but I think bus 27 goes there does it stop near my house I don't know you live on Beach Street right right why don't you look at the bus routes on the computer good idea this is 27 36 52 and 99 stop near the University of South Florida do any of those stop near Beach Street let's see no they don't then you'll have to transfer buses 11 and 87 stop on Beach Street then you'll have to take one of those first hey bus 11 and bus 52 both stop on Market Street hi Claire how was

riding the bus it was easy catching the bus and transferring was no problem how long did it take to get to school it only took 30 minutes when I drive it sometimes takes longer than that so will you ride the bus all the time now yes I will for the next two weeks Rita what can I get for you I've been dreaming about a hot chocolate all day well I'm glad I can make your dream come true me too so how have you been good it's been nice spending more time with Amber yeah it's good

trip it sure will I'm glad we're taking this trip together we need some time away from from Tampa look at this list we need to take all these things let me see first let's look over the list and see what we already have we both just bought new shoes and we have rain hats do we have our visas yet yes we just got them back with our passports yesterday that's good what about the stoping shop Amber can't work during the day should we close the store for a week that's a good idea staying in the

rainforest will be a real Adventure it sure will uh-oh what we need to see the doctor before we go oh no we have to get shots you can't be too careful when you visit the rainforest that's true wow just preparing for our trip will be an adventure huh hi you two Liz Greg told me about your trip it sounds like a lot of fun Brazil here we come I know you'll have a great time we just got our itinerary today what time is your flight our plane leaves Tampa next Monday morning at 9:30 when do

you come back we return on October 22nd we're going on a six day adventure in the rainforest wow where are you staying we're staying on a houseboat a houseboat that sounds like fun I hope you two are ready for an adventure we are but we're not ready for the trip we have a list of things to get when Amber gets here you and I should go shopping good idea it looks like you two went shopping we needed new backpacks and clothes for our trip so you're ready to go almost we just need a few more

things and we need to pack do you have time to have dinner with us tonight we might have some things you need sure that would be great that was a great dinner thanks Jeff no problem I wanted you to have one last dinner before you go before you get eaten by piranhas yeah maybe you'll be swimming in a river and right behind you piranha is getting ready to eat you thanks for the bug repellent that's one more thing we can check off our list we bought a lot of bug repellent for our last trip I'm

a minute we'll only have a week for sight seeing that's right you can't see all the famous places in one week so we should choose one place yes okay hm what do I want to see in Europe Paris is famous for great art museums London also has some great museums and we can speak English there so how are we going to decide why don't you look on the computer good idea let's see which cities have things we really want to see there are so many places to go in Europe let's just choose two cities and

decide between them that would be easier we can each choose one where do you want to go Paris I think why I want to go to Paris to see the Lou what about you Amber I want to go to London there are lots of attractions there so you'll decide between Paris and London right there are some cool castles in London I know those would be fun to see so let's go to London but I would love to see the Eiffel Tower in Paris too which city is easier to get around both cities have subways that

would be the best way to travel around this isn't going to be an easy decision Paris and London both have interesting attractions and delicious food and cool stores and they're both expensive you can't choose the cheaper place how are we going to decide well let's go home and talk to Dad right we'll just have to tell him tell him what tell him we need a a longer vacation hi honey what did the doctor say Mia you look like you're in shock is it something serious the doctor said I'm not sick then why have you been

so sick to your stomach Jeff your dream has come true we're going to have a baby what I'm pregnant really are you sure yes the doctor said I'm already 5 weeks pregnant wow we're going to be parents we already are parents I know Mia I know this isn't what you wanted right now I do want this this is wonderful but it's really a surprise isn't it we didn't plan to have children for two more years right I love my job I don't feel ready to give it up to be a mom well we always said

you'd stop working when we had kids but if you don't Jeff yes I will stop working at the newspaper when we have the baby are you sure yes this is hard and I may not feel ready for it it but I know that every life is a gift even one that wasn't planned so I'll be the best mom I can be I know you will that's why I love you Mia so Jeff and Mia why did you ask us all to come here well everyone we have a surprise we wanted to share it with all

of you what is it is me a pregnant yeah Jeff you tried that last April Fool's Day but we won't believe you this time so what's your announcement just tell us well we are expecting a baby you want us to believe you're pregnant I am pregnant she is really I don't know well it was a surprise for us too we're really going to have a baby so I'm buying coffee for everyone Jeff spending money they must be telling the truth congratulations soia how are you feeling well I've been really tired and a little sick to

my stomach that's why she went to the doctor yesterday oh well here have a seat get comfortable I'll get your coffee uh she'll have water what well honey you shouldn't have coffee while you're pregnant it's not good for the baby I can deal with being pregnant but I don't know if I can deal with no coffee for 9 months this is such wonderful news I can't wait till your baby's born when is the baby due in June when can you find out if it's a boy or a girl probably in January I hope it's a

