so ladies and gentleman this is the cold hard honest truth of how I actually started making my money and this is something people are obsessed with and I think I've covered once before almost a year ago when I was out in Bali but I thought I'd give you guys a little bit more of the juicy little details so I'm gonna talk about stuff in this video that I've never talked about ever in fact I'm gonna talk about stuff in this video that I almost erased from my mind and forgot even happened and I think it's
gonna teach you guys a lot of lessons so here goes as many you guys know I started making money by growing Instagram accounts then selling them then buying Instagram accounts then selling paid promotions on them I started doing this in 2014 and that's kind of when influencer marketing was sprouting up and becoming a legitimate thing that brands were spending money on and in the way that I actually got funds to start buying these accounts was I was growing some initial accounts and I don't know why but for some reason I just started posting photos to
do with entrepreneurship or at least the flashy side of entrepreneurship luxury travel cars this that and someone actually DM me offering to buy my account and I favor joking I got put in like a telegram group where people were buying selling accounts selling promotions etc etc I actually went ahead and sold that account and that's how I got my first couple hundred pounds to then go out and buy some other smaller accounts roll them up sell some promotions to watch companies to come as it sold backpacks wallets etc you know anything you can think of
that was a cool thing about having a luxury account at a lot of times I would find accounts in other niches for example an account just about watches and I would rebrand it to overall luxury so I could sell more promotions now one of my accounts at the time and this was not up for sale I think I started this account maybe summer of 2014 actually gonna go ahead and check this might take me a while there's four hundred and thirty posts okay no my first post was 14th of December 2014 and I'm actually gonna
throw up on the screen what the post was it says used to be my cup of coffee I drink champagne now and if I look at the description I spelled assess wrong I spelled asses it's meant to be a SS SS I just spelt it with one s at the end making it asses not assess but anyways that was one of my accounts is actually called the norm but obviously I couldn't make that the username so I made it for cook the norm so anyways long story short that account was almost my journal it was
something that was very cathartic to me it was something that I could just put my ideas down my worldview what I was learning through books and just kind of my experiences down on paper or technically digitally through these captions and yeah that was what I did and that is one secret for any you guys who receive my emails or if you don't my team redistributes it on youtube like we do look those little YouTube posts as well and some other platforms but people ask me all the time how do you get so good at copyright
really I bring it down to number one reading so many books number two just a lot of experience writing as I said I had maybe 350 posts on that account and I used to write really long form captions on there I remember a long time I would struggle because I'd be way over the character limit on Instagram so reading tons of writing also once again nominate people know this about me but I used to write a lot of poetry just in my free time when I was like 15 years old so that was kind of
until the age of 15 16 and then from then on I've accumulated a lot of swipe copy you know whenever I see an email whenever I see a post whenever I see an ad that I like I put it in a swipe copy folder and I just have a collection of all these ads that I'm a big fan of including ads back in the 60s 70s 80s a lot of these old-school ads and once again I have a lot of experience now I've been writing three emails a week four emails a week to my list
for 18 months at this point and obviously prior to that I used to be the one who used to write all the copy for all my clients at IG media so think about it I've got six seven eight nine clients at a time we're all ecommerce businesses and info product businesses but there are in all these different niches and industries so while I'm working with one or two niches I'm learning about all these different markets so just a lot a lot of experience anyway the reason I want to make this video is first of all
tell you how I actually started making my money and kind of break it down in more detail and show you living real-world proof of one of the accounts that I had but I sold this account I think August of 2015 so pretty much anything before all of 2015 I wrote the captions I think I can tell which ones are mine so I remember by the end because school is coming around and stuff like that I put in just keep writing these little captions so I think it's actually I can also tell because it's the ones
that my friends and ex-girlfriend like and then once I sold the account they stopped okay here it is because they changed the font as well okay 28th of September may see the handover so if you go look on the account and I'll drop the link here 28th of September anything prior to that point if you guys want to see what my copy writing was like back when I was 15 there's your answer so as I said I ended up selling about a count I don't remember how much for I think it was a few thousand
pounds but what I want you to get from that is I was practicing a high income skill five years ago without realizing it now although I don't have a copywriting agency or we don't do email marketing for our clients or anything like that writing has still been a big part of service delivery and said I used to write all my clients ads I also when I do my webinar funnel builds for clients I do all the backend emails I charge twenty-five thousand pounds tonight it takes me two three days max but two days in person
