay he doesn't claim to be an expert he's never once claim to be an expert ever all he does is
he analyzes the market with his unique worldview cuz remember there has been one of him there never there isn't another one of him and there never will be another one of him so he has a unique a worldview a unique lens in which he views these businesses that he's analyzing and as a result he's seen as a trusted Authority he never says he's an expert never but because he breaks down because he gives value as a result of it he's seen as a trusted Authority so what's the best way to package up information thank you
coaching the best way to monetize your brand at the beginning is through coaching coaching is direct personal and gives you the ability to validate your offer and understand your market and to be entirely honest kind of like the kind of like the driving uh instructor example you can find the books that he's helping you through or for example the the tutor example uh you can buy those books right they have basically just taken all the information out there synthesized it and a lot of it is just you just want someone to sit there with you
while you go through it or you just want someone to guide you through the process it's it's not really about them it's just them taking you through a process that's been already validated and proven to work so I think that's one of the reasons why coaching is so great once again if you're getting the right hourly rate for it uh because a lot of times it's not even the pressure isn't even on you it's just about synthesizing all the information that's out there because it's all out there putting it in a a concise way where
you're taking people you know similar to what we've done here like imagine if this was my coaching program right everything I taught you here today all of the the steps were weeks and I broke it down as a five-week uh coaching program and every week we're going to go each through each these steps and then the person that I'm coaching is going to have some questions for me they're going to say how does this relate to my situation how would you do things based on and there you go there's your coaching program right and all
this information is out there right it's all out there it's all all you need to do as I said is synthesize it uh put it in the right order and then you take people through that process someone can actually do that with this video if you want to yeah feel free why is coaching the best way to start listen with courses usually you're going to charge $100 to $1,000 per sale whereas with coaching listen you can charge $3 to $20,000 per client it depends on the the the quality of the problem that you're solving for
someone you know so you only really need three to five clients per month uh your audience size only needs to be a couple hundred to a few thousand Max effort to create there's no upfront work just zoom calls gather feedback iterate you know try to create some resources like for example if you create something like this you know once you've synthesized once you looked at all the information out there try to take them through a process and have and once again this is um I will go more in depth on this in uh the free
keynote that people get uh ease of selling it's easy personalize one to one whereas courses you know uh you're going to charge a lot less you're going to need thousands of customers your audience size will need to be tens of thousands hundreds of thousands even Millions so like there's a place for digital prodcts for sure it's just further on and I also recommend people start with coaching if they want to make money with uh information uh months of content creation that's other thing like the amount of money we we spend on production like having my
team tra I mean listen you came here with your team and you've got you spend tens of thousands a month on your content team and you know running that whole thing so that's a lot of upkeep and you know it's going to take you months of content creation filming editing uh and also in terms of ease of selling it's hard it requires strong marketing and a bigger audience the the truth of the matter is to sell digital products it's because it's become so commoditized it is very difficult to sell whereas coaching not only do people
want to be run through the process they want you that's the truth of it right if you're creating content that's valuable to people they want you to run them through the process a lot of times it's not even about that they want more knowledge from you they just want you to be present while you go through it so that's true the other thing about this I mean we won't get into courses cuz I think it's from my personal view on it but there's one element of this is if you do if you don't do this
first and build up your you know ability to deliver you have to then this if you do this first the problem I've seen is a lot of people get a very bad reputation because although people are only paying $100 I know someone charging $5 for a course and people are really pissed off with them because they've over promised even for the $5 right they're not delivering policy they didn't have a refund policy good point right it's $5 you wouldn't think they need the administration needed to refund a $5 maybe they but the the reputation got
so badly damaged because they they didn't deliver group coaching group coaching okay so what happens when you don't have enough time to serve all these clients and this is how we you know take things up a level because it might get to a point where you know let's say you're charging if you have a valuable enough problem like let's say for example and this is why you want to pick your uvz correctly you want to pick your uh target market correctly let's say um going back to the example of me with a successful online entrepreneurs