girl daughters are great well I'm really happy for you too thanks thanks Mia this is exciting but I thought you wanted to wait longer before you have children we did I really enjoy my job but life doesn't always go the way we plan that's true I'm worried about how my boss will react he might not understand why I want to stay home with the baby well I think it's great that you want to you'll be wonderful parents thank you honey you amaze me I do yes you work so hard to become an editor but you're

willing to give it up for our family well you amaze me too really yes you've wanted a baby for so long but all day you've thought of me first thank you you're welcome I love you and I love you little baby I love both of you too but Jeff are you sure I can't have any coffee baby what do you think thanks for lunch Cara oh no thank you Liz my music store has really turned the corner really that's great news I'm so thankful for all your help you're welcome I'm really happy for you my

dream is finally coming true I have my own business and it's profitable it's also good that you like what you do that's true I love my music store it must be fun to do something you love it is don't you like working at the stoping shop it's not bad but it's not easy I always have to compare prices with other stores oh I know what you mean every month I'm figuring out what our prices should be right you're always asking yourself are prices too high what would happen if prices were lower right it's not fun

and it's hard to compete with large discount stores it is I wish I could just have a nice little store with no problems I don't like worrying about being profitable every month that's business but it's also exciting right it has been but I've thought about doing something else really what would you like to do managing the Stop and Shop isn't an adventure but managing profit and loss margins every month can be exciting you really think so I have to admit Liz I like business really I like it almost as much as I like music what

wow that's great so what are you going to do oh nothing the Stop and Shop might not be exciting but it's a good business besides what else would I do I don't know what do you like I like Adventure I loved Brazil well business is an adventure maybe one month is a down month the adventure is trying to do better the next month right right some months I just break even but even that's fun because I know I did lose money you're right it is an adventure doing business can be fun are you two girls

and he needs a new one ASAP wow what did you say I said yes I need a job and I love being a coach so it's perfect when do you start well I can't move before January I have to sell the health nut and you're moving yes uh why do you have to move because my university is in Canada Canada oh Scott you have so many friends here are you sure you want to move yeah you could work full-time at the HealthNet and maybe get a coaching job in Tampa thanks but this coaching job is

a great opportunity for me I think I should take it we'll miss you man uh hi Nick oh are you here for your art lesson yes isn't it today I think so Mom probably forgot though again well she has a good excuse this time she got fired yesterday fired no way yeah I'm worried about her she's been in her room a lot since she found out is she thinking about what she's going to do for a living now I guess so she she doesn't need to work for a living dad makes enough money hey maybe

help sell it Liz tell me it isn't true what isn't true tell me you're not moving to Brazil we are moving Amber Greg has a new job can't he turn it down I could but I don't want to but you'll sell the stoping shop I'll lose my job I'm sorry Amber maybe the new owner will hire you who is the new owner we don't know yet oh you're a good worker Amber you'll find another job easily yes you have some job experience now I know but it won't be the same working for someone else it

she has been to she has lived in Taiwan for 50 years so she's been to a lot of tea houses [Music] is a really exciting thing happened at the Tea House a customer Jim said that Derek our server spilled hot tea on him and burned him but Jim didn't act like he was in pain also if Jim's skin were burned it should be red and hot his arm was wet but not red so I knew he lied then we checked Jim's table his pot of tea was almost full and we found a half empty water

of taiwan's Cross Island Highway workers built this highway in the 1950s hundreds of workers died building it I saw their names at the Eternal spring Shrine lots of people visit tyoko Gorge it's a very popular place tyoko is the largest marble gorge in the world the road through it is next to the lewo River it's so pretty I loved looking up at the Gorge walls and then down into the river I really liked the tunnel of nine turns some parts of the tunnel are open you can look down at the river and in some places

The Gorge is really narrow you can't see the sky the mountains around here are really beautiful they are so different from the mountains at home in Colorado Mountains here are not as high and they have a lot more trees tonight we are staying in a hotel in The Gorge tomorrow we'll hike more and visit another waterfall Brian told me about so many beautiful places here I want to see them all I already love tyroo Gorge The tyroo Traveler Patty good morning Patty did you sleep well oh yes I'm ready for another hike which waterfall are

pretty there it's also an easy hike but that trail is now called sakad dang Trail oh that's right the name changed well get in the car we need to drive to the trail head the scenery is pretty here grandma look at those big striped rocks in the river I'm hot let's go swimming no sorry swimming here is too dangerous on the way back we'll stop at the bridge of motherly devotion we can go down to the river there and put our feet in the water that's a strange name for a bridge maybe but it's beautiful

sleep and she took his wallet did she she said no and she doesn't even remember this man the man was in seat 48 but she was in seat 49 is everything okay Patty you have a window seat beside me you have seat 38 and I have seat 40 but then we aren't beside each other sure we are all the seats with even numbers are together and all the seats with odd numbers are together wait a minute then the man is lying Brian [Music] dear Journal I'm on the train Roger is sleeping and Brian is listening

