Video Transcript:
Once Upon a Time five young women all dressed in their NYSC uniforms were deployed to an African village named Oka The Village was a wonder the air smelled of ripe fruits the trees danced in the breeze and the hills stood like giant Gods watching over the land the villagers welcomed the corpus with wide Smiles bringing Gifts of yam plantain and cloth the Corpus felt like Queens the villagers told them you are welcome here but remember our culture is sacred respect our ways and you will live in peace the king a wise man with a beard
as white as cotton invited them to his Palace he sat on his throne surrounded by Elders his voice was strong like thunder before rain my daughters he said this is a land of rules obey them and you will be safe but one thing you must never do never enter the Forbidden Forest that place is not for humans it is sacred the corpers nodded their faces serious but as soon as they left the palace they whispered among themselves do you believe those stories about the forest oui the leader of the group asked another Corp adaa rolled
her eyes it's just to scare us every village has tailes like this that night they were shown their new home a cozy mod House near the Village Square the villagers treated them like royalty food was brought to their doorstep and the people greeted them with respect as the moon climbed the sky the corpers gathered outside the house their faces lit by the silver light they could hear villagers laughing and singing in the distance I this place is beautiful oui said looking around but deep in her heart the king's words echoed The Forbidden Forest what could
be so dangerous about a forest the night passed peacefully but little did they know their curiosity would soon lead them down a path they could never return from the moon was round and bright hanging in the sky like a golden Calabash The Village Square buzzed with excitement as people gathered to hear the night taale the corpers dressed in their night rappers sat among the villagers their faces glowing with curiosity the air was warm but the stories made their skin tingle like cold water running down their backs a little girl no older than 10 stepped forward
her name was oin and her voice was small but strong tonight she began I will tell you about the Forbidden Forest the crowd leaned in closer the corpas included O's eyes sparkled like stars as she spoke the forest is alive she said it has eyes that see everything if you go deep into it you will find a tree bigger than a house if you touch it the tree will take you back to the entrance but those who go too far never come back the same the villagers nodded murmuring in agreement but the corpers exchanged glances
their mind spinning with curiosity that's not all oin continued some say they've seen creatures headless men women with glowing eyes and Spirits who sing songs that make you forget your name the villagers shuddered but oui the leader of the Corpus smiled her smile was small like the first crack in an egg what nonsense she whispered to her team after the tale the Villager clapped and began to leave but the Corpus stayed behind their hearts racing that was just a story to scare us oui said her voice firm we're educated we should find out the truth
ourselves aah frowned but what if it's real the king warned us oui laughed softly her voice like a song bird moing the storm think about it she said if the forest is so dangerous why hasn't anyone seen these creatures outside it they're just trying to keep us away from something the others hesitated but oui's words were like a spark in dry grass one by one they nodded well we'll go in the morning oui decided just a quick look no one will even know the night felt longer than usual as they lay in bed their minds
filled with thoughts of the forest the Corpus didn't know it yet but their footsteps were already echoing in a place they weren't meant to tread time passed and the corpers became part of the village they taught in the school supervised the king's farms and live peacefully among the people they no longer spoke about the Forbidden Forest the villagers adored them and the corpal enjoyed their stay days turned to months and soon it was almost a year since they arrived with just one week left before their service was over oui sat under the Big Tree near
their quarters lost in thought the others were packing their belongings and preparing to leave but oui's mind was elsewhere it doesn't feel right she said suddenly the others looked at her what doesn't feel right a asked zipping up her trousers leaving here without seeing the Forbidden Forest oui replied her voice low but firm the others exchanged uneasy glances but we promise not to go there said amaka one of the corpers oui smiled faintly we've been here for a year we've followed every rule done everything right don't you want to see if the stories are true
just for ourselves no one has to know the others hesitated but oui's words were tempting finally they nodded reluctantly fine aah said but how will we find the way that evening they called oin the little girl with the sharp eyes and quick tongue she stood before them clutching her doll her face serious o Yin oui began gently we need your help the little girl frowned help with what we want to know the way to the forest oui said her voice soft and careful O's eyes widened and she shook her head quickly no you can't go
there it's dangerous we won't go far OU assured her we just want to look it'll be our secret the villagers will never know she handed oin a small bracelet as a gift oen stared at the bracelet then at the Corpus her little heart wavered finally she sighed okay she said her voice barely above a whisper but you have to promise you'll come back before it's dark we promise oui said smiling oin described the path to the forest in detail her voice trembling when she finished she looked at them one last time please don't go too
far she begged the next day at the hottest part of the afternoon when most of the villagers were resting three of the corers Slipped Away they laughed quietly as they walked teasing the villagers in their minds they've scared themselves with stories oui said shaking her head this is going to be nothing as they entered the forest it was like stepping into another world the air was cooler and the trees were tall and thick their leaves shimmering with strange colors flowers of every shade bloomed and the ground sparkled as if sprinkled with stars this is beautiful
