bab big Wing here pu piece don't drop the Bonnet okay that that was a that's just a little strip that's the rubber come with us into the belly of Theon all right wizard is smoking put this on the fuel tank see what we see welcome to H Garage the dumbest Automotive channel in all of YouTube and this is my dream car a 2008 Bugatti Veyron the fastest car in the world in its day thanks to the 16 cylinders four turbos 1,000 horsepower with this thing and I bought it because you all watch my stupid videos
which is just absolutely insane thank you so much for that I'm still pinching myself and the dealer who sold it to me spent almost $50,000 sorting the car all out before I took delivery very atypical for me but typical for me the moment I drove off about 5 minutes later the check engine light came on and then about 15 minutes later the low coolant light came on and uh yeah the honeymoon was over pretty quick thankfully the low coolant light was just low coolant it was topped off no leaks no problems there easy fix we
hope the check engine light was also an easy fix just a loose gas cap but that wasn't the case the code was for a big evaporative emissions leak and it so bad that when I fill up the tank it also can trigger a system to lean code and a misfire code so it is quite a mystery I have a bug that is a little bit sick and back when I was about to buy it they did offer to do a full inspection at the Bugatti dealer but that was going to cost $4,500 and I went
no no thank you now the reason for that crazy price is because they have to take the car apart to really inspect everything all the underbody panels all the back panels the Bonnet you can't just pop the hood on a Veyron it is a process but I drove the car home had these issues I need to sort out and thankfully I have the car wizard here in Kansas not a Bugatti dealer but the car wizard unfortunately though when I told him what I wanted to do he told me he was going to be very very
limited on how much he could work on the Veyron unfortunately so let's head to the car Wizards and see what he can do don't hurt me don't hurt me no more what is baby don't [Music] [Music] weard he's not working he must be doing some paperwork in the office weard what what are you doing I just I'm salivating over this these invoices have you seen the numbers oh I've seen it that's why I sent it to you I thought you'd really get a kick out of these Bugatti service records huh it's $400 an hour yes
yes $115,000 to do a normal service on a Bugatti in labor yeah $1,000 just to look at your airbag light yeah just to look at it yes not to work on it or fix it just to look at it yes 37 Grand to do all those Services you seem really really excited I've got to up my game this is no no you don't I okay I should even have shown this to youe no no of refix my glasses here well all that work and it still has some issues I told you about still has issues
the evaporative emission stuff which I'm hoping that we can kind of look at I know that you have some issues though I did contact my insurance guy uh-huh he said if the body cracks on the lift or something bad happens they may or may not cover it right they would definitely drop my ass like a bad habit yeah yeah we've had this conversation because I was so excited for the car wizard to be my Bugatti mechanic but you're you're saying you're you're not I'm not I'm pretty close to retirement on top of my insurance guy
is told me hell no it's not happening well how much could the insurance be he did say there's a a higher I have the max that they offer uhhuh and they say The Next Step Up is getting a plan from Lloyds of London yeah five grand a month $5,000 a month to have appropriate Insurance to work on the Bugatti yeah just I I'm not going to see any more of those probably so it's not really worth it bummer okay well will you at least look at it with me I'll take the I'll take a look
at it I'll take a peek but we're not putting it on the lift it can't stay here it can't stay here no understood okay well here it is Wizard 2008 Veyron yes wait yeah the exhaust is fine you don't need to inspect the exhaust with your fist look Ed bolum this Mr Bugatti's name no it's not Ed's name okay but uh I do have the wing halfway deployed like you're supposed to Houston CA has sent me the instructions you've seen the videos yes we have the gross evap leak or the big evap leak like it's
the gas cap code but it's not the gas cap uh but we can't see the evaporative emission system obviously with all this stuff here you can see a lot of the engine but it's just the pretty parts of the engine uh this panel needs to come off which includes the tail lights to really see anything thing and it is nine bolts so there are three here mhm three on the other side one in the middle and then one on each side of the Wings you lift it up a little bit disconnect the tail lights and
we can see the inside of a Bugatti veyon are you ready I am ready so hold on let me let me start my uh counter here we're counting up the the $400 an hour here you're not charging me 400 bucks an hour are you start no well I'm hoping that we could at least maybe like smoke test the EV system see I would love it if there's a big leak and it's super obvious yeah I would be happy to fix that for you but if they did something unfortunate while it was all apart then right