to music I like my window seat the scenery is beautiful I can see the mountains and the ocean something interesting happened at the train station a man lied about his missing wallet and blamed a woman for it but she didn't take his wallet because she did not sit beside him the women is okay [Music] now I bought a lunch box on the train in The Lunchbox was a piece of meat an egg some vegetables and rice it was warm and it was very good I also talked with some other passengers on the train many people

like to practice their English but I should be practicing my Chinese the train conductor is here and people are showing their tickets to him it's interesting to watch people many people are talking on their cell phones others are reading and many are sleeping just like Roger I'm too excited to sleep I'm on my way to type I can't wait to see taipe 101 and to meet Daisy Roger's friend what a fun trip from the train [Music] Patty so this is Taipei I like it paty this is only taipe main station just wait until we get

good riding the bus isn't a mystery but maybe you'll find another one to solve you're a detective Roger told me about you oh here comes our bus so why do people call this building pipe 101 well the building is in Taipei and it has 101 floors wow that's tall we have tall buildings at home but none are This Tall well let's go in which way is the entrance it's over there come on [Applause] so what can we do here we can shop I can see that there are a lot of stores what else can we

do we can go up to the observatory on the 89th floor we can see all of Taipei from up there fun but can we eat first I'm hungry the food court is downstairs follow me okay I'm full let's have some fun let's go up to the observatory all right hey there's a nice bookstore on the fourth floor can we stop there on the way sure does this bookstore sell English books yes this bookstore has 160,000 different English books wow that's a lot let's go uh Patty where are you going the bookstore is this way right

my cousins and I explored Taipei with our new friend Daisy Daisy took us to see a lot of the sites in Taipei we went to the National Palace Museum a place called shiman Ding and a few other interesting places we even got to ride the MRT my favorite part of the weekend was going to taipe 101 there was so much to see and do there we ate shopped and visited the 89th floor Observatory the views from the observatory were amazing I've never been in such a tall building before I liked looking at the different landmarks

around Taipei everything looked so small I took a lot of pictures I could even see Colorado while I was up there well kind of there was a sign and it showed which direction home was that was fun to see while we were up in the observatory I opened my wallet and found I had 589 NT extra in my wallet Daisy remembered that 589 NT was the price my travel book she suggested that maybe the bookstore forgot to charge me for it I looked at my receipt and Daisy was right I wanted to do the right

thing so I went back to the store and paid for the book I'm happy I did doing the right thing always feels good on top of the world patty patty Roger and Daisy are in a grocery store they are looking for things for a picnic they are going to the beach soon they are excited Roger is taking a lot of things off the shelves Patty and Daisy put some things back they don't need so much stuff they only buy the picnic things they leave the store and go to the beach I love the beach me

too hey Roger does this beach have cute lifeguards I don't know how do I say help I'm drowning in Chinese you can just say Jo Ming can you swim Patty yes but maybe I can practice Chinese with a cute lifeguard oh Patty do you need some sunscreen Daisy I can put it on your back for you no thanks I want a tan first why my skin is too white Roger do you want some sunscreen not yet I'm going in the water first are you girls coming let's go that was fun I love the ocean me

too swimming is fun I like swimming in a pool better though the water is cleaner and it doesn't have salt in it well you don't have to drink the ocean water I didn't try to drink it you splashed me the water went into my mouth I'm sorry no you're not you're righty there aren't very many people in the ocean today maybe Chinese people don't like to swim no you're wrong I see Chinese people at the pool all the time some of them are great swimmers oh well maybe they're not here to swim maybe they just

come to the beach to have fun that's why we're here hey guys let's go for a walk along the beach okay I'm going to lie here on my towel a little longer I want a tan come on you can go with us and get a tan at the same time oh all right but first you both really need to put on some suntan lotion that was a fun walk Patty but the rocks on the beach hurt my feet why didn't you wear sandals I told you to and I'm hot too we walked a long time

rocks and shells all also I saw some crabs but I didn't touch them Roger wanted me to but I was scared and I solved another mystery well it wasn't a big mystery I just helped someone find something I saw Derek our server from the tea house we went to on my second day in Taiwan actually I didn't see him and he didn't see me and we we bumped into each other I was embarrassed but it was kind of funny Derek lost his watch on the beach so I helped him look for it we couldn't find

it then Derek joined us for our picnic the food tasted so good I wanted some ice so Derek and I went to the store on the way we saw a pretty girl with a tan and a nice watch it looked like d I's watch so we went to talk to her the girl said she wore the watch all the time but she didn't have a tan line on her wrist from wearing a watch so I knew she lied well I'm feeling very tired from all the Sun and excitement beach girl [Music] Patty is dinner ready

three cup chicken fried rice eggplant water spinach and green bean soup Chinese food is so flavorful the three cup chicken and green bean soup were sweet the eggplant was a little spicy and the fried rice and spinach were salty tonight I learned that a Chinese Wedding Banquet often has eight courses of food wow that's a lot of food I think Chinese food is becoming one of my favorite Cuisines I want to learn to cook Chinese food and maybe Suzie AI can teach me first I'll start with cooking rice that should be easy boy I am
