publishing is an important way to Showcase your research to the world while publishing it is important that you publish your hard-earned research work in a reputed journal you need to find out journals that have gone through rigorous reviewing process by experts in that field such journals are termed as peer-reviewed journals or just reviewed journals or refereed journals the readers generally trust the authenticity and quality of researches that are published in these referee journals therefore it is important to find out whether the journal you are choosing to submit your research article is peer reviewed or not
hello and welcome back to another interesting video of explore bio on research and Publishing series I am Dr Abhishek and today I will tell you the best and most reliable way to find out if the journal is peer-reviewed or not without having an account or access to University libraries because most of the databases and libraries provide access only to their staff and students so watch the video till the end to learn about completely free and most authentic way to find if the journal is peer reviewed for this first thing you need to do is find
the journal in which the paper or review article you are interested in was published you can find this at the top of the paper for example as shown here or you may find it at the bottom of the paper as shown here if the journal is peer reviewed it means the research paper or review article published in it are also peer reviewed some articles like commentaries views newsletters even though published in peer-reviewed journals are not reviewed so these are certain exceptions but here I am talking just about research paper and review articles next you copy
the journal name and search for peer review information at its official website for example here I have selected International Journal of molecular sciences and search it on the internet this is the journal's home page and here you see that it is peer reviewed sometimes it is not easy to find if the journal is peer reviewed or not just looking at its home page for example when I searched for scientific report at its Journal home page I could not find information whether it is peer reviewed or not so what we can do in such cases is
we click on about the journal option as we go down here now we can see that it is peer reviewed next I want to check if science Immunology is peer reviewed or not we can also use find option by pressing Ctrl and F simultaneously to search for word peer and hit enter this works fine on Windows but in case of Linux Mac the keys may be different but you got a basic idea it save your time reading the entire content I think now you have learned how to find whether a journal is peer reviewed or