so I was practicing that skill five years ago without even realizing it and it's these high income skills that you need to stack up you need to stack up skills like sales advertising copywriting I'd say out of all the high income skills out there if you're good at sales and just the operations of a business you can easily make six figures I'd say really that's the bare bones but for example in the world of design they call people full stack which means they can basically do everything I want you to become full stack I want
you to be incredible at sales copywriting operations advertising accounting managing your company's cash flow I want you I want you to be full stack at all these areas but definitely you need to be developing sales I see is number one and operations those two things will get you very very far in the world of entrepreneurship but as I said keep keep stacking those skills and copywriting was a skill in 2015 that I didn't realize I was stacking but I was now the other thing that I want to tell you is I'll drop a screenshot of
the the norm page now there's actually a parody page of it it's for cutting the norm except with a with a zero and I've mentioned this before but what do you think 14 15 16 year olds reaction is when they find out that there's someone in their school who's meditating in the bathrooms during lunch breaks while everyone else is going out and buying food what do you think people's reaction is when there's someone who from the age of 15 it's like I'm gonna have a successful business and I'm not gonna go to university do you
think the people in my school took well to that or do you think the people in my school abuses the out of it and just made fun of me and that's kind of the second point that I want to bring up is there's actually a couple people in my year and they made this parody account once I found out that I had this page and while I was practicing my copywriting once again I didn't realize I was practicing my copyright they were practicing their writing to basically just try and on what I was doing to
belittle me to pull me down I remember I remember the amount of times I'd be in my lunch with cafeteria and they'd bring it up or you know everyone there literally be like 510 people around me just laughing at me for having this account I guess I could almost laugh at myself at the fact that yeah I understood that what I was doing was not normal for a fifteen-year-old but look as strong as I was I'm not gonna lie like it got to me for sure I've said this before I felt very very isolated growing
up I felt I don't know how I describe it isolation loneliness just I was excited to leave school is all I can say I think if I wasn't such a strong person I would a hundred percent have been totally totally bullied I think it's just I was doing the same stuff at 17 as I was at 14 I think people in my school just kind of realized like okay whether we make fun of him whether we spend our free time to write an account that the whole school is looking at to laugh at this guys
accountant where he's putting out his thoughts and his worldview yeah said everyone everyone in school who's laughing at it so you know it was definitely tough but I guess the the funny thing about it and the reason I'm telling you guys this is those same people who went out of their way to on me are the same people that at present in 20 25 years later say that I'm lucky say that I found a cheat code say that I found a get-rich-quick scheme which is to me the most hilarious thing ever because because the business
I started with my main business my agency it's literally just me and my tea me and my team provides services to businesses in return for a retainer or sometimes a retainer and a performance fee it's not very glamorous so my point to this whole video is kind of three parts number one just to give you guys some genuine context and genuine background as to how I first started making money number two is just kind of to give you my support my my love if you're someone who's going through getting bullied at school not to say
that I was I'd never considered that sort of stuff like for me as that I could laugh myself the fact that it wasn't normal that was meditating in my bathrooms while everyone else was having their lunch because that was the only time that I found in my day while trying to build some sort of business at night and once again I went from having a business where I was flipping Instagram accounts and I was training my friends parents and then I was doing photography videography and that's led me into having creative agency that I mean
it's having an advertising agency so my point is like I had multiple things I was trying but at least I was trying and if you're watching this and you're trying and you are going to college or you're going to school or maybe even at work and people are trying to belittle you put you down I felt your pain like you've seen some literal evidence that you can see by side by side accounts I felt your pain it's not easy but as I said if you want to achieve anything in life it's just something you go
through and you have the fun satisfaction of having all this success and then you would think that especially people have seen you from the beginning making long sacrifices that you made it's not like they've just seen the final product they know the pain that you've gone through you would think that they're like okay now it all might not it there's still like he got lucky or whatever so you know that that's just life now my last point is learn a high income skill obviously for me the main thing that I teach people is sales advertising
marketing I teach people copywriting I teach all this stuff in agency incubator so a 25 hour long program through weekly lab Q&A calls through recordings plug in place one-click integrations I mean it's basically a total done for you agency as an I do everything so that way you can have pretty much a six-figure agency just put in a box and hand it to you but the other high income skill that I'm so grateful that I nurtured from a young age was copywriting because you guys know that my dying passion is teaching people how to build