that'll have to go back to them or if it's all routed wrong that's going to be really hard to tell but the weird part is I only get the code when I fill up the tank that gives me the big evap leak it gives me a system to lean code and then that can lead to misfires which kind kind of makes sense right yeah it makes sense especially with the the lean and the misfires it's strange say only when you fill up maybe there's a purge valve issue or a vent valve or something but maybe
something's left unplugged or disconnected a hose or something right fingers cross on getting this Bonnet off and finding something obvious with a smoke tester like please I need a second Rolex this peekaboo under the seal right yeah there are well those are the bolts I think for for the cuz the air filters in these two silver things but here we go oh okay on the side there so one two being very careful and and they don't I don't think they come all the way out I think you just loosen them I want to kind of
test that three I'm going to loosen these three okay and then see what I kind of get as a result there should be some jiggle now oh yeah okay yep that is lifting off you don't have to take the bolts all the way out you just loosen them okay so then we have that and then we have this the center dude yeah yes let me get my tools together for that one well cuz that's that's not a normal Torx what is that that's called triple square or xcn it's 12o Torx basically okay all right let
me reach over and do a reach around here on this Bol okay probably don't want to drop that no the pressure is on I feel like if I put one finger on it it would just fall into there you go okay nice and long so that one's out yep we get the other side ones off all right interesting that this seals just kind of pressed in you'd think it 250 M hour that that it seems like it would wouldn't it right I'm I'm going to close the gas cap here CU I don't want to lean
on it and break it or something there's that one you know the good news is it has a ppf on it so there there's like two layers of ppf on the front on the back so like in the wing everything so I'll give you a discount on your 400 hour it's not it's not that scary because of of that yeah okay those three are loose now what do we got oh yeah okay very nice supposedly two more to go let's two more and then disconnecting the tail lights and I have the wing halfway deployed so
you put it in handling mode and you shut the car off before this pops out and gets in the way so about halfway up and it gives you room for the tool trying to if this breaks loose I don't want it to swing around and yeah oh yeah okay very nice you're a Bugatti mechanic now than I guess so you have a Bugatti sign up no no okay I never thought I would have that coming in the shop I never thought I'd own one of these things make sure it's always make sure the tip is
fully Seated on any of these torqus or triple squares just the tip yep it was all off recently the top off the coolant so so six bolts holds this it's nine three six 78 nine six yeah nine bolts and mhm and this goes 250 mph y oh yeah that's that's moving okay it's loose it's loose um so now we need to lift it up enough to where you can reach and disconnect the tail lightss and then we can remove it what that's going to require is a threeome I need to get Daniel over here can
help do this sounds good we need three people's help I heard they need need me for a uh brome okay so who's doing the holding and who's doing the disconnecting me and you can lift it and he can supposedly there's some tail light we don't know where they're at okay so way I saw it in Houston's video is tipped up this way for so here and then we tip up enough for you to see from the inside this way side said on the from like my side right here so like I'm looking at it whatever
looks like tail light plug so it's that it there okay we got one yep I got one plug over here but is it possible there's only one that runs the whole bang this one's an O2 sensor guess it's possible I guess we'll find out won't we so I got this here okay right we got to get around the big Wing here like it's a puzzle piece it seems like it was only one wire only one wire okay okay don't drop the Bonnet okay that okay that was a that's just a little strip that's the rubber
all right where the rubber meets the road here okay okay gently here we go it's off come with us into the belly of the Bugatti veyon what are you seeing I'm seeing Ed ban keep it's bug it's the Bugatti logo are you sure I am very sure so yeah there is a lot to see with this Bonnet off here's the coolant reservoir that they topped off for me to get home and you can very much see this giant exhaust here and the crazy mechanisms for the wing it's a big hydraulic arm Bas cylinder massive yes