amaka whispered her eyes wide but as they Venture deeper the magic began to fade the trees grew darker their branches twisting like claws the air became heavy and the one sweet scent turned sour does anyone else feel strange aah asked her voice shaky oui waved her hand dismissively it's just your mind playing tricks let's keep going they walked on unaware that the forest was watching them and with every step they were walking straight into its trap the forest grew quieter with every step even the bird stopped singing and the wind felt like it was holding
its breath the corpers moved slowly now their laughter replaced by uneasy Whispers I don't like this amaka said clutching her scarf tightly oui rolled her eyes though her own heart was beating faster we're just scaring ourselves she muttered but then a sharp scream tore through the silence it was aah she was pointing ahead her hand trembling like a leaf in the wind look she cried her voice cracking the others followed her gaze and their blood ran cold then in the distance was a figure a man walking slowly but something was terribly wrong he had no
head his shoulders moved as if he was breathing but his neck ended in nothingness the Corpus froze their breath caught in their throats the man without his head kept walking he stepped slow and steady like he was searching for something or someone run oui shouted her voice breaking the spell of fear they turned to flee but as they did a wall appeared out of nowhere it was tall black and smooth stretching as far as their eyes could see where did this come from amaka screamed pounding on the wall we're trapped aah cried her knees buckling
before they could gather their thoughts strange creatures began to emerge from the Shadows the eyes glowed red their shapes twisting and shifting like smoke some looked like animals others like humans but none of them were natural the corpers clung to each other their fear spilling out in choked sobs one of the women fell to the ground her body shaking another stood Frozen unable to move or speak we shouldn't have come we whispered her voice barely audible her confidence was gone replaced by sheer Terror the creatures circled them their glowing eyes fixed on The Intruders the
forest seemed alive its trees leaning closer its Shadows stretching longer for the first time the Corpus understood the truth this was no ordinary place this was a world they were never meant to enter and now it was too late to turn back back in Oka Village the day turned strange the sky once bright and blue grew dark as though a giant hand had smeared it with ashes a fierce wind howled through the trees rattling windows and tearing leaves from their branches villagers stopped in their tracks their hearts heavy with unease something is wrong an elder
murmured gripping his staff tightly the chief priest a man with a face as old as time hurried to the Palace his beads clinking with each step he burst into to the king's chamber his voice urgent your majesty the forest gods are angry something terrible has happened the king frowned deeply his heart thinking he had lived long enough to know that when the forest stirred disaster was near what must we do he asked the priest shook his head his face Grim we must act quickly if we don't appease them the whole village will suffer meanwhile deep
in the forest oui and her friends were running like haunted animals the creatures they had seen earlier were gone but the forest felt alive watching their every move the path they had entered was gone replaced by endless trees and twisted Roots every single time they found the path and tried to step out they suddenly found themselves back inside the forest we need to find the way out oui said her voice trembling suddenly amaka screamed she had stepped on loose ground and tumbled into a deep abandoned well her cry echoed as she hit the bottom her
voice breaking with pain help me amaka shouted her voice filled with Terror the others rushed to the edge their faces pale they tried to pull her up but the well was deep and their hands were weak from fear and exhaustion we can't leave her there aah sobbed tears streaming down her face ouji beit her lip her mind racing but the forest offered no mercy the air grew colder the Shadows darker I don't know what to do uji admitted her voice cracking they were lost their phones useless their voices swallowed by the forest every dire Direction
looked the same trees stretching endlessly their branches twisting like bony fingers as night began to fall the reality of their mistake sank in the Corpus huddled together their faces pale with regret in their hearts they knew the truth the forest wasn't just angry it wanted to keep them forever the forest turned into a nightmare the air felt heavy thick with the smell of damp Earth and something else something rotten strange sounds echoed around the Corpus low growls sharp cries and Whispers that seemed to come from nowhere Shadows danced wildly on the ground though there was
no light to cast them the women huddled together under a tree their bodies trembling like leaves in the wind II tried to speak but her voice was caught in her throat amaka was still stuck in the well crying softly what what do we do now adaa whispered her teeth chattering no one had an answer the forest seemed alive breathing around them and every sound felt like a warning back in the village chaos erupted the wind howled like a wild animal and the sky churned with dark clouds villagers screamed as strange figures began to appear headless
men wandering the streets their footsteps slow but deliberate masquerades with long canes roam the village striking the ground as if calling for blood the chief priest worked tirelessly in the palace chanting and making sacrifices he slaughtered a goat then a but the gods remained silent the wind grew stronger shaking the very walls of the palace this is beyond ordinary anger the priest told the king the forest Gods demand Justice Just then oin the little girl who had helped the corpers ran into the palace her face pale with fear your majesty she cried falling to her