their agency that's why I own greed and c-calm that's why in 2019 beginning of 2019 I stopped teaching personal branding although between myself and my agency then runs ads for info for businesses I'm probably one of the most well versed and most credible people to be teaching personal branding and building an education company that's not my passion that's not what I believe is the best business model to make 10 20 30 40 50 thousand dollars a month profit for me it's agency so I was a little reluctant to actually go ahead and make this program
for you guys but I get so many questions on copywriting how I write my emails how I write my ads for my clients because the thing is I'm telling you right now that the easiest way for you to retain your clients the easiest way to make sure that your clients stay on longer is by obviously getting better results for them and the biggest aspect of that and the biggest reason that you guys are losing clients that you're advertising for is because your copy is not good enough that is a guarantee because if we look at
campaign ad set and AD there's not too much you can do on the ad set side of things there's a lot more that you can do if you're running ads for e-commerce and info product businesses but especially if you're running ads for local businesses there's not too much you can do in terms of the targeting side of things and a long time with our e-commerce clients we're doing broad targeting the reason that we get such good results for our clients and our retention rate is so high is the fact that our copy that we write
for our clients is like no one else out there and that was all nurtured five years ago with my account shikaka the norm and you know me just developing this high income skill that I didn't realize was a high income skill so as I said ladies and gentleman I do not plan on having this be evergreen this will be available for this week only and that is it so the Penta profit mentorship program is a 10 to 15 hour course and apart from that it is also one our mentorship call with Kieran who is our

will have a knock-on effect to all the other KPIs on the ad itself which in turn will make you a hell of a lot more money I actually go ahead and put in a clip right now from the IG media case study funnel this is actually the funnel that I run ads to to get clients for my agency well go ahead and put a segment in there where I portray just how big a difference good copy makes so very few people realize just how important is to have well-written ads I'm about to shock you by
comparing okay copy compared to good copy now good copywriting has a whole snowball effect because on Facebook you know when Facebook season ad doing well with good engagement which you know that's what a well-written ad does is it sparks engagement it actually continues to promote it and drives the CPM down so it's actually easier it's you know it's cheaper to advertise that ad right because is that Facebook fevers the fact that it's getting good engagement good click-through rates etc etc okay that said the main metric that good copywriting effects is click to rate okay because
out of a hundred people that see it click-through rate is what percentage of those people will actually click on the ad okay and I'll explain that in just a sec but we'll use an e-commerce brand for this example but this applies to any business now let's say both ads get a CPM which means cost per thousand times the ad was seen of ten dollars okay so it's getting a 10 dollar CPM now that means that each impression is costing you one cent okay so it costs one cent for someone to actually see that now let's
say that that econ brand gets an average conversion rate of 2% from unique click to customer that means that one out of every 50 people who click on the ad become customers now here's we're actually going to go ahead and throw a spanner into the works and change things up one piece of copy is very enticing who's decently well versed in coffee you know they're okay but the other is written by experts like us the ok coffee gets a click-through rate of one percent which means one out of every hundred people who see the ad
click on it now the expert copy gets a click-through rate of 1.5 percent which means one out of every 66 people will click on it so we have the CPM we have the click-through rate of the CTR let's fill the rest the ok coffee gets a cost per click of $1 because they sent one out of every hundred people who sees the ad clicks on it and it costs one cent per impression so one cent times 100 equals one dollar now the expert coffee gets a 66 cent cost per click because one out of every
66 clicks you know what I have every 66 people clicks on the hat and it costs one cent per impression so 666 times 1 cent okay so we end off with a one dollar cost per click for the ok coffee compared to 66 cent cost per click for the expertly ran coffee now this doesn't seem too big a difference does it but it is ok and here's kind of where it really makes a big difference in where your store see we know this econ brand has a 2% conversion which means it takes 50 people to
come to the site in order to get a purchase now this is where we can plug in the remaining numbers the okay copy leads to a cost per purchase of $50 because $1 cost per click times 50 okay now the expert copy costs for purchase of $33 because it's a 66 cent cost per click times 50 so you're left with a $33 cost per acquisition versus a $50 cost per acquisition that means that you net 33% more just by having your copy written by a real expert now multiply that by a thousand or even 10,000
orders in a month and you're literally keeping it an extra 17,000 to a hundred seventy thousand dollars a month in your pocket so as you can see guys it is a no-brainer whether you're running ads for your agency itself whether you're running the ads for your agency clients or whether you're an info product on our e-commerce owner yourself who runs your own ads matter what the instance is here coffee is one of those high income skills one of those high impact skills I hope that this video has inspired you and showing you really just the