absolutely and a lot of little robots to work it wow there's even a computer over here for something yeah what do you got on this side hopefully it's the uh EVAP system stuff huh luckily there's a diagram here shows the diverter Valves and secondary air pump and all the different things there but I do see like you said this looks to be the charcoal canister okay cuz one of those common things is a purge valve could be stuck open which yeah are are they usually off the charcoal canister on cars when the when the cars
parked those should be closed it should be closing off the EVAP system to the engine or to the air so I see some pipes it comes around look VW yes okay Val right but it transitions into Bugatti here Ed bolon okay and it goes into two there's a valve yeah looks like they're matching one on this side yeah okay interesting one of those could be bad and look how high that strut is mounted there yeah to this bar cross barar interesting which is carbon fiber and then we have I guess reservoir for the all the
hydraulic stuff for the suspension in the wing right yeah that's what that would appear to be very cool so on a full out service these fenders unbolt as well to reach a lot of things and get in there but we don't need to do that no we're not going there we just needed to see the EVAP system which thankfully we can see a lot of it here yeah to hopefully we can catch look at all those grounds there wow of grounds yes that's a ground Junction Point that's very good and then I guess oh that's
the battery charger cuz that's where I plug it in there very neat well it I mean it doesn't look absolutely terrifying with the Bonnet off I can see the bolts that come off to get the the fenders fenders off here's the ones we loosened yeah it just slides back in and you tighten it down that's handy yeah okay so I guess I'll get my smoke machine over here and we'll see if we see any smoke coming up anywhere we'll hook it to the fuel tank inlet here right I didn't fill up the tank all the
way so it should be able to circulate just fine and yeah if we see a big leak then we are in business hope all right wizard is smoking put this on the fuel tank and see what we see this is not something we ever want to see any Bugatti in any other circumstance no it isn't seiling as well as I thought it would I just had this tiny tiny little hole here yeah let me try it oh there you go hold her tight I'll hold it we have some suspense here I'm not seeing anything it's
possible one of these are stuck open filling the intake with smoke [Music] but none of these are quick disconnect they're all these squish I wish I could just undo one of them quickly will we be seeing something by now you think probably huh if it only happens on a fill up right it has to be something to do with the vapors getting into the into the engine only during that time it's not happening any other time though huh it will still throw a coat sometimes it's just but it's bad enough to make a system too
lean and a misfire okay this one has a removable uh connector on I'm just trying to get my finger on it and depress it let's see if I can get this one disconnected oh there you go now I should not be able to blow into this it should be sealed off where does this go this goes to these two little valves that go to the engine okay okay I can blow through it so the purge valve stuck open one of those valves is stuck open yes and they are the easiest things to reach in the
world yes other than the onetime use clamps mhm which is doable I shouldn't be able to blow through them they only open when they're commanded by the ECM to start pulling Vapor out of the canister so if they were closed you'd be getting resistance I could just keep blowing yeah it just keeps going in and it's going into the intake that's why we're not seeing smoke right all right so it is the classic stuck open purge valve scenario those are probably Volkswagen parts it well it has Audi Germany like an a part number on it
mhm take a picture of it huh trying to read it uh Jake you put this in it's uh vcd put little spin it 421 159 04 looks like that is CR cross referencing with an 08 to 20110 Porsche cayen purge valve 2008 how much 20 bucks hor of cayenne there we go so exclusive so we could just replace both of them to be safe right do I would do both yes and some clamps I guess nobody's going to see it so we could just do some normal clamps right if you come over and just put
your nose in this area you can smell gas Vapors that hose is open well you smell it down in here just a little you got more sensitive sniffer than me so I think what's happening is when you fill up it's all those fumes build up and immediately are going into the system okay and you said occasionally it still does it anyway just driving it around right it's sucking up those Vapors all the time it shouldn't be okay well I'm going to get me some cayenne Purge valves so it was resting on the intake right here
which I wonder if the the heat kind of killed it because it had broken at the edge this one is on really tight and this one's not so we've kind of just overdone it back on to where it doesn't rest up against the intake now very nice well I was hoping it was going to be something easy like that it's it's a miracle if that is indeed what it is but it definitely makes sense it does so on the Bugatti probably easy but I do have some other hoopties up here you did wrap up on