knees the king leaned forward what is it child speak O's voice cracked as she confessed the corpers they asked me for the way to the forest I told them gasps filled the room the elders stared at Orin their faces a mix of shock and anger you did what One Elder shouted I didn't know they would go Oran sobbed they promised not to they said it was just a secret the king's face darkened but he held up his hand to silence the room we cannot waste time he said firmly we must save them before it's too
late the chief priest nodded the gods demand their return if if they die in the forest the curse will spread to us all the villagers though angry set their emotions aside torches were lit and preparations were made the chief priest led the way chanting as they marched toward the edge of the forest they knew they were racing Against Time For The Wrath of the forest would only grow stronger with each passing moment and deep inside the forest the corpa SAT Frozen in fear unaware that the villagers were coming for them or that their fate was
already hanging by a thread three days passed in the forest the Coopers wandered aimlessly their faces pale their bodies weak from hunger and fear they couldn't tell day from night anymore the forest was endless its Shadows swallowing them whole they stumbled over Roots their clothes torn and muddy amarus cries from the well had faded to silence and oui's one strong voice was now a whisper I can't walk anymore aah said sinking to the ground we we can't give up oui croaked though her legs shook like a newborn calves but even oui's determination couldn't fight the
forest by the third night all of them collapsed their bodies limp like broken dolls the forest was silent as though it had swallow followed their hope whole back in the village the chief priest performed the final ritual he stood at the edge of the forest surrounded by villagers holding torches his voice boomed as he chanted his hands raised to the sky spirits of the forest release them he cried his voice echoing into the trees the wind roed in response and the Flames of the Torches Dance w wildly the villagers held their breath as the priest
continued his voice growing louder then suddenly the wind stopped and the forest fell silent the villagers waited their hearts pounding moments later the forest seemed to sigh and a soft light flickered through the trees they are free the priest said his voice trembling the next morning the Corpus woke up not in the forest but in the village Hospital bandages covered their bodies and the smell of herbs filled the air they blinked confused as the faces of villagers hovered over them we we're alive oui whispered yes said one of the elders you're alive but you are
not free the corpers exchanged frighten glances what do you mean aah asked her voice shaking the chief priest stepped forward his face grave the forest gods have marked you if you leave this Village you will die the spirits will not let you go the corp's joy turned to despair OU's hands tremble as tears filled her eyes we were just curious she whispered we didn't mean any harm the priest shook his head curiosity is what angered the gods you broke the rule Rule and now the rule binds you the villagers looked at the corers with pity
but no one dared to argue with the priest's words oui and her friends realized that their lives would never be the same they had survived the forest but their freedom was gone Locked Away by the spirits they had dared to defy the once bold women WEP silently each one wondering how a single decision had led them to the his fi the days after their rescue were heavy with sorrow oui lay on her hospital bed her eyes fixed on the ceiling her legs once strong and full of purpose were now lifeless the chief priest's words echoed
in her mind you will never walk again tears rolled down her cheeks like a broken stream on the next bed adaa sat quietly staring at the empty space where her right arm used to be she could could still feel it sometimes like a ghost lingering but the truth was undeniable it was gone a Mara and the other two corpas bore deep scars across their faces and arms marks that would never fade they looked at each other in silence their regret as loud as Thunder how did it come to this amaka finally whispered her voice breaking
we should have listened oui replied her voice trembling we should have listened to the king to the villagers to oin but we didn't the villagers though angry at first saw the women's suffering and their hearts softened the corers begged for forgiveness bowing their heads in shame the Elder spoke to them gently what's done is done one Elder said you've paid a heavy price and the gods have punished you enough the story of The Forbidden Forest and the corporal's Disobedience spread through the village it was told at Moonlight Gatherings and whispered to Children before bed remember
the corpers who went to the forest parents would say Disobedience brings suffering no matter how curious you are some rules are not meant to be broken oui and her friends stayed in Oka Village unable to leave the villagers cared for them bringing food and offering Comfort but the Cora's lives were no longer the same they watched the seasons change from their new homes their dreams of returning to the city now Distant Memories years passed and the scars remained not just on their bodies but in their hearts oui once bold and confident now moved through life
quietly her broken legs a constant reminder of what curiosity had caused her aah learned to live with one arm but her smile never returned the others carried their burdens in silence each step a reminder of the forest wrath and so the story became a lesson for Generations the children of Oka Village grew up knowing the tale of the corpers who dared to enter the Forbidden Forest The Village thrived but the shadows of that tail lingered always reminding them that some rules were not just rules they were life itself oui and her friends lived out their
days in Oka forever changed their Fates intertwined with the village they had come to serve and the forest silent and watchful stood untouched its Secrets hidden from those who dared to dream of uncovering them I hope you enjoyed the story if so please like the video comment what you learned from the tale and don't forget to subscribe to the channel for more enchanting Tales just like this one thank you