looking to reduce their screen time to have more peace and profit in their life successful entrepreneurs like the sort of people who are trying to reduce their screen time who are successful entrepreneurs they probably have you know two grand to spend on that solution where you know or two and a half Grand where over five calls with some tools and resources and other stuff you can coach them to that outcome right now making 500 a month sorry 500 per call and let's say you're doing 10 calls a week right you're making five grand a week
you're making 20 grand a month that's really good money now let's say you get to a point where you're like you know what I don't feel I don't want to do any more calls I'm kind of at my capacity then you can start moving to group coaching now Bear In Mind Group coaching is harder to sell than one-on-one Co it's all like at the bottom of the rung is actually courses right because at the day it's commoditized like even I'm I hope you don't take this in any way as me trying to promote it uh
don't buy it in fact uh digital laun now we want it we want it I have something called digital Launchpad it's a mobile app it was kind of my way of giving back to my 16-year-old self once again full money back guarantee uh and every single month we release a course in there now for example the month the course we released this month is uh I don't know if you know Tony Jeff he has like a YouTube channel with 2 million subscribers uh ex um British Olympian boxer right so like every month we're releasing stuff
that's filmed on RED cameras red red Raptors like Netflix grade stuff all around the world and we're charging $37 a month for it and the reason I say that is not like oh we're so great or whatever my point is it even stuff like that has commoditized courses so much to the point where courses don't really inherently have value for people you need to go A step above and that's why when you're coaching someone there's a lot of value in that even if you're just teaching the same materials you would have in the course but
people want that one-on-one Factor now group coaching is a rung below that it's harder to sell you're not going to be able to charge as much but at a certain point it makes more sense to uh to scale it up and then there's many other things that you can do apart from that but yeah you can move to group coaching after once you validated your coaching offer you can start thinking about scaling so that's kind of what we talked about there uh stage five is automate and scale and I'll show you how to do that
or once again high level uh I'll show you high level that uh unlisted YouTube video will really help you take things a step further uh the less access to yourself that you're giving the less you make per client but if you are a capacity you simply have no choice so pros of this stage is you reach more people you work you you know you do less one-on-one and you have automated sales the cons is less personal connection and then hard harder to LGE premium rates so the way you do this is you take your coaching
offer uh I guess the step below or sorry the next step is coaching offer then you turn into a group coaching offer or you turn into a hybrid offer where once again maybe someone is going through 3 to four hours of training that it's kind of unnecessary for you to do that one-on-one with them because it's just very like you just don't need someone coaching you through that so let's say you do a 4-Hour training that they give you with all the resources templates everything and then you only speak to them once they've done that
for the final hour where you can give a little bit more of that Nuance so there's different ways to play it but the main objective here is we're taking our coaching offer and then turning into a digital product scaling 101 if your coaching has reached its limits you need to turn it into a digital product and scale it transfer all of your coaching into a digital product package it in a repeatable and scalable offer and just understand your first digital product this is why it's so important really to coach people 101 in my opinion is
because like going back to the worldview thing there's things that work for you but you quickly start to realize for other people maybe other people have a sticking point that you don't you didn't have and maybe uh you had a sticking point or something that you thought was a bigger problem that other people find it quite easy so the more you speak to your customers and the more you speak to your clients you're going to figure that out to me that's the MVP minimum viable product is the oneon-one that that's literally what we call it
yeah yeah cuz then you figure out what's what what they need at scale people need at scale correct so I know I kind of breeed a little bit over step four and five but we got more in-depth stuff in that uh unlisted YouTube keynote but here the summary step one build an intentional personal brand step two create a micro personal brand step three Implement a Content strategy step four monetize your personal brand step five automate and scale no matter who you are whether you're just getting started or you have a thriving career you are already
an entrepreneur and because of that you should be building an intentional personal brand so I hope this step by step was helpful if you want even more detailed breakdown I'll leave a link to that YouTube unlisted video once again no email no optin nothing that that won't even make you leave YouTube so that be down below and also just uh don't forget to enter the giveaway I think you said uh you were going to pick one person who tags us every day for the next seven days there are nine people we're going to give $3,000