the Ferrari testarosa MH and then the hellcats finally going back together yes and we have a little bit of stuff to do with the 599 so you mind give us a little Ring Around the Rosie here sure yeah and then we can put the Bonnet on and I'll take you for a ride huh please don't step on it no no no yeah my manual 2016 Hellcat that showed up with a very very sick engine mhm the weight is finally over for parts that was the big problem wasn't it just waiting forever I was actually kind
of sick into my stomach this is an American muscle car like there's certain parts that I would call the dealership like head gaskets M exhaust manifold gaskets and they're just like indefinite backward there are none to be had so it's all back order it's all just waiting on people and a lot of that has to do with tantis and just not having the US market figured out at all U just I guess so but we have a head going back on I guess and that does that mean there's a crank in as well yep cranks
Pistons cam everything's in okay I found a guy on eBay who had original OEM head gaskets he said the catch is there's enough for three engines he said you have to buy all of it or none of it I said well I don't really have a choice here so send them to me okay bummer So Daniel son is pretending this is a Ferrari and putting it back together right yeah you have me working on this well there's a Ferrari there and a Ferrari out there yeah well and the tester Roa you've got it all back
together the interior is stunning that's the good news had the dash redone a lot of the Interior bits and it's all back together it all looks fantastic we have a fan that works is not on a a ghetto switch so it doesn't overheat but then when I went to drive it there's no heat like there there's no heat in the cabin now that we're getting into winter so that was the bad news right yeah and what we found that when he was driving is like if it's sitting idle and you rev it it can warm
up you start start to feel heat out of the the vents but as soon as you take it out it's colder out now the engine temperature you can watch the gauge just drop the thermostat's stuck open somebody probably just removed the thermostats with the previous heating issue they had or yeah and you remember how they bypassed it and had that switch just F some more ghess to work through so in addition to this thing being sort of a barn find where it sat for years back when it wasn't worth anything these were like4 $50,000 people
were just sort of doing whatever we saw the wiring and everything everything else so it makes sense that there's more stuff to get through and that's why that's why I paid $70,000 for this about half of what it's worth because I knew it was going to be uh quite a thing to go through it and then there's all the body work the holes and the undercarriage and things to do out well to reach the thermostat that's what you're talking about because you can do it with the engine in but it's a pretty crazy job well
yeah I know he really is it also has the oil leak because it recently had an engine out but then they pinched off uh one of the cam seals to where it's leaking oil so that needs the engine out to do it again well can it all be as easy as the Bugatti Veyron right you know really that came apart easier than this would I think right well and I did bring up because I was planning on taking this home just as is for now uh brought up the 599 to where you all can figure
it out because I have been procrastinating a little look at rub been procrastinating for I think two years now on the Val gaskets but they are bad yeah there is that beautiful Enzo V12 where I think the valve covers are leaking maybe on the inside towards the back cuz when it sits for a while and then when I go and drive it I get quite a bit of dribbl now it wasn't very bad when I first got it but obviously I've been putting it off for a while what yeah Daniel's getting ex excited over here
uhhuh so does this all also go with the $400 an hour new rate no no oh well so the reason why I find like because the leak's getting more dramatic mhm and it's due for a service oh quit saying oo and it has a check engine light it's saying a service electrical system on there so could we see what that is look he's very excited oh no yeah don't say that it's always going to have 2,000 codes it's a Ferrari but well you remember when I told you don't fill fill it up all the way
just the tank we seeing some fuel level sensor codes here oh please it's working just fine you just that that can reset well we'll try it what's the uh causing the check engine light problem the service electrical thing let's see so we have a it seems like it's just like battery faults like a lot of times they they kind of look scary but this is not the actual code the for I uses um you know it will use the code but it won't use the description so I have to go to a Ferrari and see
what these actual codes mean for Ferraris it usually on a Tinder whenever I'm not driving it but at the concour is going five six seven days without being on a Tinder sitting on a concore lawn with the door opening and closing cycling the pumps and all that stuff yep and then we're just starting up and moving it for a second then stopping so yep something very common that we used to do is just start with a battery you know make sure it's charge uh clear faults start the car see if it goes away that's good
it's not anything extra because I'll be spining some money on those uh valve covers and then the uh yeah the service it's been a year since last service so and I'll find more stuff wonderful well can you help us put the Bonnet back on and then I'm going to take wizard for a little ride you're kind of your uniforms are kind of Bugatti matching actually yeah it's kind of a foretelling of the future yeah my washer sticking out on all three all three washers are here are good too yes it's not that hard it really
isn't it's easier to get into than the cage but it's still tight yeah see yeah you fit my uh my rear end is too wide for these seats oh well I'm sitting on the bolsters sorry it's all right yeah you hear that mhm it just sounds like a really angry vacuum cleaner behind you it sounds like a like you're on a jet or something right yeah so this is the shifter they fixed huh that is the shifter they fixed so it wouldn't go into reverse they had the left back puts it in and that's what
fixed it they tried a transmission first so that was uh uh not good wow and no backup camera so um yeah the big air intakes make it hopefully there's nothing here to hit yes the center go go ahead it's got vents right here on the edges yep it's pretty neat yeah reversing is a little challenging and then it has the turning radius of a school bus so that's the two major downsides but otherwise it just drives like a car you know really y wasn't it Clarks when that said something you can just get in these
and just drive and yes yes forward yeah no not reversing is a little hard but uh yes and you won't drive anything faster 1,000 horsepower [Music] it really feels like you're in a like a commercial passenger jet Tak [Music] off it's ridiculous it doesn't sound like an engine no it does look like a jet it really does it is such a unique noise and we have the intakes right behind our head just to hear that whooshing and uh everything else is so quiet with the W6 all four turbos going right exactly it's it's so [Music]
different man 200 mph is no problem for this car no problem so think about it for a minute there's people out there that put $100,000 into their Challengers or Mustangs will never be able to touch this car not necessarily I mean yeah they'll get 1,000 horsepower out of them but I don't think it'll put it to the pavement like this with the Dual clutch on the all wheeel drive and all that for it to be able to hook up as well even in the cold like this yeah it's pretty dang impressive and to maintain to
maintain anything over 200 for extended periods right they could do that all day long yes well not all day about 15 20 minutes before it runs out of its 25 gon tank but yeah yeah now we're [Music] feel it just it doesn't stop pulling it doesn't stop you're right it it never stops that's the other thing with electric cars you get that instant launch like that but then it starts to Peter out 60 70 80 you know whatever it it starts to Peter out with this one it shifts it just keeps going keeps going and
going and going it is ridiculous it's like the the downward slope on a roller coaster that just never ends exactly yep I can feel my face pulling back yeah all right well I'll get those Purge Valves and then I think we can pop them in without it staying at your shop right I think we can do that yes and then I think we have a Bugatti yes that is very exciting wizard thank you so much for tackling this Bugatti with your limitations and as always thank you so much for watching who whoa whoa we have
a bill to pay oh you're not going anywhere yet that's right I can take the testarosa home and yeah pay your bill okay to be continued a little bit all right well that is a machine for sure and you're still daily driving the 500e it's been good huh yes it's been great okay so the tester Roa bill is whoa all right I did prepay some of this right yeah 2500 bucks but yeah to put the interior in and out $3,600 nice little aftermarket head unit in there 17918 I really went crazy on the head unit
it's hitting behind a panel so it doesn't really matter adding the switches and everything since I prepaid a little bit all in a little over $5,000 is what I spent on this and then most of it was the full interior removal hours hour and then the upholsterer it was like it was under two grand for that so got a nice looking car but a little ways to go but we hold on what what's this Bugatti you just improvised that that's the inspection and the work we just did and I'm basing it off of the paperwork
I was research 4789886200 it's Bugatti prices I didn't make those prices they did wizard wizard okay actually don't worry about it appreciate it okay I'll pay the bill we'll get the tester Roa out of here and uh thank you so much for watching I can say it now you can say it now thank you so much for watching
